@HenryJonesJr I'd love to play Namor on an as-needed basis.

It's all good my dude. Wraith is known for his formatting.

I wasn't taking a dig at you with the 'snubbing' comment by the way, I was just teasing.

Yeah all good, don't think any of us wants to make something out of nothing. Though I begin to worry that we are reaching the point where fancy formatting is in fact obfuscating relevant information.

The details @Lord Wraith referenced are in the Character Tab on information panels.

Fair enough the S.H.I.E.L.D and Argus being formed isn't canon yet (as it's in my sheet) but the founding of the Justice League and Avengers are canon.

Oh god this formatting is just killing me lmao, I missed the tiny "est 2010" under the giant logos.

Fun fact: putting spaces between your numbers (because they're written out as 2 0 1 0 etc) makes it so ctrl+f doesn't work on them.

You can't ask for details and then snub details :P

Are details in character sheets, none of which having been accepted yet, set in stone? I can't even find the sheets you're referring to, which I think is undeserving of claiming I'm "snubbing" anything.

EDIT: OK there is a mention of the avengers forming "in the 2010s" in a hider in Cap's sheet.

I give and I give and I give, and no one reads...

<Snipped quote by Dead Cruiser>

I mean, kind of clashes with the Established in 2010 and 2012 part of the sheets.

Details details

GR's gonna play this at top volume outside of Fate's tower to annoy him.

Not the Wolfe Tones? For shame.

Check the Characters tab.

Eh nothing I wrote clashes with that. Just trying to give them some depth, provide a reason someone might join one team over the other.
I wonder how President Superman and Captain America would meet. Since Steve Rogers grew up in 1930s and 40s America, it's quite the eye opener

Fate grew up in 1910s England. I actually plan on his, shall we say, problematic past being a part of his character. He was literally one of the Black-and-Tans before he got his powers.

Register with the United Nations. S.H.I.E.L.D is a global peacekeeping taskforce. Technically speaking President Supes isn't Caps boss.

JL is just @Master Bruce paying people to be his friends.

Maybe we need a fictional history for each org.

My idea is like... Avengers were formed as an unofficial alliance of Allied superheroes in WWII. Later grandfathered into SHIELD following the formation of the United Nations.

The Justice League was originally the Justice Society of America, and was also formed after WWII by the likes of Alan Scott, Jay Garrick, Carter Hall, etc. Membership changes and bankrolling from Wayne changed it from basically a drinking club for veteran superheroes into the global defense alliance it is today as the Justice League.

Honestly in comics, if you go the OG lineup Thor is easily their equivalent of Superman. People quite often sleep on his power levels, especially in recent years.

In terms of the Avengers being like the Dark Avengers I see it. I mean I think the thing is you really need to define a difference in the two groups in games like this, as if both are private... what's the point?

I think we can draw the line between the two as, like:

If you are a superhero and want to do it for a living, you join the Avengers. A paycheck, benefits, insurance, but you have to register with the US government and are ultimately at their beck and call.

The Justice League is pretty different, and is more like a secret society of superheroes. You have to be invited to join, and its membership are more along the lines of aliens, demigods, etc, whose concerns are outside the scope of world governments.
Really I think it's more because Thor is probably the Avengers equivalent to Wonder Woman.

The Avengers in this world would probably be something closer to the Dark Avengers, being an explicitly government run and funded superhero team.
If you consider that the New Gods (as a comic series) only began because Kirby left Marvel and wanted to continue his Thor storyline, that introduces some new elements as well. Maybe Asgard and New Genesis/Apokolips are related in some way, with "magic space gods" being sister-races, related somehow.
