Quick question, just so I can clear some things up in my head. If he transfers someone's power to another person, and takes that person's power, how long will it be until that person gets their power back? Say Bobby has the power of lightning, and Sally has the power of ink. Ed takes Sally's power of ink, thus giving her some shitty paper power he had from some other girl. He then gives Bobby Sally's power of Ink, and takes the lightning. Is Sally forever stuck with the paper power, and will Bobby ever regain his lightning power?
They'd be stuck with it-unless Edward decided to go about transferring it back. That said, I'm going to be very careful about swapping around PC powers, and I'll always ask whoever owns the character if they're cool with it, first. I don't think it'd be much fun for anyone if I was switching around everybody's powers willy-nilly.
Tried signing up on the last Heroes shindig I saw on the site, but I never got around to finishing my sheet. Anyway, here's my guy. Also, I can't finish right now, I've got a lab report to write. I PROMISE I WILL FINISH THIS TIME!
Physical Description: Edward has longer, blond hair that doesn't quite reach his shoulders and is fairly unkempt, to the ire of his wife. His hair is usually allowed to fall freely, but sometimes he'll quickly pull it back into a ponytail. His generally rectangular shaped face is marked by a myriad of scars from many rather unsavory encounters from many years ago. He has a rough, poorly shaven beard that more often than not accentuates his frowns. He has smallish darker blue eyes and thick eyebrows, often joining his mouth in forming the expression of a sneer. His nose is rather sharp and of roughly medium size. His chin is dimpled and juts outward just the tiniest bit more than the average person's.
Though at the age of forty, he appears as though a man in his earlier thirties due to a cumulatively large amount of time spent holding onto healing abilities from various different evolved humans. Despite the many healing abilities he's had, his scars remain. His body holds many scars as well, including cuts, stabs, and burn tissue. His body is extremely well muscled, though not encumberingly so, his physique is quite impressive, if not Olympian level, but significantly better than usual for a man of his age.
In terms of his clothing he shoots for practical, casual, or both, oftentimes avoiding the suits and nicer clothing that members of the Institution tend to wear. On his own time he enjoys walking around shirtless, and even when wearing a shirt for his job, but will usually not wear Kevlar vests in spite of Institution policy, because he enjoys staring death in the face. He'll usually wear a t-shirt accompanied by a coat of some kind in which he stores his firearms. Typically he'll go with a longcoat. In terms of pants he usually wears jeans. Once or twice he's been known to wear suits if for very special occasions, and he's worn Riot Gear more than once.
Quote: "In a world without gold, we might've been heroes."-Edward Teach in AC4
Name: Edward Hannes
Age: 43
Gender: Male
Height: 6' 1"
Weight: 176 Lbs.
Ethnicity: Caucasian. Specifically, Irish with some German and Welsh sprinkled in.
Sexuality: Heterosexual. Married to Hisoka Hannes, his wife.
Religion: No Gods, No Masters
Occupation: Officially, owner and founded of the Camelot Institution for Higher Education based out of England. Unofficially, an expert bodyguard, assassin, and power broker.
Ability: Edward's ability enables him to swap powers with people. He can hold on to one ability at a time, and has full use over any ability he holds, and by making skin-to-skin contact with another person, he can steal their ability, or swap it out with the one he's holding. As an example, if Edward is currently holding pyrokinesis and touches a person with rapid cellular regeneration, the former regenerator will now be able to use pyrotechnic abilities, and Edward will be able to heal. Additionally, his ability to swap is nontransferable, meaning someone he swaps with cannot then go on to transfer their ability to someone else. If he currently holds no power and swaps with someone who has a power, he will steal that metahumans ability. If he has an ability and attempts to swap with a normal person, that person will get an ability, and Edward will lose the power he was holding. Finally, when swapping with a metahuman who has multiple abilities, unless Edward has a specific one in mind when he goes to touch a person, a random ability will be swapped. Additionally, Edward may, if he choses, impart additional abilities unto those who already have powers. If this way unclear, see the hider for further examples.
Let E# represent Edward, and let P# represent whoever he transfers with. Let the number beside the letter indicate how many powers each person in the equation has. If the number is 0, the person is powerless, if it is one, they have one power, so on and so forth. E0 + P1 ---> E1 and P0
E1 + P0 ---> E0 and P1
E1 + P1 ---> E1 and P1, this is simply a straight transfer.
The first phase of the plan was, of course, elimination of high value targets. If Xanatos could take the opposing queens and rooks and bishops off the board, it would be quite the easy match. Additionally, Xanatos had need of a.. Test. He'd been assured of the capability of the Robots and Androids and such, but he needed a... Test.
