The vampire strolled casually through the school ground, appearing absolutely and completely calm, in stark contrast to the fear and solemn expressions of the students, and some of the teachers and staffs, especially the new ones. The death was perhaps the most significant event that ever happened in Yurius's career here ever since he abandoned his exile and decided to take up tutoring as a job, but comparing to the long years of life he had lived through, this wasn't any different from a daily meal. There was no reason to panic. Sure, the death was tragic, but it did little to concern the safety of the school. Or at least in his mind. This vampire was no common fool. He was once the terror that struck fear into the heart of the people wherever he went. So much so that the Head Magister had to send her underlings to put him down. He was not afraid.

He arrived at the assembly, near the last, as he was doing things so casually while everybody else just hurried there. He stood right next to the door, watching it, along with Reiko's information exposure to the public (or in this case the school staff and students). The death he already knew, and then the curfew, the escorts requirements and some other information. Almost immediately after her announcement, some of the students who were in his class, flocked to him. Sure, some of them were independent individuals, but they knew better than to break a direct order from the Vice Principal. He had taught them well. But apparently some here didn't receive such tutelage. A brown haired boy, seemingly discontent, voiced out his opinion, in a pretty rude manner according to the usually polite vampire. Yurius's brows were raised, but he wasn't too surprised. Youth...always youth...

Another student popped up confronting the rebellious student as Yurius made his way there, telling his students to wait for him. He was the exact opposite of him. After pushing through the last student standing in the way watching the confrontation, the old vampire did not hesitate, nor feel any sort of hesitation to walk forward, facing the two students.

"He's right..." Yurius addressed the other boy who was defending the staffs. "If you want to go out there so badly, you can. But you will be alone." He said, his hands still in his pockets as he walked towards the two of them. "And then you will return with the price of your limbs, or a dead man." Judgingly, yet politely, he looked at the brown-haired boy. "Young man. You do understand that we may be dealing with a professional murderer here. What if someone like you decides to go along with your reckless actions and then gets killed? What do you think? Will you take responsibility for his or her death?" He left one last remark before turning away. "Just deal with it."

Whilst leaving, he noticed a timid white haired boy watching the whole confrontation nervously. The vampire was walking towards him. The disparity between Yurius and the kid's body size, and the aged looks of the vampire, would easily confirm his identity to the boy as a teacher. Upon nearing him, Yurius just said once. "Looks like you're gonna need an escort. Follow me if you wish."

The old vampire was standing as firm as a rock as he continued to monitor the gate. A murder? Who would have dared? He had seen occasional pranks and so on, but this was too serious to be a prank. Those who dared to challenge the tranquility of this realm. Yurius slammed his two fists together, as his eyes glowed bright blood red, not in anger or fury, but in interests and slight excitement. The thought of vanquishing those individuals brought thrill to him. But before that...

Yurius brought his hands back into his pockets.

"An emergency meeting huh?"

Reasonable, but simply boring. Considering it may barely just be informing the student body about the situation, or maybe altering it to avoid chaos. In meetings, the thing that Yurius desired was the very end, when the orders would be delivered. When all the actions would ensue. Or at least put into it.

He had fifteen minutes to head there. Way enough time for him to casually pace down the courtyard, his hand still in his pocket. Let's see what our staff had in mind now....

He’s gone…

He shouldn’t be far away. He must have been hiding behind one of the trees.

But the problem was that Acion’s position was widely exposed. He was seen. If Roy could see him, while he could not see him back, he could easily stage an ambush against him. Not that he had anybody else to gang up on him, but he could surprisingly attack from somewhere. Anywhere

”Hey wait…”

What if he just let him do so? Deliberately so.

That was a good idea. He would even bait him into doing it as well.

Acion took off from the tree, as he zoomed down the trail where team C just headed. Passing the feather mark area a bit before making a loop downward facing the opposite direction. Now he was flying at ground level, only a few meters above the ground, heading straight for the point. He deduced that Roy couldn’t possibly headed back to his spawn point while his team was heading forward. He would want to catch up with them, so why that. So he must be somewhere along those trees that Acion was passing. And most likely he would attempt a hit on the winged man here.

’Just try it…’ Acion thought to himself.

It was Roy's turn to be on the assault, the boy claw soon grew incredibly large. He sunk his construct into the tree and began climbing up onto a large sturdy branch. “Alright Acion let's see what you'll do?” the boy’s construct changes from claws into a saw. He began cutting off the top of the tree to give away his position purposefully. The boy was confident he could repel any feather attack of Acions. Once the top of the tree fell Roy pushed up his helmet visor revealing his face.

“Hey bud” the boy said waving an arm, “didn't expect you to attack us so early!”

While on the flight, Acion could notice a tree top falling. He did flinch a bit, doing a spiral as it nearly fell on him. Then he flew up and hovered only meters above the tree top height, as his friend spoke.

”I saw you and your friends hanging out in the open.” Acion replied to the greeting. ”With three ladies. You have good taste. So I think I would give them a little introduction, but didn’t expect them to leave so urgently.”

Acion then glanced at Roy’s costume. A pretty scifi looking cloak, befitting of his power. Looks pretty good.

”So it’s just you and me…” He said as he began taking stances. ”Watch yourself, brother!”

And he flew up.

For starter, he simply flew up to a certain height, not as high as before though, then come diving down again. Again, the diving procedures and feather hailstorm.

Roy chuckled displays his acknowledgment of the boys attractive company.

“Yeah looks like I got lucky with some attractive, imagine if I was like Jett… but I'm sorry to say I can't lose to you here. They have a lot of faith in me so I can't let them down.” Roy flipped his visor back on,

“But if you want me to put in a good word, you know where to find me” the boy said as he jumped down from the tree. The battle had begun, Roy didn't want to take his eye off of Acion. Once the boy sent his onslaught of feathers Roy pulled out his shield held his position. As the feathers made contact with his shield they seemed to have gotten lodged in the construct and the surrounding area. The sound of splitting wood filled the forest. The boy smirked as he took the attack well. Acions attack made Roys rebuttal a whole lot easier to perform. Roy moved the shield from his face to survey the destruction. All around him was covered in feathers.

