Summer break is upon me! Woo Hoo! Roleplaying, Warhammer (Age of Sigmar), writing a book, and the gym are my main activities for the next nine weeks.

I am a veteran of the United States Army and the US Army National Guard. I spent three years on Active Duty serving in the 4th Infantry Division (Mechanized) at Ft. Carson, CO, and the 3rd Armor Division at Kirch Göns, West Germany. I spent 18 years in the Army National Guard with the 26th Infantry Division "Yankee" and 29th Infantry Division (Light), "The Blue and the Gray". I was deployed to Bosnia-Herzegovina with the 29th ID (L) in 2001 - 2002. I have also been reading military history articles and books for 50 years. I do prefer Military Role Plays over all other genres, primarily because I have a vast knowledge of the subject including personal experiences. At the very least, my characters are always veterans.
I have been writing for pleasure for at least 35+ years but only got into forum-based Role Playing about fifteen years ago. I do enjoy Nation Role Plays and get into minute detail when designing my military. The only reason I enjoy excruciating detail in my militaries is because for me, it is fun. My education and experience on this subject afford me the insight to see the depth of the structure. It is not just a General and a large pile of soldiers. If someone wants assistance in designing an army, navy, or air force, please send me a PM. I will help. Please specify what level (echelon) or depth you would like me to go. When I say echelon, I mean Army, Corps, Division, Brigade/Regiment, Battalion/Squadron, Company/Troop/Battery, Platoon, and Squad/Section.
When I was a student in High School, I used to play Dungeons & Dragons (Edition 1 & 2). Later editions came out after I quit that game. Recently, I have been DMing a 5e campaign of my creation for my son and his friends. 5e is so much less cumbersome than earlier editions of D&D. I do have an interest in Tolkien-esque fantasy-styled Role Plays as well. Time travel has always been a fun genre for me, but to do it well, one must have a firm grasp of historical facts. I love doing this form of role play, especially since I have a solid foundation on the past.
There are only a few fanfictions I will participate in; Star Wars and Star Trek are two of them. I want to do an exclusively Klingon RP one of these days. I also avoid Canon characters.
I have real-world martial arts experience. I would love to write an RP about hand-to-hand combat, no fantasy magic chit, just hands elbows, knees, and feet. Maybe the occasional head butt thrown in to mix things up. I trained in Krav Maga for six and a half years. I earned a first-degree black belt in Krav Maga on 3 June 2017.
Krav Maga is an Israeli martial art form that employs practical self-defense techniques drawing forms & techniques from Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Taekwando. It is very brutal, demanding, and aggressive. During the seven years I trained, I have bruised two ribs, sustained several muscle pulls, and various lacerations and bruises over my body. I have received a sprained ankle and a fractured wrist. Before the first black belt test, I received a bone bruise to my right shin; where my roundhouse kicks impact. Yet, I am stupid enough to continue training. [Regardless of the physical pain, it is more fun than any other physical activity I have engaged in. Fortunately, the bone bruise healed up prior to the third and final test. EDIT: I did leave the sport over four years ago. :(]
Almost two years ago I completed my first novel, a science fiction set in the 24th century. It focuses on a Private Military Corporation solely employed by the earth government. I started a second book in November 2022 and hope to work on that this summer when I have more time.

