Current I think I'm Advanced+ level and could do that. But under Adv, I feel compelled to write a certain way and it makes writing feel more like a chore even if it's just in my head. Thus, I prefer Casual

Many people equate "Advanced" to "Big, high effort posts with lots of flowery language." It's a habitual thought I struggle to shake as an RPer with 20+ years of writing experience. It's very draining

@jynmi88 If you want to control the main villain, I can make the damsel and maybe even the bodyguard hired to protect that ship if he needs to be there.

Also, I dunno when this will become relevant, but I recently had inspiration for a powerful Devil's Fruit user. But before I say who, I want to get one question out of the way.

Are we going to make this in a similar world as the canon world, but with different characters? I like the idea of the frame of the world being the same, but we have complete creative freedom with the characters like the Shichibukai, Yonkou, Marine Admirals/Vice-Admirals, etc?

@grandia20
Heh. I'm actually kinda the same way @grandia20. xD I tend to make my own villains when they become necessary.

For this character in specific, though...I suppose it should be whoever controls him can make his bio? His background and stuff isn't necessary to make right now of course, but.

So I guess the question is...who will control the main villain here? Like...I'm assuming the clone fodder is controlled by whoever is dealing with them since they're not important. But when it comes to the original pirate? Me or you, @jynmi88?
@jynmi88

Hm.... So, the Tajuu-Tajuu no Mi? That's the "Multi Multi Fruit." He could certainly brag about using this fruit to take down entire towns and crowds all by himself, that's for sure. xD I'm okay with that, honestly.

When the time comes, who should be controlling him? Probably not me since Ryu will be confronting him first and that might be a bit awkward. xD But...someone else is going to engage him completely, so probably not them either? xD
@grandia20 @jynmi88

Cool, so I guess we've got that sorted. Now I suppose we just need to come up with the villain, the big-name pirate crew he works for, the person who beat him, as well as the person he takes hostage.
@jynmi88 @grandia20

Okay okay...so that gave me an idea to add onto your good one. =3

Ryu arrives to the island from the ship that left the Grand Line. Perhaps the person that got beat was beaten by the crew of the ship that Ryu was riding on? Here's what I'm thinking:

Ryu is riding a boat...and the boat gets attacked on a routine supply run from a pirate crew...but the ship succeeds in defeating the pirates and continues on unharmed. The pirates, enraged at what happened, follow them and take a valuable passenger from their ship hostage (perhaps a close friend/lover of one of the higher-ups on the ship). Perhaps even somebody that treated Ryu rather well while on board. Ryu then steps in to assist and rescues the hostage...though she takes a serious wound somehow. Either shot or stabbed, it won't matter. At that point, the other crew members arrive in whatever way you'd like them to arrive. They fight back, beating the pirate crew again, while Ryu focuses his attention on saving the person that was injured.

What do you guys think of that one? It's just something that came to my mind as I was reading your posts. xD
@jynmi88 Yeah sure thing. I think that's probably the safest bet. Perhaps they're after a treasure that someone has been keeping hidden away? Maybe an older or Nami-like younger person?

@grandia20 Eh...I feel like that wouldn't make much sense. She was retired from the Marines. Like Bellemere in Arlong Park. Unless she'd done something big against them, I don't think they have a reason to track her down yet.
That makes sense. Still, I could see a Marine crew showing up if they were called or to bust a specific person or group that had recently arrived there or something. But another pirate is certainly easier to come up with. xD

By the way I've taken the liberty of making the 0th post on the Character tab. It'll link to all of the characters' individual bios. And on that note, it would be good to create bios on characters that aren't main protagonists too, such as villains and the like. Naturally, though, we would keep their abilities and such as "Unknown" if our characters don't yet know them.

@grandia20 @jynmi88

So, we have our setting, our main three characters....

Now all we need is the opening plotline and our villains.

Let's start with the villain, so that it makes the plot easier to build. Do we want a Marine crew or a pirate crew to cause trouble here on the island? If trouble starts brewing, Ryu's definitely going to jump right into it so long as a life is about to be taken. xD I'm also assuming that, whoever it is, probably isn't particularly strong. I don't think they should have a Devil's Fruit ability...unless they brag about having a Devil's Fruit ability and it turns out to be weak in battle. xD
Well, and I could be wrong, but the way I was thinking of Geppo was that the water resistance would sort of balance out, because even though its tougher to move through there's more for the user to push off of on the initial kick off. So maybe meet in the middle and say that it takes twice the power to use it underwater than in the air?

Hm.... Yeah, I suppose that could work. It's probably also a good idea to have her able to move quickly in the water. There may come many times when she'll need to help multiple Devil's Fruit users at the same time and would need to tire herself out to save them all. So yeah, I think this works. And since that works, I would say I don't have any other immediate concerns. So I think she's good to go~

Also, I'm looking forward to interactions between Kyuu and Abby...with Ryu just needing to put up with it all. And then there's Saki with Ryu to think about. xD

@grandia20 Yeah, my main concern would by why the Buster Call was made in the first place. It's only happened twice in One Piece's canon history: On Ohara and Enies Lobby. I'm sure there have been others throughout history, but it was only ever called for a significant reason, no matter who made the call. Because it was all about what or who they were investigating at the time. And very few have the ability to even utilize a Buster Call.