“Now it's my turn” Roy took made a fist with his free hand as he condensed the solar energy in his hand. With his right he picked up riot shield and slammed it into the rocky forest floor sending cracks traveling through the construct. With his free hand he sent a concussive blast at the broken shield sending construct shards and feathers back at his attacker as a widespread attack. It was merely a copy of Acions attack yet with a touch of the sunny boy’s magic.

Acion looked away for a moment as he climbed back up. He managed to reach to the previous height, and was doing a turn as he noticed Roy’s counter attack: a spread of broken golden pieces in different shapes and sizes coming at him. However, it was noticeably slower than his own feather attack.

It was fairly similar to how Acion’s attack. And he knew the nature of such move. Dodging would be difficult since there were so many, and each projectiles were small. Similarly to how Roy just countered his attack, he quickly exerted his muscle groups to turn his body facing Roy’s projectile, in mid-air. There, his six wings immediately pulled over to block all the projectiles that may hit him. They were sharp just like his feathers, some of which was his own medicine as well, but since it was blasted at a lower velocity, it simply didn’t have the strength that it supposedly did to the trees and ground like how Acion’s feathers did. All of them slammed into his wings and then fell off. None managed to lodge into his wings. But it was pretty powerful. His wings were still tingling after the attack.

His initial momentum propel him in an arch. At the latter end of the arch, the gravity was gradually pulling him down to the ground. But before it managed to do it, he rotated his body again, his wings spread proud and might again. The air flow elegantly stopped his fall just a meter above a tree. And his wings flapped powerfully, accelerating him towards Roy, creating one beautifully drawn flight trajectory.

”Nice one friend. But how will you deal with this?”

Acion was flying horizontally above the ground, fast enough so that when he stops using his wings, he can still maintain the horizontal path for a few seconds. Then, he did another feather rain, but this time not from above, but right ahead of him. One flap, from his left wing, one from his right, creating a wave of feathers coming at him. Just seconds after launching his feathers, when gravity was pulling him downward, he slammed his right leg onto the ground, as propulsion, jumping him into the air, above Roy. There, he would repeat the procedure and send feathers down his way.

Now it felt as if his friend was playing around, like this was a test to see the boys capabilities, Acion sent another flurry of feathers from two directions. Roys eyes quickly shifted direction to direction, he slid his legs arms length apart and squated hold his arms out and cuffing his heads. Straining his muscles the boy created a 360 degree barrier around himself, it was hard to tell if this was the same kid from yesterday. His costume allowed for him to perform at a much higher level, as the feathers lodged into the boys barrier it sounded like a hammer hitting steel. All around the boy’s barrier there was not a place the feathers didn’t hit.

“Come on Acion, fight me for real” the boy said releasing the barrier, he was breathing heavily a bit after that showing but he wasn’t done yet. Roy got on all fours sliding his left foot back before gathering energy under all his limbs. He pushed off the ground with a concussive blast kicking up dirt and rocks as he flew through the branches reaching the forest roof. The boy stopped on a branch high up before taking another energized leap shooting himself above the forest with a clear view at the avian man.

The boy held out of fingertips and fired a barrage of pea sized energy shots, it was almost like Roy was shooting a machine gun with how many blasts he got out. Let the battle fever come to you, relax.

Acion was flying up when he noticed a barrage of energy fire coming from below. He immediately spun around his longitudinal axis a few times to dodge the incoming fire. It worked at first, initially, but the bullets soon catch up with his position. And finally.

”Urgh!”

He was hit.

It wasn’t something serious though. One or maybe two of those energy bolts crashed onto Acion’s middle left wings. This time, the power of the bolts were way more powerful than the previous attack, as it nearly pierced to the other side of his wings. The pain suddenly received rushed up to the winged man’s mind, but he didn’t mind such things. This was nothing.

He stopped flying and hovered nearby.

”So you want me to unleash my true power, eh?”

The avian fighter began rolling up his left glove to only below his wrist. And then finally he ripped off one feathers, holding it firmly in that left hand, in reverse grip.

Then he charged. Close quarter combat time.

He bolted into him, the sharp feather in hand, slicing whatever is in the path of such blades. After clashing away from him, he made a quick and sharp turn backward, zooming at Roy again.

And again.

And again.

A few times like that before he stopped the attack, slowed down and rolled up the other glove, as he looked at Roy, issuing a challenge.

Acion took advantage of Roys positioning in the air knowing that he was unable to dodge,

“Damn” he said as Acion began his flurry in close combat with his feather, the boy hadn’t seen this coming. He didn’t think his foe would come into close combat. As gravity took its toll, Roy came crashing down into the forest breaking a thick piece of tree branch as he fell to the forest floor, grunting as he made impact with the large chunk of wood all while Acion continued his flurry. Instinctively the boy tried to halt his fall by digging his claws into the tree he fell next too. Having to make a decision whether to hit the ground hard or take his foes strikes he made his choice quickly. The boy clung to the wood sinking his claws into it, as the feather ripped into his costume most notably the hood and his forearms.

There was a large slash traveling from his wrist up to his shoulder oozing with the crimson liquid. The boy was to pumped on adrenaline to realize all the damage he sustained. Letting go and making contact with the ground once more Roy kneeled a bit to collect his nerves. He looking up at Acion as he hovered in front of him awaiting his next move.

“Alright then” he said as he placed his palms on the ground, the lights on his costume burned a bright yellow as the boy fired off two blasts into dirt kicking up a storm of dirt, branches, and rocks. He planned on obstructing the boys view and taking advantage of his foes lack of headgear.Sliding his feet back once again in the same stance, Roy was beginning to perform Kenichi’s Jet hunting attack. As the balls of his feet left the ground he shot off a burst of energy from his heels, he may not have been able to move in a blur like Kenichi but it was quick enough to notice a significant increase in the boys speed. Cocking his fist back Roy planned on a empowered strike to the core followed up by a point blank blast of energy. He had a grin on his face as he performed his attack, showing his enjoyment of the battle between his friend. There was no ill will or any deep seated feelings behind this fight.

