Hello. I am Fading Memory, and I am running a game of 'Household' here on the Guild. I have taken the time to write out a fairly thorough explanation of the mechanics in the present OOC thread linked below, and am capable of sharing the player materials for those interested. More importantly, however, I wish to make it known to any who are interested that this game is still welcoming more players and will be going through an initial trial period where the players will be tackling the quick-start adventure offered by the designers. Should all go well, I will continue to be the storyteller for the players as they tackle the Household's Saga of the Fragile Peace adventure set.

The Household is a very big place, with very little people inside it. Drawing inspiration from sources such as The Borrowers, The Secret World of Arriety, and other such resonant works, the players will be handling the fates and destinies of Littlings of their various shapes and sizes as a tenuous period of peace stretches in the wake of twenty years of brutal warfare between the various Little Folk nations. Setting-wise, the game takes place in what I would escribe as 'Period' era; muskets and duels, nobility and class schisms, innovation and worldly exploration, are all the bread and butter of this game. One's decorum, wealth, and status matter just as much as one's ability to wield the mighty scissor-blade or elegantly defend oneself with the flourish of a cape. Social graces, wit, might, and guile all must be wielded by our Littlings as they journey throughout the house and tiptoe through these precarious times.

If this sounds interesting to you, feel free to join us below and read the OOC thread to see what all has been discussed thus far. The Saga is presented in a curious fashion to myself, your erstwhile storyteller; it is one of the only games I have ever seen that is structured in a way to require/encourage players to run multiple characters, so as to experience different sides of the House and the plot in parallel as we advance through the timeline. For the time being we will be focusing on one group as we explore the prologue and the events of 'Pride, Prejudice, and Centipedes'- a short, but flavorful, foray into the Household.

The intention is for me to formally launch the game during this week, regardless of the number of interested parties who are available at the time. Come and join at your leisure.

Elden Ring destroyed my brain for the weekend, updating the OOC and double checking my notes today. I anticipate being able to start our prologue sometime this week.
Yeah. He was speaking to Tabiah and really really hoping he wouldn’t need to do the inevitable joining of paths with the Bleakers. Now he isn’t being quiet or anything, and he’s certainly gawking, so it could still end up prompting the cabalists.
That is genuinely hilarious. The multiverse’s greatest rebels. Literally don’t need help.
@rush99999 as visible as is dramatically appropriate. Which is to say ‘if it causes Drama, then yes’.
I have concluded all my reading on this night and prepped a few more choice screenshots. Over the weekend I anticipate finishing the OOC and launching thst second Int-Check, then preparing for the test prologue.

I find absolutely no end to my amusement that the First Household War ended with a High Council who all elected to grant all the powers to the Faeries that the war started twenty years ago over. I can see this horrible powder keg of a timeline and scenario being called the Fragile Peace for good reason.
The cat's dour mood strikes Zaraknvyr as particularly grating. The Drow frowns deeply, his lips only barely restraining the desire to twist into a scowl. He begins formulating a plan on how to berate the creature into a more pleasant disposition. However, Tabiah begins to speak before the slow wheels of Zaraknvyr's mind can truly devote themselves to the task.

"Tabiah of the Athar. I am Zaraknvyr, Mercykiller. Abasi has made his disposition quite apparent to me. A Skeptic is a better companion than most, and a wizard as well."

He grunts, lifting the beer and taking a slow drink of it.

"A wizard has uses."

And yet, his gaze swivels to the corner of his eyes. The Bleakers were asking for the same place he was. He licks his teeth.

"Skeptic, you do not happen to have a portal key do you?" he prompted with a growing sense of dread as his pale eyes took in the company of Bleakers, partially sizing them up and partially hoping within his grubby little black heart that he would not have to conscript them too.
Zavakri is gnawing upon the knuckle of her left hand as if it would forever sate her hunger. Raw nerves apparent in the woman as she gingerly moved among the company of would-be-rebels. She observed Aurora with much trepidation, and, indeed, a spectral abacus appeared in the air at her side as she began to perform a swift accounting of the situation. The numbers could be modified, of course, but a raw assessment never hurt things!

Finally relinquishing her knuckle from her mouth she made a grand effort of wiping her hand clean on her trousers, before the gears in her eyes began to turn as she prepared to harness the orderly component of magic that was uniquely unlocked to her personage. When their scheme came to fruition and the rebellion was launched, she was prepared to cast.

OOC: Formally declaring a 'held' action to twin-cast 'Reduce' upon the King and the largest-seeming of all the enemy knights should a combat break out. Since this will use her Reaction, there will be no need to query her other usual shenanigans.
That is pretty much how the Horde feels to me. My wife has coerced me into watching Bridgerton and so the bug for Household has only been further stoked within me.
Alas, you fool, you interpreted it more favorably than I could have hoped. And this shall be your downfall. Instead of the embarrassing and horrible truth that in the years of 1946 through 1952 I went on a serial spree of feline fisticuffs and was never captured by my pursuers despite the international infamy I accrued and that my current life is a well maintained lie meant to further elude the consequences of my brash youth as I bask in my elder years, you thought I merely engaged in fictitious feline brawling.

Jokes aside my first DM at an in person table had one of the first minor antagonists we encountered be a demon who took the form of various cats. I did punch that one.
