Hot dogs are already cooked. Might as well just sear them to add flavor.

If you take college seriously, it opens doors. Harvard and Hopkins makes it easier, but you can do well anywhere.

Prefer to brainstorm on Discord for that reason.

Busy week. I apologize for my lull here and I hope to have some time this morning.
Plot bus needs to leave the terminal. Sorry for anyone we're leaving behind, but if you want to catch up, that's fine.
I think at this juncture, we lost Vowel and Necrophage never put in a character. I'm going to switch back over to 'recruiting' and see if a really awesome someone might decide to throw in since the plot really does have room for one more.

But yes, let's get the plot bus out of the terminal.
Mk. III armor was pretty rugged, though Mk. II is extremely good quality, but maintenance intensive. If maintained well, he's probably fine on the armor front.
We should play the encounter with actual demons for the sanity-bending event that it is. I tried to make sure I was doing the Bloodletters right and I think I will take a casualty or two here.

What @Bright_Ops did gave us some much-needed challenge to the first scene. Suddenly, taking out those officers...well, they now discover that in desperation, adherents to the Dark Gods can sell themselves quickly, sell others out as sacrifices and bring much more potent foes to the battlefield. This should make all future encounters uneasy. And yeah, there is no Ordo Malleus and Space Marines, particularly these Space Marines, are not immune.
The Sons of Horus were the arch-traitor legion, though Lorgar's Word Bearers planted the seeds, but they had one of the best records of them all in the Great Crusade. Cthonian ferocity was harnessed into the legion, supplementing the gene-seed-implanted ferocity of the original Terrans that made such an impact on the Luna campaigns.

Under Horus, they were throat-slitting killers whose instincts were put into the service of Humanity. But they also venerated their Primarch, shouting "LUPERCAL!" as they sprung into battle. Some of that was on display as the small group of Luna Wolves in this ragged band handled the perimeter duty and silenced sentries brutally with fist and knife, which was a return to the hive gang war tactics some of the recruits, had they said anything of their origins, might have learned in their upbringing. But now, they faced a different situation and a tactical shift was in order as the noise came from the Chateau and the bolters were unlimbered as they loped toward their final target, approaching the Rhinos that the Dark Angel guarded.

Prodigal Son may well have been a silent leader, at least to the outsiders, but he was a tactician to the bone, and he'd positioned himself to come to the aid of other Space Marines when the unexpected happened. They would never say the name of their Primarch at all, but they still knew how to fight.

A bolter shell was a mass-reactive shell that left a horrific and gory wound that was terminal, particularly to a normal human being like the militiamen. And yet, the fire did not bring the enemies down; his own bolt barked out of the barrel and found its mark, except the mark was growing exponentially, expanding like a balloon, with red-glowing eyes and eldritch energy encircled them at wrists and ankles, hauling them into the air. There was a scream of ethereal rage as these human beings twisted beyond comprehension and sanity, to the horror of the Astartes near the rhinos, veterans of the Crusade and even the opening blows of the Heresy, were unfamiliar with.

They had seen mutations, but this was different and smelled of sorcery; the men burst into a spray of blood and from the spray of blood, suspended in the air, came a portal. And from that portal came, howling, sword-bearing horrors that rushed at them with a terrible ferocity and speed. The flamer carried by one of their number unleashed in a long burst, trying to catch them as the bolters were fired rapidly. A piece of the Prodigal Son's mind gibbered, but the other part bellowed "AND YOU WILL KNOW NO FEAR."

But if the bolter fire shredded the first ranks, multiple hits ensuring that they stayed down, there were enough left to engage the rest of Prodigal Son's small detachment. The Luna Wolves were fluid and instinctive in their shift of weaponry, from the ranged combat role into preparation to defend in close combat, and ferocious in meeting the charge. It was chainswords against those demonic blades, even while the whispers rang in their ears, calling them to their rage...
Okay, I will be making a post, either today or tomorrow. Had a lot of things happening this week. Just a short question for the post I am about to write though, what is the extent of Nemsemet's ability that lets him keep all of the supernaturals in New Camden? How far does it spread? I have no idea what the plans are with regards to that so I feel like I have to ask first before I make my post. Thanks.

Anyone that knows about him cannot leave New Camden or try to communicate with anyone outside of New Camden about him. It's as strong a piece of magic as it sounds and is way beyond the normal scope of sorcery as any practitioners understand it.

Can we get a post progress update? A couple haven't gotten their first posts in and we're hitting that point where it feels like we need to turn a page here.
So there would be weapon smuggling and weapon 'smuggling.' Good sideline for risk takers looking to make money and brownie points.
Sounds good. I'm just curious about the dimension beyond crewing the ship, and the politics of the situation. It sounds like the alternative to invasion by ship, which sounds like a logistically unlikely scenario, is to encourage revolts from within and play factional politics. It seems like the hegemonic powers probably have robust intelligence and diplomatic operations to this end, the way the Brits played factional games in lesser powers in the 19th century, notably the parts of India and China they didn't control. Covert assets would probably have to be of the sleeper variety and would be entrusted with a lot of discretion in carrying out their orders and building their networks over decades given the limitations of communications.
