When you have to disable a new 'advanced' search to get proper search results and learn that 'advanced' means 'AI'. Let's rename it artificial superficiality, short 'AS'. Not to be confused with...

I'm slightly proud of myself having overcome my hate for indoor spiders a bit over the years. In my youth I often eliminated them, now I carry them outside in a jar. Spiders here are harmless though.

Believe me, if they could, the entirity of Southern Germany would send you all the rain they had over the last couple of days. I'm just not sure you'd actually want the widespread destruction.

Finally managed to catch the mouse. Our cat must consider me the most incompetent person of all times given how she watched instead of helping. She dragged the problem in though!

Bio

Welcome to my profile page!

Who the hell is this person behind those many miles of fiber optics and copper cable ?

  • I'm a 34 year old guy.
  • ... who's working as a software developer
  • ... and enjoys roleplaying as a casual hobby to distract himself from ongoing stress

And into which hell will I descend with you participating in one of my roleplays?

  • I'm a fantasy addict: medieval high and low!
  • I'd consider myself to be a low casual roleplayer, 3 paragraphs per post on average.
  • My schedule varies. It might happen that I won't be able to post at all for a week, but then again it might happen that I'll reach a sweet spot inside which I can go on a posting rampage. I'd say one can expect 1-2 posts a week from me, depending on the lengths involved.
  • English is not my native language, but so far I've not encountered anyone who had had trouble with me over that :)

Want to RP with me ? Shoot me a PM, but don't shoot me!

Thanks for visiting!

*Discreetly sniffs armpits and smiles*

Ok it smells pretty bad, but my armpits are so high up in the air that almost every nose will be well below them. So nothing to worry about.

Asmund Gjanarsson

Age: 20
Year: 2
Gender: Male
Species: Gifted - Norse

Gifts:
  • Magni's strength (passive)
Magni is one of two sons of Thor and Járnsaxa, and one can clearly see that Asmund's gifts are related to someone who was given birth by a giantess. He is considerably stronger than the 'odinary' gifted, and also a lot taller and more muscular than humans normally are. The latter two circumstances naturally can turn out to be a disadvantage as well.
  • Móði's valor (passive)
Móði is their other son. Little is known about him, but it is very difficult to get Asmund to the point where he is intimidated by something. It is not because he would be an ignorant fool - he can understand dangers pretty much as everyone else can. They just don't impress ihm and he doesn't loose his head in such situations. He can also endure noticably more strain than is usual.
  • Thor's possessions (active)
Who would someone who has a quarter foot in Thor's branch be without Mjölnir, Megingjörð or Járnglófar ? Of course Asmund does not receive the real things, but merely 'weak' copies he can summon. The usage of this is exhausting, he can keep it up only temporarily.
Mjölnir - The hammer that never flies so far that it cannot return to his user and never breaks. However that's also it.
Megingjörð - The magic belt that is claimed to double its user's strength.
Járnglófar - It is not really possible to use Mjölnir without having Járnglófar, because the hammer's shaft is shorter than originally designed and because of its other magic properties. Aside from that, these iron gloves don't have any effect on their own.

In Depth Physical description:
Asmund's gifts have clearly left their marks on his appearance. He is extremely tall, standing somewhere close to nine feet. His entire body is covered in a thick and brutal amount of muscle, but nobody's perfect: He is still a human - and he likes feasting. One can quite feel that if one gently pokes into his belly with one's finger or just looks a bit more closely. His hair is long and of a dark brown color. Asmund's complexion is rather pale and he maintains a dense, stury beard. In contrast to his body, his facial expression is rather soft.

Personality: He considers it an error if somebody is scared away by his intimidating appearance, because in his self-assessment, he is a gentle man. However he doesn't respond well to situations when he feels that people attempt to tell him something on the subtle layer - bluntness is what he both likes and applies himself more. He usually doesn't actively try to impress other people and other people doing this will meet diminishing or even negative returns. There is quite a bit of intelligence in his head - what he is very glad for, because silly 'all brawn no brain'-accusations are not that far away with the way he looks like. He appears to shy at actively starting a relationship with a woman.

