Hold on...

I just remembered something: aren't there two early interest apps that are MIA, atm? Are they being counted as a part of the cast?

EDIT: Removed part of the last question. Tone felt accidentally hostile.
@Yankee@AzureKnight@Enkryption I think after sleeping on it I don't really want pre-existing cast to make changes to their character concept to accommodate new characters. It's an excellent CS but we do have a big cast and I don't think Saya is filling a missing niche. I appreciate everyone's time to make this a possibility but I don't think it's a good fit on my end, although it has some cool differentiation possibilities later.

I don't much believe in characters needing to "fill a niche" in RPs like this; Slice of Life is about the person, at the end of the day, and not what they have to offer mechanically. If that were the case, I'd change Nibiria for being mechanically the same as Zrer.

And, i can't speak for @Yankee, but I do wanna say, I appreciate the willingness to help bring Saya into the fold, and change up Jada in a few small ways, based off an idea off the top of my head. Rare to see that nowadays.

EDIT: Forgot to say, your consideration is appreciated, @Mae. Just woke up for work when I read your statement, and made my own reply.
@AzureKnightSorry, she's too close to Nibby, Jada and Zrer so I will decline the submission. Thankyou for the interest

If I could quibble for the price of 2¢, I'd like to disagree. Saya looks like a Pure Caster, someone capable of going much farther and deeper into magic than either of those three. Speaking for myself, I know that Nibiria doesn't use magic for anything other of gardening, unless forced to. She is based in hard science and medical science, where magic is just a means to an ends.

Looking at Zrer, he doesn't feel like he'd conflict with Saya - if anything, he'd benefit the most from her existence, as she's the only character of three mentioned that could, potentially, be able to assist him in unlocking his magic, and returning him to his former glory.

And, Jada is basically the same relationship as Nibiria and Zrer, where both do the same thing, have similar methods, but are very different in their goals and means. They'd make immediately rivals - in a quiet way - as they both seek to learn all that the magical world can offer, but while Jada wants to learn for the betterment of all, Saya wants to learn for the betterment of her own social standing and way of living.

All in all, I can't override a decline, but I wanted to add my thoughts, since Nibiria was mentioned, and I'd never wanna be the cause of a rejected character.
@Mae

I have no real problems with where Nibby's homestead is. If I had to quibble, it is stated to be tucked into the trees, so effectively, it would just flip vertically 180-degrees.

However, that's a quibble of less import than my curiosity of what "Ignoble Magic" is.
Part of me thinks I should've made a tavern owner instead, for some reason that role completely slipped my mind lol

Nothing stopping you could pursuing that goal in-character. After all, Nibiria is considered an Apothecary, but in the big city, she wouldn't be seen as anyone important, unless she trained and proved herself as a Pharmacist.

Who is to say, a humble blacksmith wouldn't take on projects as commissions, and use his money to open a bar as his passion, once inspired to?
Speaking of connections, how bout we forge dem connections while we all wait in the meantime?

Taking into consideration that Nibiria lives alone, works on commission, and doesn't visit town, since she lives on the land - spider webs are good for catching critters - she wouldn't have any connections out the gate, save for a few regular
patients from the Hamlet.

Even with Wormy sleeping in her toolshed, she's seldom to visit it, since she grows mostly herbs that are potted indoors, and uses her Earth Magic to dig and till her veggie farmland outdoor.

Nibby is a lonely woman on purpose.
<Snipped quote by Enkryption>

I stand by living in the toolshed, I already envision that one night she hears something like munching or someone going "Om, nom nom dis tasty." a bit too loud and finding a small green lizard sitting in a patch of flowers eating a fern with a vacant look in his eyes.

Then being shooed by a broom wielding Nibby.

More rather, a giant spiderress that appears to be part tree woman with a shovel.
@Theyra someone already lives in a cottage with a garden at the edge of the village we can't all live there 😂

Nibiria isn't in the business of subletting her space to potential competition. Better be living on the opposite side of the Hamlet, lol.

@Mae

Unless he was, like, super-close, Nibby wouldn't really concern herself with him. People come to her for treatments, despite being wary of her, so she never goes into town. She'd know of him through gossip, but not in person, unless he made the effort to visit or people stopped coming to her and went to him instead - that would be cause to investigate.
@Enkryption Nibby definitely needs some sort of shapeshifting ability, which elemental magic would you like her to have? The basic element you pick will be the grounding for the wisdom based inert magic that gives her her shapeshifting ability, just a bit of flavour. If you and [Crimson Flame] are interested in nature magic, I think you'd have a basic grasp of earth, water, fire.

Nibby is the daughter of a male Dryad and an Arachne, so she's predisposed to Earth-based by default. Maybe a touch of Water and Fire to influence growth of plants by within her secret greenhouse/laboratory?

Shapeshifting for sure. I have a potential FC for her True Form.