The perfect selection for this test would be one Caesar Paladin. Archer City's local dragon. Fast, powerful, and durable. A flying tank. It would be quite interesting, indeed, to see what his foot soldiers could do against such a creature. It hadn't been difficult to keep track of the dragon. It spent stupid amounts of time lounging around in clouds- Xanatos wondered if it knew what a satellite was. Hah, probably not. Stupid dragons. ---
The X-242 Assault Unit was a marvel of modern engineering. Co-built by the highups of the Mobius Club and the local mechromancer, Techmaturge. Virtually invulnerable to small caliber rounds, in most places, magnetic disruption arrays for dissipation of plasma-based attacks, EMP shielded. Xanatos had requested the EMP shielding specifically- he might need to drop a few power armored nutjobs or two with a quick EMP grenades. In terms of armament, Xanatos had gone the full nine yards. An arm that doubled as a grenade launcher, shoulder mounted Microwave Lasers, wrist mounted 30mm bolters, and a chest-mounted plasma beam. And that was before you counted all the equipment.
The X-242's first ever deployment was going well. It was en route to one of Archer City's many high rises, adjacent to the Sports Building. Incognito approach protocols had been activated- this model wore a trench coat and black hat to conceal it's more robotic features. Despite their expertise, the Mobius Club has not been able to get over the uncanny valley- but they had gotten the human gait down.
The robot easily pushed its way through the crowd. Simply by walking ahead, it was able to force its way through. As it walked, sensors on its eyes scanned. "SCANNING. James Schofield, 39, takes heart pills twice daily. NON-MATCH. SCANNING. Rebecca Wattson, 15, tumblr posts about hating her father. NON-MATCH. ADJUST SCAN HEIGHT. Subject on rooftop. SCANNING. Caesar Paladin, AGE UNKNOWN, can transform into a dragon. MATCH." X-242's shoulder cannons ascended silently. No one in the crowd seemed to noticed- they were transfixed by a man's crumbled form on the ground. The robot's cannons would feel like concentrated flamethrowers- eradicating flesh and bone through an impossibly fast boil.
Calvin was not absolutely positive what had set him on this path. Was it that time he got chased by a dog when he was three? No, no, that wasn't it. When Mr.Matthews failed him in math class? Perhaps? Calvin had swung by there a few months ago and incinerated him with his trusty particle beam. Man, the look on those kid's faces was hilarious! And those stupid heroes chalked it up to the Mobius Club! Calvin wasn't even part of the Mobius Club. Back then, anyway. Well, technically, Calvin wasn't part of The Mobius Club. Xanatos was.
Calvin liked being Xanatos. It was even a cool name. Kids like 'X's, right? Not that anyone really knew who he was, yet. Oh, give it time. They'd know. Eventually. Especially once he finished laying out the details. The folks at the club were always so helpful. They even helped him improve his particle beam. Mmmmm, particle beams are nice. Calvin could just watch those faces melt all day. Oh! And then there was the matter of minions. Every successful member of the club had some minions. They went all-out! Robo-minions, thugs, and people with powers alike! They even helped him attach particle beams to the robots.
And then there was the matter of a plan. If there was one thing Xanatos was good at, it was plans. Xanatos Gambits, specifically. It was his humble opinion that you were a moron to not have a Xanatos gambit up your sleeve. It's where he got the name, after all. He wondered if the heroes would catch onto his cleverness, when he made his debut. Probably not. Those cape wearing buffoons trended towards the lower end of the IQ spectrum anyway. Nevertheless, he would swipe the heroes aside, and Archer City would become the great jewel of his Empire... Gambit Empire, maybe...? Xanatos Empire? Aw, hell. The details can be worked out later.
Accepted. Like the good(and non-sexual) version of Poison Ivy.
Skye Ryder
Love the name, though, admittedly, it made me think her power would be superspeed. On that note, I wonder why there haven't been any speedster applications? Anyway, accepted.
When I read you sheet, I spent a few minutes trying to find out how much C4 costs so see if your character could actually afford explosive arrows(not that I wouldn't have accepted you if he technically couldn't), so, I'm probably on the NSA watch list, now. But, yeah, spent some time doing that, read a little more... And realized all the arrows magically appear anyway. In conclusion, I'm an idiot. But, anywho, accepted.

I'm down for the Bone Zone. Welcome aboard, accepted.
I'm thinking about making a second character
I'd ask you to wait until the RP actually gets started before you do that...?
Perhaps that's just his way of saying "Are we gonna do this or what?"
You don't need to post often, honestly. We just need the GM (you) to get us started. We're ready and waiting to go! This is isabel good problem to have, it means people are interested in this RP.
