Are Medusa's body hairs actually just tiny snakes?

Bio

I'm a sucker for romance, sci fi, fantasy and just about any modern city with a twist like monster hunting or super powers. Been writing for years, I didn't learn how to read till I was 12 so the moment I got the hang of it, I could not stop. Filling journals with stories one after the other, my younger sister eventually got me into role playing and it created a monster. I will play with you all day if you reply, post for post and will give you as much detail as I can.

Aright so time to add the dice rolling and see how this works. Dice only affects the outcome of jobs being whether we succeed or not, or get good loot or nothing at all, getting to the point and everything in between is up to us so long as it stays with that outcome. Only reason why I'm doing this is so we mix it up. Each member on the job earns a stat point increasing our chance for a better outcome.
Oh shit we got a 23, thats the best roll we can get. No monster detects us unless we want them to, and each person gets a rare item if they choose to forage. No one gets injured...yet.

Expecting a strong grip was one thing yet Reema found herself dragged across the table as though a Ludroth had thought her a toy, breath taken from her for only a moment she ended up giving a deep rumbled bit of laughter, tossing her head causing her mane to swish about her form. "I will indeed enjoy working with you."

Next day, guild front

Reema awake to the same smell of sea breeze, dressed in a pair of leather pants and a loose shirt she began to strap on her steel plated Armour, the cries of her blades waking her even more as she strapped them to the back of her waist, her mane tied snugly to her skull using a leather band. Strapping a few pouches to her waist she began to count everything, making sure nothing was amiss before she headed out to the morning air.
The town held layer of fog, wispy smoke obscuring one's view. If things were like this in the woods she would have to take note of when and where for future hunts. "Hey! Miss Huntress!" Looking over her shoulder, arms crossed Reema raised a brow as one of the residents came to greet her. "Ever been to Moga woods?"
Shaking her head Reema began to grow interest at the mention of her and her team mates destination. "No, me and the others were scouting for that vary reason actually."
A smile on his features he handed her a pascal bound in leather, untying the string she was surprised to find a map lay in her hands, one of detailed features and in grand condition. "Oh no, I can't take this, it must have taken you years to perfect it." Yet all he done was shake his head, "I didn't the hunter before you three did. Told us you guys might be needing it."

Disbelief in her mind she looked back to the map, this was going to save her life one day she could feel it. "Thank you, I truly don't know what else to say."

"So long as you three keep this village running with the rest of us than you don't have to say a thing."

Left alone once more Reema found excitement burning in her belly. What were they going to find? The male told her about a camp that was made just for them on longer hunts, she couldn't wait, already she was looking back at the guild, the misty air that clung to her skin not bothering her in the least due to her mountain home. All she wanted was to go, and to go now.

Chase dropped the Brhaman's lead causing the animal to halt as the older man tried to get Reese to stop what he was about to say. Each word cutting in like a knife he felt his blood run cold when he realized what the guy had just done. He mentioned how Aurora could be killed because of their relationship, how Eden's attitude could be what kills her sister.

"Son you have no idea what you just did do you." His voice a harsh whisper he looked up only to be met with a look that could have started a war, unblinking, everything she felt was there on her face yet Aurora was on her back, she wasn't going to put the red head down so she can do what she pleased, instead she turned around and kept walking, worry on the younger sister's features.

"Boy you should really be careful with what you say around that woman. Aurora had a body guard and he said something along your lines and he ended up shot and thrown out. She has no obligation to you she'll try to kill you if she thinks your making any kind of threat to Aurora and shes not right in the head because of it...."
He already knew what happened with the sisters, Aurora told him last year since he was the longest person to stick around with them. How they were kids when their family were slaughtered. "Eden still blames herself for what happened to Aurora I'm betting, don't make it worse and have her take the anger out on you, don't want to deal with two bodies when it can be avoided."

Taking the animal again he began to lead it on, already noticing how Aurora was calming her sister down. "Its not Aurora that needs Eden son, its the other way around I found out."
A room of violets and blue, opening wide in a warm glow of sun that gratefully pushed through the curtains in gentle waves. An interesting place full of instruments, art supplies, dance equipment for shoos hung from the ceiling, saddles lining the floor stacked three to four even more.
Yet on a round bed, the covers of silk sheets dressed in violet lay two heads of white. Male and female huddled together no closer than if they could be joined at the hip, the male with eyes of blue fluttered them open with curiosity, a yawn escaping him, exposing unassuming teeth for moments. Looking to his right he tapped the woman, not a word escaping him, her eyes remaining close she began to move like a animated doll from a child's terrors.
"Is something wrong Siris?" Her hands moving as she spoke in careful smooth patterns as though she were a witch casting a spell, voice of curiosity, yet small in size. Siris tilting his head he brushed his fingertips to her palms, signing across her skin she waited till he was done before speaking, reading the words in her mind.
"I'm board"
A ghost of a smile crackling at her lips she sung her legs from the bed, hand grasping a cane of ebony that stood loyally nearby she tapped it on the floor in a small rhythm. "As am I, lets go,"
Her brother close by her began to sign in her back, a link between them an them alone.
"To the land"
"To the sky"
"There shall be hell to pay"
"So lets have it arise."

yet as Iris began to use her cane to feel her way around, the tapping began to grow softer and softer, freezing in the middle of the room as though her puppeteer lost interest in her. Siris sitting on the bed, he began to look at his sister with eyes not belonging to his own. Words running through his head that he could not fully realize was something more than his own deaf insanity.
"Not bad is it?"
"Nope, though it'd be nice to smell the roses again"
"you can't smell?"
"No I can't see the colours, or the shapes, this girl is looking at a blank!"

