A child prodigy in the making, Vitesse grew up in the heart of Kalos racing Rhyhorns in tournaments from an early age. She often wiped the floor with the competition, and held a number of records throughout the years. Victory upon victory drew the world's eyes onto Tess, who were always eager to see her next victory or broken record. Meanwhile, her parents could only see the Poké dollars in their eyes rather than their child's own success. Hiring a professional agent without any say from Tess, their greed led to every aspect of her life managed and on a schedule.

It led to a drastic change in Tess' life. No longer did she simply enjoy her hobbies, but rather found it exhausting. She had been laden with sponsorships from well-known companies such as DENSOKU or Mach Motors, turning her into a walking billboard. News and TV stations requested her appearance, desiring an interview with the reigning champion.

Tess hated all of it. She wanted them all to shut up and leave her alone.

Unfortunately, Tess rarely got what she wanted. The Pokétopia Foundation was to hold its grand opening, having finished completion of its newfound island battle resort. Like many others, she found her name on a list of invitees sought to attend the grand opening. Tess couldn't have cared any less about it, but she knew she wasn't going to have any say in attending.

As such, Tess found herself dragged off to the S.S. Avalon by her agent to enjoy a luxury trip to the island. Who knows; maybe they'll capsize and find themselves stuck on an uncharted island. Perhaps then she'd have the peace she has always wanted.

Despite her success in life, Tess has grown into a shut-in. She has a tendency to carry a blank face, and is often accused of being "off in space" and not listening or paying attention. Of course, this simply isn't true; Tess just has grown tired of being in the public eye. She hates how everyone treats her different, and all the pestering for autographs, interviews or any other attention from organizations and people. Being famous is exhaustive work, and it has sapped the love she once had for sports.

If it wasn't for the destruction and wrought it would bring, Tess would love to tell them all "no more". But like records, anything can eventually be broken—including Tess.

It is the grand opening of the Pokétopia island resort.

In order to celebrate the grand opening, a number of celebrity guests have been requested to attend. Champion trainers, famous actors, but most of all—you. Whatever path you walk in life, the Pokétopia Foundation has chartered passage to the island in your name on a luxury, state of the art yacht, the S.S. Avalon. Their only request is that your presence helps promote their new battle resort favorably within the public eye.

Taking the offer, you and a group of others set out to sea with expectations of swift arrival. Unbeknownst to everyone, however, there lies other powers hidden deep in the shadow of the sea that threaten your journey—and it is hunting for you.

Pokétopian Dreams: Uncharted Waters is a small scale, plot focused Pokémon roleplay. It takes cues from various media sources from the video games to the animated movies, in particular the first movie.

The cast are people of note in the Pokémon world who are invited to promote an island resort's grand opening. As they travel by boat to the island, however, what was once going to be a fun time is soon twisted into a battle of strength, testing their willpower as they have to fight against a presence that has sensed their prowess. If they're lucky, they might be able to escape unscathed.

For those who are looking to join this roleplay, the planned cast size will be probably around 6-8 people. Of course, there will be some giving or taking depending on what sheets are submitted. The GM (and CoGMs, if there are any) are counted in that number, so spots are limited. If you do submit a character, please be advised that you are here for the long haul; do not join this just to post once or twice and then ghost the roleplay as it will be difficult to fill spots given the scenario. There are some emergency plot ideas and/or concepts ready in place in case it does happen, but as a precaution please do not plan on ghosting.

There are no post requirements in place save for the following:

• No one-liners. Post should have substance; this isn't Free RP.
• Keep active. Please post every so often, and if you're busy, please update us beforehand.