Just two kids chasing their dreams

”Oh dear…”

Acion hastily set up shields using his wings, as Roy slammed into him, the force in motion being transferred to Acion as fresh as it was: incredibly powerful. It was so powerful that he sent the flying man literally flying. He had to spread his wings wide, perpendicular to the direction he was going to stop.

For some reasons, his stomach hurt.

How? He was hit in the wings.

The real truth was that he was hit in the wings, but the momentum was so powerful that it transferred to his entire torso as well.

Despite knowing that he should not underestimate people, Acion was quite surprised at his friend’s capability, comparing to his performance yesterday. But still, this was a hero course after all. A place full of beautiful tales of people chasing their ambitions. And this was nothing more than a friendly clash of life path that served to bolster it.

Despite the pain, a smirk appeared on Acion’s face.

And he charged down once again. Like how many times he did before.

He delivered yet another hailstorm. But instead of pulling up, he immediately went for it, his legs straight for a flying kick diagonally down his way.

The boy slammed into his wings with a lot more force than expecting knocking the winged foe briefly off balance. Roy cocked both his arms back straining his body and pushing his limits, the lights on his costume began blaring brightly. Soon an aura of golden energy began leaking from the boys body.

“I’m doing this out of respect!” he said as he pushed both hids hands out, the aura from his body began moving in the direction of his hands before a dense ball of energy came into view. It looked as if he was pulling another flashbang but this attack was different, the color of the ball was an bright orange color. There was a significant amount on energy put into this attack meaning this was most likely going to be the boys last. He kept an eye on Acions movements as he flew into the sky and returned with another bombardment of feathers but this time Acion had gone past the point of return. Roy’s high energy attack began kicking up dirt and rocks as he collected his energy. The boy was confident in his victory once he came close into view. He discharged his attack on his foe, the recoil sending him sinking into the earth and off balance slightly.

Roy wasn’t counting on a direct hit, he was banking on the after effect of the blast. After traveling some feet it would expand covering a 10 yard radius of destructive energy. Roy immediately took a kneel clenching his chest, his heart rate sight picked up greatly as well as is breathing

Oh shit!

’Disengage! Disengage!’ He told himself.

But it was already late.

Although he managed to dish out his feather bombardment, his flying kick was immediately countered by a huge ball of energy. Orange in color, this looked nothing like the previous attacks.

His kick smashed into the ball, the red hot energy quickly spread through the boot he was wearing, and into his feet. He could feel the blood in his leg boiling. But his momentum was not enough to reverse such power, as he was pushed back, and the ball sent him into the air again.

He could feel the heat, the potential energy inside the ball. And he was sure if he stayed still any, ANY, longer, he would get obliterated by it.

”There’s no way I’m gonna get knocked out here. Ha!”

Everything seemed to be going in slow motion to him.

His other feet also slammed onto the red hot energy ball, as he did a jump away from the energy orb, just mere seconds away before the ball explode into a huge radius of destructive energy. The jump was powerful, but the blast was slightly faster than him, as it was capable of catching up with him. His right wing’s end was being blasted away. He could feel it. The moment his muscles, his feathers and part of his skeletal figure of his wings being dislocated, or in this case obliterated, from their position forcefully.

He was literally holding his breath during the whole ordeal.

But thankfully, the explosion ended after it blasted away half his right wings. The shockwave continued sending him into the air, but at least that was the only damage he sustained.

Acion span his body so that he was in his usual flying position again. But this time, it didn’t feel right. Half his wings were already gone. His entire structure was disbalanced. Flying was a lot lot more difficult now. However, this wasn’t impossible. Knowing that he wouldn’t be able to sustain flight long, he glided instead. His body exerting its muscles to keep his body stable in the air, despite the loss of his wings. He was slow and vulnerable, yes. But still, he avoided the fate of crashing face down to the ground. He could just hope that nobody would be there to finish him off.

Thankfully, he did not suffer that fate. He glided out of the forest and onto the ground to the nearby east. There, he made a touchdown. Not so gracefully, but safely.

”Now that was dangerous.”

He could risk getting knocked out right here.

But due to his skills, or maybe some luck, he managed not to. His objective was completed. Team C was pretty disorganized at the moment, and he was pretty sure that Roy took some damage to himself during the fight as well.

The winged man then concentrated. His adrenaline rushed high, as the composite in his wings began to re-materialize. It was hard to explain how this happened, but this was one special trait to his capability. His eyes furrowed as he pushed on. And then the wings suddenly grew back. The feathers back just as new.

But that costed him some strength. Sweats broke out from his temples and forehead.

”I guess I will leave you to someone else then.”

He is one good fighter. Managing to catch Acion off-guard is not an easy task.

”See you later friend.”

He mumbled, despite knowing that his friend wouldn’t be there to hear it.

And then, with his new wings, he soared through the sky once again. Team C should be there at the moment now. He should report that to his teammates, wherever they are at the moment.

”Guys?” He clicked his comm link. ”Most of team C are at the point right now. Where are you now?”

Roy was not getting out of this scab free, the feathers that Acion launched prior had found their way into the boys right shoulder. Taking a few shaky steps, the young hero posted himself up against a tree in order to stop from keeling over. He was breathing even heavier as the pain from the feathers began racing through his body.

“Damn, if someone was to come right now I don’t know exactly what would happen” he looked up as the huge explosion hit Acion and illuminated the forest as the large explosion roared across the battlefield. Pressing the button on the communications come with his operational arm Roy signaled over to his teammates.

