I sound like a broken record, but only 2 months left till I'm done teaching. Not sure what's next, but it feels like anything would pay more and be less stressful lol

Teacher update: I feel like a villain from a cartoon. The laughter of teenagers gives me migraines, and I no longer feel guilt when giving bad grades to kids that sleep through my lessons.

First day as a Biology Teacher tomorrow - hopefully the kids will be able to read my handwriting.
Daichi was one of the first to enter the right wing, but he most certainly wasn't the last. As he tried to move around the incredibly scary lady, a young woman with black hair that crazily shot out in all directions and wearing the boys uniform appeared. She glanced nervously at the large device the woman held in her hands, before stepping away from the small crowd that was beginning to form.
"H-Hey, maybe it's not as bad as it looks?"
She walked forwards, a face completely unfazed and straight, before shooting out another response to the woman, who Daichi had just realized was wearing a nurse uniform. The smile on the nurse seemed to expand, frightening Daichi to levels previously thought unimaginable.
"If this can be an excuse for being late to class, then I guess I don't mind helping you out."
Daichi, having been blocked from passing around the nurse, moved back slightly until he was to the side of the girl. As he moved closer, he could see that she was far taller than any girl he had ever seen before and she was wearing fingerless gloves that were dark as her hair, despite the fact they were inside a school. Maybe it's so she doesn't hurt her hand while writing... Either way, she's so cool! Daichi was about to step aside for the girl to walk to the nurse when a small boy, whom Daichi had not even noticed until that point, made his presence known.
"...quick. Please. Class starting. Soon."
As the boy fidgeted, the blue hair on his head allowed Daichi to remember him. He was the same boy that Daichi had nearly run over nearly 5 minutes ago! And he was covered by a thin, blue aura and had a large cut on his cheeck... As Daichi took note of this strange feature, a pretty girl with bubblegum pink hair joined the crowd, voicing her own opinion on the bizarre scenario.
"You guys are so totally joking right? You're going to actually like, let her draw some blood? A needle that size will suck you dry! C'mon! Can't you like totally do something and protect me! Needles are super super scary and uncute! Like If you use your quirk, whatever it is, we can so totally just breeze past her quickly!"
Wait... The last comment seemed... off...
QUIRK?!?!
Daichi shook violently at the thought. His mother had always told him to never use his quirk. It was illegal to do so, and he would get in serious trouble if he ever hurt anyone. Then again... this was Komei academy. Of course, the greatest hero academy second greatest hero academy in all of Japan would want to test students on the use of their quirks... but doing it so sneakily... Daichi would have never realized that this was a test had the others not told him. His train of thought was broken when the black-haired girl looked over to him, a pleading look in her eyes. Daichi nervously shook, realizing that he had missed everything she had said. However, another black-haired woman appeared, this time with short hair.
"I... I think she wants us all to do a blood test"
She added something else, but Daichi was too far from her to make it out with any clarity. She was also wearing gloves... Was that part of the school uniform? A look to the clock eliminated this fear, replacing it with a different kind of terror. Daichi had always been the type of person to arrive to things early, and he was about to miss the deadline! What kind of impression would that give to the staff?! After his heavy breathing was calmed down, he noticed that he had, once again, ignored a person while they were speaking. Dang it! Daichi nearly threw his fist into the wall, before remembering that he would probably break it. Daichi spent several seconds thinking of a solution... until he looked at his hand. If he could grin he would be doing it. Striding over to the short, blue-haired boy, Daichi lightly picked him up.
"N-no time! S-sorry if it h-h-hurts..."
As carefully as he could, Daichi tossed the boy over the nurse, doing his best to avoid throwing him too hard or high. Daichi was worried that he might hurt the boy, but calmed down slightly. After all, that blue aura felt very hard underneath his hands, to the point Daichi wondered if even he could break it...
Having tossed the boy, Daichi turned to the rest of the crowd, his razor-sharp teeth shining briefly and his form menacingly rising to a standing position.
...The flickering light was not helping his image...
