@Eklispe
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Personality: Gawain is on the surface, a quiet yet polite guy. He holds the door open for strangers, asks how someone's day has been, and avoids causing problems with most people. However, the scars left from his past makes him seldom to get too attached to others. His chivalrous nature is a mere shallow persona of a cold and lonely soul carrying with him the weight of a dream that was not his. Afraid of loss or betrayal, Gawain's loyalty is formed for the sake of honor and service, not by friendship or bonds.
This large lance is an unusual weapon. Unlike typical sword fighters Gawain fights with his lance in a more brutish fashion, varying between thrusts and blunt swings.

The Sigurd family was one of pride and honor. Since the formation of the world government, the Sigurd family was one of many infamous to serve the celestial dragons as knights. The service of Sigurd family was simple, and had its perks despite its bound subservience to the royal families. Loyalty was rewarded with less cruelty then mere commoners, after all. Sigurd was the only male-born of his parents. Destined to carry the family torch, his father trained him in every shape he could to be a Sigurd Knight. Ideals of Chivalry and honor, how to sport proper armor, and passing down the family's weapon of choice; how to fight with a lance without a horse. The Sigurd family was nothing special to the Celestial Dragons, after all they were just one of many families that served them, however the family did have a secret that they hid in the comfort of their home's basement. At some point, one of the Sigurd ancestors had possessed a devil fruit. Due to a taboo of the fruit being some sort of curse, it is regarded as a strange and secretive treasure. It was feared by his family that the terrible powers within the fruit could drive one mad, and if it were to be discarded, a similar fate would be cast anyway. The fruit was locked in a chest, surveyed by the generations as traditioned.
At the age of 12, nearing his 13th birthday, Gawain was being prepared to take the role of a knight. With an ideology drilled in his head, the pride was overwhelming. At that time however, it was discovered of the family's secret fruit. Punishing the family for safeguarding the powerful devil fruit, they were sentenced to execution. Discovering this, his father in desperation, made the once soon-to-be knight to eat the devil fruit and escape into the sea. A close family friend had prepared a small boat for Gawain to escape him, carrying with him his father's armor and lance.
They didn't get far.
With boat totaled by marine weaponry, it was presumed that the crew had died, either by injury or drowning. This was mostly true, except for Gawain. Miraculously staying afloat on a piece of driftwood, Gawain remained lost at sea for three days. The sea water made him ill and almost immobile due to eating the devil fruit, and death grew closer from hunger at very second. On the third day the conscienceless knight, still clad in armor, was brought to shore by a small town island. There he was recovered, and was raised by a single man named Jack.
Jack was a carefree kind-of guy. He wanted to be a pirate, but he was already middle-age and weak with little experience on the sea. He had no combat training, few money to spare for food let alone any weapon or boat, and most other folk there had no similar dream. However that Didn't stop Jack from dreaming. Every day, after fishing and farming on small plots for spare change, Jack would tell Gawain all the fantastic stories he heard out in the oceans beyond. All the wonders and perils of adventure that awaits, how much he wanted to see them.
That dream however, was never reached.
8 years after becoming a father figure to Gawain, Jack suffered a terrible illness. There was no good doctor on the island to treat him, nor was there any time to go to any island that had a doctor. For the next few weeks, Gawain sat by Jack in his death bed. Jack would continue to tell stories to Gawain, some fabricated, others legends and rumors. But all of those stories pointed to the sea, the life of a pirate. Gawain promised Jack he'd carry out that dream for him. Those were the last words they would ever share.
Gawain left the island on a small boat, with the inheritance from Jack and the saved up money from his various works of labor. Bidding the town farewell, Gawain was ready to forgo his families disgraced honor to become a pirate, in the newfound addition to Carry out Jack's dream.

Draco-Draco Fruit: A Mythical Zoan fruit of powerful potential, Gawain passively has a tough hide and a seemingly undefined resistance to intense heat and fire. He has a good sense of smell with his tongue as another side bonus to his ability, as well as a pair glowing crimson eyes that can pierce the night's darkness.
Gawain's Draco Draco Fruit allows him to transform into a dragon, however he seems only to be able to go into human-beast form, as his previous attempts to go full beast had simply lead him to fail and pass out.
The half-form stands at 15 feet in height, muscular, and keeled with blue scales. The reptilian form has iron-like skin, great brute strength, and an impervious hide to flame and heat. However while in his half-beast state he has access to some minor fire-affiliated abilities as well. The form however, has vulnerable scales under the chest, and is susceptible to ice and cold conditions.
Fire abilities:
Flame-Breathe (Self explanatory, he breathes fire.)
Fire skin (His scales can become coated brilliant flames, shrouding his figure in intense fire.)