“Guys I am fine, a little banged up but I will be good to go just need to recharge my reserves” he said as he slid down the tree and took a seat on the forest ground. Roy took off his helmet putting it to the side and taking a deep breath of air. The boy was drenched in sweat and his hair was messy and clumped together. Acion was surely a fitting rival, the only possible reason he came out on top was that the setting played in is favor. He looked up to the sky continuing to take in deep breaths. The breeze hit face nicely in his position as well as the sun. Slowly but surely he was feeling a bit revitalized as he absorbed the sunlight and restored his energy reserves. That final attack on Acion took half of his energy reserves to perform. Currently he was working with 15% capacity, just enough to possibly escape a foe if he plays his cards right.

Over the river and through the woods JoJo sprinted as fast as she could in all honesty she would have gotten there much sooner if the fight between Acion and Roy hadn’t moved itself, but thanks to her goggles she could actively tell the path they took in their fight. Following the pseudo trail of destruction, she could tell she was getting closer so in order to speed up to extract him or help take down the winged one Joann began catapulting herself from one tree to another only kicking it into overdrive when she heard the explosions roar throughout the forest.

“Oh bother” JoJo thought to herself, if Acion was still fighting, they were going to have a lot of attention meaning she had better get a move on. Thankfully, she found the epicenter of the explosion and soon after hearing Roy’s transmission from that it wasn’t long at all until she found him physically leaning against a tree looking banged up. The girl didn’t give him the chance to finish his sentence or even warn him that he was about to receive the roughest transportation of his life she just grabbed him but the collar and bucked off to the point.

Storm Bird

The moment has arrived.

Once the cheers had been done, Acion moved to his starting position and waited patiently for the signal to go. As Akihito's speaking, he silently gave his teammates a thumb up, without looking back at them, as they were preparing to go underground.

"...you may now begin!"

The time he finished it, Acion immediately flew. His elegant white wings began to spread, proud and might. And as always, his wings movements appeared so natural that it lifted his entire body up without strain. Up, up and up, he soared.

The weather was clear, the wind was in his favor, so the six-winged fighter was able to go high in a short time. In just a few moments, he was already a few hundred meters above the ground. He kept on increasing his altitude, before he delivered his payload: a set of three spy cameras. As much as he wanted to position it in the right spot, he was risking running into people, so he instead threw them. He had traveled quite a distance, as he now neared the debated point. Then, he did a 180 degree turn, as he threw the spy cameras. They were equipped with a gyro sensor and a magnetic mechanic that allowed it to stick to something without actually having the lens being blocked. The place that he placed the camera, even Acion don't know.

After doing so, he flew up again, It took him a whole minute to reach the position. At that point, he stopped, and hovered, checking the cameras and so on. It was working perfectly, but he couldn't know where exactly it positioned. One appeared to have landed on a building's exterior, while one appeared to be stuck on a tree. But after a while, there were no movements visible on any. Therefore, he began using his binocular to watch the battleground from above, using in combination with the three cameras. It created a pretty wide vision of the battlefield.

"Hmmm...."

He noticed something.

"What do we have here?"

To the north of the battlefield, there was a group of people on the move. Four shadows. Remembering vividly the composition that the teacher gave him before the match, he knew that was team C.

He was mildly surprised. He knew that team C would be a tempting target, but instincts told him that things would never go his way. But it appeared that he was proven wrong. Logically speaking, he would still have a chance to intercept them. And this was that that he was looking for.

"Who was in C anyway?"

He remembered Roy was in it. Along with it, there were only...two more: Hitomi and Joann. That was weird. Were they one man down? No, there were four. He saw it pretty clearly. Did somebody unexpectedly join? Hitomi and Joann he did encounter once before, but they were merely talks and stuff. Hitomi patched him up yesterday, while Joann was the one in the gym incident. He did not know their quirks and so on. And that one guy...

They appeared to be heading straight for the point, which was going directly into the team's plan. But currently, there were no other teams that he could detect at the moment. So plausibly he could blitz them, and maybe cause some first-hand damage to them.

"That seems like a good deed."

Suddenly, Donny called him via the com links

"Donny? Yeah, I have detected team C. Engaging now."

Once said, he retracted all the holographic projection of the cameras, and began free falling. Meanwhile, he was keeping his binocular on, to continuously keep track of his targets. After a minute, he began taking his stances and initiated diving procedures. Their guards were down. Let fate let him exploit that to the maximum...

I assume that the main entrance is facing the other way from the forest. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Main Entrance

While the main commotions were at the back of the school, the front entrance wasn't free from chaos.

"Get back in here. Immediately!"

Yurius pointed at a student, who was trying to sneak out of the gate using a some kind of invisible spell. That did not go through the vampire's eyes of course. His eyes maybe fooling him now, but his combat instinct was as powerful as ever. No one would go out of his sight that easily.

The guy, busted from his disguise, quickly retreated back into the courtyard.

It wasn't entirely out of order though, as it was simply most students being curious of what was going on. They were all in their youthful years, with their rebellious attitudes and so on.

Soon, both the vice principal and the Head Magister had to deliver their orders to the students to calm them down. A little bit it seemed.

But still, what the hell is going on?

Yurius was far from the scene, as he remembered clearly that the scream came from the back of the school. He was not sure where though, as it could happen inside or outside. While it wasn't much related to his current task right now, the curiosity within the vampire resurfaced. What dark creatures could be threatening the academy now? Or maybe assassins from some agendas?

Whatever it is...

Donny rubbed the back of his head as Acion complimented him on his look. Admittedly Donny choose fairly cheap materials and this basic design (It looked less scary and more lazy) simply because it did what it needed to: cover his body. ”T-T-Thanks. You too. You l-look like a p-p-paladin or something!” Donny wondered if Acion used his own feathers to make his hero costume. From what he saw from the video yesterday, Acion’s feathers were pretty strong, yet lightweight enough to not weigh him down. That was some pretty excellent material, Donny considered taking a few himself if he finds them.