The tearful goodbye at the station was quite heart warming. Daichi's mother, a stout woman, was sure to check that the young boy had everything he needed for his new school life. As the train pulled away from the station, Daichi was left to wonder what his new life was going to be like. Surely, the new students were not going to be exactly friendly with someone as large and... monstrous looking. Then again, Musutafu was a completely different city. Perhaps things would be nicer there. He silently made sure to check that his luggage, containing all the school supplies he was asked to bring, was still near his feet. The long train ride ended abruptly, and Daichi made his way towards the motel which his mother had made a reservation for. The sound of heavy footsteps greeted the patrons of the establishment and, after handing over the money that he was sure to bring, Daichi made his way to his room. The place was far cleaner than many others, and the fact that he barely had to speak to the clerk made for the entire experience to be rather pleasant. Then again... This was his first night from home. But Daichi had to learn to accept that he wasn't going to see his mother in a long time. He turned on the television, and fell asleep to the sound of a newscaster reporting the major villains still at large. He awoke at 6:00 AM, and began to get ready for his first day of school.
Daichi began to become frantic. Despite arriving at the school's gates nearly an hour early, the gates refused to open to his ID card. Daichi, believing this to be some kind of error, patiently waited for another student to try their luck, and each time, he was disappointment with a loud beep. It seemed that the gate was simply locked off. Pacing nervously, Daichi was nearly tempted to call for authorities by 8:15 AM. Fortunately, the gates began to respond to the students IDs, and opened mechanically to the students. Daichi nearly slammed into a small, blue-haired boy as he walked onto the academy premises. He quickly ran for the front doors, or as quickly as he could considering how bright it was. The main reason Daichi left early was to make sure he could manage to walk to the school in the sunlight. Clumsily waddling, he made his way towards the three guards who stood in front of the entrance. One child tried to make his way into the building, was pushed back by the largest man. Daichi jumped back slightly in shock.
"Sorry, but we were ordered not to allow any students in this way! The ground floor area of this building is blocked off to everyone until further notice!"
Daichi swung his head from side-to-side, searching for any possible way into the place that held his future. As he did so, two paths emerged; The Left Wing, and the Right Wing. Several tense seconds passed, until Daichi had come to a decision. Right is always right, right? Daichi began to make his way to the right extension of the building.
The hall way was filled with flickering light, which felt nice on Daichi's skin. He could feel his stamina returning. A look to the clock on the wall told him the time was 8:20! Quickly, the large boy made his way across the path, before a rolling chair slid by him. A woman with red hair poke her head from the room in which the chair emerged, and made her way to chair, sitting lightly on it.
"Students! Do you have time for a small check up? I do like to keep my medical records up to date after all...I believe most of you require a blood test."
Daichi, large frame shaking from a combination of fear and urgency, replied to the woman.
"I-I'm sorry, S-Sensei. I have t-to g-g-get to c-class."
Internally, Daichi sighed. He was stuttering a lot more than usual, and whether it was from stress or the fact that he was so late, the woman was clearly not helping. He tried to maneuver past the woman, in hopes that she would allow him to pass.
Lomen's screech did the job, and the injured boar turned to face him. As he did so, Kishi maneuvered himself to it's side, before driving the spear through the mighty beasts flank. The feeling of flesh give way as easy as air caused the goblin to grin. Surely, this is how the wolves must have felt. Killing something so easily... It made Kishi grin. Not out of happiness, but out of satisfaction. He was going to kill anything and everything that threatened his kind, his family. This boar was no exception. Kishi held the spear firmly, before twisting it and letting it go. The boar trembled slightly, almost as if it was trying to fight the fact that it nearly died, before it's legs simply gave way. The eyes of the creature rolled back in it's head, and it remained still. A long, drawn out breath exited, and the creature expired.
Kishi grinned.
The fear of death was gone, at least temporarily. It was imposible for him to die, at least right now. He refused to die as long as there was one creature that threatened the goblin existence. His kind were not meant to be stepping stones, as food. Not anymore, at least.
Lomen moved close to the east and began to extract the heart, which Kishi had honestly thought was destroyed. Lomen turned to the goblin.
"You should eat a bit as well before we take this back to camp. I think it would be best to share our hunt with the clan since I am well fed and we still have a wolf I need to show you how to skin."
Kishi's eyes turned towards the tusks of the creature, and he carefully removed his spear so as to not harm Lomen. Kishi quickly slashed at the two blade-like bones with his spear. Both broke off cleanly, and Kishi tossed one of them to Lomen. As Kishi replaced the horn of the rabbit with the tusk, he gave out his response.
