The shrouded figure began chanting quietly to themselves as they faced Kay's unconscious body. Having a phoenix in their grasp finally was something they just knew they had to make the most of. They planned on either using her as bait to draw the others out or just outright sending Kay into hell, but feeling the power and aura eminating from her human form was just too much of a temptation, they needed a taste of that power for themselves. If they could get a taste and become more powerful, then he wouldn't need to drag the mage that got bested by Bane and Fee out of Hell to complete their task.

They held their arms out toward Kay and with a few more words spoken, a bright golden light began flowing out of Kay and flow toward them, wrapping and warping round their arms toward their chest. They could almost taste the power already and it was exhilarating! The power hungry laugh couldn't be kept within them for long. As Kay's aura escaped her more, she began to stir awake from the pain and started screaming.
MIKA CHAMBERS

Mika watched the hex bag burn as she thought about what Dean had just said. She felt glad that she wasn't the only one who was thinking this was going too easily so far. Sure, the whole questioning victims families or useful people did usually go the easiest, but it still felt off somehow to her. After hearing that Esme and Cason ran into serious problems getting into this town, and that Nat's outside source warned them about all the literal and metaphorical barricades that were being planned to be thrown in their way, she expected so much more in the department of causing them a lot more trouble.

She nodded at him speaking up again, reiterating what he just said before continuing on with his guesses about what Sam and the others possibly would have found. "Yeah, Something just feels utterly off about this whole situation and yeah you're right, he probably has knowing him. He's got one hell of a knack for observation and noticing the tiny things that the rest of us don't" she replied, then got into the passenger side, closing the door behind her.

As Dean turned the engine over, bringing Baby roaring to life, she couldn't help but make a single glance toward the widow's house once more, remembering how distraught the woman looked in her face and demeanor. She really thought that look of grief would be burned into her memory for the rest of her life thanks to it being like she was looking in a mirror in those moments of questioning.

"I just hope that whatever twist comes our way it don't make us stick in town for a long time" she said to him, turning her head back forward again. She wanted out of this town in all honesty, but her work ethic just wouldn't let her up and run. So she would have to just swallow down her own thoughts and sympathies for the widow and get her mind back on track.

SAM AND NATALIA WINCHESTER

It didn't surprise either Sam or Natalia in some ways that Annabeth had expressed how the idea of witches being a big factor of this seal breaking scared her. She was new to this whole world in several ways, even though Sam seemed to remember that her mother was a hunter and their dad knew her to some degree. He remembered seeing his dad heading out with her mother and giving them the warning to stay at the motel that night, whilst he helped her mother look for her.

Yet she had also grown up with a demon without even knowing he was one because Cason for some unknown reason was actually protecting her from everything they knew truly existed in the world. Either way, he was glad that Annabeth had part of her life not tainted by this life, but now she was in deep and he felt sorry that she was thrown into the deep end of this life so quickly.

"burning witches ain't all that easy nowadays. They're much more evasive than back in the Salem Witch hunts days" Sam pointed out, "but we have dealt with witches before so fingers crossed they won't be too much trouble. We got witch killing bullets if all else fails" Natalia continued what Sam had started saying.

When it came regrouping at the motel, both Natalia and Sam knew it was the best option they had so far. They needed to share information with Mika and Dean and judging by the photo Mika had sent Sam, Sam knew there were similarities. He walked out of the school with the two girls, heading to Natalia's car that had seemed to gained the attention of a couple school kids, making him smirk. "Oi! Back up!" Natalia called out, putting on an authorative voice to show she was not prepared to piss about with these kids.

The kids quickly scarpered, but not before flipping her off with their middle fingers and laughing. "Bloody teenagers..." she grumbled, pulling her car keys out and unlocking the car for them to pile in, to which she wasted no time getting into the driver's side and bringing the engine to life as she waited for the other two to get inside.

Sam stood outside of the car and looked at Annabeth, "I'll keep you safe okay? I get you're scared but I won't let anything happen to you" he told her reassuringly.
Sam wondered what was going on and ran behind them but stopped dead in her tracks as she saw a portal in her backyard with John and Serena holding it open long enough to jump through without hesitation and disappearing into thin air. "what the actual hell??" she asked to herself, running her hand through her hair in disbelief that she just saw her guests and sister vanish from sight.

Kay laid limp over the shoulder of her attacker as they emerged on the other side of the portal. On the other side was a derelict tunnel that weaved and wove in all directions, becoming clear to anyone native in Seattle that these were the old underground tunnels that is not for general access for the most part. Weaving through, carefully treading their heavy boots on the rubble ground and finally reaching an old brittle wooden ladder going down another level, they carefully climbed down with Kay still in grip.