When asked about the other two, Donny shrugged. he was only vaguely familiar with Haruka and never met Luelle before. All he really knew was that they were both in his cooking and quirk application class, and he vaguely remembers that Haruka’s quick might be tech related. Soon before he could say anything, they arrived. Donny was shy but nodded his head to them. ”H-H-Hello! I-I’m Donny. I’ll b-b-b-be in your care.”

Luelle looked his way and smiled. She waved at him. She recognized him easily from the two classes she took with him. Cooking and Quirk applications. She never really tried talking to Donny, even though she wanted to.

“Hello Donny. I am Luelle Hailey. It’s nice to finally talk to you. I don’t know if you know of me. I’m n two of your classes”

”Greetings.” The winged fighter saluted his two teammates, as they both came. He did remember the girl who just waved at Donny, vaguely from the Quirk Application class the day before, but he couldn’t remember exactly the name, only until she finally spoke. The other one he also remembered seeing her somewhere, but only at that.

Acion glanced at both of them. They didn’t look too special, nor did they look unimpressive. They looked ok. Now he wondered how everybody’s quirks would give them an advantage in this fight.

”So have you guys thought up of a plan?”

Haruka prepared herself for the upcoming team exercise. It would be interesting, she imagined, but she had her reservations about it all. At least someone she already sort of knew, Donny, was to be one of her partners. Maybe that could help make things easier. In preparation, she changed into the first part of her costume before going to the armory. It was a snug, full-body suit that left only her head from about the jaw up exposed, black in overall coloration. Circuitry patterns, both functional and somewhat decorative, ran along the torso and limbs, mapping out a simplified depiction of her nervous system. Along the shoulders, wrists, thighs, ankles, collarbone, and spine, metallic plugs were attached, clearly meant to attach to something else.

Her main costume, luckily, had been shipped to the armory for her by the school staff. It wouldn’t do her well to be left without it, as her technology-manipulating Quirk was less suited for direct confrontation on its own. The powered exoskeleton she built, however, was more than enough to let her hold her own in an actual fight. Of course, while that was her main piece of equipment, it wasn’t the only thing she took. Some devices caught her interest, such as a radar, communicator, some stun grenades, and something that had especially caught her interest: a grappling hook. It was a pretty generic “superhero utility gear” device, but she thought it might be fun to try out.

Though she would have preferred disassembling the pieces and learning how to build her own from them, there wasn’t quite enough time for that, she imagined. Maybe afterwards, she’d ask for a little one-on-one time with the gear she picked out. Until then, integration would be satisfactory. With her chosen devices in hand, she approached her powered armor, statuesque in its size and unmoving stature. Once she was close enough, she turned on her Quirk. Lights on the armor’s exterior shone blue, and both the plugs and circuits on the bodysuit she had on glowed as well. The armor began to shift, the helmet separating into pieces that slid into one another, the chest raising entirely above the head, and the limbs separating open to allow her to enter.

”Okay, here goes,” She said to herself, taking a deep breath. Suiting up was always enthralling, but took a moment to get used to. The suit was larger than her, and had longer limbs. Though the armor had fully mechanical hands, her actual ones were just behind the suit’s visible wrist. Likewise, her feet were somewhere mid-shin, though the torso was built to mask the fact in its proportionate construction. Once inside, she closed the suit down around herself, then connected the devices she picked. The hook and radar seemed to be absorbed by the suit as it opened, pulled them inside, and sealed again, leaving no trace of the additions, while the grenades were simply held at her waist above her rear.

Now entirely enclosed, Haruka felt the plugs of her undersuit attach to the armor, and began to move. A few steps forward, a roll of the neck and shoulders, and some wiggling of her fingers to test the suit’s motion-mimicking confirmed everything was working well. Excitement filled her, and she took a dramatic posture, thrusting an arm up and sideways while the other pulled back towards her waist. “Henshin!” She called out, her voice altered mechanically. It was deeper, distinctly robotic, and even held a more confident inflection.

Now prepared, she left the armory to join up with her team. Upon reaching them, she put a hand on her hip and raised the other one, keeping her fingers straight in what could have been interpreted as a form of salute. ”Hypermeka reporting for duty!” She proclaimed. ”Haruka, that is.”

Donny looked to everyone and nodded his head. ”Y-Yeah, I remember you, L-L-Luelle-Chan. I-I-I hope we work well t-together.” Donny didn’t know the specifics of Luelle’s powers, but from the way she was dressed he wondered if maybe she was a wizard or something. Perhaps her quick can replicate spells? He wasn’t sure. Acion wanted to know if they had any plans and Donny had…. stratagem. Wasn’t really a plan so much as what he was going to be doing for most of the battle, but he may as well make sure his allies know what’s going to happen. Then Haruka arrives. If he had eyes he’d widen them; she went from somewhat curvy girl to decked out power armor!

”Whoa… That’s so cool Haruka!”

Donny wasn’t a techhead of any sort, but he liked robots and sci-fi stuff. Haruka looked like the sort of mechanical hero he always wanted to be. He was almost tempted to ask her to make him a suit of power armor right then and there, but he held himself back. Now wasn’t the time to be gushing and besides, asking Haruka to make him something as complex as a robotic super suit was a bit… Much. Clearing his throat he looked to the others.

”Well m-my plan is to um… Dig to the point and make some t-t-trap holes. Acion is t-t-the only one who can f-fly, so he should do w-w-what he does best, attack from the s-skies. Um…” Donny tried to think of something for Haruka and Luelle to do. He had a few ideas and decided to pitch them, trying to stutter a little less. ”Um… Why don’t…. Luelle go with Acion… And Haruka with me? Haruka can… Helped drag people underground… Luelle attacks with Acion. Um… Luelle, what is your quirk?”

”Hmm, a solid plan, I think, since it seems to me that we lack power.”

Well, the winged boy did wonder if Haruka’s impressive robot suit could brawl against other students, but considering this was not a two teams fight, but a rather free for all team based, bearing the brunt would not be a wise choice.

