Bio

This is my second profile on here, and I have been Play-By-Post RPing for about nine years now. I do my best to see every RP to the end or at least let my character come to his/her own dramatic conclusion when I feel like signing off. Just like novel writing in real life, I tend to find myself on long hiatuses. Since writing is a great way to work out your brain, I try stay engaged as much as possible.

My favorite genres include futuristic worlds, mysteries, and super powers. Any mixture of these three elements will peek my interest.

I should have a moment tomorrow to get a post up. Apologies for the delay. Things have been spiraling on a personal level.

No worries.

And since no one has replied since my last IC post. I will not be making an IC post today.

I look forward to everyone's next posts. It's a brand new day.
I apologized for not posting yet! I've just been kind of struggling these past two weeks Haha. I promise I'll post sometime this weekend!

No worries. The struggle can be real sometimes. Post when you can. :)
I hope everyone is fine with a skip to the next day. It just seemed like everyone's day was winding down.

@Alisdragon911: As for our Pokemon Showdown battle, we can still have that whenever you're available. My two Pokemon team is ready and waiting. Just let me know what day and when you would be available. I can sneak in a quick battle any day of the week.

As previously mentioned, my next IC post will be Friday.

March 2nd, 2019 was a cold day for many in the Northern Hemisphere, a day of new beginnings, and another day in the life for others. Some would lay their head down comfortably, while others would have scrap to get by. Such is the way of the world.

March the third couldn't come quick enough...

@jeroukoo
Having spent the night in an uncomfortable, yet warm, holding cell, it was now time for Malcolm to wake up and get a move on. It was 9:30am and a toasty 2°F when Malcolm was released back onto the streets. The kind officer at the front desk who gave him back his belongings suggested that he stay at the local Wyoming Rescue Mission homeless shelter, located a few blocks away... if he were to stay another night in Casper at all. Though, thoughts of traveling south were definitely tempting...

@Alisdragon911
Faye had (won/lost) her first Pokemon battle, but more importantly she had made a friend. There was no bitterness between either trainer or their Pokemon. It was 11am in the morning, and they were checking out of the Pokemon Center together.
"So do you want to travel together for a while? Or are you the lone wolf type?" Samantha joked.

@Wayward
Despite a moderately comfortable bed to sleep on, Bryan had to find out the hard way why they called this "The City That Never Sleeps". Sirens, the occasional backfiring car (or perhaps gunshot?), either way, he was up early and ready to get moving. If he was serious about taking on this New York City gym league, he would need to visit one of the other boroughs today, but which one...?

@ouTland01
Even the great state of Texas was cold this Sunday morning. By the time Avery left the Poke Center, it was right at 32°F. Literally freezing in Texas, what was the world coming to? And the projected high for the day? A whopping 37°F. Still, he was hear for a reason, and he wouldn't let the weather drag him down.
Two things

First: @Alisdragon911

Let's try to battle on Pokemon Showdown today, before I do my post, if at all possible. I'd say between 7 to 10 pm eastern time; you can pick the exact hour. I'll be online periodically between now and 7pm to see what time works best for you. So, fingers crossed that you see this message before then.

Second: @ouTland01

I've added your character to the Map, and here is a list of Pokemon in your area (within a 50 mile radius or so). Also, I'm going to add rarity to each Pokemon, having four levels of rarity: (Common, Uncommon, Rare, Ultra Rare). The rarities are for your use; do with them what you like. They are not dependent on Pokemon strength, but simply how common they are in that particular area. Travel closer to their normal habitat (like the ocean for Tentacool) and they will become more common.

Squirtle (Rare): In and around rivers and lakes.
Tentacool (Ultra Rare): Deep inside large lakes.
Farfetch'd (Rare): Anywhere away from large groups of people.
Dunsparce (Rare): In dry grasslands.
Zigzagoon (Common): In forests, parks, and sometimes the suburbs.
Numel (Ultra Rare): Hiding out from the cold inside caves.
Cacnea (Rare): In dry grasslands.
Shellos (Uncommon): In and around rivers and lakes.
Stunky (Common): In forests and mountains, away from people.
Tepig (Ultra Rare): Hiding from the cold in forests and mountains.
Patrat (Common): In grasslands and thin forests.
Druddigon (Rare): In the mountains, keeping a low profile in the winter.
Vullaby (Uncommon): Nesting in mountains, hunting for miles around.
Heatmor (Rare): Hiding from the cold in forests and mountains.
Hawlucha (Rare): In the forests and mountains.

