Adding to that, unless you are exhibiting life threatening symptoms (unable to breathe, etc) go to a rapid test site in your area than going to the ER. Local ERs are swamped and overwhelmed here.

As someone who has been stabbed in the past knives are not kinky
A little thematic music while folks are working on sheets and getting ideas together. I'll make a sheet as well to showcase exactly what I'm looking for in a little bit. Right now I've got to do distance-work junk.
The Prescott’s are known for being fiscally responsible, intelligent, upstanding citizens of Everbrook. Abbie Prescott is an anomaly if one would expect such things from the daughter of James Prescott and Laura Lee Sparrow.
Abigail isn’t the greatest of students, not particularly book smart, nor is she particularly the model daughter of such a family. The only thing in common she holds with her father’s family is being fiscally responsible, though she sort of has to be considering the fact that she is not allowed great privilege despite being from a prestigious family. She has no credit card, no allowance, and is expected to be “self-determined”; to earn everything that she wants. It’s easy to be fiscally responsible when you are the only girl on Everbrook Circle without expendable income. In fact, the only thing she has is a car and that was only because her Sweet Sixteen allowed her to finally get one. She didn’t even think she was getting one until her mother put the keys in her hand.
She hates it. She hates all of it. But it’s life.
Speaking of her manners, Abbie isn’t exactly mean, but she does channel her frustrations in a less than tactful manner. She’s sarcastic, often at other’s expenses. She thinks she has it just as bad as kids from Courtland Street, even if it’s not exactly comparable. She’s rather self-centered and when she gets mad she seems to make everything out to be much worse than it is. Her own cousin, Samuel, thinks she’s full of hot air. For those that know Abbie they probably wouldn’t contest that much.
That said, Abbie isn’t a sociopath or even a “Queen Bee” type. She certainly frames herself to be an alpha, but a lot of that seems to be more present on the basketball court rather than in casual conversation. Whereas her family prefers social niceties, Abbie doesn’t. In fact, Abbie’s honest demeanor can be oft mistaken for antagonistic japes when she is merely being blunt. Though sometimes it would help if she could read the room, or measure her responses better. Of all the kids born from the families on Everbrook Circle, one could probably do worse than Abigail “Abbie” Prescott. That much is for sure. At least she won't brag about having more money than you, after all.
Family History/Backstory
The Prescott Family is one of the oldest families in the city of Everbrook.
Abigail, Abbie to anyone that knows her, has had a motor since she was old enough to walk. Despite only growing to be five-foot-three she has shown an affinity for competition and a flair for the dramatic. Every single girls’ basketball team in Everbrook has highlighted her talents at the guard position. Still, the spotlight hasn’t made her happy enough. She wants to be free of Everbrook and while she has the prestige that a member of the Prescott Family deserves, she lacks the opportunity. In over nine generations not a single Prescott has left Everbrook. Some who wanted to never got the chance to.
But family secrets are elusive, flying under Abbie’s radar with relative ease. She’s not particularly inquisitive due to her hyper-focused and self-centered nature. Her Sweet Sixteen wasn’t too long ago and the idea of a collegiate basketball career has not yet crossed her mind. Right now she’s hoping to drag Everbrook’s sorry excuse for a girls’ basketball program to a State and National Championship. However, she might not get that chance. The upcoming summer is strange and full of misfortune. She had been called up to a basketball camp… but her invitation was canceled last minute when the camp was canceled. Alternatively, she decide she would spend her summer with her mother’s side of the family in another state, but when she tried to do that her grandmother got too sick to warrant the visit. When she tried to drive out of Everbrook to see her on her own initiative the only way out was blocked off by a traffic accident on six different occasions.
What the hell was going on?
Other Info
TBD
The character sheet is lookin’ good! Make sure to include some details about the family as well: parents, siblings and etc.
Hey, I’ve got a few questions and hoping you could clarify a bit.
On the top it says “Your Name”, does that mean characters name or our name? I am just asking as if the name section below says the name goes here. I just want to make sure I am handling the profile correctly. I also debated if it was like for nicknames up top or if we wanted to put fancy writing of the characters name but added the down below to make sure we all can read it? Please advise.
My other question is about the personality section, is it alright to list positive and negative traits or are you looking for a few paragraphs that show the different aspects of their personality?
Thank you for your time! :)
The characters name. You can also include nicknames there as well. The fancy writing will be the very first “your name” above your picture. You can use the characters nickname there if you’d like
For personality you can list the trait and give a short (1 sentence) description of what that means. For example,
Bookworm: Jeff has always been a voracious reader, preferring books over most media, earning him few friends.
Everbrook is a small Maine town, located about an hour away from Portland. A town with a lot of history and a lot of tradition, and is, a town with dark secrets, where the ghosts of the past still creep in the walls: A library that was once the old town courthouse, where three women were hanged on the charges of devil worship. The local high school where the prom king and queen have died in a car accident every year for the past 15 years. The theater which on rainy Sundays plays films that should not exist. Besides its bloody history which goes back to its founding in 1735, the town itself has always prided itself on being very safe. There's almost no violent crime. The only major deaths tend to all fall together, usually in 10-year increments. 1990, 2000, 2010, all had a high record of runaways, accidental deaths, and suicides. But it's a safe town to raise a family in.