”I shall be your eyes and ears. I got these little spying camera to do the extra work.”

Acion simply extracted his hand, showing a bunch of small and round camera.

”But I think we should hear all our quirks before compiling a battle tactic. If you two haven’t heed my power, my wings have the durability of God’s armor, and feathers sharp as any blades. I can handle the sky well. How about you, Luelle?”

During the planning process, Luelle stayed mostly quiet. She fingered her costume which was almost like that of a sorceress. It consisted of a bright blue collared top. It had separate sleeves that went just above her elbows that were a navy blue color. She had a teal like color slash around her waist. She had a shorter skirt that matched her sleeves with a longer skirt underneath that went to the group that matched her top in color.

This was her first time participating in battles like this;so she had no idea what to say or do in this. She perked up when she heard the question thrown her way and she scratched her cheek.

“Well my quirk is a bit of an odd one. A lot really don’t have a name for it. It’s fire but it’s not like regular fire.” She summoned a small flame in her hand, making her right eye light up the same color. The person nearest to her would notice that the fire had the feeling of ice, even though the color of the flame was blue, the hottest flame according to science.

“I call it cold fire. I learned that I could control The temperature of it. I can make it very hot or so cold that upon impact, it could turn into ice.”

Donny looked to Luelle and shivered when she produced her cold flame. He was very sensative to extreme cold or heat, which meant a weakness towards fire or ice. He burns and freezes easily, and thus he was glad that Luelle was on his side. She practically had his weakness as a quirk. ”That’s cool. Literally. My q-q-quick is uh… Well I can eat anything. Metal, dirt, poison, h-h-heck I can even eat stuff that’s on f-f-f-fire if I’m fast enough. I um… I can eat super fast t-t-too. S-S-S-S-So I use to tunnel. By eating… Dirt.” Donny knew that his powers, while having been proven useful, sounded rather lame. Of course he was hiding the true nature of his power, as well as the sort of things he’s actually used his powers for in terms of combat. When he fought the robots in the entrance exam, he had no problems defeating them simply by swallowing them whole. The hard part was finding a robot that wasn’t being attacked by other students at the time.

He still didn’t feel comfortable revealing his true form even if two people already know. Part of him was nervous about who might judge him even though so far no one seemed to mind, though another part of him was intentionally hiding his true ability to his advantage. As far as he could tell, only Mina knew the full extent of his power, thought Ezra is at least aware of what he really looks like and may have already made some conclusions himself. Donny was also aware that both Mina and Ezra were on the same team. He didn’t really want to think about it, but if he wanted to make sure that the others wouldn’t be able to capitalize on his quirks and abilities, he’d have to take them out first.

In fact the more he thought about it, the more he wondered who they should try to go after. Team A and Team B felt like one of the stronger teams. Team A had Ezra, Mina, Jett, and Tomoe. Ezra had already demonstrated his strength yesterday when he sent that table at railgun speeds, nearly killing a few students from the sheer force of the attack. Jett was also a teleporter who was easily able to spam the ability for hyper mobility. Mina also was a skilled martial artist and her quirk could be used to blind or burn, as Donny learned when he faced her. Tomoe was the only one he didn’t have much info on, but she could be a dark horse.

Team B certainly weren’t slouches either. They had Mamoru, who everyone saw what she did yesterday. She was reckless, but also cunning in a dangerous way. Almost like Donny. Dulga also wasn’t someone Donny was going to dismiss; those six arms probably increased her strength, and from where Donny was at he could obviously see she was packing a lot of heat. She’d be dangerous simply because she’s the most heavily armed out of everyone. Yukari and Kaida, Donny didn’t know too much about. He’s never seen either of them in action but he could tell from their kit they were armed at least. Yukari had a bunch of restraints so her fighting style likely involved putting those restraints on her opponent, likely grappling. Donny could get out of them easily. Kaida had a sword. Donny’s been cut many times, but he’s never actually be pitted against a sword fighter before.

Team C and D weren’t slouches either, but Donny didn’t have much intel on them beyond what he saw from yesterday’s battle. Team C had Roy, who Donny knew had some light based ability. He wasn’t sure if it produced heat, but he knew Roy was stronger in the sun. 50/50, Donny could probably take him on inside a building or underground, but if Roy’s light abilities also was hot, Donny would just put himself in a bad situation. Aside from Roy, Donny didn’t know anything about the rest of Team C. Team D had Fumika. She didn’t seem the type to be good in a straight up brawl, but her quirk allowed her to make duplicates of things she sees. And Donny has no idea how he’d fare if he had to fight himself. Ideally he’d take her out with a surprise attack as well. The rest of Team D, Donny had no intel on.

”Hrn… A lot of my strategies rely on surprise attacks…” Donny mumbled to himself. Perhaps ambushes weren’t the most “heroic” thing to do, but that’s what Donny felt he could do best at. He doesn’t know if any of the other students had the same tunneling ability as he did. He knew that Mina at least was willing to chase him down his tunnels, so he made a mental note to make the tunnels even smaller; in his true form Donny could fit into some pretty tight spaces. Anyone who’d follow him would have to crawl and squeeze through underground, which would give him the advantage since it’ll cut off their mobility. Of course that ability goes right out the window if the other students fight above ground, like on a rooftop or something. Of course that’s also why he tends to bring down the house.

”Maybe…. To maximize our ability…. Raze buildings….” Donny said to himself, before realizing that the others might’ve heard him. He tried to pack pedal a little. ”I mean, c-c-c-c-collapse the rooftops. S-S-So they can’t get away f-f-from me and Acion can g-g-g-g-g-get a clear shot at t-them.”

”I see now.”

It was not entirely sure but very likely that his team would lack the ability to bore the brunt against other teams. Even in a one on one situation.

