And back I am. Exhausted, certainly, and may need a while for that to wear off, but I'm once more here to read and even write!

There's a lot of backlog here on my end. I'm trying my best to lessen it, but replies might be less frequent for a time. A welcome change from the nothing doing I went through though! Thanks partners!

I suppose it is about time for me to copypaste fill in some information about myself over here just as well. Only took me a few years to getting around to do it.
I am a married individual in my twenties from the country some people dare claim does not exist. The Finland conspiracy is an old joke, you can stop with it now. Not a native speaker of the English language by any means, though I did begin studying it exceptionally early for our country's standards. I suppose it was some sort of a test case. With that out of the way though, what more should I be saying here...
I like being nice to people. If one needs to ask why, well that alone is reason enough.
I play and Dungeon Master Dungeons and Dragons, both offline and in the past also over here.
I enjoy OOC chatter, be it planning the RP or a more casual exchange (not that RP'ing is that serious). I can make do without, but don't be afraid to talk to me.
Whatever the case, I'm here to have fun and hone my writing abilities!
I do think that should about cover it, yes.
Thanks for stopping by I suppose! I do also have a Discord account, but I prefer to start anything RP related on the site. At least with people I don't know from the past, that is! But hey, now if you are a longer time contact of mine and happened to read this, now you know and can ask!
With the member of the cult closest to threatening to reward any attempt of escape with a slash of her weapon taken care of, the woman slumping down while Kyra turned tail to run, the remaining cultists set to enacting their revenge. "Leonard! Wrap around the tent, stop their advance!" the man already inside shouted to the one on the door while he charged the half-orc. Despite how reckless the green skinned hero had been in his earlier strike, luck was on his side as the cultist's weapon would shred the roof of the tent before halting as it suddenly his a support instead of its intended target. The frantic assailant was quick to recover, but their chance to land an attack was long gone.
The other man did as called for however, taking off after the escaping priestess, only to find himself another target closer by in the blue haired halfling woman handling a flask of oil. That would certainly explain the burning tents. "For Tiamat's Glory!" the man bellowed as he swung the sword he held in both of his hands at the bard. However, the attack was more enthusiastic than actually dangerous, being so telegraphed that even the most newbish of combatants could have seen it coming and sidestepped it. And that was what would happen, the blade cutting naught but air.
The cultists suck. Okay, with that out of the way, the first one moved up to Orchid and missed his advantaged (thank Reckless attack) strike against Orchid with rolls of 5 and 8. The other one rushed around the tent to Parum's position and attempted to strike her, only to miss with another 8.
Orchid makes it into the tent and lands his attack. It, regrettably, fails to kill his target, though it does severely maim the screaming cultist woman. @Lucius Cypher
As the bear carrying the prisoner rushed away, shouts came from behind. "Over here! They are trying to breach through!", "To arms! To arms!", "For Tiamat's glory!" and "Run them down! Nobody leaves!" forming the majority of them. Despite the great luck the heroes of Greenest had had, they were hardly free to go quite yet. Three more cultists had already caught up to them, and only more were to come. There would not be time to take all of them down, nor would any sane man even consider such an act possible, especially not with the tall figure of the blue half-dragon dressed in purple rushing through the crowd at great speed, pushing many of his own underlings aside as he gripped the handle of his halberd.
The the great luck of Kyra, the one who was hanging far back enough for the enemy to be able to reach, they could only make it to her instead of quite yet unleashing their assault upon her person. Of the three arrivals, two entered the tent while the last one stayed at the exit, and one of them even made it all the way next to the bow wielding cleric. "Prepare to die, nonbeliever!" the woman screamed in the pink-haired one's face, already preparing to swing her blade.
Three more low ranking members of the cult enter the combat, putting Kyra (@Norschtalen) into a tough spot. I am afraid I have not been able to recover my map files yet, but a cultist indeed stands just outside the front flap, other just inside and the third has caught up to Kyra inside the tent, while she was looking for supplies to set the place into an even worse condition. It appears such an ambition might be difficult to achieve with the tide of enemies rolling in.
From Judgement's point of view, which exiting path is of the least resistance?
Straight forward, through the path Brannor has cut open.
Should be noted that I need to hijack the initiative at next count 20, so I would like to ask @Lucius Cypher to wait until I have had a chance to act after Torus!
The heat of the guild hall was quite welcome a change to the billowing winds that kept the rest of Vael Turog in their grasp, the half-orc needn't admit silently. He let out an audible sigh of relief as they could leave the elements behind, though before he had had any chance to move on, Scrapmouse had taken point and was waving something in the face of the local Guildmaster.
The goliath had nodded at her confirmation regarding the two earlier arrivals having something to do with this group, but only by the point he took the symbol into his own hands did his expression truly change. "One of the elite, I see. Your name was... well, it is not your name, but you are known as Scrapmouse, wasn't that it?" the man mused, handing the small emblem back to the gnome and brushing something away from under his nose with his fist. All the guildmasters tried to remember the elite symbols and who they stood for, but the important thing was their material. That was what told that they were indeed gentlepersons of great skill.
On request for his name, the Guildmaster shook his head. "It is not of much importance. I am just a Guildmaster here. I have not sought to better myself like my people, and so I do not have the right to a traditional name. I have also seen getting a new one to be much more of a bother than it is of value", he explained, Marcus's face quickly adopting the expression of surprise.
Another man that had chosen to abandon the traditional heritage of his people? He could not say that he knew how goliaths traditionally behaved, but it appeared this one was disowned. "So... Guildmaster", he began to request, but the large man was quick to wave his hand to dismiss the rest of it.
"These two hasty gentlemen have already told me. You seek information about where you can get clothes to endure the weather, and once you are done with that more information about the giants and the dragon. There is not much I can tell about the latter that you might not already know, but I will help you where I can. You seem capable enough to perhaps even return." The attitude the man exhibited had made almost a complete one-eighty as he had seen how an already renowned healer was in a group with not only an elite adventurer, but a Hammer of Grimjaws just as well.
"So let us begin with the clothes. Given many of the people that make it here already have their own, the only group that remains to whom they need to be sold to locals after wear and tear, or more prominently adventurers arriving through unusual means. We more than likely stock what you need. The question is, however, whether you want them to be tailored coats or more akin to heavy travelling cloaks? We have found that the people in who value their mobility prefer the cloaks, but they are not quite as warm as the coats. And of course, fitting a full plate mail under a coat would be quite the feat..."
Once that business would be concluded however, the Guildmaster would ask everyone to gather around one of the tables. He would just need to fetch something from his archives. Once everyone was settled, the man would return, now for the first time showing himself also from the waist down. His entire right leg had been replaced with a solid wooden carved counterpart, and his every step clacked against the floor.
A few scrolls were laid on the table, recorded from earlier adventurers for posterity was what he would tell before starting to turn away again. "My memory is not perfect, so it might be for the best for you to gather that information on your own from these records. They are the best we can offer." With that, he nodded and began clacking his way back behind the counter.
The coats and cloaks cost 10gp and 5gp respectively. Marcus purchases a cloak for himself.
With the locals sufficiently impressed, the party has acquired a collection of records gathered from outpost sentries and those few who returned fro their journey into the den of giants and a dragon alike.
