Bio

It's me, that dood, Citrus Arms. I'm 33, I sometimes work on a book a little bit, and I play a lot of games. I like me some MechWarrior or the X-Frontier series, but I also adore some good magic-fantasy. I grew up with Final Fantasy VI's magitech world, and worlds like Chrono Trigger, Zelda, and Star Fox. Lots of Nintendo, but some other stuff, too.

I like sci-fi and fantasy and space and combinations thereof, mostly. I have a setting take takes place after a galactic apocalypse, in a galaxy of recovering empires and new interstellar nations rising from the ashes, all while machinations from the apocalypse cause a rise in magic.

Lumina Lusteria, the Lustrous
Famed Academy Infirmary

The girl was frustrated, that much was clear. And understandable. Sounded like she'd been on quite the rollercoaster. From an overwhelming fight to finding out all about these drugs all at once, through such an awful vector as a classmate. The girl was sharp, too, catching on that Lumina knew more than she was saying.

"Whoo, hey now. No need to get so aggressive, you still need your rest. I'll tell you more later. Suffice to say I also fought a drug user." There were too many ears here, even with what little knowledge she held, herself. And then, she had to figure out just how it all tied into her own investigation, too.

Something caught her ear. Someone knew the first half of what happened. She exchanged a look Seleth before turning her gaze to Mira, "you say you know what that disappearance was?"
Hope she doesn't get Chrono Trigger'd into the final boss fight.

Lumina had been about to retort by binding this guy's wrists with her crystal hilt and leading him away, off the premise. He'd forfeited his right to secrecy when he shouted for the whole Infirmary to hear, and what the not had done didn't matter currently, either. What was important now was his recovery. She intended to tell him as such, and bind his wrists, but before she could do anything, Varjan grabbed the old man and they... Disappeared. Sucked away into some... Hole in reality?

Her hilt was in one hand. It was how she planned to bind Caldeyron. With her other hand, she reached out and tried to grab at the place they disappeared into.

"..." She gazed at her palm, and then the space they'd been. She couldn't be sure what happened. "Were they moved, or..." There wasn't any use pondering about it here. She turned to the group behind her. An elf girl, Varjan's opponent in the finals of their tournament. And he used the drug, supposedly. She fought against a user of that drug, then? And here she was. Lumina placed a hand on Seleth's shoulder, carefully, "thank you for your support. Both of you. I'm Lumina. You're injured, right? You should rest, or have a seat at least."

The doctor and Mira that came in were panicked. They needed to calm down, if they wanted to assess the situation. Perhaps she should lead the questioning? Hey attention came back to Seleth. "I understand you fought him, yeah? Did that look like anything he'd done before?"
Should we count them as absent? Maybe another roll call...

And where'd my buddy @Whirligig go?
What's that business on the left, there? That non country. And, having not read a reference to magic yet, are we magicless? Or magic-lite?

Did some reading. That must be Palaven, then? Since that's the country I don't see on the map, there. Still no mention of magic, so I'm guessing it isn't present.
You wrote up quite a bit. I'll have to take some time to read it. Mind if I ask a few questions?

The man turned to her and... Continued to yell. He missed the point entirely. She waited patiently for him to come to a stop before offering her retort, in a calm, quite tone, "well, sir, if it's your private business, why don't you keep it that way? I, for your information, am the patient from next door. Summoned here by your belligerence, might I add; shouting aloud for the world to hear about your 'private business'. Through an open door this time, no less."

"Speaking of, I see I need to remind you again, sir, that we are in a place of healing, itself nestled within a place of learning. Displays of anger and violence, as well as dragging in whatever rancid energy you're carrying around, is ill advised. I suggest you dissipate your negative energies outside, away from myself and the other patients, and unless you see fit to lower your voice, I may simply have to remove you from the premise. Now, sir, you have plenty of opportunity to save face, here. Unless you want to be escorted from the building, which I am more than capable of."
Wonder what happened to everybody else? That's a steep dropoff.
"That's what they say, but that doesn't mean I won't have work to do." She looked over her shoulder as a shadow took off from the roof of the ferry. Her Staraptor, he let out a whistle as he ascended to the sky. A signal she recognized, he had eyes on something strange. An Umbreon, specifically, though she had no way of knowing that. "Hey, let's go this way." She glanced at Sean and motioned him to come along.

"The Indigo League? Ah, then you're from Kanto." Regan occasionally glanced skyward, watching the bird in the air for where he was leading her. She listened as the boy went on about his home, understanding the perspective. "No, I get it. That's a lot of pressure, starting out with the Indigo League. The trainers that grow up there really have a lot of expectations to meet. There's a certain kind of trainer that thrives under that, though. I was lucky, I got to start in a region where the League was new. We didn't even have a reigning champion by the time I got enough badges, so there wasn't any title bout on my first try."

"There's plenty of ways to live alongside pokemon, though. We didn't need the League to show us that. It all stems from understanding, I think."
Oh, uh, should I mention you, @Whirligig? I suck at that.