For Team A, Acion had witnessed the skills of three out of four players there. Mina is a skilled martial artist and a walking flashbang. Jett is an acrobatic teleporter. And Ezra had super strength, shown by yesterday’s lunch. After hearing Luelle and Donny’s quirk, it was hard to imagine them actually going toe to toe with each other. Of course, for Acion, it was easier. Mina, despite her skill sets, was grounded. Jett was pretty troublesome, since he could spam that ability repeatedly for increased mobility. While that does not technically make him fly, it allowed him to stay in mid air long enough to maneuver and fight. Ezra was actually the one he should be worried about. If he could kick that table with such might, then he would be easily able to throw objects at a much higher velocity. The best course of action here would be to outmaneuver, out-reflex him. It wouldn’t be easy, but it wouldn’t be too difficult. Acion was confident in his reflexes, that it could outclass most in the class.

Team B, we have Kaida, Mamoru, Dulga and Yukari. Yukari he didn’t know. While he had spent some times with Kaida, he didn’t know what her quirk was. Mamoru he had already seen her irrational recklessness, so he ought to be careful around her. It may be best to let others deal with her instead. For Dulga, he also didn’t know, but he had seen her firing guns in the armory. So she could use guns at the least. Maybe quite good, or even a professional. Acion didn’t know for sure, but whatever the bar was set in, he would place himself in high alert, as she could peep a shot at him at any moment, from anywhere. Of course, like for Ezra, if he could get through one, two or three of their projectiles, then they are vulnerable to his counter attack.

Team C Acion was blinded, although Roy he knew was capable of some sort of heat, whose effectiveness was not yet known. Team D was pretty much the same, with only Fumika. She appeared less intimidating and of a challenge to the winged boy, but he couldn’t let his guard down.

For Acion himself, he was pretty much the ace pilot of A-1. But his position in the sky wasn’t entirely his. His strategy would mainly revolve around blitzing the enemy, flying from a safe position, attack them with full power, then pull out and leave the scene. While this would not likely cause a KO, it could damage the team’s physical ability and morale.

He was speculating the plans when Donny voiced his own plan. A recognizable but a pretty scary plan: bring down the building...again.

”I don’t think I would agree.” Acion said. ”Not that it’s bad. It’s potentially lethal to others. And I believe I don’t require that to go through to take out everyone.”

”I would approve a safer plan. Just take it easy, and let the other teams deliver their blows to each other, and then we’ll storm in. I shall take the job of weaving them together. My strength is speed. In minutes I will be at their doorstep. And we shall gather them in one location at once. If tunneling is your specialty, then I believe collapsing the floor would be safer. And can still be implemented to solidly take them out.”

Acion then turned to the other two

”But I shall heed your words upon it. Which is more sound?”

As she listened to the discussions, Haruka’s suit took note of the information being given. Names, Quirk information, and portraits of her teammates taken in-costume by her helmet’s visor were gathered together in appropriate combinations, essentially creating profiles of them for her to look back on in the event that she needed to remember something. The mini-dossiers were quite barebones, but would be useful for her all the same. Of course, she could always add on to them as she got to know them better.

Information darted across the screen of the visor, filling her view with an augmented reality display of words that were formed by her thoughts. Due to this, the profiles were not exactly professional, essentially being written out in the way she’d put together a casual text or IM to a friend.

Donny
quirk: munchin and crunchin
notes: great cook, very cute

Acion
quirk: fly boy, pointy feathers
notes: cool name, probably a paladin

Luelle
quirk: temperature weirdness??? chilly fire?
notes: makes AC obsolete

With the profiles completed, Haruka smiled at the compliment Donny gave her costume, pulling off a very superhero-esque pose as she flexed her arms. “Thank you.~ I put this one together a couple months ago. It’s a little clunky and pretty heavy, but I think I’m making good improvements with the designs.” She was proud of her creations, and using the power armor just felt good. Of course, while a robotic suit of armor she was piloting probably made her Quirk quite obvious to the others, she decided to tell them about it a bit so they had a more concrete idea. “Oh, yeah. My Quirk lets me control technology, basically. I can learn about pretty much anything electronic or mechanical if I can take it apart and look it over, and then I can build things out of what I know. This suit took a lot of research on prosthetics and hydraulics, stuff like that.”

When plan discussions came up, her posture changed once again, shifting her weight to one leg as she crossed her arms. “Sneak attacks work, but I’m not so sure on the whole property damage thing,” She began. “But tunneling could definitely make for an interesting option. I’m not really built for digging, but a couple of my suit’s features can definitely help with the underground route. Take the others by surprise after they soften each other up a bit, then subdue and submerge. They won’t even see us coming.”

Luelle stepped forward. “If I could speak. I like the tunneling idea. Perhaps we can use these to trap our targets in and I can use the cold part of my fire to make ice to block the entrance so they can’t escape and we can’t fall through them.”] Luelle said. She looked around her group.

“Perhaps we should pair up a bit, for supportive reasons. You never know who we are going to run into. If I may, Donny, can I perhaps come with you. While your quirk is an amazing feat itself, you could be at a huge disadvantage if you run into someone who could take you out easy. I’m asking as perhaps a friend and a group member”

Looking around the group, Donny felt just a touch nervous. Everyone seemed so.... Cooperative. It was nice being able to work as a team. Acion didn’t like the idea of bringing down the building, and admittedly Donny wasn’t too eager to try that again either. Still most people know he could do it. Perhaps if he could just pretend he’s going to do that, people might get scared and leave the point. Wishful thinking of course. It’s more likely that people would be more aware of his abilities and try to take him out. All the more reason he needed to go underground. Haruka and Luelle seemed supportive of going underground, which actually surprised Donny. Most people don’t like the cramp spaces of the tunnels, and Donny typically doesn’t make them too big either, baring attempts at sapping fortifications like yesterday’s battle. Not to mention if they came with him, they’d see his true form.

