Current I think I'm Advanced+ level and could do that. But under Adv, I feel compelled to write a certain way and it makes writing feel more like a chore even if it's just in my head. Thus, I prefer Casual

Many people equate "Advanced" to "Big, high effort posts with lots of flowery language." It's a habitual thought I struggle to shake as an RPer with 20+ years of writing experience. It's very draining

Well, they are technically the canon attacks. They're just changed slightly to better fit the character. I suppose he can use the Tekken Seisai, though. I don't think that'll be too bad for him if he types it out enough times to get used to how it's spelled. If he wants a Light-based attack, he could have the attacks lined with light energy or something?
That's true, but this Gankoomon is not the same as the one that was originally created. His personality is different, so I feel like he needs a more serious technique pool. As for the move translation, I can understand. I should say that I prefer "Localized" names. That is, names that aren't simply directly translated, but changed to make sense to an English audience while still keeping to the theme of the attack. For example, Lobomon's Licht Sieger being localized to "Lobo Kendo." And yeah, sometimes Japanese names do sound better. But I personally don't think that this is one of those cases. I personally find these names rather...meh. I think the Japanese attacks sound better in an English setting are usually those that are only a single word long or few syllables (such as Renamon's "Kohenkyo." That one just seems to roll off the tongue so well. Although I wouldn't be opposed to localizing it either, such as with the name "Substitution" or something like that.)
I say that because I feel like they're a huge mouthful and are very wordy. I would personally prefer them to be renamed myself because it's a lot simpler and it sounds a lot better to me. Plus, they sound more like real attack names rather than the kind of comical names that they actually are. (And to be completely honest, I would personally vote on getting all of his other attacks translated as well. It just seems weird to me to have German attacks xD)
Hm... I've got a suggestion for you, Xander. Why don't you try something like "Gankoo Crusher" for that Flipping Table move? You can have him grab the ground and pull a chunk out of it and flip it around, trying to slam it down onto the target? Another possibility is to use his weird "Jishin! Kaminari! Kaji! Oyashi!" move and call it something like "Blitzkrieg." I think it's a fitting name for a move that does elemental attacks in such quick succession. You can have him use an earth-element attack, an electric attack and a fire attack to finish the attack up. Would those work for you, Tob?
Right. Well, that's alright. I'll just leave him as-is for now. He's fine. xD And done~ The CS' have been posted on the Characters tab. I put them both in the same post so that I wasn't double posting, though. Would you rather I put them in separate posts instead?
## Human **Name**: Hideaki "Hide" saitou **Age**: 18 **Gender**: Male **Designation**: Child 2 **Photo**: ![Hideaki Saitou's basic appearance](http://i44.tinypic.com/w7ikvd.jpg "Hideaki Saitou") **Dossier**: Hide was born in the United States, but raised in Japan. His parents were successful lawyers in the States and soon moved to Japan in order to become successful in another country's legal system as well when Hide was still a toddler. His father is a defense attorney and his mother a prosecutor. They both agree that they want Hideaki to also become a proficient attorney when he gets old enough, so they spared no expense to give him the greatest education they could. They home-schooled him, gave him the best private instructors that their money could buy.... When his high school-level days approached, he was practically buried by his books. Both those that he needed to study with and the ones he read in his personal time. However, his parents did often disagree on which side of the courtroom they wanted him to pursue. It was nothing major that they fought over, and the times they did fight about it, it was only in small bickers at a time. But eventually, Hide decided that he needed to start getting some fresh air to clear his head and get some fresh thoughts flowing. It is during times like these that he often found himself wandering the town by himself, exploring and eventually making his way through various schools around the city, driven by his curiosity about how other children received their education. However, he never made outside friends. But he was content living the way he was. Loneliness never struck him so long as his parents continued to set time aside for him and play his favorite games with them...usually puzzle or strategy games like Chess. In fact, Chess quickly became his specialty. He played