The following day she woke up early, she put on the clothes she stole from the laundromat. She stopped by a bakery just as they were throwing out the old stuff. She grabbed as much as she could carry plus stuffed some into a bag that was in her backpack and ate on the way to school. She bit into a loaf of bread she never had before. She really liked it, she made note to find out what kind it was. On the way to school she passed by a crime scene. She recognized the apartment building as the one where Old Lady Cole lived. She always had work for Tess to do to earn a few bucks. She moved closer to see if she could find out who died. A patrolman stopped her. She attempted to get information but he wasn't forthcoming at all.

She arrived at school early. The first time since her parents death. She wanted to find the kids from the nurse's office yesterday. One of them went somewhere they shouldn't have and came out infected with probably a billion dollar retrovirus or something to turn soldiers into super soldiers. Whoever was responsible for this would definitely want to keep this quiet. She didn't recognize any of the kids from her classes but she didn't know even half of the kids in any of her classes. The first one she saw was on the football team, she didn't what remember positioned he played something back. She approached him like a predator stalking prey. "Yo football dork!" She got right on top of him. She spoke low and with malice. "What kind of freak did you turn me into?"
You know what would be funny if a janitor got sick cleaning up the throw up and ended up a villain for out little misfit group.
Hmm, it seems that the agency done some recon on the heroes they sent emblems to so I don't think that a language barrier would be an issue for a people that figured out inter-dimensional travel.

Technically they only reverse engineered it & copied* it, someone else figured out how to do it.

*Copying might be that great depends on what caused the people to appear all around the base.
@Lightning a few problems with that
What if the hero is illiterate
While they might speak what sounds like English in their land the alphabet might not be the same
What if they are blind
What if they have no written language in their land

Best solution is an agent with a universal translator like in Star Trek that way communication is feasible

@Raptra Link doesn’t mind. Link also thinks it is one weird special dream
US Court: "Detroit Students Have No Right to Access to Literacy"

Access to Literacy is not a Constitutional Right Judge in Detroit rules

Just going to drop these in here. I'm not even sure what to think about my city at this point.

What is the purpose of school then? Clearly it's not teaching according to the judge.
Interesting idea. It is a lot better than the last Fallout idea I read, i.e. suicide mission.

GM gives out lvl's and players decide on their own bonus.
Everyone starts out at the same level?

Interesting theory, though the characters who didn't treat their emblems badly were also affected. Unless it affected the entire system, also possible, hmm...

Could be the energy attack from She-Ra's Sword of Protection shorted the system out.

Link's Master Sword:
AKA the Sword of Time, Sword of Resurrection
It is magical
Ability to dispel magical barriers
The scabbard is mystically/magically linked to the sword

So Link's magical sword could have scrambled the system. I think I had her smack the emblem with her sword I would have to go back and check to be sure.

There is also the possibility Raven's magic caused it, if I remember right Raven said she was traveling through a magical portal when she was pulled to Cinix.

Maybe it was a combination of all that or any two of them.

But IMO really the ones to blame were the agents for not going in person and asking for help.
Provided the armor/uniform isn’t included.

For example you say we can model our character after Cyborg from DC but got to give up everything that makes him like Cyborg in anyway. You see how you are fundamentally saying you are picking his skin color and that's it.

Dropping.
@Mister Thirteen I am now thinking google.com/search?newwindow=1&hl=en&e… as the model to base my character around.
Are there further changes to the dynamics you're planning for the story?
You are going to have to be more specific. otherwise I am going to assume you mean something like: Diana and Abigail hooking up and Abigail using her shape shifting powers to look like Steve Trevor, Julia Roberts, Hugh Jackman, random people they see on the streets, etc etc.

Like with Abigail Brand being Deadman. That seems to just be out of nowhere, frankly.
Just like it's out of nowhere Diana goes by Captain Marvel or Wonder Woman or any super hero name.

Honestly, that seems like a really poor mentality for roleplaying. You're applying for a game with a certain set of rules, standards, and ideas. So when you submit something that goes against one or all of them, you should be willing to adjust so as to fit into the game. I understand you have a concept, but the reasoning behind it and the method goes against everything the GMs want: why would you refusing to adapt encourage them to reconsider?
I don't have to participate, if I do participate it will be with the ones I want. If they are unacceptable then I won't participate.
