Many people equate "Advanced" to "Big, high effort posts with lots of flowery language." It's a habitual thought I struggle to shake as an RPer with 20+ years of writing experience. It's very draining

"Because-" was all Ryu had the chance to say before the big, bad Captain bellowed out his order, which caused him to momentarily lose his train of thought. He cast a quick glance back toward Mitsuki for a moment, but not before casting more looks toward the two nearby Commanders who had just received some extra news.
"Y-yes sir!" both Commanders responded immediately after Baku gave his order. From there, the swordsman raised his blade once more as the rifleman readied his own weapon. They had no choice now, after all. Captain Baku was clearly getting angry, and they didn't dare disappoint him when he was angry.
Still, even if the Captain hadn't been furious...they were both very eager to be promoted before the other; it would be something to hold over their head until their next promotion. However, after Mitsuki's previous skillful deflection, neither of them were as confident as before. They were really going to have to buckle down and concentrate on him....
'Alive, huh...? So then they really are privy to who I am...' Ryu thought to himself before glancing back at Mitsuki. "I guess if they're so interested in you, my mind's been made up for me. Just...don't kill them, alright?" With that, he turned his focus back onto the opponent in front of him.
Given the size of his opponent, he could probably make the assumption that he was strong, but slow. His gaze fell upon the cannon in the Captain's grip. Wielding a weapon like that so effortlessly took some real strength. He had not had much time to practice with his abilities.... Perhaps this could be exactly the opportunity he needed to test just how sturdy his body could be.
With his mind made up, he prepared for his first move.
As the small group finally began to square off, the villagers all finally began to realize what was happening. There were a few cries from the citizens before the crowd began to disperse, fleeing in the opposite direction and away from where the bullets and cannonballs were going to be thrown around.

Hm...okay then, I look forward to your revisions. I was actually considering making a Fishman myself, but farther down the line. I would like to warn you, though: Careful how you make a Fishman. Their natural advantages over humans could rather easily be seen as a bit powerful for the early islands. Though at the same time, they could suffer similar disadvantages, like racism. I'll withhold judgment though, until I see what you have. xD

Yeah, Grandia's initial character is a cook, but they also planned to introduce a Sniper later. Already had a CS up, just not finished yet, so it was never posted on the character roster. That would be something for you and @grandia20 to sort out, though. I'm okay with either having two snipers on a crew (I mean, there's certainly no downside to having two sharpshooters instead of one) or if Grandia wants to let go of their idea.
As for the Haki...yeah, that's when it has to be realized for sure. And it probably shouldn't be properly trained until the New World...if we ever get to that point. xD
And yeah, the basics of Nami's Mirage Tempo kind of make sense. But there's no way she could have so much control over what the other person is perceiving and how it moves. Especially not her more complicated moves like her Mirage Tempo: Fata Morgana.
In any event, I have no problems with your actual character at least. So even if Grandia wants to keep their character intact, then it's fine with me if you still want to keep yours.

We were alright. I was kind of worried for a couple of days when it shifted along central Florida instead of the eastern edge as expected, but we were fine. Got some high winds and heavy rainfall, but...overall, nothing too bad. Sorry for worrying you and thanks for the concern~ =3

Seems like you did a pretty good job on your own. I have no problems with anything that you've OK'd...except for one potential snag:

The main issue here the fact that Janet's a sniper. The only reason this is an issue is because I know @grandia20 had one already in the works. That's not to say we can't have two, or if Grandia is okay with giving the position up, then it's fine as well. Just wanted to point out that it's a potential issue to think about.

The first instance of Haki in the series, iirc, was in the Skypeia arc, where Eneru and the Priests used Observation Haki, calling it "Mantra." That was quite a ways into the series, so that could potentially be a point against it. But if the character has an untapped "pool" of Haki in a manner of speaking, it could be okay. I think it's fine. The series itself takes some pretty drastic leaps in what people can do with their abilities in the name of creativity.
For example, many of Nami's moves, such as Mirage Tempo, make no sense whatsoever. "Rule of Cool" as they say. xD
So yeah, even if Haki may not be able to be used that way in the series or never is, I don't mind much. That said, the Kuja Pirates use Haki-infused arrows, so they can clearly use Haki on something other than themselves and shoot them rather long distances while retaining their power. So yeah...welcome aboard. xD
Anyway, another concern comes to mind now. We may need something a bit bigger to start the RP off with now. We have quite a few more characters joining at once than before. Giving them all something to do could be a bit of a problem at first.
