Name: Annie Jarvis
Alias: Papernik the Paper Ninja. (Papernik works just fine thanks)
General Appearence: Costumed Appearence: As Papernik, Annie wears a simple black jumpsuit, loose around the body and legs but tight around the wrists and ankles, where it is secured with metal braces. Overtop of the jumpsuit is an absurd amount of paper, heavily concentrated atop the metal braces, which are also meant to be easy to roll paper on top of, but also present around the waist. Her lower face is covered by a paper fabric scarf that extends down the back into five tails, all of which she is capable of manipulating with her powers. A large number of blank sheets of paper are bound underneath the lines that serve as a belt, and a number of pieces are stuck to her chest, back, and stomach by static electricity.
Age: 18
Hometown: Portland, Oregon
Powers: - Paper Manipulation:
Annie is capable of manipulating paper as if holding it without touching it. She can alter the trajectory of paper planes, wrap paper around objects, cause paper to hang in the air indefinitely, and her most commonly demonstrated ability, control the movement of paper strips as if they were her own limbs.
- Paper Stiffening:
Annie can cause paper to stiffen, going from an easily folded and manipulated object to something as hard as steel. This enables her to either use the object as a blunt striking weapon, or a cutting weapon, now able to cut far more deeper than a normal paper-cut.
Skills: - Origami Expert:
By necessity, Annie has learned the ancient art of origami. It's become almost second nature to her at this point, and she is capable of making a flight-capable paper plane with one hand while the other is buried up to the elbow in a bag of Cheetoes.
- Semi-Trained Martial Artist:
Annie has some training in martial arts, enough to allow her to understand proper form when throwing a punch or kick. Taking lessons were pretty much the only exercise she got, and she recently dropped out of the courses.
Biography: Annie was born in Seattle Washington to a pair of boring and regular people in a neighborhood of boring and regular people, she later moved to Portland Oregon, in a neighborhood of also boring and regular people. Is it any surprise that Annie ended up becoming the exact opposite? Annie grew up a slacker, dropping out of high school after finishing grade eleven, and never really attempting to make much of herself. She went through several relationships, never sticking with anyone in specific. Annie seemed destined to never amount to anything.
Well, until she woke up one morning wrapped in toilet paper and with her room covered in confetti. She struggled to understand what had occurred to her, but as more and more of things such as these continued to happen, she managed to make sense of her sudden new ability. Reading about the new city of Bell Reach, where people like her would be all over the place. Maybe then she'd understand what the hell had happened. Well, she's been and she's seen the superheroics going on, and, thinking that pretty badass, she has decided to take up that role herself.
Personality: Annie is a hedonist and a delinquent, she's lazy and low-key, but can be a riot if she's in the right mood, which isn't exactly rare considering that her main goal in life is to have fun. She is definitely an enabler and isn't really one to condemn anyone for their life choices, considering her own haven't exactly been the best.
She can also be described as a bit of a horndog at times, often looking over any guy/gal she finds cute at least once, sometimes more. She can sometimes be described as going a bit overboard, but she doesn't really notice herself. As a friend she can best be described as unreliable, and doesn't put much stock in responsibility. She means well, however, and does value her friends, even if she's not the best at showing it. She isn't exactly a heroic soul, but she does think superheroes are pretty cool so she's at least trying to behave like one.
