Actually, if we're from the same country, does that mean we're working together?

Maybe, maybe not. Who knows~?
Narkissa Langdon

@Rune_Alchemist

Thankfully, she was able to find the tools she wanted. The frame itself also came along easily enough, only hampered by her lack of nails—it took her a little more time, but she was able to fasten a sort of mortise and tenon-like system to fit the fashioned planks all together, drawing from her knowledge of historical woodworking –it was a method common enough in houses and older wooden vessels from before the age of sail, after all—to create something workable. All she needed to do now was to meet back up with Misaki and discuss how they’d like to proceed with the rest of the project. She wondered if the Japanese woman had an success with finding a suitable pulp for the paper.

She was in the process of sanding the nearly completed instrument that she realized she as being approached, this time by a stranger. Seeing that it was probably a villager, and not one Lazhira had seemed to have mentioned or introduced her to, Narkissa was immediately on guard, despite the frail and frankly ridiculous outfit that he seemed to be wearing.

Setting down the frame against the side of Lazhira’s house, she raised an eyebrow before addressing him. “Yes? Can I help you?” He seemed harmless, but nonetheless, she positioned herself in a way to bolt or defend herself if she really needed to.

Aureia, of gold, commerce, wealth,
and the far less important, trivial aspects of travel and luck

“Less than you,” was Aureia’s simple retort to the Lord of the Underworld. Or was it lady now? Oh, well, Moridax answered that question for her. “To be fair, you are late to the party,” she decided to point out. It did raise a good question, though; if Moridax had reappeared –awoken—after Aureia and the fellow gods she had encountered in the chamber, did that mean that more gods could potentially reawaken? In the end, would the entire original pantheon reappear? It would be nice, so to speak, if the entire gang could get back together. Especially when there were friends like these Holy Imperial Bootlickers.

The last of which, by the way, was still trying to kill them, especially when Aureia grew bored of him and finally turned her attention away. “Thanks for that,” she echoed after the god of Watery Things, a bit miffed that she had made that small mistake.
She glanced back over to the awakened priestess, and the saddening sight of her dead knight. She let out a sigh. There were enough gods taking her attention for now, so she left them to it.

“Might as well go ahead and send him over to your realm,” she shrugged, returning her attention to the god of the underworld. “As things are now, can you even access the underworld?”
1600s Queen Victoria it is.
First guy has better digs, but the smile's too goofy.

Apparently, it's the 1600s, so no Queen Victoria. qq

Just to make things clear now, we are NOT having an English Commonwealth. Having a Victorianesque Charles I is not appealing either, though.

Ah, it's already giving me the whole Princess Principal vibes of London. So yeah, I can see what you mean I'm pretty sure I want this kind of UK too cause it's very close to what I was envisioning.

I think in terms of the colony situation, I'm thinking perhaps they had initial gains, and then lost them after the Futile War. However, this does give incentive to spy on the bigger players such as the New World and Orient.

I'm thinking on the Orient situation, perhaps we could draw inspiration from the opium wars and perhaps trying to subvert control through that through more low-key means.

Hmm, sure. Sounds good. Dunno on the Orient situation though, I guess that depends more on what others have in mind for the region.

@ERode Speaking of Egypt... Does history generally diverge at 1537? Or is the entire timeline altered from what we know, as in Rome never conquers Egypt, etc?
@Click This I just noticed that, how are we going about this?

As far as my vision of how the UK looks here... it's just anime steampunk Victorian Britain. Less strict gender roles, women's clothes that are cuter and less stuffy that it was historically, for sure. Y'know, think Princess Principal, like ERode mentioned. The UK's probably flexing on the Continent as usual, but probably more low-key meddling than what we saw historically since the Orient and the New World are big players now too.

Also, the Royal navy, can't forget that. Big. Powerful. Superdreadnoughts. In the sea and in the air. See my signature.

I dunno about the empire and colony situation though, since there isn't the new world to grab land from, or even Australia.

@Click This Hm, I think I should let you go first, before I go again. xD

Gotcha, I'll post tomorrow, then.
Since everybody's sharing their concepts, I suppose I will too. I'll probably be rolling with a character that combines technologism and dynamism-- a New World girl that, for one reason or another, was raised in good old Victorian England.
