Current Graduation has happened - I am no longer a teacher. Won't have to work 12 hour days + weekends anymore, so maybe I'll actually have enough time for hobbies.

I sound like a broken record, but only 2 months left till I'm done teaching. Not sure what's next, but it feels like anything would pay more and be less stressful lol

Teacher update: I feel like a villain from a cartoon. The laughter of teenagers gives me migraines, and I no longer feel guilt when giving bad grades to kids that sleep through my lessons.

A historical play was not really the best thing to go to, but Kenji really didn't mind that much. After all, this was his first field trip. His parents were really starting to go easy on him. Maybe they realized that he was starting to become to old for them to breath down his neck anymore. Not that he would want to get on their bad sides. As Kenji was lost in thought, he barely noticed the bus turn onto the thin mountain pass. Many of the other students moved away from their window seats. Considering the proximity the bus was to the edge, it was to be expected. Luckily, Kenji didn't have to share space with anyone as he moved to the other side of his seat. He was sitting alone... like always. The bus bumped on the road. Kenji couldn't react when he heard a person scream. Blinding whiteness... And then, nothing.

Kenji opened his eyes in a room.

The blinding light made it nearly impossible to focus on the voice, and a slip of paper appeared in his hands.

Kenji found himself in a forest, the trees overhead nearly engulfing the sun entirely. The voice of the man rung out, this time far more clearly. South... Considering the fact that the sky was obscured by leaves, that would definitely be a problem. No... That didn't matter.

He died.

Kenji fell to the ground, the contents of his stomach churning with realization. His life... Everything he worked for... Wasted.

Kenji slowly raised to a stand, and listened to the others converse. One of them, Chloe, seemed familiar... That's right, she was a girl who came by the student council in the beginning of the year to ask for increased funding for the track team...

Following the orders of the man who had talked to the group, Kenji prayed. Is this how it works? I would appreciate it if you could show me my... Status screen? As soon as the thought was finished, a blue screen hovered in front of him. It displayed some familiar words, and Kenji had the feeling it was something like those RPGs that the disciplinary club was always confiscating. Considering Kenji had never played a video game in his life, he had no clue how this even worked. All he knew was that these were people from the bus... Others who have died. The conversation they were having continued on, and Kenji realized that he also was wearing different clothes. Plain purple robes were adorned across his body, and to his side was a sheathed... dagger. The thought of simply throwing the dagger away crossed his mind, but Kenji decided against it. If worst comes to worst, Kenji would need something to protect the others in the group.

Kenji quickly adopted his authoritative "In-charge" voice, and began to speak to the people who surrounded him.

"Can I have your attention please? I believe introductions are in order. My name is Kenji Watanabe, student council vice-president. I apparently have some skill called Enchanting and Pain Resistance. Before we do anything, we need to find out what happened to us. I assume the rest of you were in that bus as well?"

Despite the fact that he was only addressing 5 people, Kenji's heart was thundering in his chest. This sure as hell wasn't some picnic, everyone here died. Kenji had thought about death before, even suicide, but never thought about what it meant... No. This wasn't a bad thing. It became clear what had happened. God gave him this chance. God is giving him the chance to save everyone.

And he wasn't going to mess up.
Posting soon, sorry for the delay.
Time had slowed to a crawl as Kishi gripped the spear. His muscles, much larger than they had been the day before, tensed in preparation, and his breathing slowed. The boar, tensing every muscle in it's body. The creature looked as if it was about to catapult it's way through the very trees in it's path. Kishi wasn't going to fail. He wasn't going to die.

Not now, anyways.

Lomen had begun to inch his way closer, and the boar took notice. It immediately entered a rage, charging at the goblin with speed that was at an incredibly intense level. Lomen, with dexterity that reminded Kishi of Xaal, dodged out of the boar's path with ease. The boar, barely managing to stop itself, began another rampage which Lomen expertly dodged, leading it mere feet from Kishi's position.

Kishi leaped downwards, pushing off the branch to deliver as much force as possible. With surprising ease, Kishi's spear penetrated the beast's thick hide, striking down to the bone. Kishi felt spine hit his spear, before he leaped away, pulling his blade with him. The boar thrashed in pain, desperately flailing in a poor attempt to rid the goblins from it's presence. Kishi felt no pity. It was kill or be killed. The black wolves had taught him that fact the previous night. And Kishi wasn't going to let any of his family be killed.

Not again.

Lomen released a bloodcurdling scream, similar to what Kishi had done earlier in the day. Kishi slowly maneuvered himself, trying to make his way behind the boar. All the while, Lomen was trying to draw the monster's attention with his screaming and the rapid swinging of his horn. If he managed to succeed, Kishi would deliver another Precise Strike to the Boar's rear.