I have tomorrow off work. I'll be making a post by the end of the day. If you haven't posted since my last reply, you can try to get one in before I do. If not, my next IC post after that will probably come Friday (my next day off work).
[Accidental Double Post. Please Ignore]
Crowne suddenly appeared at his trainer's side, pawing at her leg and clambering up with little grace. Looking over the table, the Wartortle glanced up at Margo with a wide smile before slapping his stubby arms onto the table expectantly. Margo gave an apologetic smile at the woman as she placed her hands on Crowne's and removed them from grabbing at the book she had just put out for observation. "Well... Here is Crowne, my Wartortle, and the book that you... felt. What do you make of it? All the pages were blank when we got it... Nothing to be seen anywhere, really."

The old lady's eyes grew wide as Margo took the book out of its hiding place. "I'm not sure exactly." She said, not taking her eyes of the book. "Can you open it for me?"

Margo opened the book for the woman, who then reached out and touched the page that Margo had turned to. "Whatever this is, its energy is unlike anything I've every felt, but..." Suddenly, the old lady looked up at Margo, a realization on the tip of her mind. "Where did you say you came across this book?"

Margo then relayed the story about the tree in the Zanna Historical Library.

"Yes, it makes sense now. I've heard legends about that tree, but I never believed they could be true. You see, that tree is said to be the oldest tree in Septoh. It is also said that the tree continues to grow, to this very day, but instead of growing upward, it grows downward, through it's roots. Legend has it, that tree's roots stretch underneath the entire region. Legend also has it, that the tree is alive in a way no other tree is, that it has a mind of its own. It listens to everything that happens in Septoh, and it remembers everything it's every heard, all of the secrets, all of the stories. If this book came from that tree, as you say, you should hold on to it with everything you have."

Then the old lady held up a finger, asking Margo to wait while she walked across the room and grabbed a necklace off a dresser in the corner. She walked back to the table, with the necklace held out toward Margo ceremoniously. The part that would go around the neck was made from a simple rope, and the center piece was a small pearl, a smaller version of the one on the table. The little pink pearl had an soft glow to it, that grew ever so brighter as it got closer to the table.

"Here, this is a gift. I want you to wear it. This pearl will glow when it's around psychic energies like that book or if there is a psychic Pokemon nearby. If it ever glows brighter, and you don't know why, check that book of yours. I suspect it will give off more energy whenever it does... well... whatever it does. All I want in return is for you to promise me; you'll call me when something happens. I'm as curious as you to know what it does. Will you do that for me?"
@jeroukoo

The ride to police station was quiet, peaceful almost. When they made it to the station, the cops took Malcolm's belongings (including his Pokeballs) and checked them in at the front desk. They also gave him a pat down to be sure he wasn't carrying any weapons or hidden Pokeballs and had to have him take off his shoes (to everyone's dismay).

There wasn't a bed to sleep on in the holding room; it was just a wide open room with nothing in it but a bench that was attached to the wall and ran its entire length. There was no privacy either, as the doors and front wall were steel bars painted white, and the lights left no shadowy corner. In one of these well lit corners, a sleeping man with a rising and falling beer-belly would be Malcolm's temporary roommate.

Still, at least he wasn't out in the cold...

@Alisdragon911

"That's okay." Samantha answered back. "I spent the last few days camping by a river. I caught two Pokemon while I was out there. This will be their first battle." She then stood up from the table with her now empty tray. "Come on, there's a little park outside around the corner. I saw some people battling out there earlier. We better hurry, it's going to be to dark to see soon."

A few minutes later, the two trainers were outside. They stood across from each other on a grass field. "Come on out Clauncher!" Emerging from her Pokeball, the little Clauncher looked around, slightly confused, before realizing what was going on and snapping her claws together in anticipation. "She's not used to traveling by Pokeball yet. Anyways, who are you gonna use first?" Samantha smiled, wide and friendly.

@Wayward

"Why yes we do." The kind lady behind the desk answered. She then took Bryan's trainer card for a quick scan. After scanning it, she came out from behind the counter and motioned for Bryan to follow. "Right this way." The lady then led Bryan to the nearest elevator, where she stopped and gave him general directions on how to get to his room. "Check out is at 1pm, unless your staying another night with us. Of course, like all Poke Centers, we have a two night maximum. Breakfast will start at 7am and stop at noon. And... yeah... That's pretty much it. Any questions?"

Bryan's room was on the tenth floor. It was small but cozy, and it had everything he needed. By all accounts, it was like any economy hotel room, including a shower, a TV, and a full size bed. It would be enough for him and his Pokemon.

I'll post soon! It'll probably be another training post. Im trying to practice my writing so I can paint a clear picture of the appeals xD

Sounds good. :)