Reaching the lower level they hoisted Kay back down off their shoulder, placing her down on the ground whilst they grabbed the nearby dirty thick rope to which they used to wrap round Kay's wrists and then threw the other end up and over a beam. Grabbing the rope once again, they pulled hard on it, hoisting her up, making her dangle by her wrists, feet a good 4feet above the ground where they then tied the rope on a pillar as complex as possible.

Kay soon groaned as she started to come round slightly, her vision blurry as she computed what had happened. "w-what's..going on?" she mumbled. "oh, you're awake" the disguised figure said, walking up to her and looking up. "thought you'd be out longer than that, guess it's true that phoenix's don't remain unconscious for long" they said.

With her throbbing headache, she could barely focus on who took her and was struggling to even stay awake. She just hoped John and Serena would notice her absence. "t-they'll come...for m-me..." she stammered, "oh I'm hoping they will" they replied with a smirk. "y-you'll r--" she tried to say before passing back out again, her whole environment swimming and swaying, as if she was paraletically drunk as she did so.
What John said made Sam pause what she was doing and take in what she was told. Her sister chose to live on the streets alone, whilst being hunted instead of staying with her and hopefully being safe? It was a lot to accept and she couldn't imagine just how hard that life must have been. Yet it also made her respect John and Serena so much more as they literally took her in, and now it made sense to her why Kay told her that John saved her life.

Not only was Kay living on the streets a surprise to her, but sow as the news that the doctor from her childhood still being in work. "you know... I was the only one who truly believed her for the longest time that that guy was bad news. I'm glad he's been dealt with" she replied to them both honestly. "and now I know the truth about her, she never should have been sent there anyway. I always felt bad that it took me so long to convince our folks to get her away from there anyway" she added. "as for the streets thing? I'm shocked she chose that over staying with me, even if she has told me why she left. The idea of her spending all this time homeless.... I..." she began talking of the other matter discussed, but her voice broke off, unable to finish her sentence.

"I'm glad you two found her, thank you for saving her. I've never seen her attach to outside people like she has with you both. She loves you both dearly" she said, deciding to put a positive spin on her feelings.

Before Kay could put her phone away, she felt a massive hit on the back of her head, making her drop her phone on the ground and pass out into mysterious arms, that then swung her limp body over their shoulder and proceeded to disappear through a portal.
Kay hummed to herself as she took the trash out, taking note of how the weather was and refreshing the breeze was on her skin. She never realised how much she missed smelling the sea air of Seattle from where Sam lived, until now.

Sam looked between the two of them and rose an eyebrow. "nothing. I guess having her around brought back an old habit to ask her to do a chore. I know she's in safe hands with you both" Sam replied back, noting how the two of them suddenly suspicious that she had altefior motives for asking Kay to do something. Though, as she thought about it, she could see why they would think that.

"But I have to admit...how bad was her life before you found it? Between her leaving me and you finding her I mean.. She hasn't said anything to me but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to notice how wolfs down her meals like the food will be stolen from her if she doesn't" Sam added, deciding to take the moment to ask as she can. "and please don't sugarcoat it. I need to know" she added.

Kay found the bins a d lifted the heavy lid, throwing the bag in as she minded her own business. She figured Sam was possibly drilling Serena and John about her in some way, so she didn't make a point of being fast in her actions. Minding her own business, she didn't even hear the rustling in the bushes on the other side of the fence as she took this moment to snap some photos of Sam's garden for memory sake.
"it's fine Serena, I wanna do it. It's the least I can do for Sam" Kay replied after John told her not to overdo it. "and John's right, you need to not over do it" she added. She really didn't want her friend to start feeling weak and fragile again after everything she went through the day before.

Finishing her pancakes, still unable to truly take her time in eating, no matter how hard she tried telling herself she didn't need to speed eat, she stood up. "out the back you say?" she asked Sam. "yeah, it's just the one black bag in the corner there." Sam said, gesturing at the black bag by the back door.

Nodding in understanding, she instinctively gave John and Serena a pat on their shoulders to say she would be right back and walked to the bag, picking it up and opening the back door heading outside to the bins.
Sam nodded at John's thanks, "no problem" she replied to him as she continued on getting Kay's breakfast finished, refusing to let her sister leave before she ate something. "take all the time you guys need before heading out." she said after Serena.

