How much wood WOULD a woodchuck chuck? If a woodchuck could chuck wood? Maybe that dork Sally selling seashells down by the sea shore knows...

Because asking the mods "gib power" is a much better bid than demonstrating a groundswell of supporters, right? #Wraith4Mod2K19

I'm majorly into this idea, but I have a couple ideas and I'm not sure which would slot best into the little group that's forming. I hope you guys can help me decide:

-Alien symbiote type, ala Venom or Carnage. It comes from a species who each get to 'dominate' a planet, by subjugating as many creatures as possible with its biomass. In this culture, each symbiote is given one planet for itself and itself alone, so the creature would view the other invaders as pretenders to its new throne/homeland, and feel compelled to destroy them.

-Super Scientist type, ala Doctor Octopus or more specifically, Doc Ock's time as the Superior Spiderman. Would probably tout himself as the "Supreme Scientist" of the world, and all known worlds, and think himself perfectly suited to the task of defeat The Outsiders, which those simpleton heroes would of course be incapable of. Would probably be a gadgeteer, but have one main gimmick(like how Ock has his arms as his 'main thing'.)

-Cowboy type guy, largely based on McCree and Reaper from Overwatch, as well as Bullseye from Marvel Comics and Vigilante from DC Comics. Pistolero mercenary who was mostly in it for kicks and the cash. A little bit of a narcissist, and doesn't really think he can die. He was just doing it for the money and isn't really interested in anyone but himself, his wife, and his son. He thought he was living the good life -- plenty of money, plenty of time with his family, and he'd always gets sprung from the joint by his next employer. That is, until the Outsiders attacked.

-Someone from a future where The Outsiders won and humanity well and truly lost. To this character, that event is well in the past, and they are far descended from one of the era's Great Heroes. They figured they could travel back in time, quickly take over to better shore up the planet's defenses. They were quickly defeated by the planets heroes and sent to prison. They are now desperately trying to gather a team to put an end to the Outsiders.

I have a few more ideas rolling around in case none of these would really work, but these are the main ones I'm considering. Which would you all like to see most?
Hope it's cool to post a WIP. This seems like a cool idea.

@Queen RaidneFinished up my sheet. I get that it probably reads a bit powerful, but Halo's weapons are quite weak for most Sci-Fi settings.

Would anyone be willing to do a collab post with me? Because right now Midnighter is quite stuck in Vlatava. I was thinking that perhaps the League had sent someone in to keep an eye on him(despite the fact that it was supposed to be his "solo" mission), that ends up saving him from Vertigo. Worse comes to worse I can find some way to pull him out of there, but I think it'd feel a little contrived.
@Raddum Yeah, that’s totally fair. To be honest with you, half the reason I cancelled it was because my vision for this was a little... Unclear. I figured I should step back and reevaluate what I’d want out of an Unstoppables series. I’m certainly not going for an Avengers type thing — the closest stylistic contemporary I can think of is Kickass. When I mentioned “random raiders” originally, I really meant just random raiders NPCs basically. I totally imagine our characters getting killed by Raider Bosses or even particularlly large dogs. Like getting killed by Cook Cook instead of Raider Fiend #27. That said, we’d probably end up knee deep in enough raiders that someone would die that way eventually.

@AngelofOctober Fair, but that’s just not really the sort of character I’m looking for in this ensemble. I guess the sort of vibe I’m going for is to have a cast that looks like they could leap off the Wasteland-tinged Unstoppables pages. You could certainly strike this kind of vibe by writing a character like the Antagonizer, or someone whose Hubris Comics backstory is of a villain.
@Thecrash20 The sheet has been up for near a week, and we’ve already had 2/7 players dropout, leaving five. 3/5 then didn’t post anything at all, and to my mind had just quietly dropped it before we’d properly gotten off the ground. I’ll remove cancelled from the title but we really can’t get going for what I have planned without ~7 people.

@Burning Kitty I can’t abide by a Courser. In RP, the plan is for them to be ludicriously powerful enemies that will take a large portion of the team to take down. Sorry.

@AngelofOctober Your character really isn’t very “on-theme” with the idea of The Unstoppables. He seems like less of a superhero and more or a raider-type.
It's really looking like the interest in this has died down, so I think I'm going to shutter it for now. Thanks for your interest, everyone, if I start it again sometime I'll get in touch.
@AngelofOctoberWell, I mean, they're wearing something that isn't street clothes or wandering gear, ya dig? Like if your guy has a badass suit of Power Armor and that's his 'costume' that's cool. Basically, your characters should have some assembly of clothing that they gear up in when it's Superheroing time that is distinctive from what might be considered civilian wear. Unless they're in "Superhero Mode" all the time I guess, like how Aquaman or Namor are
<Snipped quote by DocTachyon>Shoot!!!!!!

I was going to make my character -400 years old.

Well, I mean, it's one thing if they're still spry. I'd just rather not have Old Men hobbling around or have toddlers being used as bowling balls.
Here's the sheet! @Mara@AngelofOctober@Raddum@Burning Kitty@Thecrash20@Cairo@Scrub Mage

When the actual OOC goes up I might ask for some minor tweaks to some sheets to better suit the story and what not.

In terms of what sorts of characters I'm expecting:

-Please try to keep your skill sets and abilities varied. We can't all be sneaky sniper types.
-Keep your personalities varied, too. Not everyone can be the Genius, Cap-Billionaire, Playboy Philanthropist that doesn't play well with others.
-We are all costumed heroes. If you're gonna fight a war, you've got to wear a uniform!
-We're going with the Institute ending of Fallout 4, and as mentioned in the OP, this takes place in the Commonwealth.
-I might add more guidelines later, but I really just want to get this sheet up.
