Madawc hat to grin like a Cheshire cat. "So your less than a half of me." he replied. Then he grabbed some of his own bread and water and started nibbling at it. "That makes you faster, doesn't it ?" he added before stoking up the fire, thinking about if they had gathered enough wood to burn. It got colder and colder. Having finished that and having consumed his ration for today's evening, he addressed the mute again: "Tell me... where exactly did you get your armor from ? It's highly unusual. Actually I've never seen something like this before."

Madawc looked down at himself, seeing the chubby mass that was weighing on him and poking into it with his index finger. "Yeah, I know... I've become fat a bit. I'm eating too much, but the demon is driving me I believe. He doesn't care and neither do I very much. However sometimes it can be advantageous to be bloody heavy, something you likely will not profit from for a long time to come." the man teased back. "What do you weigh ?"

The two men's progress was smooth and steady. Soon, they had left the gates of Meche behind them and were on their way to Bravado, using the main routes. It would take a few more hours till sunset, the time they had decided to put up their camp and have some rest. Madawc had taken off his heavy armor, the demon-man just was confident enough not to need it soon. The comfortable cloth beneath it now was revealing the man's belly that bulged at least three inches over his belt.

"Xavier ? You told me you wanted to become stronger. I tell you: You have to exercise more for that. And eat more after that as well."

The Whispering Badlands

My character is a good hub, if anyone is having trouble connecting to the area, the quest, or the group. He has been just about everywhere doing random crap that catches imaginations and sometimes the interest of people. He isn't too picky rounding up people of any demographic, so even underprivileged or unwholesome or unrecognized characters should be able to make that link easily. About the only thing I have not included is a sea voyage because those usually take a long time and he isn't really adept with much of anything of the sort.

Madawc pocketed the parchment. It could possibly be re-used by scratching away the superficial ink as parchment was far more robust than ordinary paper, however it also was expensive. The demon-man wasn't really happy about leaving city right now, but he wouldn't put himself in Xaviers way. Camping... well... he had been passing his nights this way for years. This would probably me more of an inconvenience for the mute warrior than for him.

Looking at the sun for an estimation how long it would still shine across the sky, he mounted his newly bought horse again. Xavier could notice it groan under his companion, who immediately started to turn around and slowly find his path along the streets towards the city gate. "Then let's head out."

"It was an offer." Madawc answered in a friendly manner. "Are you ready or do you want to stay overnight and start early in the morning ?" He hoped that the mute would opt for the latter. "Did I surprise you ? I had the short impression that you were scared. Sorry for that..." he raised his hands in a defensive gesture and put them down again.

"Damnit... that dragon has already started 'dragonforming' the academy's surroundings." Harald mumbled to himself, lowly. It made him just feel a bit more humble. He watched Alex climb out of the water, taking a look at his athletic body shape. Hearing his call, Harald started to make his way out of the lake as well. His wet 'crystals' reflected the sunlight, and the multitide of surfaces angled to each other, combined with refraction, resulted in an appearance similar to a gemstone. However the only coolness coming out of that for Harald himself was water clinging to the different pieces of it and running down into his ears. He shook the liquid off from them and his fur, pretty much like a domestic cat did, just on a tremendously bigger scale.

He glanced at Sulleykaar, and though he currently had the face of a lion-like thing and not like a human, one could get the impression that he wanted to ask the same question: 'Room for one more ?'

"Ahem..." There was a noise of someone jumping down from a height, and the loudness of the impact was indicative of someone wearing armor. Madawc nudged on Xavier's shoulder to get his attention. "Here I am. I've finished my purchase." He gently patted the neck of the heavily breathing horse.

"Would you like to try it ?" the demonically infested man asked friendly.
