@Weird Tales Dunno if I'd call Negi's hair long, but whatever suits you. He's not wearing any armor right now, just dressed casually. That's not your fault though, since I never actually made that clear in any of my posts, so sorry about that.
So where is everyone? It seems like people are still fighting Saibamen, but my intention was for those fights to be wrapped in time for Negi to show up and address everyone. So what gives, here?
Personality: Date often comes across as rough and vulgar, usually using a gruff tone and not bothering to address people with proper honorifics. On top of this, he has a "shoot first, ask questions later" attitude that can and often does get him into hot water. He seems to have a chip on his shoulder, some sort of anger or frustration at the world with no clear target in mind. He's also quite infamous for having a temper and overall dislike of having to explain or justify himself to anyone. The rest of the world tends to see him as a punk or delinquent, while he merely sees himself as a rebel of sorts. Finally, he's tenacious, willing to keep doggedly pursuing a goal or rival until he is incapable of doing so any longer.
But don't let that vulgar exterior fool you. Date is not at all a bad person, quite the opposite in fact. He's stubbornly loyal to anyone he considers a friend, often times to a fault. He hates corruption of all types, but none more than those who use their power to abuse kids or young adults. In fact, Date has a weakness for kids, as they are usually the one group he shows any outward kindness or generosity to, and in fact will chase down anyone who victimizes them to the ends of the Earth in order to punish them.
Bio: Date was a regular kid growing up. He did stupid kid things, occasionally took part in sports or even rough housing with other boys. It really wasn't until his second year of High School that things started going downhill. His parents had just died in a car accident, and Date himself had to move to another city in order to live with his Uncle. This also meant transferring to a different school, but this wasn't an ordinary school. Shujo Academy was known for its top honor students, be they athletic or academic. It was also known for having an extremely strict code of conduct and a zero-tolerance policy. But still, things were fine for the first couple of months. But Date had one particular teacher - a Math Teacher named Okawa who seemed to be the worst of the faculty. He had his own draconian rules for the classroom on top of Shujo's already strict rules, and he also a habit of holding grudges and singling out students he disliked. Date would later learn that there was a bit of bad blood between Okawa and his Uncle, something about a repair job on Okawa's car and the teacher accusing Date's Uncle of charging an unfair price. Regardless, Okawa decided to take his grudge out on Date.
Date tried shrugging it all off at first. He would just grit his teeth and endure the Math class every day, knowing that he would only have to deal with Okawa for a brief period each day. But then Okawa started singling out people Date had made friends with. He would give them a hard time just for the "crime" of associating with Date Kazuma. That, Date wouldn't abide. Finally at a boiling point, Date confronted Okawa directly to get him to stop, but to no avail. Eventually Date just lost his temper and - before he could process it, he took a swing at the teacher and knocked him to floor, bloodying his nose. With such an outburst and Okawa's nasty grudge, it wasn't hard for him to have Date expelled. As if that weren't enough, Okawa also pressed charges and before he knew it, Date was slapped with a criminal record that still haunts him even now. He couldn't find a single school willing to enroll him, and so he had no choice but to drop out entirely and simply find a job. But even that proved difficult, as no prospective employer was interested in hiring a drop out with a criminal record. Thankfully, Date's Uncle never once doubted his innocence and continued to give him a home and even let him work for him in his repair garage part time.
Date was at a low point in his life. There was only one person in the world who still believed in him, and he had zero other options or alternatives. EDEN was a welcome escape, and there Date thrived at Digimon Battles as they made for a useful outlet to vent his anger and frustration. But even that wasn't entirely satisfying. Date wanted to actually do something with his life, but how could he when he had that criminal record hanging over his head thanks that bastard Okawa? And then... an invitation to Jormungundr appeared in his inbox.
Sorry for the delay, but hopefully we'll get things back on track. Feel free to finish off your Saibamen opponents before Negi shows to talk you. Same for you, @Chev, feel free to have Tabaga kill the Saibamen she's currently fighting before she hears Negi and Jagen's communication. And for the record, Tabaga almost assuredly knows who Jagen is. He was once the King's top ranked General before the destruction of the planet, so it's a no brainer that Tabaga knows him.
