In the depths of unconsciousness, the party finds rest. They don't know how long they've slept, but they do come to consciousness when they hear...humming?

They open their eyes to see three large iron cages hanging from wooden beams that extend out from this balcony over the lake below. Trapped inside one of the cages with Jub is a smiling satyr, "Hello there!" he says.

Aurora and Brutrumukk are trapped in a second cage, while Gabriel and Zavakri are trapped in a third one. All three of these cages dangle out from a cottage wall and over swampy waters...

We don't have to worry about battle anymore.
Got the actions, movements, and rolls for the Brigands, and they have officially won.

But not to worry! The story is not over yet, your characters still live!

And there is a perk to losing. I'll get the next DM Post for when your characters wake up posted soon.

Agdon Longscarf laughed as he watched the party take the blows and he called out to the bandits, "Nice job, boys!"

He was clearly listening to his allies, because he raced over to Gabriel next. He smirked at the bard and he mocked, "And you called me talentless?" He then moved to strike Gabriel with the red hot branding iron.

Gabriel managed to dodge the first strike, but the second strike landed right on Gabriel's forehead. Just like Aurora, Gabriel passed out from the searing hot pain.

Agdon next swiped something from his finger, and ran back to his allies, this time not running as far away.

One Brigand took this opportunity to run past Gabriel and focus his ire on Jub! He swung his club at the small goblin and it struck him!

The rest flung rocks and other ammunition from their slings. The rocks instantly pelted Jub and he too fell unconscious. Aurora managed to dodge some of them, but one good rock to the head was enough to knock her out again.

The last she heard was cheering and whooping from the Brigands before unconsciousness takes her...

Terrain Rules!

The wooden causeways are 5 feet wide and in poor shape. Characters who walk across the planks are assumed to be taking care to avoid unsafe areas. If a character runs across the planks, roll a d8 at the end of the character's turn. On a 7 or 8, part of the causeway falls away beneath the character, who must succeed on a DC 10 Dexterity saving throw to avoid falling off the plank and into the bog. While prone in the muck, the character is restrained. A character can use an action to try to free itself or another creature from the muck, doing so with a successful DC 10 Strength (Athletics) check.

Movement: Moves 30 feet to attack Gabriel. Then Moves 25 feet back after attacking and using his bonus action.

Action: Multiattack with the Branding Iron to Gabriel!
First Branding Iron to hit: 15.
Disadvantage: 9. Missed!

Second Branding Iron to hit: 19 Hits!

Damage: 14 Fire Damage. Gabriel is now unconscious!

Bonus Action Quick Fingers: Again, not even going to roll with how Gabriel is now unconscious. He steals the Antiquated Signet Ring.

Harengon Brigands' Turn

Movement: 1 Harengon moved thirty feet to attack Jub with a club! Two brigands move thirty feet to get closer, and the rest will stay in place to fire their slings!

First Harengon Club attack to Jub: 23 Hit!
Damage: 3 Bludgeoning Damage
Jub is now at 8 HP!

Second Harengon Brigand Sling attack to Jub: 20 Hit!
Damage: 5 Bludgeoning Damage.
Jub is now at 3 HP!

Third Harengon Brigand Sling attack to Jub: 21
Damage: 5 Bludgeoning Damage. Jub is also unconscious, but not in danger of dying.

Fourth Harengon Brigand Sling to Aurora: 8 Missed!
Disadvantage due to Dodge Action: 15
