Moth watched the other students enter the building from their hiding place in the tree outside. They where so nervous but they knew they couldn't hide forever, they had spent enough time hiding anyway. They where still unused to their wingless new human form, so getting down proved harder than getting up and they fell they last few feet. Blushing, they Quickly dusted themself off before hurrying inside, all the while ducking their head to avoid the gaze of anyone who might have seen them fall.
@Overlord24 Flick felt their ears flatten, so much for cheering Avary up with food. "I'm hardly the only nonhuman here," Flick began, "I know how I look, but I've been nothing but civil. The one who needs to change how they act is you" they swatted their tail, this kid was to much. They grabbed the cookbook the teacher had left and flipped through it. "We're eating quail."
@Overlord24 Avary couldn't have seen Flick eat raw meat because Flick only just arrived at the school, so i'm going to ignore that bit of his comment
@Bec Still with us?????????

yeah!! i just haen't posted anything because I don't know what to say and other characters are doing stuff that wouldn't probably get Victoria to respond anyway?
@Overlord24 A boy walked over to Flick, this must be Avary. He looked grumpy, they hoped he wouldn't be overly negative. Maybe Avary would lighten up after he ate something. "So, what are you hungry for? i'm feeling quail myself, but i'm not sure how to cook them." Flick ate most of their meat raw out of convenience, but he didn't need to know that. Being a cat already made Flick stick out like a sore thumb, they didn't want to draw more attention to it.
Flick lowered their head to hide their snicker at the teacher's response to the girl's protest, she sure told her! But it was best to hide their amusement, they didn't want to get on the bad side of someone with power. They again regretted being so late, they had no idea who this Avary person that they had been paired up with. They looked around the room before realizing they didn't know what they where searching for. They would have to just try to find Avary by calling their name and hoping they heard. "Hey, Avary" they called out "i'm Flick, over here."

Wait, Puss in Boots is a guy? I always thought he was a girl!!! XD

Really? that's weird, in the storybook version I had as a kid and in Shrek Puss in boots is a guy. But I support girl Puss in boots! There aren't enough lady heroes, especially not in classics.
@Bec
I didnt mean any disrespect. I honestly hadn't thought about a cat being transgender. I have never heard the term nonbinary before. Your first explanation hadn't made it clear what he was. Your second makes it much more clear. I have RPed with characters like Flick before. I will try to remember.

That's okay, I tend to forget not every knows about nb genders but I probably should give a explanation next time a introduce a nb character to avoid confusion. (also Flick's prounons are they/them not he/him)
@Bec Well, it's a cat. :P So I don't exactly understand the logistics of that in more ways than one. I assume it was like a magical creature/android. So hopefully I don't offend any other kin that happen to be on the forum. :P (I'll keep that in mind haha.)

Flicks not just a cat, their a anthropomorphic enough to be considered a person, some people have nonbinary genders. Referring to a person as an "it" is without their permission is dehumanizing because it implies that person is a thing. Flick is a fictional cat, but you wouldn't refer to Puss in Boots as anything but a "he", please stop calling them "it". If something about this is confusing to you feel free to ask me questions.
@KatherinWinter Probably in the sense that is doesn't have any genitalia. So it's an it. Maybe it was created from magic. *shrugs* :P

Actually no! Like me, their gender is completely separate from their genitalia. Nonbinary people fall under the umbrella term of transgender. Lots of people are nonbinary, but because of of a lack of media representation plenty of people don't know about us. (also I know your not trying to be offensive, but most nonbinary people find being referred to as "it" dehumanizing, so please use they/them when referring to Flick)