The two Saibamen had no time to process what was happening. Their opponent charged into them with a Battle Power they couldn't hope to match. The stranger landed a mighty punch across one of the Saibaman's face, knocking the head clean off for an immediate kill. But that was only just before he whirled around and slammed a Ki blast into the face of the second Saibaman, blast its head off and killing it as well. With both his opponents down, and remaining Saibamen appearing to be handled by the intervening Earthlings, the stranger took off back into a City for a short distance. He found he what he was looking for, a bar named The Jasmine Glass, and quickly hurried through the back door.
"It should be... here!" he rifled through a bag behind the counter, pulling out a metallic device with a sky blue lens that he fit over his right ear and eye. His old Scouter. If there were Saiyans on this planet, then the easiest way to determine their numbers and location would with this device. Of course, it would also be like lighting up a flare to signal the other Saiyans of his whereabouts, but right now that wasn't important. Reached up to activate the device when...
"There you are, Negi! Where the hell have you been?" the familiar feminine voice said. It was Jasmine, owner of the bar. Her father was the one who originally opened the place and named his daughter after it, thought Jasmine often preferred to go by Jazz for short. She looked plenty mad, almost appearing to have an energy aura that made her short greenish hair stand up and seemingly having a vein popping out on her forehead, "I sent you on a grocery run ages ago, I thought those green monsters got you! Hey... what's that on your face?"
The stranger, Negi, had no time for long explanations, "I know who sent those monsters, and I'm going to go stop them." he moved to leave but felt a hand yanking him back by an arm.
"Oh no, you're not skipping town on me! I want an explanation!"
Negi felt himself getting frustrated, enough that forced himself free of her grip, "There's no time, Jazz! I'll... I'll explain it all if I... when I come back. You're going to start learning things about me, bad things, and some of them are going to be true. But... I never meant for this to happen." he didn't have time for anything else before he rushed out and flew back into the sky. Jazz knew he wasn't entirely human, she'd accidentally caught a glimpse of his tail once, plus she already had a vague idea that he was avoiding someone. But she didn't know anything else beyond that.
One he was back up in the sky he finally activated his Scouter. It picked up the signals of four other Scouters, so there couldn't be any more Saiyans than that. But those Saibamen had been well trained, and only one Saiyan used them to such effect. Negi pressed the button to begin transmitting so that all the other Saiyans with Scouters could hear, "Jagen, I know you're on this planet! If you're here to kill me, then you should have come yourself."
Meanwhile, on the Archipelago, Korun was getting impatient, "Who cares about the damn Saibamen?" he said to response to Po, "I just want to know when I get to beat the crap out of that punk "Prince" of ours!" as for Jagen, he remained silent for a moment, taking a short breath and then speaking.
"It's Negi, it can't be anyone else. Chances are those Saibamen are already dead." he didn't sound very bothered, though, Saibamen were comparable to robots or tools, them being lost wasn't exactly a devastating blow. Almost as if to confirm his suspicions, all three Scouters simultaneously detected the activation of an additional Scouter. Even Tabaga, off on her own would also detect the fourth Scouter. And all the Saiyans would hear the familiar voice of Prince Negi transmitting to them and calling out Jagen in particular. Jagen pressed the button to return transmission, "Letting me see your location so soon? You're getting sloppy, Your Highness. But very well, come to us then we will finish this."
"Hehehehe..." Korun chuckled, "...That's right, come to us little Prince."
"If that's what you want, Jagen." said Negi, still transmitting to all the Saiyans, "I'll defeat you all, and my brother will be next!"
"You're only one Saiyan, Your Highness." Jagen, never losing his cool, "There are limits to what even an Elite like yourself can do alone. Do you really think you have the strength to win this fight?"
Negi cut off the transmission and then swore under his breath, "He's probably right... I can't do this all on my own." then he remembered there were several Earthlings that were helping to fight the Saibamen in East City. It was his only shot, so Negi flew in search of those Earthlings. Hopefully they had finished off the remaining Saibamen by now. When he did eventually find them, Negi approached and without any pause addressed each of them.
"I know who sent those monsters, and I plan to go stop them. If you think you can help, then feel free to follow me." he would leave before waiting for an answer. Either they would follow him or they wouldn't, that wasn't a decision he could make for them.