When the pancakes were made, Sam handed Kay the plate to which she took gladly and grabbed a fork to start eating. "thanks Sam" she said after a mouthful, "you're welcome Kay" Sam replied. As she began eating, she realised the food was going down very well and was glad that she let her sister actually cook her something to eat.

"when you're done Kay, can you do me a favour and go out the back to take the trash out for me?" Sam eventually asked. "yeah sure, don't see why not" Kay said back between mouthfuls, and sipping her coffee.
Sam listened to Serena talk about the life her and the other two were well and truly in and nodded. She smiled as Serena said she would miss the shadows if she wasn't in the world, imagining how they could be missable. "I can imagine" she replied, piling more pancakes on a plate as Kay and John walked into the kitchen.

Kay stayed close to John when they walked into the kitchen and smiled as Sam pushed a plate of pancakes at them. "there's another plate coming, so decide between yourselves who gets that plate" Sam smirked. "I can wait, John you take it" Kay spoke as she walked over to the now brewed coffee, pouring herself a cup.
"eh, I'm just being me. You're friends of Kay and you've done more for me by bringing her here so I know she's alive, than I've ever done for you guys" Sam replied to Serena, "but as for your other question, probably not. Lara won't handle it. So for the time being it's not worth telling her. Especially as I'm still processing everything Kay is in particular myself" she added in explanation.

When John said the big L word before she did, it took her by surprise and made her freeze in her spot in front of him for a split second. She never thought in a million years he'd be the kind of man to openly say those to another person. When the words properly processed in her mind, she smiled and instantly kissed him, letting it linger for a few seconds before pulling away. "so...fancy some of Sam's amazing pancakes?" she asked smiling broadly, a smile that eminated in her eyes.
When Lexi started cursing from the throbbing pain in her toe, she didn't even think about the possibility of waking either of the brother's up, not realising how much her cursing might possibly echo through the halls. So when Dean came in and opened her bedroom door with gun in hand, thinking there was some kind of major threat coming at her, she felt a little foolish if she was truthful to herself. Looking up at Dean, she saw how panicked he was before beginning to calm down seeing she was in one piece.

"I'm fine, just stubbed my toe on the end of the bed. I am so sorry for waking you up." she replied to him, only now realising that she was still in a towel and not much more making her glad she wasn't someone who was completely shy about herself, even if it was slightly embarrassing to some degree. "I just really needed a shower when I woke up and....well, yeah...here I am now" she added, giving him a sheepish smile.

"How'd you sleep?" she asked him, hoping that in her deep sleep in his room, that he wasn't too plagued with nightmares or grief and she didn't wake up to be able to help him through it. She knew it could be hit or miss if one got a calm night's sleep when they went through what he was, and she hoped not having her in his room was too much of a bother either. "I should also apologise for falling asleep in your room, wasn't my intent to take up half your bed" she then said once more, yet again finding something to apologise for.

As she spoke to him she got herself dressed in the most dignified way she possibly could without losing her towel in the process. As it came to having to drop the towel to get her bra and shirt on, she turned her back to Dean. Unlike Mika's back, Lexi's back was scar and tattoo free. In fact, she didn't have any tattoos whatsoever, not even a anti possession tattoo like the boys had, though she had to admit that it was a good idea what they had, and told herself that one day she would actually get it done just for that extra bit of protection.

Sam in his room, had woken up from Lexi's cursing and he was ready to get up to check on her when he heard Dean was already there, which made him smile slightly to himself so he did the only thing he felt like doing- turning over and closing his eyes yet again. He knew he could have just got up and checked on his friend, but he also was wanting Dean to be focused on anything or anyone to help him get out of his understandable funk. They had lost lost ones and family before, Mika was another one on that list, and he knew it was different for Dean in a lot of ways, but he also knew Dean couldn't live his life grieving her.

"I really hope you're okay with Dean spending time with Lexi Mika, she's making him smile and joke again. But we'll always miss you Meeko...the place is far too quiet without you around" Sam quietly spoke out to air, unaware that Mika's spirit really was able to come and go without alerting them to her presence. Yet part of him felt like the bunker would always have a little bit of Mika around, no matter what.

"I know Sammy, I can see that and that's all I want....for him to be happy again." Mika replied as she stood by his door listening to him speak out to her. Something she hadn't seen or heard him do for quite some time. "I want you happy too Sammy, you'll always be my little brother" she added.

Sam looked up and towards his door, swearing he could feel he wasn't alone in the room when Mika spoke, but he couldn't see or hear anything yet something told him it was Mika as the vibe that felt like family. It was warm and an air of love from family. Smiling to himself, he laid his head back down. "Meeko if that's you...you don't need to watch over me" he commented.