Summer has finally arrived. Quarantine in the state is lifted. And the newest anomaly in the town is this: you and several other teenagers are unable to leave the town. You cannot leave. Something is holding you here.
You are a teenager living in Everbrook, ages ranging from 15-19. You get around by borrowing the family station wagon, riding your bike, or walking. You might work at the local supermarket, an intern at the library, or cut grass. The world is supposed to feel like a town from the 80s era of films like ET, The Goonies, or newer shows like Stranger Things. The weird thing is, the time period is meant to be somewhat modern. The town is meant to feel anachronistic, and that is the first hint that something is off about the town.
The town itself is full of creepy places that seem to exude anxiety, and even worse, something is keeping the main characters from leaving during the summer. The roads get blocked off if they try to drive to the next town, family vacations are mysteriously canceled, or university tours keep getting rescheduled. That leads to the driving force of the band of misfits to band together, uncover the secret of the town and free themselves from whatever hell is waiting for them.
And no, it's not a clown.
The story will follow a cast of 10 teenagers, who may be the next victims of some dark curse.
Formerly the Everbook Courthouse, this centuries-old building seems to date back to the founding of the town. The most famous story is that the library is haunted by the Denton Sisters, three women who were hanged for consorting with demons. Even stranger is the date they were hanged: 1825; hundreds of years after the practice of "witch trials" and the sort had ended.
Workers at the library commonly speak about feeling like they being watched, and strange occurrences happening after 6 PM when the library closes.
Everbrook High School is fairly normal. Everyone acts normal; at least in the normal way, you'd expect teenagers to be. The only issue is this: Prom is constantly canceled. Why? Well, over the past 15 years, every year they've held a prom, the King and Queen have mysteriously died on Prom Night after being crowned. Usually in an automobile accident. Due to quarantine across the nation being lifted, the school has decided to hold the prom again. Even with it happening in June, will the curse continue?
The Diamond Theater is a staple of Everbrook. Two screens, shitty quality, and cheap popcorn. A place most kids go to make out in the back of the theater. But there's an odd rumor that on certain days, you can get a ticket for a special show which seems to act as a portent for disaster.
Turner Street: The quintessential suburban middle class street. Houses range from one-story ranches to two-story townhomes. The parents here tend to work for the local government or larger industry.
Applen Avenue: Living near the main street of the town, these houses tend to be a bit shabbier than those on Turner. Single-family homes, apartments, and such are here. Living here most likely means you’re a latchkey kid, and you have all the excitement of riding your bike around the main street to look forward to after school.
Courtland Street: The low-income part of town. Shabby shotgun houses, trailers, and such live here. If you’re a Courtland Kid, you’re definitely looked down on at school. You wear hand-me down clothes and you probably only have one parent and multiple siblings. You want a car? Good luck even having a bike.
Everbrook Circle: The rich part of town. Large 5 bedroom houses, multiple cars, and the always coveted at summer pools. Only the most well-to-do live here. The mayor’s family, the plant owner, and old money families live here. You definitely got a car for your sweet sixteen.
Cider Park is located near the center of town, across from St. Peter's Church, the oldest building in Everbrook. The park is open from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, but teenagers have always hung out after hours. The park is also infamous, as the 10 suicide victims of 2010 were all found in the deeper woods of the park.
The oldest building in Everbrook, dating back to the city's founding in 1735. The church has been renovated multiple times and is a central part of the community (at least the religious side of it).
Maine has mines! An old silver mine turned tourist destination, spelunkers have explored the place since it officially closed in 1940, after 10 miners were found dead during a gas leak. The main chambers are open to the public, but deeper into the mines has been cordoned off for public safety.
The local police station, whose architecture dates back to the 1910's. The town's small police force still works out of the old building. For anything more important than a drunk tank, convicts would have to be transferred to the county jail 30 miles away in Pembrooke.
The local community college in the area rests on the mountainous side of the city limits, near the highway, and is the local community college for Everbrook and the surrounding communities. Formerly a private school in the late 1800s, it was renovated and turned into the local community college in 1977. Offering courses in nursing, accounting, education, and public administration, it is a far cry from any of the good universities in the larger cities. Still, it is home to Radio Everbrook, the local college radio station that plays the good hits.
The mill has been a part of the town since 1736, making it the oldest industry standing in Everbrook. Still run by the Prescott Family, the oldest kind of old money around. If there's one place that exudes negative energy, it's the Mill. The only time it was closed was in 1960, when 10 workers were killed in an accident.
The old coastal lighthouse on the eastern edge of the city limits. It sports rocky beaches and a cold atmosphere.
The Holbrook Mill was a large part of the town industry for sixty years before it closed in 1995. It's located on the edge of Courtland Street, as it was where many of the residents of the street worked in the '90s.
The old hunting lodge which closed in the '80s after the head of the Raeburn family was found alongside 7 other friends, all dead inside of the sitting room. It has been abandoned since.
1. Please try to be mindful about posting in the RP. If something comes up and you find yourself unable to post, let the others and myself know beforehand so we can plan accordingly.
2. Respect the other writers and characters. Don’t try to take centerstage with your character. This is a group story and everyone contributes to the plot.
3. If you have a twist in mind, work it out with me first, please. As GM I want to make sure the story makes thematic sense and is enjoyable for the entire cast. The reason why I ask so much from the character sheets is to help shape the story around these characters.