and studied the game so much that he was able to beat his father and any computer AI-controlled opponents in any program he ever installed on his personal computer on any difficulty level. He became a phenomenal tactician, learning how to read at least a couple of steps ahead. His parents harbored this talent of his and helped him grow it, as it would become very useful in courtroom arguments. Hide continued to live peacefully in this manner, continuing his usual routine until he soon realized that his High School-level days were nearly behind him. It would not be long before he was sent off to a private college, where he would then transfer into a prestigious law school. He just hoped that he would be able to handle such a change in his lifestyle.... **Other**: Due to his tactical-focused mind, he has become a very rational thinker; one who is able to even think clearly through extremely stressful situations (helped by the constant pressure of his studies). He is a very logical individual who will often base his decisions solely on what is the most reasonable selection given the known facts and balancing it against the unknown variables. However, due to his semi-secluded lifestyle, he has very little physical athletic ability. ## Digimon **Seat**: Seat 01 **Gender**: Male **Control Method**: Until he reaches his Omnimon level, he is actually nothing too impressive when it comes to battle prowess. He is certainly far from weak, but his punches are a lot softer than he thinks they are. In terms of overall battle capability, however, he is painfully below average. Most of the fights he picks, he will lose. The only times he can consistently win is when he is most needed. It is actually his stamina and willpower that are his specialties. He can take a lot more hits than the average Digimon and still find the will to stand back up again. It takes a lot more to bring him down for good (though just because he's still standing doesn't necessarily mean he'll be in any condition to keep fighting). Overall, he is a somewhat slower fighter and not as physically strong as he wants to be, below average for Digimon on his level. When he reaches his Ultimate level, his speed rises greatly, but his physical strength is still lacking. When he becomes Omnimon, however, he becomes a much more well-balanced fighter, with a slight focus on speed and his stamina still remaining his strong point. **Personality**: A warrior at heart, Agumon loves fighting above all else. However, he prefers fighting for sport rather than for destruction or pain. He has a very powerful moral compass and will hesitate to purposely destroy any Digimon, even evil ones. He is also very rash with a temper that is extremely easy to flare. He despises being underestimated (from his point of view). To him, his strength is everything. If he can't prove himself, he will never be satisfied. This does not mix well with his actual physical abilities, which are usually rather sub-par, resulting in him constantly trying to train himself at any opportunity and he tries to develop his techniques and learn new ways of using them. Due to his hot-headed nature, he very often picks fights...many of which that are accepted he ends up losing. If he feels that somebody really needs his help, however, he will fight much harder and his capabilities will temporarily improve as a result. As such, his true strength only shines when it's needed. #### Baby- **Name**: Botamon **Attribute**: N/A **Appearance**: ![](http://wikimon.net/images/3/39/Botamon.gif) **Technique**: Acid Bubbles - Shoots bubbles from his mouth toward the foe. Inflicts extremely minor damage. #### In-Training- **Name**: Koromon **Attribute**: Data **Appearance**: ![](http://wikimon.net/images/thumb/2/24/Koromon2.jpg/200px-Koromon2.jpg) **Technique**: Bubbles - Fires a short barrage of bubbles that inflict very minor damage each #### Rookie- **Name**: Agumon **Attribute**: Vaccine **Appearance**: ![](http://wikimon.net/images/6/67/Agumon_cs.jpg) **Techniques**: Pepper Breath - Fires a small fireball from his mouth. Inlicts minor, fire-based damage. Claw Attack - Slashes his claws against the opponent's body from close range. Inflicts minor physical damage. Claw Uppercut - Derived from Claw Attack; Strikes the opponent from below and (if small enough) knocks them upward. Inflicts minor physical damage. #### Champion- **Name**: Greymon **Attribute**: Vaccine **Appearance**: ![](http://wikimon.net/images/5/58/Greymon_front.png) **Techniques**: Nova Blast - Shoots a large fireball from his mouth. Moderate speed. Inflicts somewhat minor, fire-based damage. Great Horn Attack- Headbutts the opponent with powerful horns. Inflicts moderate physical damage. #### Ultimate- **Name**: RizeGreymon **Attribute**: Vaccine **Appearance**: ![](http://wikimon.net/images/c/c3/RizeGreymon_collectors.png) **Techniques**: Trident Revolver - Burst of three rapid fireball blasts from his arm canon. Inflicts good fire-based damage. Rising Destroyer - Shoots a laser blast from his concealed chest canons and the 3-point beam canons on his wings. Inflicts moderately good damage with each part individually, but moderately high damage if they all strike the same target at the same time. Barrel Smash - Slams his foe with the barrel of his canon as hard as he can. Inlicts good physical damage. Solid Strike - Derived from Barrel Smash; rushes at a high speed to deliver the barrel blow. Increased momentum means higher damage output, but will leave him more vulnerable if it is evaded. #### Mega- **Name**: WarGreymon **Attribute**: Vaccine **Appearance**: ![](http://wikimon.net/images/c/cd/WarGreymon2.jpg) **Techniques**: Terra Force - Concentrates atmospheric energies into a large fireball and throws it. Inflicts high damage. Mega Claw - Using the Dramon Killer gauntlets on his arms to slash at the foe. Inflicts moderately high physical damage on most Digimon. Inflicts very high damage against Dramon-type Digimon. Great Tornado - Spins and creates a tornado around himself, striking the opponent directly like a drill. Inflicts moderately high physical damage. High speed. Brave Shield - Grabs the "shell wings" on his back and combines them, forming a shield that can repel most attacks on his level. #### Mega II/Royal Knight- **Name**: Omnimon **Attribute**: Vaccine **Appearance**: ![](http://wikimon.net/images/5/59/Omegamon2.gif) **Techniques**: Transcendent Sword - Slashes his Omni Sword in his Grey Arm. Inflicts very high physical damage Garuru Cannon - Fires a blast of energy from his Garuru Arm. Inflicts very high light/energy-based damage. Omni Howl - Charges for a short time before firing a powerful blast of energy from the Garuru Arm. Inflicts extremely high energy damage. Is vulnerable during the charging period and must maintain his focus the entire time in order to shoot. Getting struck hard enough will most likely disrupt his focus. Omni Sword - Charges energy into the Omni Sword in his Grey Arm before slashing. Inflicts very high physical damage backed by high light/energy damage (totaling about the same as an Omni Howl. Same restrictions apply.) Sword of Ruin - Creates an explosive cross-slash with the Omni Sword. Inflicts extremely high fire-based damage, but can harm anybody within range, allies and himself included if he is not careful. Royal Shield - Swings his cape around and uses it like a barrier, blocking most ranged attacks. Does not work very well against strong physical attacks. #### Ascended Royal Knight **Name**: Omnimon X **Attribute**: Vaccine **Appearance**: ![](http://wikimon.net/images/d/d7/Omegamonx.jpg) **Techniques**: Omega Transcendent Sword - Slashes with the blade of an empowered Omni Sword. Inflicts extremely high physical damage. Can unleash a shockwave to deal very high non-physical damage that gets weaker the farther it travels until it dissipates completely or strikes something. Omega Howl - Unleashes a beam attack from an empowered Garuru Cannon. Inflicts extremely high light/energy based damage. Omega Ruin - An empowered version of Sword of Ruin. Slashes three times instead of twice and creates a bigger more powerful explosion. He is likely to get himself caught in the attack and is to be used more as a last resort. Royal Guard - The characters on the Grey Sword begin to glow and he draws a circle with the blade, creating a barrier that protects him from all frontal attacks. The barrier bears the symbol of Courage. Royal Barrier - The eyes on the Garuru Cannon begin to glow and it unleashes a burst of energy creating a barrier with a range that he can control. The larger the barrier, however, the more energy it consumes. Energy is also expended from him anytime something strikes it (the more powerful the attack, the more energy is used to keep it active). Designed to protect a group from a large number of weaker attacks rather than protecting from a single, powerful blow. Bears the symbol of Friendship on the barrier itself. Omega Inforce - Not so much a technique, but a static ability he has acquired at this stage. A battle intuition in which he can virtually see danger coming before it actually comes. He does not foresee the actual attack necessarily, but he senses where it is coming from. Essentially, it allows him to never be surprise attacked. (rather similar to Spider Sense) --- --- --- ## Human **Name**: Henry Damon **Age**: 14 **Gender**: Male **Designation**: Child 12 **File Photo**: [Henry's Headshot](http://oi60.tinypic.com/15mgzdl.jpg) **Dossier**: Henry is a rather strange individual. He has a very happy-go-lucky personality...but to an extreme degree. He cares not for his own well-being and enjoys almost anything he can deem fun. And his definition is very different from most. Ever since a young age, he has