The atmosphere was tense, but Robert felt as if a heavy load was removed from his shoulders. He wasn't going in combat. Considering his level of education, it was actually quite idiotic of him to think he would be engaged in combat with the best forces the Eu had to offer. Surely, Robert would be capable of simply lying his way into the base, and he was more than happy with the way things were developing. He would be an important member of the team, without having to risk as much. Perfect. Jack, or as the muscular man in the corner referred him, "Jake", seemed to be an excellent leader, but seemed a little... too willing to follow the general's orders. Then again, it was hypocritical of Robert to think like this. When he realized this, he stopped the line of thought quickly, and turned back to the task at hand.

"Thank you for clearing up that misunderstanding, General. I would be honored to be a part of this plan, and I agree with Miss Shiomi in that we should make preparations immediately."

Robert slowly closed his journal, which he had been doodling random numbers and symbols in an attempt to make those watching think he is smart. Robert began to speak once more, this time with a steadier and tired voice.

"If that is all... *Yawn* ...I believe we should begin to prepare. I will leave at your dismissal, General."

Robert smiled slightly, before closing his eyes. He was planning to immediately find his Knightmare and sneak a nap in the cockpit as soon as the meeting was adjourned.
The night had been incredibly hectic. The man, Lux, as he addressed himself, was incredibly... dramatic? Samuel had a hard time putting the man into proper words rather than a collection of scrambled letters. The two had managed to hit it off, at least, which surely means something. Unfortunately, the heated discussion that arose between Lux and Alex resulted in a quick ending to the night. Samuel, dejected after his attempt at peace was ignored, went to the room which Okami had offered to him. His robes, incredibly dirty and caked in sweat, were thrown into a pile at the door. Samuel did not even have time to wonder where Gabriel had wandered, before drifting off to the land of dreams.

"Samuel... Please man, you gotta come back!"

"C'mon man, I haven't eaten in days! Wait any longer and I'll even be able to get free myself!"

"Please Samuel, get back soon! I need some help over here..."

"Dammit..."

"Please..."

"..."

Samuel woke up in the middle of the night, covered in a thin veil of sweat. A light thumping was emanating from behind his window, but Samuel was unable to hear it over his own heartbeat. Samuel slowly rose out of his bed, before immediately rushing to the bathroom. What felt like hours passed by, as Samuel's stomach wretched and regurgitated everything he had eaten the night before. Samuel slowly closed his eyes, as tears rapidly fell from his face. By the time he had cleaned the area and left, the sun had already risen. Gabriel was nowhere in sight. Samuel quickly washed his robes in the clean bathroom, before sligning them on, still wet. After all, it would at least wake him up.

Samuel made his way down to the main bar, which was now but a hollow shell of its former glory. All that remained of the patrons from the night before were a few drunkards, and those who had still not finished their drinks. Moving himself to the bar, Samuel ordered a water and did his best to remove the scent of vomit from his breath. Samuel spent the next few hours drifting between conscious and unconsciousness, until a voice that sounded familiar echoed the name of the boy he was waiting for.

"Pardon, sir? Sorry to bother you. My name is Faera, I'm looking for someone named Okami, so do you happen to know where him and his group are?"

Samuel raised his head from the bar, and motioned for the young girl to come closer. As he did so, he noticed that his robes had dried in the heat of the tavern, and he lightly called out to her.

"Greetings, Faera. I believe Okami is still asleep in his room. Do you know where the rest of the group is?"

It was good to see that the team was still together.

The sight of a young man's face filled Samuel's mind. He couldn't be slothful in his mission. He had come to the tower for a reason. And he was not going to back down. Not now.

Samuel, lost in thought, did not even notice Gabriel seated neatly in his lap.

Finally! Now that everyone is going to bed, it is time for me to practice the ancient forbidden art!

Flight!

I quickly moved my way through the tavern, avoiding feet as if they were slow moving, glacial as... Glaciers.

By the time I had made my way out, I was already analyzing my surrounding, using my eagle-like vision to find the perfect passageway to the top of the tavern. Finally, it came to me like a puppy duckling to it's master: The gutter!

While the way to the top was... unpleasant, to say the least, I had successfully reached my goal: The roof! Now, the mighty Gabriel merely needed to learn how to fly before the winged maiden sees him again. How hard could that be?

I took several strides back, before running forwards and leaping off the ledge.

I then plummeted and smashed face first in the ground.

As it turned out, I have severely underestimated gravity. Additionally, simply flapping your wings as hard as you can while praying does not gift one with the ability of flight. With my body broken bruised and my pride battered scratched slightly, I made my way to the washroom of the tavern. Roughly an hour later, I emerged perfect. As usual.

Besides, I hear ladies love a man with tons of scars!