Fear gripping at the sister she dropped her cane, holding her head only to feel her brother's embrace as they both shivered, the male mouthing words as he thought. "What are you doing? Why are you here?" Yet laughter was all that greeted them both, causing him to hug his sister tighter till it hurt yet she did not yelp or cry out. Both began to fear they begun to go insane as the voice continued on and on. "What are we doing?"
"Why are we here?"
"Wow you guys are spineless"
"Just do as we say"
"You won't even notice us that way."

Comes from a family who was friends with Iris and Siris's family, Dolsha found himself knowing the twins quiet well. Often getting the sister through fears as a child he grew up with her hanging on his sleeve and coming to think himself as a sibling of the two. Yet feeling overshadowed by their talents he in turn began to take the sword, starting with fencing he found himself quite gifted, moving onto larp and boffing only to find that every weapon that he held in his hands could become deadly even if he never held it.

His parents finding a skill set in him they wanted Dolsha to apprentice under the devil's horsemen, a team that stick to old fighting with the sword in arena's and horse back, yet when he was defending his title someone going by the name of the DeVaney was able to defeat him causing his career to shatter and his self-esteem to break after a few years of straight wins. The two listened quietly, interested in what Brick had to saw the younger sister had her head tilted in curiosity the entire time only for a smile to stretch from ear to ear in sheer excitement. She could be his apprentice? Already ideas were spinning through her head, what she could do with a new source of knowledge, she knew Brick had more experience, and she could learn more to?
"Are you kidding me? Yes that would be ama-"
"The answer is no"

Aurora took the face as one who had been shot the first time, looking at her sister in pure disbelief yet she just kept walking on her memorized path. "What do you mean?" Her voice choked slightly, yet Eden did not say a word for some time. "Its too dangerous, your not doing it, you promised you would go back home after this anyway."

"Its not dangerous! And I'm almost 20! Come on Eden just give me a chance!" Voice desperate it was like speaking to a wall as Eden simply shook her head, yet with the answer given, Aruoura turned her head, determination in her eyes as she mouthed to Brick, "I'm finding a way, yes or no."
Shes done with hiding, shes never really been apart of the wasteland, Eden in her protective bouts had ended up sheltering the red head to the point that she could say she has two handicaps. She'll find a way to convince Eden, she had to.

Chase though overhearing the two decided to step in, speaking over his shoulder, Brahman in hand. "Come on Eden, its not like Aurora would be alone, even than she can handle herself pretty damn well. Who knows, with a little teaching for that head of hers she could finish that power armour suit thats been sitting collecting dust."
Yet all Eden done was glare, one that someone would give to their kill, each eye a dagger yet she still refused to budge on her decision.
There we go!
sorry, dyslexic, I'll fix it.

She felt warm, the sun, it had to be the sun that was resting on her skin, a constant ray like the licking flames that she had grown so used to. The moment they walked through the old iron prison she felt as though her ears had popped, sound, so much sound that was unblocked for miles. "We're out, we're actually out." A low rumble beside her she extended her hand till she felt a side of scales, blood pulsing beneath, the side began to move forward, a staff in her left hand she tapped it on the ground that gave way ever move, rocks, rocks were beneath her, she could hear them tumble down what seemed to be a gorge. Falling down the decline like the bodies her companion had thrown out of her way in their escape
Slow footsteps passing by she tried to take in as much as she could, the air growing colder began to tell her the time, worry scratching the back of her mind she patted the shoulder of her companion. "We need to move faster, can I come up?" She didn't hear any growl in protest, the beast stopping his stride, ground no longer shaking from his steps she felt around open air till she found his spines, slick ebony that her entire hand wrapped around, lifting herself with ease. Legs positioned right behind his shoulders she felt as tall as a sky scraper, open air about her she leaned close to his neck.
"Lets go"

| NOTES: |
Growing up in a cult that worshipped the deathclaw she was originally planned as a sacrifice. Throwing Xafina in a pit to her current companion only for them to find out that he refused to eat her. Being the crazed fools that they were they instead worshipped her alongside the scales beasts, calling her the tamer. Yet she grew desperate, in need of escape of the dire prison she let the deathclaw loose, tearing through the halls on their way to freedom. They now wander the city streets and are seen as a ghost of some kind due to the abnormality of the pair.