had a mild obsession with destruction and death. This personality was born from an attempt to prevent a mental breakdown after witnessing a very violent crime in his past. Ever since the event, he has found himself fascinated by the deaths of others. He will talk about it as though it were a joke and treats it like it were any other subject he could talk about freely. Other than this, however, he seems like any other polite young man just starting his high school life. However, he lives a rather lonely lifestyle as many of his classmates think of him as a somewhat creepy person. But he does not let this get him down for long. Instead of focusing on that, he expresses himself outwardly, becoming more friendly with others and even openly talking with strangers as though they were best friends. However, in truth, his outward personality hides something that even he was not aware of. Something that even his parents kept from him. His sudden obsession with death and his new demeanor was born as a new personality, completely masking the original in order to protect it from scarring. He has no idea that he has a second personality. It has not yet shown itself, but there is no telling when it may turn up. **Other**: As stated, he is a victim of Dissociative Identity Disorder. This will probably not have a big impact, but it provides a basis for a very child-like demeanor that enjoys danger and walking the line between life and death. If it does come up later, then that makes it interesting as well. ## Digimon **Seat**: 11 **Gender**: Male **Control Method**: Gaomon is a very focused fighter. He prefers to fight defensively in all Digivolution stages, relying on dodging and counterattacking rather than straight combat. He prefers to actually avoid conflict if he can help it and is always attempting to mediate when he can. He tries to dissipate tension as it's building. If all else fails, however, he will not be the one to throw the first punch. However, the moment another Digimon strikes him, he will not hesitate to strike back and fight at his best. When in combat, he shows no mercy. As long as the enemy attacks him, he will strike back without hesitation. He is a talented fighter, preferring to utilize technique and speed rather than power, relatively similarly to human boxers. Because of this focus, however, his punches can be rather light and they don't hit quite as hard as most other Digimon. His fights tend to be longer and more drawn-out because of this. Upon reaching his Knight status, however, he will gain the method he needs for quicker endings: his claw blades. However, he still must find an opening to strike a decisive blow. Until that point, however, he fights with a single purpose: to unbalance his opponent and create an opening that will allow him to create a severe (possibly even fatal) wound. He is, again, easy to overpower by more aggressive opponents. His speed can only get him so far.... **Personality:** Gaomon is a very loyal, subservient warrior. He pledges himself to whatever cause he deems worthy of fighting for and nothing else. He is a Digimon of honor and will not stand for any kind of disloyalty or anything that he sees as dishonorable activity. Upon meeting Henry, he instantly senses something within him. He feels as though this is a child worth protecting, despite his oddities. He cannot even rationalize it himself. But because of this, he swears undying loyalty to his Tamer. He makes a promise to lay his life on the line to keep him safe. However, as time moves on, he begins to view himself as less of a bodyguard and more of a babysitter, needing to constantly redirect his childish partner away from the danger he likes to throw himself into. He begins to imagine that it is merely a sense of duty to protect an innocent boy like him from himself that might be why he originally felt the desire to stick with him. In most forms, Gaomon is very calm and collected, although he can quickly become agitated or angered when dishonorable tactics are used or when the cause he has sworn himself to is put in jeopardy. At that point, he begins utilizing a silent anger. He will not show his wild emotions through anything but his eyes and clenched fists. He will not say a word and have no qualms as he destroys any Digimon that dares to strike below the belt. Originally, when he was first born as a Baby or In-Training, he had a desire to defeat other Digimon in battle and was rather fierce about it. However, he has since matured past that stage. But his anger, if severe enough, can revert him back to his old ways. He can usually keep his anger under control, but if it falls out of his hands, he can scare even himself at times. In the end, however, he has the heart of a puppy in every last one of his forms, sometimes leading to an awkward situation as a Knight. He has his pride, however. But even that can be