Despite the fact that so far no one seemed particularly perturbed about how he really looks, Donny still felt self-conscious about letting others see him. He just didn’t like the idea, but he knew he had to get over it. If he wanted to be a hero, he needed to have confidence. ”One step at a time Donny-boy. Do it for the team. Okay, one, two three….” Donny gulped and looked to Luelle and Haruka, rubbing where his neck should’ve been. ”I’m…. N-N-N-Not against you two coming w-with me. I can handle t-t-the d-d-d-d-digging. Just….. Give me s-s-s-s-some space.” Donny took another deep breath. Legitimate teamwork. Luelle will seal the tunnels after he pulls someone underground, and Haruka and him could beat up whoever he drags down under. It was a simple plan, but that works best for him. Better than trying to figure out how to scare everyone off the point.

Now the only question was what to do with Acion. ”S-So if Haruka-chan and L-L-Luelle-chan come with me, w-w-what about A-Acion?”

”I’ve said this before. I shall be your eyes from above. You can’t drag anyone down if you don’t know if they are there.”

His idea was simply weaving all the teams together at one point by harassing them with feathers, like a falcon that storms from heaven, so that they would move more quickly to the point. He knew that some people would try to avoid a direct confrontation, so he would have to do that. There, they would weaken each other. And then his team would storm in and take the point. Now that it was more of baiting them into a trap rather than that. It was fine enough.

”I will be fine on my own. The last fight I emerged victorious, and this time I shall too.”

Still, he had to pay attention to who he would blitz in this fight though, since they are all potential people. Ezra could shoot him down. Dulga could shoot him down. Jett could fight him toe to toe. Mina could topple over his accuracy, though it would very unlikely that it would take him down. Accuracy. The more reason why he brought some smoke grenades with him. For now, team A looked like a very very bad choice. Team B as well, since there that fluffball Mamoru that could deal with his feathers. Team D seemed ok, but the presence of a few individuals seemed to creep up his nerve. Team C looked more tempting, but he’ll see how the battle would progress first.

”I will communicate with you all very frequently, so don’t go radio silent on me at any time.” He said to everybody, hoping that they would take note of that. ”We have one solid plan there.”

Haruka nodded, all of this sounding agreeable to her. ”Okay, so Acion takes the skies and tells us where to strike, and we catch everyone off guard. Sounds like a plan!” She uncrossed her arms and pumped a fist to emphasize her point, then stuck it out towards the others, palm-down. The intention was for everyone to do the same and cheer together, and the excitement in her body language betrayed the wide smile hidden behind her helmet’s mouthplate. ”Let’s get out there and win this together! Plus Ultra!”

Gulping and adjusting his cloak, Donny still felt nervous as hell. He supposed that after a while these jitters in his guts will go away, but he still couldn't help but feel… Excited. He liked this team. He liked this plan. He wanted to make everyone proud. Haruka sensed the hype and extended her hand. Donny knew a team hand stack when he saw one. Flexing his fingers Donny’s hand joined the pile. He swallowed his fears for just a moment and nodded to Haruka. ”P-Plus Ultra!”

A smile escaped his lips. It seemed solid indeed. To be honest, he liked how his team was cooperating on this one. He really appreciated that.

”Arch-”

Acion shutted up at the last second. That name, when he thought about it, was embarrassing somehow. He had to ditch that personality. He should come up with a new hero name. Something more powerful and befitting.

Another name came into mind

”Storm Bird, primed and ready. Good luck everyone. Plus Ultra!”

”Right! Let’s stick to the plan and we will emerge victorious. I will make sure I will be great help” Luelle said. She honestly didn’t know what name to call herself, so she only offered words of encouragement.
I will post something maybe tomorrow.
Yurius Diencrade

Cafeteria to Entrance

Hearing the shifter explained her power, he was both impressed...and unimpressed. She appeared to be fairly feeble in terms of raw power. She wasn't really well-trained. Honestly speaking, she should have been in the beginner class. But at the notification that she had a fighting style, and that she had the tenacity to go through, he almost . How effective would that be, he would have to see it for himself.

"Ayyy...."

The vampire sighed boringly as he thought deeply. While people often say 'Do not judge a book by its cover', Yurius was the type of person to do so, even when he told himself not to occasionally. The reason was simply because there would be the cover was the thing that impresses most about the subject. While the quality may differ, it was time to look that deeply. Moreover, Yurius had a hefty number of students both attending and wishing to attend his class. Most of these people were like her, trying to convince him with words like this. If hearing it again and again and again wouldn't bore him, he would have been in exile for an eternity without having to get in touch with this damned world anyway.

He pondered for a whole few minutes, seemingly trying to kill the girl with boredom, or tension, or both. He was really considering sending her to a semester down the beginner class, but hesitated at the thought. That was the reason why he wanted to fight that student earlier. Only in true combat environment would the true worth of a fighter be shown under the light. But considering his true power, and what just happened earlier, he hesitated to commit one. But then he wouldn't know. Maybe he could just let her attend one day, and test her there.

As Yurius was about to voice his words, a deafening scream could be heard very clearly. One that could be defined as immediate terror. The eyes of the vampire suddenly glowed like flames, as he alerted himself to the situation. It initially appeared to be nearby, but it wasn't. Whether this was some sort of pranks by the students, the vampire had never been through such incidents before in his whole career here.

Before his curiosity could take him over, the Head Magister had already given a school-wide broadcast.

"I am sure that's your cue to go professor, I will leave it to you." The shifter said to him as she turned away and left. Damn, he hadn't got the chance to arrange her the class schedule.

But nevermind, something was definitely up. The vampire could feel himself sinking. But he already had his orders. And he would deliver it.

The vampire stood up firmly, finishing his bloody drink, but not the steaks, and left. His steps, while boringly and nonchalant when he entered, suddenly became more decisive and fast paced. There wasn't any particular location, so the vampire would just take the main entrance instead. On his way there, he could see a number of students under confusion, and somewhat terrified.

"Go!" He pointed at the building. "The staff will handle this alone."

And then he arrived at the entrance. He did not know what exactly was going on, but he would soon know that. Soon enough...
