Bio

This is my second profile on here, and I have been Play-By-Post RPing for about nine years now. I do my best to see every RP to the end or at least let my character come to his/her own dramatic conclusion when I feel like signing off. Just like novel writing in real life, I tend to find myself on long hiatuses. Since writing is a great way to work out your brain, I try stay engaged as much as possible.

My favorite genres include futuristic worlds, mysteries, and super powers. Any mixture of these three elements will peek my interest.

So, I just noticed this, but your character's focus spread is "Speed - Attack - Defense", which by the way, should be written "Speed > Attack > Defense".

I should have noticed this last time you posted, but you made your Defense stronger than your Attack, which shouldn't be possible. With your spread, as you set it, your defense should be your lowest stat.

Also, did you understand my last post about the new SERIOUS feature? You can temporarily multiply one of your stats by 2 each time you post.

@BladeSS4@Darkmoon Angel@FalloutJack

Okay everyone,

I'm adding another battle feature. Our characters have been destroying their competition with relative ease up until this point, but now it is time to get serious. So, from here on out, you have the option to give a SERIOUS boost to one of your three stats. The base power of these stats still have to be in line with your normal spread; meaning that if you have a spread of "Defense > Attack > Speed" you still can't have speed be more than attack or defense still, but you can apply the SERIOUS boost to speed, to temporarily accomplish just that.

As an example of this, please refer to the bottom of this post: roleplayerguild.com/posts/5091103
Notice how he boosts his Attack to make it stronger than his defense, but the base stat for the attack is still less than his defense's base stat.

Also, you will notice that I decided to make his speed 16. This is because speed is divided by 4 before being added to damage dealt and damage blocked. You all can do this too. Just remember these three things:

* Attack is always divided by 10 to calculate recoil. So your attack stat should always be divisible by 10.
* The Speed stat is always divided by 4 before it effects damage. So your defense stat should always be divisible by 4.
* The Defense stat is always divided by 2. So your defense stat should always be divisible by 2.

Any time I have to round to the nearest whole number, I will round down.

Bakuto vs Rhine

The beginning of the match was well calculated, with both sides sizing each other up. In the end, it was Bakuto that came out on top. Careful not to leave any openings for the Tai-Chi master, Bakuto was able to land multiple hits. At the same time, none of these hits were critical.

Bakuto blocks all damage and only takes three recoil damage.
Rhine takes five damage from Bakuto's attacks and two recoil damage, taking seven damage total.

Seeing that his opponent had much more to offer than anyone before, Rhine decided to take this match more seriously. He didn't charge forward, but his steps were much more direct. He couldn't win by being defensive the whole time.

- Speed 16
--- Defense 30

@BladeSS4

To avoid decimal places in my math, can you please adjust your character's stats to multiples of ten. Those 35s complicate things a little. Otherwise, that was a perfect post.

Bakuto vs Rhine

Rhine's quiet energy combined with Bakuto's sudden shift in tone made for one intense moment. The crowd could feel the intensity too, because for a brief moment the entire stadium went quiet. Then, the gong rang once more. The match had begun.

Neither combatant rushed into battle, it was more of a careful sizing up of the opponent, especially for Rhine. He stepped forward, one well placed step at a time. He knew this match would be harder than the rest, not only because the opponent was better than the others, but also the arena was bigger. It would be harder to win by ring-out. He might have to go about this differently.

On the off chance you didn't see the IC section recently. I've set up the tournament brackets, and you're next. No huge rush, just making sure you notice.

I'm just looking for your character's entrance paragraph, where he steps into the ring and we get an idea what's on his mind and such.
Like I said before, I typically will be online from 3pm till 7pm every Thursday. But today is my dad's birthday. I'll still get online tonight before bed, but I can't do those normal hours.

1st Match Begins!

Thirty minutes later, at high noon, the ceremonial gong was rang for the first time. This signaled the first two fighters to emerge from the main building and take their places in the arena. Waiting for them in the middle was a well dressed announcer with bright orange hair that shined because of all the hair products holding it up.

The first combatant to emerge from the building was the large man known as Rhine. The man won all his preliminary matches with hardly a scratch, and strangely enough, all his opponents lost without much more damage. The reason why? He won all his matches by ring out. A master of Tai-Chi with the body of a brute, and most impressive of all, he won all his matches with a smile.

The second was Bakuto...

I'm working on a tournament bracket visual, that should be ready by tomorrow evening (since I'm about to have to get ready for work, and I work the morning shift tomorrow). I'll also put up my next post, which will be introducing the fight between Bakuto and his opponent.

@BladeSS4@Darkmoon Angel@FalloutJack

Okay, I posted in the IC section to go ahead and move us forward. The first one of you to respond gets to go first.

For this round, you will all be going against fighters with max power level of 70. I will be controlling them of course, and we will be implementing the new changes.