Kayliss has green scales hardened to withstand heavy blows; edged weapons cannot penetrate. Her armored hide is comparable in color to jade crystals. Her swept-back horns measure roughly 14” and are a pristine white, which she has taken the time to polish. She keeps her horns as shiny of white as she can. It is one of her signature items. Her tail is slenderer than most Dranfel measuring five feet in length and ending in a spade-shaped tip. The dorsal or back side of the tail is covered in triangular-shaped spikes with barbs at the tips. Her golden-colored eyes pierce the darkness allowing her improved vision in darkened environs. She wears an olive-green flight suit stitched in leather and polyester fabrics. It is double stitched to remain durable when she is active. Her helmet is custom built to fit over her blunt snout with slots for her horns to stick out the rear. Even her aircraft has been altered to accommodate her size.
Kailiss is a very confident young dragon at 98 years of age. While many dragons live on into their thousands, Kailiss is in her prime. She has a sense of superiority about herself and her race in general, considering many other races inferior. Hers is a warrior race, and believes flying is her special skill. With an arrogant disposition towards herself, she can be supporting to those she feels needing a boost.
Born on Cora 3 to a good family that insured their offspring were responsible, contributing characters to society. Kayliss has three brothers, Dorneit, Bandit and Jursig who have served in Dranfel Infantry formations. Dorneit and Jursig are still living and serving. Bandit died during the Balis incursion.
Kayliss is an excellent athlete. She excelled at sports as a young Dranfel, very competitive and working her hardest to excel and win. She often competed against male opponents and won occasionally. She played a game called Latchkis, similar to a combination of soccer and rugby, where tackling is permitted. The game is very physical with players often suffering fractured bones or losing scales.
Kayliss trained to fly jets when she was 93 and took to it immediately. She flew for the Coran Air Force for a time. When the war started, Cora did not immediately get involved. Kayliss sought out combat with an organization that would see combat. This is how she ended up in Onyx Squadron. Eventually, Cora did enter the war on the side of the resistance. Her brothers signed up with the 7th Coran Infantry Regiment and have seen extensive combat. She lost her youngest brother, Bandit during combat on Balis. She was not available during that action. The loss of her brother has left her slightly bitter but holds onto her positive attitude. She does possess anger towards the Empire, wishing to see them all die.
The Mithria Arsenal AS-96-T Wildcat Tactical Aerospace Fighter was one of five hundred originally sold to the Dranfel on Cora 3. Mithria Arsenal modified the cockpit escape pods to accommodate the larger build of the DRanfel. They sacrificed some room in the pilot’s storage compartment, but it still left room for a few minimal survival tools.
Kayliss’ Wildcat and gained the nickname Wild Drake. It was her preference. She had painted an open mouth with sharpened teeth along the nose cowling and Green dragon wings across the dorsal side of the wings. These were her markings denoting this ship belonged to her. She loved her Wild Drake. Also, there is a slot built into the seat to insert the Dranfel tail. Her helmet also accommodates her horns with slots in the back for them to protrude through.

Also the payload packages are my insane requirement of being prepared for anything. Obviously there are many other set ups that can be used. I like to add at least one hardpoint of short range AAW missiles to each package in case the sortie turns into a dogfight.

"Hey, whatever that is, it smells mighty good.” Yuri the new mechanic commented on the beef stew simmering on the stove. “Any chance I could get a bowl?"
“Sure thing. Help yahself.” Joe flipped the next card over. It was the six of spades, which he promptly placed on the seven of hearts. Then moved the five of diamonds off its stack onto the six. When he flipped over the top card from where the five came from, it was an ace which went to the top of the table. Then he revealed the king of diamonds which went into the open space on the left. Next a two went onto the ace and the final card to flip in that stack was the King of spades, which ended that round.
When Yuri asked about helping him and Ms. Wyman with weapons handling, it caught Joe's attention. Joe put the deck on the table and looked up. “Mistah Yoo-Ree? You wanna learn ta shoot a gun?” Obviously, that was what Yuri was asking. “Do yaw wanna shoot a pistol or a rifle? The process is similar but the handlin’ is a bit differen’. I have both.” Joe stepped away from the table and pulled his Ruger out of its holster. “Lesson one, treat all weapons as though they are loaded, unless ye know.” With that said, he popped the cylinder out of the frame and tapped the six .44 caliber cartridges into his open hand. He placed the bullets on the galley table, then looked into the empty cylinders. He walked closer to Yuri and showed him it was empty. “To load it,” he promptly reached back for the bullets on the table and picked them up. “Place each one into the cylinder one at a time or you can pre-load six rounds into a speed loader to make it faster. You need only line up the heads with the holes and pull on the back ah the speed loader. The bullets all drop into the cylinder.”
“Wait! We need Ms. Wyman too. Less go fin’ ‘er.” He holstered his pistol, then took another gulp of coffee, preparing to walk out of the galley with Yuri.

I would love to write an RP about hand-to-hand combat, no fantasy magic chit, just hands elbows, knees, and feet. Maybe the occasional head butt thrown in to mix things up. I trained in Krav Maga for six and a half years. I earned a first-degree black belt in Krav Maga on 3 June 2017. <br><br>Krav Maga is an Israeli martial art form that employs practical self-defense techniques drawing forms & techniques from Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Taekwando. It is very brutal, demanding, and aggressive. During the seven years I trained, I have bruised two ribs, sustained several muscle pulls, and various lacerations and bruises over my body. I have received a sprained ankle and a fractured wrist. Before the first black belt test, I received a bone bruise to my right shin; where my roundhouse kicks impact. Yet, I am stupid enough to continue training. [Regardless of the physical pain, it is more fun than any other physical activity I have engaged in. Fortunately, the bone bruise healed up prior to the third and final test. EDIT: I did leave the sport over four years ago. :(]<br><br>Almost two years ago I completed my first novel, a science fiction set in the 24th century. It focuses on a Private Military Corporation solely employed by the earth government.