Bio: Very little is actually known about Cain, what precious little records that exist amounts to him having been in the service of Renovation and its Emperor since before Michael officially inherited the throne. Anything of his past before his service in Renovation is completely shrouded in mystery. Whether Cain is unable or unwilling to share is not known, and even the Emperor and Empress have had little success in discovering his innermost secrets. But Cain has proven a loyal and valuable asset to Renovation, so he is still trusted regardless of his status as an enigmatic figure. Much of what Renovation has learned about Heartless and Nobodies came in part from Cain, who seemed to have such an intimate knowledge of the subjects that proved invaluable to the research of men like Hakim and even of Leo at one point.
Age: ??
Skills: Mostly kept classified, but suffice it to say Cain has often been described as "The Emperor's secret weapon". He rarely enters the fray, preferring to stay behind the scenes, but when he does decide to fight...
Cain's strength and agility almost seem beyond human capability, leading many to incorrectly assume that he must be a Nobody, however that is not the case. He is also not one of the Keyblade's chosen, so whatever strength and power he wields is entirely his own, coming from years of practice and experience. He seems to possess an array of the highest tiers of water, fire, ice, and thunder magic imaginable in addition to a frightening mastery of Darkness, namely The Corridors. And while Cain does not have the power to summon Heartless, he does still have another mysterious breed of creature at his beckoned call. They are similar to Heartless, but are born from negative emotions and feed on them to grow more powerful, Cain calls them the Unversed.
Personality: Cain is shadowy enigma, plain and simple. He is cold, calculating and very much ruthless when he needs to be. He also has an infamous reputation for keeping his cards close to chest, often keeping secrets even from the Emperor himself if doing so serves a more strategically valuable purpose.
Appearance
Bio: Abel's story is as shrouded as his face is underneath the helmet. According to him, he is simply a warrior in search of a cause to fight for and nothing more. And with his seemingly arrogant personality, it seemed as if no one except a sinister man like Leo would see any potential in him. Of course, Leo was quick to realize that Abel's Heart curiously possessed not even the faintest trace of Darkness. This proved both intriguing and frustrating. Intriguing because supposedly only the Princesses of Heart could possibly possess a Heart devoid of Darkness, but frustrating because that meant Abel possessed no Darkness he could exploit in order to use him as a vessel. Still, Abel's sheer skill in battle coupled with his rather unique status could still make him a potentially useful addition to Leo's forces. As for Abel himself, he cared not about the sinister nature of Leo's plan. But a man actively trying to remake the entire multiverse in his own image? That sounded like quite the "entertaining" cause to fight for.
Age: ??
Skills: Abel's weapon of choice is to conjure an ethereal spear he sometimes refers to as The Light of Judgement. In truth he can actually summon a seemingly endless number of spears, most of which he can send flying at his opponents as a ranged attacked. He also seems to be able to control where he summons the spears from, resulting in a common tactic involving summoning a great number of them from the ground at his enemy's feet like a spike trap. He also occasionally uses high tier elemental magic but prefers sticking with physical combat whenever possible apart from relying on Reflect spells to render enemy spells ineffective. Having no Darkness also means he is incapable of using Corridors of Darkness on his own, instead having to rely on someone else to conjure one for him. He's also been known to use Light-aligned techniques such as Ragnarok and Ars Arcanum, as well as holy-elemental magics such as Faith and Sacrifice.
Personality: Abel doesn't talk much but is a rather blunt individual when he does. He makes little to no effort to spare someone's feelings, and coupled with a tendency to occasionally criticize his opponent's skills when fighting them, he ends up coming across as caustic and even somewhat arrogant. The truth is, he critiques his enemy's skill because he wants them to give him a greater challenge.
"Shinobi (忍) is written with blade (刃) and heart (心)!"
Name: Kagura Ryuzaki
Appearance
Bio: Originally born in the mountainous Tohoku region in Misawa, Aomori. Kagura Ryuzaki never knew his parents and was raised for a time in a series of foster homes, but none of them ever truly felt like home. Instead the young boy always felt like an unwanted guest, not unwelcomed but never truly accepted either. Eventually he simply ran away and lived for two years on the streets, having left Misawa and managed to wander into Sendai, the largest city in Tohoku. This was a period Ryuzaki has no pride for. The young 12 year old had to break a few laws to keep himself from starving to death, namely stealing and shoplifting, or even occasional pickpocketing. But this was also to be the place where his story could truly begin.