"I refuse to eat this. At least, right now. I will not eat this until every other goblin in our home has had their fill. Grandfather especially. He is far to old to be doing his own hunting."
Kishi wasn't going to let any goblin in his home die, even if they couldn't hunt. If he had to, he was going to feed every damn one of them himself. The tusk was curved and, as a result, Kishi's spear was now more akin to a halberd than anything else. Kishi gave the weapon several practice swings before Lomen spoke again.
"Also, Kishi, I do not know what happened when you made your screech earlier, but I have gotten a skill called 'challenge'..."
An intense wave of pain flooded throughout all of Kishi's body. All around him was pure blackness, and an intense feeling of hunger consumed his being. Slowly, the hunger faded, leaving in it's place a cold numbness. Just as soon as it appeared, it faded away, and Lomen's voice reappeared.
"...something like this after the fight with the wolves?"
Kishi breathed heavily, a look of fear in his eyes. He tuned away from Lomen, and gave out his reply.
"...I don't know what you're talking about, Brother Lomen."
A wetness appeared on his face, and Kishi reached up to remove it. As he pulled away, a red liquid followed.
...Blood?
Kishi wiped away the fluid quickly, before moving to the rear of the beast and grabbing hold of it's hooves.
"...We should take this back home. We can divide up the parts back there. Besides, this thing is too large to carry back with anything else, and the blood will draw lot's of attention."
Having spent a majority of his life taller and heavier than most adults, Daichi has some height issues. While he tries to not let it bother him, the fact that he needs to ride in the back of a pickup truck has led to numerous... problems. He typically wears tight fitting clothes and very large hoodies, but loves his large school uniform. He enjoys covering his head with a hoodie, mainly just to hide his monstrous visage. He went through a phase of not using any plant products, but has gotten over it. Everywhere he goes, he usually has some form of meat, usually as jerky. His deep, grumbling voice is made humorous by his infamous stuttering, a condition he despises. His skin has a hard, almost stone-like texture, but is still flesh.
Name: Daichi Nakai
Gender: Male (I-I think?)
Age: 15
Height: 229 cm
Weight: 169 kg
Personality: A loud, kind individual, Daichi is quick to stand up for others when no one else will. He refuses to back down when he is given a mission, and will hold himself to complete it. Usually, this meant getting groceries from the car, not arresting villains. While he tries not to show it, Daichi is terrified to have been accepted into Komei. He does his best to fit in with the crowd, but refuses to stand down if he sees bullying or some injustice. Due to his problems with internal injuries, Daichi has some health problems, particularly a shortness of breath. Because of his lack of... manhood, Daichi doesn't really feel anything special towards females. He is very self conscious about this deformity and his inability to conceive children, and he will try to hide it as much as possible. Due to his large frame, almost everything he owns is a much larger version of what it is supposed to be, and he is forced to act as carefully as he can around other people. Despite his loud mouthing, he means everything he says, and he cares about everyone and everything, filling the optimistic role nicely. Daichi has an incredibly naive attitude, fueled by a life of sheltering and love, to the point where he believes prison is interchangeable with shelter and killing another person is unthinkable, if not subconsciously impossible. He is far to trusting for his own good, and he does whatever he can to help, usually failing and causing harm.
Background: Born in Kyoto to a single mother, Daichi led a completely normal life. He was quite bright for his age, to the point where his daycare thought he would accomplish great things in the future. His mother, a Florakinetic, owned a small flower shop which kept the family in a comfortable position financially. Daichi dreamed of inheriting his mother's quirk, and taking over the shop when she grew too old. He never knew his father, but he really couldn't care less at the time. After all, kids always look forward to getting their quirks. They never stop to think of what they would do if things turned out differently.
The moment went by instantly for Daichi. He closed his eyes for a second, and he was suddenly taller than his mother. His muscles bulged without any effort, threatening to rip his skin apart, and he felt so much... heavier. None of this was on Daichi's mind however. The only thing that was on his mind was the fact that he couldn't breath. His tongue, a massive blob of flesh, was far back in his mouth, near his throat. Presumably, this was meant to prevent biting it with knife-like teeth. Unfortunately, it also blocked his windpipe, resulting in him passing out. He awoke in the nearby hospital several hours later, his mother sobbing by his side.