bypassed by certain tricks that he shares in common with domesticated canines in the human world. #### Baby **Name**: Dodomon **Gender**: Male **Attribute**: Data Appearance: ![](http://wikimon.net/images/0/02/Dodomon.jpg) Technique: •Iron Beads - Shoots tiny beads of iron that inflict extremely minor damage each. #### In-Training **Name**: Tsunomon **Gender**: Male **Attribute**: Data **Appearance**: ![](http://wikimon.net/images/0/08/Tsunomon2.jpg) **Technique**: •Bubble - Launches a single bubble attack that causes very minor damage on impact. #### Rookie **Name**: Gaomon **Gender**: Male **Attribute**: Data **Appearance**: ![](http://wikimon.net/images/9/96/Gaomon_art_dsm.png) **Techniques**: •Gao Rush - Launches a furious flurry of punches, occasionally including kicks to take an opponent by surprise. Inflicts minor damage in total, but the final punch is undoubtedly the strongest of the previous strikes and adds a little bit of extra damage if it connects. •Rolling Upper - Curls into a ball and rolls toward the opponent, springing upward and throwing a powerful uppercut at the target's jaw. Inflicts minor damage, but is usually used in an attempt to unbalance an opponent or open them up for further strikes. (Note: Neither attack is as strong as the damage dealt as a Champion, despite the wording being the same). #### Champion **Name**: Gaogamon **Gender**: Male **Attribute**: Data **Appearance**: ![](http://wikimon.net/images/c/cc/Gaogamon3.jpg) **Techniques**: •Double Claw: Slashes at the target with both front claws. Inflicts minor physical damage per claw. •Spiral Blow: Blasts a beam-like tornado from his mouth. Used more for blowing and slamming enemies than causing direct damage. Inflicts very minor Wind-based damage. •Gaoga Howl: A wind-based energy blast. Inflicts minor wind-based damage. #### Ultimate **Name**: MachGaogamon **Gender**: Male **Attribute**: Data **Appearance**: ![](http://wikimon.net/images/d/df/MachGaogamon_collectors.png) **Techniques**: •Howling Cannon: Unleashes a supersonic wave from his howl. Inflicts moderate energy-based damage. •Winning Knuckle: A powerful, single punch thrown with blinding speed. Inflicts moderate physical damage. •Mach Spiral: Blasts a larger and stronger tornado from his fist by punching it into the air. Inflicts moderate wind-based damage. #### Mega 1 **Name**: ZeedGarurumon **Gender**: Male **Attribute**: Data **Appearance**: ![](http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130721013024/digimon/es/images/1/12/Z'dGarurumonDMO.png) **Techniques**: •Zeed Cannon: Unleashes a powerful blast from the energy cannon on his back. Inflicts great energy damage, but requires time to aim, lock on, and then it takes a moment to charge before each blast. •Fullmetal Blaze: Locks onto multiple targets and unleashes a barrage of energy blasts from the smaller cannons on his body. Each individual blast inflicts slightly high energy-based damage per shot. Each cannon can only target one foe at a time without colliding in midair and cancelling the attack. Designed to defeat groups of weak digimon rather than in normal combat. •Blowback Breath: Unleashes a jet of energy from his mouth that swirls like a vortex. Inflicts moderately high wind-based damage. •Gaoga Force: whips up a whirlwind around himself and any nearby entities. Deflects most projectiles. Particularly fast or powerful attacks will blast through with little trouble. Does very little to stop physical attacks. Must remain stationary until the attack is finished, or else he risks losing control. #### Mega II/Royal Knight **Name**: MirageGaogamon **Gender**: Male **Attribute**: Data **Appearance**: ![](http://oi60.tinypic.com/29oj30y.jpg) **Techniques**: •Gale Claw: Rushes at the opponent at extremely high speeds and slashes with his claws. Inflicts high physical damage •Mirage Claw: Unleashes a barrage of claw slashes that leave afterimages. Not all of the attacks the opponent sees are real strikes. Inflicts moderately high physical damage for each strike. •Crescent Slash: Slashes his claws through the air and unleashes an arcing blade of wind at the foe. Inflicts high wind-based damage. •Crescent Rotation: Spins in place and unleashes a more powerful whirlwind around him, aided by his cape. The wind blows back even greater energy blasts and can stop more physical attacks. Any Digimon with an attack physically more powerful than his own strength limits will still break through, though with a little bit more effort. •Full Moon Blaster - Takes the time to focus all of his energy into the cannon on his chest and unleashes it. Inflicts extremely high energy damage. Exhausts him after use. **Other**: Gaomon is subservient and lives to serve. It is his purpose. If he were to ever be considered an equal, he would be lost for a moment, unsure of what he should do. He is not used to taking orders from only himself.