On a certain day, Ryuzaki ran his usual scam in order to pick the pockets of a seemingly harmless old man. What the boy didn't know, was that his target was in fact a former master of ninjutsu who caught him easily. Any other person would turned the boy in, but instead the old man asked him a simple question, "Are you hungry?" the man could tell instantly that his would-be culprit had no mind for greed and rather than hand him over to the authorities the man instead invited the boy to have a meal at his home. Once there, the curious Ryuzaki noticed a second building other than the house, but the man kept quiet about its nature. After the meal, the man asked the boy if he had a place to sleep and so offered him a guest room for the night. During the night, Ryuzaki was overtaken by curiosity and snuck out to see what was in the other building. Before he could, shadow creatures emerged from the darkness and attacked. They seemed like the demons from the old fairytales, and the boy was naturally afraid. But before one could lung at him, there was a flash of light and Ryuzaki found a weapon in his hand to defend with. Shortly after the man emerged from the house with a katana and skillfully dispatched the creatures. But he was most surprised by the weapon Ryuzaki held.
"Do you know what it is you carry?" the man asked, a smile beginning to form on his lips. Ryuzaki did not know all the stories concerning the First Ninja, but the man was happy to tell the tale. He formally introduced himself as Shimata Mori. Ryuzaki learned that Mori was one of the last descendants of the Iga, one the 12 Great Ninja Clans that could trace its origin to the First Ninja. While the majority of the 12 Clans ceased their practice of Ninjutsu upon the passing of the new law, the Iga defied the new law and practiced in secret. They believed that the demon threat could still return again, and that at least one of the 12 Clans needed to still be ready to face them. But in all his years and all the history that he had read, Mori had never heard of anyone who could summon the weapon of light to their hands, something almost every ninja believed was either a made up story or something only the First Ninja was capable of. He offered a home to Ryuzaki and vowed to teach him how to use the weapon in his hands, and that as a ninja there would be no goal out of his reach. The rest, as it were, was history.
Ryuzaki's preteen and teen years was spent under the tutelage of Master Mori, who trained Ryuzaki in art of ninja, of stealth, of espionage, and a number of skills. When Ryuzaki wasn't training his body, he studying the scrolls to train his mind and learn the history of the very skills and techniques he was trying to master. It was hard work, but also very fulfilling, and it changed Ryuzaki for the better. He found he no longer thought only of himself, instead now having a kind Mentor whom he wished to do right by, as the man was the closest thing to family that Ryuzaki had ever had. But if there was one lesson that left a resounding impression on the youth, it was Mori's very first lesson: "Shinobi is written with blade and heart." For the longest time Ryuzaki could not understand the meaning of the lesson, but Mori ensured him that he would come to understand it in time.
When Ryuzaki's training was nearing completion, tragedy struck. Ryuzaki was not Mori's first student, that distinction went to a man named Hiroshi Fuwa. Fuwa had become ambitious as his training progressed, and began to harbor the belief that Ninjas should be the true masters of the world and not bow down to a government that feared him. His heart grew cold, and invited Darkness in to corrupt him even further. He had returned to the home of his former master, now the leader of a shadow organization known as the Blades. He had been teaching his followers the ninjutsu he had learned from Mori, but demanded that Mori teach him the final techniques that he had previously denied him. Mori refused, and violence broke out. Fuwa and his followers attacked, and Ryuzaki and his master were outnumbered. But they did not deter, and managed to hold their ground. But something in Fuwa's eyes changed, and his whole body suddenly seemed to permeate with Darkness. He attacked again, this time with a level of strength and agility that far surpassed human limits, and mortally wounded Mori. Angered, Ryuzaki lashed out, summoning his Keyblade despite it being Mori's wish for him to keep the weapon secret. But even with the weapon, he was no match at all for Fuwa who flung him aside without much effort. Still, he was intrigued by the appearance of the Keyblade and even... fearful in a sense and decided to retreat, declaring that Hiroshi Fuwa was dead, and that Orichimaru had been born in his place.
Ryuzaki struggled to move to his master's side. Mori, whose life was beginning to fade, offered a proud smile and placed his hand on Ryuzaki's cheek, "Blade and Heart... my son." And then his life left him.
Age: 23
Skills: Despite its illegality, Ryuzaki is trained in the art of Ninjutsu. He is skilled at remaining invisible to his enemies and only showing himself when he strikes. Thanks to previous interactions with Moogles, he can also incorporate elemental magic into his Ninjutsu as well, Wind and Ice seem to be favorites of his to use.