His father had the same quirk, and had left the country in order to avoid persecution for tax evasion. Daichi's mother had seen the process of Daichi's quirk activating, which took several minutes until completion. She had been the one to call the ambulance for him. And she was also the person to tell him the bad news.
Having gone so long without oxygen, Daichi's brain had suffered immense damage. It was unlikely for him to ever recover fully, and he was destined to be mentally handicapped. Additionally, his left lung had suffered shock from the event, resulting in a shortness of breath and severe asthma. Daichi remained in the hospital for 4 months, and left just in time for his birthday.
He had turned 4.
As the years went by, it became clear that Daichi had changed, and not just mentally. He lost the numerous friends he had made, and he never managed to make anymore. He was far less expressive, and also was introverted. He began to read almost obsessively, and his small garden nearly tripled in size. He was delving into himself, and shutting everyone else out.
At 8, Daichi was taller than the average man, and weighed just as much. It was then that he decided to join the local soup kitchen. Maybe he wanted to recover himself before he became a social pariah, or maybe he simply wanted to be something besides the monster he appeared to be. Or maybe there was no reason. But the faces of those he saw that day changed him. They didn't sneer at his face, or cringe at his voice. They didn't shake in fear when he walked near them. They simply smiled, and thanked him for the food. He wanted to help people as much as possible.
For the next 6 years, Daichi became a local legend, and was the go-to guy if someone had a problem. People no longer looked at him with fear, but with gratitude. As the years went on, this sense of justice and satisfaction became addictive, to the point where Daichi had selected his future career.
Professional hero.
Daichi spent the next year studying furiously, and spending every waking moment learning. After months of studying and a grueling exam period, he successfully managed to make it into the famous Komei Academy, bottom of his class. After a tearful goodbye with his mother, Daichi left for Musutafu, to show the world that he wasn't just some monster.
Quirk: Monstrous Physiology
Classification: Mutant
Description: Daichi has an incredibly strong body. Something such as a regular punch would probably break a person's hand, and it would take a large number of small caliber bullets to take him down. Strength wise, it would be easy for him to throw cars, let alone punches. Something large, like a building or truck, however, is beyond his capabilities. He is able to see in the dark, and can jump three meters vertically in the air. He is at full strength in the dark.
Unfortunately, Daichi's quirk comes with some side effects. He is, compared to his classmates, mentally dim, and his quirk reshaping his mouth has caused him to develop a severe stutter. Additionally, subtlety is a foreign concept for him, as simply walking generates a lot of noise. Speed is also unknown to him, as he has horrible cardiovascular strength, to the point where jumping places would be faster. Internal damage is by far the biggest threat, as most surgical scalpels cannot pierce his skin, leading to numerous health problems throughout Daichi's life. Daichi has no sense of smell, and his stomach has become incapable of digesting plants, leading to a carnivorous life style. On the topic of food, Daichi requires 5000 calories a day which, while not to threatening in modern day Japan, would be incredibly dangerous in a survival situation. Daichi's durability only extends to physical trauma, and mental attacks are more than twice as effective on him. He has numerous 'weak points' scattered throughout his body, mainly on his back and lower on his neck. These spots glow bright red when he is in a rage, and will cause him to fall unconscious if hit with large amounts of force. His quirk is constantly active, making Daichi gain a very careful disposition when it comes to other people, the inability to swim, and a very low IQ. Finally, Daichi is 50% weaker in the light, leading to his more 'nocturnal' sleep cycle.
Talents: Boxing: Due to his size and lack of dexterity, Daichi has adopted the western art of Boxing. He is quite experienced, but nowhere near tournament level.
Gardening: Despite being a pure carnivore, Daichi has been known to be an avid gardener, and does his best to keep his plants alive. He's the kind of guy who brings his potted plants inside during bad weather.
Foreign Language: Unsurprisingly for the guy with the intelligence of a child, Daichi has an incredible grasp on foreign languages. He has nearly mastered English (Westaboo), and has made great progress towards Chinese. He will occasionally make exclamations in English, mainly for effect or attention.
Lift small cars, but cannot throw them.
Tires out quicker, as if he was underwater
Jump 1 meter in the air
Can take several small caliber bullets before needing immediate medical attention.
Slightly-below average human strength.
Human durability
Walking is impossible
High chance of fainting from fatigue/ lack of stamina.
Exposure of more than a minute will cause cardiovascular muscles to fail, resulting in heart attacks.