> I love it! A little bit obvious with the trauma and psychoses but it's great nonetheless. I do like how you strung a wind theme through the Digimon, and the control method is more than enough. The only issue is there are now two Wanyamon in the RP. If you could somehow differentiate it, so that there's no confusion. If you want to change it, may I suggest Tsunomon? Otherwise, it's fine. I also think we have two Botamon too, but that's relatively fine. Thanks! Yeah, I figured it was a bit obvious, but I wanted to make it clarified. And of course, since nobody is technically supposed to know about it IC, I felt that it was more appropriate to put it off-record. As for Wanyamon...right. I suppose I should change mine then, huh? xD I'm typically not too big on using recolors or anything myself. I could just make my own that more closely resembles Gaomon, since the In-Training level is VERY simple...but I'm also VERY lazy about it. So I think I'll just change it to Tsunomon and be done with it. Definitely the next best to Wanyamon at least. I'll make the necessary edits real quick then~ =} EDIT: So, I just made the necessary changes to Gaomon. Is that acceptable so that I can just Copy/Paste to the CS page? EDIT 2: [I just managed to finish editing Omnimon and Omnimon X's moves.](https://www.roleplayerguild.com/topics/73808/posts/ooc?page=9#post-2322792) I even included a small summary of his Inforce ability. Does that look good to you? If it all checks out, then I'm all done and will post the CS to the OOC. Just a note on Omnimon X's barrier moves: I made two of them in order to make him more versatile and show a larger gap between his first Knight form and his Ascended Knight form. Further, I feel this really helps drive in the motif of "Courage" and "Friendship" that makes him up. One is to protect himself so that he can stand up against more powerful attacks (the Courage), and one to protect his allies at the expense of his own strength (the Friendship). I thought it would be a nice homage to the Adventure series.
Where is your current CS atm, Xander? If you link to it, I could possibly give it a read and see how it is. Although what I think is acceptable is probably different from Tob's point of view.
Ah...I have a bit of a problem with my human character. I don't have a full-body picture of him. Just from the shoulders up. Is that okay? There's not much more to him than what's in the picture. He's got black jean shorts and black tennis shoes. Other: Gaomon is subservient and lives to serve. It is his purpose. If he were to ever be considered an equal, he would be lost for a moment, unsure of what he should do. He is not used to taking orders from only himself. --- So how's that look? I added some attacks and changed others to make him more well-rounded and better fit his defensive battle style. Does it all check out to you all or should I make some modifications?
> Petition for Slashangemon to be retconned into the Knights with Armor Rapidmon. > > Thanks Tob for the approval. Fellsing? Digizel? Yeah, sure. =} I don't see why not~ They certainly look like they fit in well. At LEAST as well as Magnamon every did. xD Also, same with Fell. xD I didn't think you were looking for my approval. But yeah, I don't mind noncanon Digimon at all. I had an RP with Fell in which one of the main characters is completely made-up. So yeah, he looks good and I agree with everything Fell said about it. He looks good and will add some nice and much-needed variety~ And I suppose that I'll get to work on Henry and Gaomon's bios soon. But I'm a bit busy today...I might have it done by tomorrow, though! =}