Hobbies: Hunting, weight-lifting and other 'heavy duty' sports, a bit of mathematics, reading, eating.

Familiar: None

Madawc put his foot into the stirrup and got up into the saddle. "Do we need any fresh supplies ? I don't think so, but if you do otherwise... If you ask me, we have time. In that case I'll wait for you just outside of the village." He intended to get rid of the stinking, beaten paths of this village as soon as possible.
@Aspen Wren
I intend to go with Asmund.

However I'm fiddling with the thought of reintroducing Harald into your "The Return"-RP, with some modifications likely that I have yet to consider.
Yes I know, I'm late. My excuse is that my schedule barely left me enough time to keep up with the RPs that are currently running and I'm actively engaged in.

Here's the character prototype I'd like to try out. -ducks and runs-

Aaaand done. I hope I haven't forgotten something.

Vaughtar

Having one snow shovel to clear snow was good, having two snow shovels to clear snow was even better, but against ice crusting an alter, having claws was the best. At least that was the way the gargoyle had already started to think about it even before Zesiro accepted his help. However he would have to be careful not too scratch the stone too much, since, after all, they were currently looking for signs on the surface of it.

Vaughtar's impending tests of his approach about de-icing did never take place, since almost the same moment he got his hands in touch with the object, the rather strangely speaking monk approached him with a proposal of his own. Shouldn't someone who was athletic and well trained move in a more straightforward, precise, and stable manner ? Subtly wobbling around, an elevated aggression level that allowed for launching an entire barrage of curses at things that could not respond before tossing them around - the gargoyle knew these signs, though in Munimis, he had only been able to observe them on humans and other folks, never on himself. The reason for this probably was that he had been way too big for the little amount of liquor he had been able to get there. The stuff Dimitri was offering him... well - the monk appeared to be fond of it. Now logic would dictate that it would be unwise to gobble a substance that was unknown to oneself and possibly much more potent that everything encountered so far. It would also dictate that it was inadvisable to allow for an exchange of trace amounts of body fluids between a living gargoyle from another world and a human from another world by sharing a bottle. But did Vaughtar care about such details ?

"I'm curious..." He glanced over to Rozalind who was vigorously objecting, confirming his own suspicions about Dimitri currently being slightly intoxicated. There was no point in whispering for him, he knew he couldn't get his voice low enough for noone being so close by to be able to hear it. "...Come back to me when this is over. I want to try this!"

Meanwhile, Ariel, in her husky form, had found something. Something that suddenly started reassembling itself into a being that the gargoyle had never seen before. It was very quickly overwhelmed by the husky single-handedly, but what if the next one would be bigger ? Who knew how many bones were left under that snow, or if the creator of this entity was innovative enough to just figure out another way of piecing together the broken remains. It was enough reason for Vaughtar to start fiddling around with the radio, that was quite small for his huge fingers, in order to give the safeguarding marines an update of their situation. They knew how to fight things - he could tell himself. "We just had an... incident over here. A smell skeletal thing assembled itself and got... killed." No proper callsigns or other indicators of radio discipline - where should he have acquired this knowledge ? Yet his voice probably was enough of a callsign by itself.

With his mood having experienced another significant drop due to their environment revealing its dangerous properties, Vaughtar turned to the small crowd that had started to form around him. He pointed at the roof, but it was obvious that he meant what was in the sky behind it. "The sun. I shouldn't be here! I should be a statue standing around somewhere until it's dark! It makes me feel sick..." He examined the folding chair Charles had come up with. "You sure this thing will stay in one piece when I use it ?" The gargoyle remembered the crushed crate only too well. "If I'm honest I'd really like to just put down and watch XIII or you do the remaining work. The more of this shitty daytime is done with the better I'll probably feel."
Going to post tomorrow - ran out of time for today.
@SunsetRoses When do you have time to finish the collab we're working on ?

@Meiyuki@shagranoz Same question essentially goes to you :D
Vaughtar being drunk scene... I can't deny that :D

I'll wait for @Eyeris to respond to his question first however.
