I mostly enjoy writing in the Casual section of the guild. Character development and exploring character relationships motivate me. I like to really think myself into my character and their view on others and the world around them which is why I prefer to stick to one character per roleplay. I love world-building but I am also easily overwhelmed with very detailed concepts I haven't been met with before. So you could say I love a decent amount of world-building and prefer original builds. Once everyone has settled, expanding that world and its concept is a great way to create more depth and keep me as a player hooked as I love to discover new things!

My favorite genre is and has always been fantasy. I guess you could say I love escapism to a point where I like to flee the mundane world entirely. I also feel drawn to sci-fi roleplays but I have noticed that those usually intimidate me. I feel like I am not adept at writing about technology and all that sci-fi goodness so I mostly just pine over how awesome some OOCs look and never apply to them.

When it comes to fantasy I feel right at home. For my mind, it is much easier to grasp magical concepts and worlds than sci-fi ones. As a result of this, all the worlds I write up (be it here as a GM or elsewhere) tend to be fantastical in one way or another. I especially enjoy adventure RPs and witch RPs. I like to see new magical systems and am always eager to learn more about the worlds I RP in.

Additionally, all my characters are queer, always. Since I am queer myself and can't imagine playing straight ^^

@Dr Catfish I do not think that barking and sitting on a chair during a meeting are the same. While sitting was definitely not required in his case and probably rather unusual for him, he still showed the second-in-command off in front of the whole crew and the captain and added a snarky comment that wasn't necessary. He kind of humiliated the boss in front of the whole crew. He went a little far there. He could have tried to seek a private conversation about the situation afterwards, but he chose to pull it off in front of all. And Rolands seems like someone who likes to be respected rather than joked about.

On another note: otherwise it wouldn't have been this entertaining!! It was quiet amusing to read. ;)
@ChaoticFox Amazing!! Don't lose any of those memories. Can't wait to have you back properly and see all the awesomeness Wolfe sure has to bring to the story! (Btw, German?? Man, I wanna have Jessa and Wolfe have a conversation in that language. It's my language. I am German.)

@Dr Catfish It does have to take orders though, even if it's not logical to them. And do it as best as they can. That's part of the job requirement, I would guess. It's gonna be fun to watch him and Garthar and also him and Rolands definitely. Jessa will keep her distance though xD
@ChaoticFox That sounds awesome!! I hope you are having a hella lot fun!

@Dr Catfish I definitely agree with you. But I was just saying that it was the intention of human kind that the robots and AIs would serve in their interest, with no inconvenience. So maybe Rolands still has that in mind, that they serve the humans in the humans interest? So maybe that's why he thinks Nexus' reaction was a result of poor programming? Because he thinks the robots should all do as he pleases and do not talk back but still think creatively and get hints? Maybe he doesn't see Nexus as a 'personality' and therefore doesn't take his actions as one of personality, but one of 'programming' and therefore instead of calling it a 'lack of good personality' he calls it 'bad programming'? I am totally just rambling here. I am probably 100% wrong with everything I say xD I kind of am a lot these days.
@ChaoticFox Why are you losing wifi? Are you somewhere without much wifi? Glad your wifi worked / was available for now! :)

Edit: Hey, all! I am feeling like many characters from the Character Tap haven't appeared in the IC yet. Did anyone drop out and I didn't notice? Or maybe they're just busy?? I hope the latter. Because those characters are all just soooo good. You know what I mean? This group has a ton of amazing characters somehow. And the relations already showing is pure amazing as well.
@Hawlin *cries* Stop mentioning that they died!! That's Jessa's best friend right there! Shush!

They should have some bonding moments. Luci and Jessa have to be friends. I like them as friend :)
@Hazy Mmmh for Alexai it's gonna be 10 weeks, so two and a half months. And she's not told anyone anything beside her name yet. Being a bit secretive. But sure that's not unusual in the guild?

Ramona Jessa Chalkley

Jessa kept her peace, sat on her butt silently and listened with open ears but with no facial expression that would suggest she even was listening too much to the ideas of how to approach the situation thrown into room. But she did listen. And she did understand. And she did know that the both guys were basically measuring their lengths - she considered Nexus a guy now, due to his way of measuring with Garthar. Boys. Always having the act like they are in a constant fight against each other. She knew that a couple of people on the ship considered themselves to be the best mechanic or engineer and she had gotten the feeling that both Nexus and Garthar felt like that description fit them. But they didn't know what she knew, didn't know the technical things that she had seen, that she had learned to operate with. But that was a whole other story, in the past, and she would be quiet and let the two guys fight for the spot of 'the best' of whatever. She knew she had more in her head than she showed and that was enough, she didn't need anyone else to know or to applause her.

The idea of the captain seemed risky and not well thought through and instantly the woman worried for her friend Luci and her team mate Masha. The second-in-command not so much, she felt like he could handle anything with his papers and his stick in the ass. You can't disrespect like that, Jessamae. Shut up.