Sliding Ice Strike (user casts a blizzard spell along the ground and then uses the slick ground to quickly advance into a strike)
Blade of Biting Cold (the user's blade becomes coated in ice and razor sharp wind to enhance their strikes for a short period)
Ice Stars (user throws razor sharp shuriken of crystal-like ice that can either remain solid or shatter into shrapnel upon impact)
Tailwind Dance (uses Aero magic to create tailwinds to boost jumping, slow and control their falls, or even jump again in midair)
Hailstorm (combines the use of Tailwind Dance and Ice Stars to attack with volleys of projectiles from the air)
Personality: A true ninja is a master of his blade and of his heart. At least that was what Ryuzaki was taught, and he does his best to embody that philosophy as much as he can. Before his training, Ryuzaki was alone, and focused only on ensuring his own survival, even when that meant stealing in order to eat. But when he became a ninja, Ryuzaki left that part of himself in the past, and as he puts it, opened his heart to caring for the plight of others. He is a young man who will think nothing of giving his share of rations to someone else who is hungrier than himself, a far cry from the thieving urchin he once was as a boy. To his enemies, however, Ryuzaki is a symbol to be feared, an assassin who strikes from the shadows and just as quickly vanishes... without a trace. It's a balancing act, to be sure, and one that Ryuzaki may not always succeed at pulling off. But nevertheless, that is the kind of man he endeavors to be.
Summary of History: A seemingly normal world, or at least it was. In 12th century Japan, an unnamed young man made his mark on history by displaying the ability to summon a mysterious blade to his hands. This gave him an uncanny talent for sneaking into places where weapons were prohibited and then summoning his weapon in order to strike a target down while their guard was lowered. The weapons also proved to be the only thing capable of killing the many demons and yokai that plagued the land during this era. This young man came to be known as the First Ninja. His skill became widely known and rumored across the Feudal lands, overtime time the First Ninja found himself in the company of twelve men and women who sought to learn what he knew. Desiring to pass on his knowledge, the First Ninja taught these 12 disciples all he could, and while none of them were ever able to summon a blade to their hands, they each became formidable assassins in their own right. As time went on, the 12 grew old and passed on their knowledge to disciples of their own, and they as well. This was how the 12 Great Ninja Clans were formed. Each utilizing techniques and philosophies developed over the generations but each tracing their origins back to the same man: The First Ninja. During the infamous Warring States Era, the demons thought to have been slayed by The First Ninja began to reemerge, led by a mighty serpent demon known as Orochi, the Demon Lord. But the Great Ninja clans had been training for this, and so they fought the demons to the best of their ability, even managing to banish them back to the nether realm they emerged from when killing them proved impossible. More time passed, and in the modern day the world no longer seems to need Ninja or Samurai of any sort. Tales of the demons had long since faded into legend. During the Meiji Restoration, the 12 Great Ninja Clans fought among themselves in what they would later call the Great Ninja War, fought in secret and in the shadows. Secret though it was, the war had the unintended side effect of nearly burning Kyoto to the ground. Ever since then, the government ordered the dissolution of the 12 Great Clans, and the practice of ninjutsu became outlawed all across the country and would remain so to this day. But there are rumors spreading over the internet of a Shadow Organization said to be comprised of Ninja and of those who descended from Ninja, using their skills not to protect the world but instead for power and selfish gain, at the center of it is a shadowy man who answers to the name Orochimaru.
Important Nations: The 12 Great Ninja Clans descend from the original 12 Disciples of the First Ninja. Each one became highly specialized in a specific fighting style or the use of specific weapons or tools, but each one traced their origins back to the First Ninja. Demons once plagued the land in ancient times, until the First Ninja was able to hunt down and permanently kill many of them using his legendary weapon of light. He didn't kill them all, though, and the 12 Great Clans that he inspired continued to hunt them in secret until their eventual dissolution by the government during the mid-19th century. The Demons were led during the Warring States Era by a serpent being called Orochi. In the modern day, the 12 Clans have been dissolved and the practice of Ninjutsu has been largely outlawed by the government. But there exists a Shadow Organization consisting of operatives that are rumored to be Ninja, led by a mysterious man named Orochimaru.
Overall Technology Level: Largely the same as the real world. Ninjutsu techniques tend to range on the fantastical, especially thanks to the introduction of Moogles to the world sometime during the Warring States Era.
