The world ended not with a bang, but a shuffle. A rapidly mutating strain of a flu-like virus, dubbed "Crimson Rot," or βProject Zeroβ swept across the globe, turning the infected into mindless, flesh-hungry hordes. Society crumbled in weeks. Governments fell, infrastructure collapsed, and humanity was forced into a desperate fight for survival against the relentless undead and the ruthlessness of other survivors In the ruins of Los Angeles.
Character Creation:
Name: (First and Last)
Age: (Between 18-60, unless there's a compelling reason for an exception)
Background: (2 to 4 paragraphs detailing their life before the apocalypse. What were they doing? What were their skills? What were their relationships like?)
Personality: (Describe their general temperament, strengths, weaknesses, fears, and motivations.)
Skills: (Choose 3-4 skills that are significant to your character, Be reasonable and reflect the background.)
Equipment: (List what your character is currently carrying. Be realistic. A backpack is good. A full armory usually isn't. Start with the bare minimum, perhaps a weapon, some food.)
Motivations: (What drives your character forward? Is it revenge, redemption, protecting others, or simply survival?)
Flaws: (What are your character's weaknesses? Are they reckless, fearful, addicted to something, untrusting, prone to anger?)
Misc:
Rules:
Realism: While this is fictional, try to maintain a sense of realism. Ammo is scarce. Injuries are serious. Zombies are dangerous. Decisions have consequences. Don't pull off miraculous feats without a good explanation.
Respect:
Treat other players with respect. No godmodding (controlling other people's characters) or metagaming (using out-of-character knowledge in-character).
Cooperation (Mostly): While conflict is expected (and encouraged to an extent), Don't be deliberately obstructive just to be difficult.
Choices Matter: Your actions have consequences. Killing someone might gain you supplies, but it could also make you an enemy. Neglecting an injury can lead to infection.
Zombie Rules:
Zombies are slow-moving but relentless.
Headshots are the only guaranteed kill.
Bites and scratches have a chance of causing infection (Crimson Rot).
Noise attracts zombies.
Infection: If bitten or scratched, there is 64 percent chance of infection. Symptoms typically appear within 5 to 12 hours.
Roleplay the progression of the infection if your character is infected (fever, chills, delirium, increased aggression), you could chop the infected part off but thereβs a 50 percent chance of death.
Character Death: Character death is a possibility. If your character dies, you can create a new one.