"I think we need to understand our enemy if we want to approach them properly. The key to a successful mission is planning, coordination and knowledge. And of course a good team, but to no doubt we have that." She kind of shot Masha a look unintentionally, somehow she felt like this woman had guts and would never disappoint. Chris would have probably argued with her that the success of a mission is more about luck and improvising, they had their differences but they were a great team.

"Of course we could try to sneak in and out, but if their ship's technology has anywhere near the latest updates and possibilities, they will know we're there. We would have to hack their system to make sure no alarms will go off, no monitors will show our crew sneaking around where they shouldn't be. The hostages won't just be sitting around in the next corner either. We will probably have to fight. Of course hacking the system, if not done carefully and the right way, will set off an alarm straight away and we will be stuck in them firing at us, or them escaping within a heartbeat. If their system is not updated to the standard... good for us. But I wouldn't risk it without knowing for sure." The headache was making her vision blurry, but she tried to push the pain back and ignore it the best she could. "Then of course there's the question of the why. Why do they have those people and why are they still alive? Obviously they need them for something or need something from them. It would serve us well if we knew who these very important people were and what the Tichua would need them for. And I would suggest to have a very good plan for the distraction if we are gonna send them right into the stomach of the beast. They need a good story, and a better escape plan if they see through the lies."

Her headache was getting worse by the second as she spoke. Thinking about the event clearly wasn't doing her well. She closed her eyes for a moment and rubbed her temple. A picture shot up in her mind. She saw the Tichua. She saw Masha and Luci and Rolands on their ship. But she couldn't see what would happen. The future can change, but once a vision appeared to a Vasciamaerian it was almost like set in stone. She knew that. She would rather not see the future right now. She would rather just... fuck... sleep. Her head was hurting.

She opened her eyes and tried to look like she was fine, but her vision was blurred and her smile hurt her head even more. She would like to have something against the pain, but most things didn't work. After all it wasn't a normal headache.

"We need people on the rescuing team that are quick on their feet, silent, fast in adapting to situations that we might didn't think of happening, quick thinkers, precise firing skills and that work together as a team perfectly. Someone with decent medical skills should be on the team, in case the hostages are hurt when we reach them. Someone skilled with opening locked doors of any kind would surely be a huge help as well. Radio contact to the Condor as well as all team mates on the enemy's ship would be preferably at all times. Who is going to stay on the Condor and navigate us if we end up in a section of the ship? We do have a plan of their ship, right?"

For a split second Jessa wondered if the new doctor knew something about her race and if maybe she would keep her secret if she told her and then maybe just maybe she could help her with the pain she always felt, with the visions she didn't wanna see, with everything that she couldn't tell anyone. But then shook the thought of. The doctor would report her as an alien race and she would turn out to be known as the one that brought the race of The Foreseeing back to light - back to suffering. She couldn't tell her. She couldn't trust her. Why did she want to trust her so badly? Because she reminds you of her. That's enough. With one last push of her stubborn mind, she sent all thoughts about her past and her race to the back of her head, locked it into a closet that was way too full with secrets and left it there in the dark.
@Hawlin I'm not saying they shouldn't have personalities. I was just pointing out how that was the purpose of the original idea of creating beep-boops and sure some (maybe Roland? maybe not *shrugs*) might still have that kind of sense of thinking. I have a question though. Is Luci scared of 'death' (like most humans are)?
expecting them to be wholly subservient and versatile to his whim

Isn't that basically the reason why humans started creating beep-boobs?? So that they'd have something that would do work for them on command? Or am I mistaken? I thought that is why they were created in the first place. Of course by now some of them have a personality integrated or whatever, but it wasn't always like that, was it?

Correct me if I am wrong please...

REMIRA LANKFROD

Remy watched as Via flirted with Gray and her roommate had all but a snappy reply to her. She smiled. Yep she liked her roommate so far. "You can bring whoever you like, as long as they're fun!", she said to basically anyone who was listening in on them. "After classes. Bring some fun. And everybody look sexy, alright? You never know what kind of game we gonna play. Hopefully something with kissing." Remy shrugged. She knew it sounded a bit weird, but she wouldn't mind kissing or making out. While she loved having a serious relationship and falling in love, she also liked to have some not-so-serious fun sometimes (of course only when she was single!).

"Alright, time to kill the chit chatting", she said with a wave of her hand as the teacher called for them to sit and started the lesson. She looked at Via for a second, she had liked her but somehow her liking for her already drifted off, that's okay, crushes come and go. She didn't mind. She looked at Gray, she seemed intelligent, nice enough and fun to be around. Hopefully the semester would be fun with her as her roommate. She hoped so. And then her focus went to the teacher. She tried to pay attention the best she could, but geography was her kryptonite. She just couldn't focus on it, it went in and out of her mind in one go, she couldn't keep a hold of it somehow.

Her eyes focused on the pictures the teacher was showing them but she couldn't understand much of her talking. She wasn't stupid, she was quiet smart actually, just not in this very subject, this one stupid subject.
