Criston and Ayane

"Ahhh... Now that, that is an interesting story. You see here, Ryuu, it all started with a certain Skylark." He told him, lowering his voice in case she happened to be within ear shot, as she almost always was.

Ayane was still confused and now had a rather large looking at her weirdly. She squirmed under his gaze, suddenly realizing every small detail she hated about her body, including the small shimmers of scales that appeared on her shoulders when she's nervous.

"See, I just wanted some music to pump everyone up, you know? I'm pretty sure 16 year old high school students don't want to listen to... whatever she had going. I mean, hell... Anime music would be better, yanno? At least that would get my blood pumping. So, When Carmen stormed out of here after breaking all the equipment, I was... uh... distraught. Until!" Criston explained, pausing for effect, "Wait until you hear this..." He paused again, "Ayane here fixed our problem! You see, you hear that lovely music? Well, it's coming from a conch Ayane here provided, and damn does it fill the room!" He finished, grinning to himself.

Ayane listened, still suspicious of the man Criston called Ryuu who was still, for whatever reason, staring at her. She put on the best smile she could manage and waved at him slightly before pulling her shaking hand back down to her side.

Criston, meanwhile, had forgotten to introduce Ayane to Ryuu and in looking around the room to demonstrate to Ryuu, he remembered something very suddenly. He noticed it as he turned his head back to Ryuu. Slowly, his head rotated back and he lifted him self a little straight to see who it was. Yeah... Sure enough. It was Kathy and Crash. Criston forced a smile onto his face as they were too close for him to run away. Besides, Ryuu and Ayane would notice and tell them and...

Shit...

He prepared himself for what was to come, preparing for painful smiles and sinking hearts. Ayane, meanwhile, was looking to and from Ryuu and Criston again, hoping Criston would notice her. After a few moments, she tugged at his coat. He didn't move... She tugged a little harder. Still nothing... She stepped forward to get a better grip to tug just a little harder but managed to step on her dress and began falling.

Ayane closed her eyes to prepare for the impact but her side was only met with warmth. Confused, she opened her eyes to see the ceiling with Criston watching the crowd silently. His whole body seemed to be tense but he'd still managed to catch her as she fell.

He felt the tug every time but couldn't bring himself to take his eyes off of the two making their way around the ballroom. He was trying to discern if they were or were not holding hands, something he desperately wished wasn't happening. But when he noticed something blue begin to tumble in front of his, his arms reflexively extended and he caught her, pulling her up in a sort of 'princess' carry, still watching those two.

Maggie was taken a back for a moment before realizing that, yes indeed, no one needed to see this small... girl. She looked around for somewhere to hide her. She didn't really have any pockets or anything...

Maggie huffed before lifting up her apron. "It's a little dirty, but I promise I won't drop you." She told Lux, feeling a bit anxious about all of this. She put the apron down level with Lux and if Lux got on, she'd lift it again, hoping that it didn't jostle her too much.

Eva stood outside, having watched the sun rise early that morning. She held a bowl of the cereal she'd brought with her. It was less sweet and more spicy than the cereal Elizabeth was sure to have stocked. Lazily, she popped another piece into her mouth. She hated eating cereal with milk ever since she accidentally put orange juice in there one time. Since then, she's preferred it dry just to avoid the risk. Plus the milk down-played the spices. She was standing on one foot, the other bent and resting on her leg. Her father had always told her he didn't know where she got her balance from, but he was jealous. She even tried to teach him once, but that ended poorly. He'd spent the next few weeks in bed with a sore back from falling so much. Mom had yelled at them both for the next month or so about it whenever she found an opportunity.

Now that she thought about them some more, she realized how much she missed them. She had to fight back the tears. She wouldn't cry again. Granny would have her head if she knew. Eva shook her head and turned back to head inside and put the bowl away but stopped when she noticed people in the kitchen.

Blinking with a blank look on her face, Eva watched some of the interaction. Deciding that nothing of real interest was going on, Eva decided to barge in and see if she couldn't make things more interesting. Popping another piece of her cereal in her mouth, she opened the door to the living room and stepped inside, crunching on the cereal. With almost ghost like foot steps, she padded her way over to the other two and smiled.

"Good morning." She greeted them, even her voice sounding lazy. "Woah, you managed to get that piece of shit working again?" She exclaimed, looking at Josh. "I spent like 10 minutes early this morning trying to get it to work and then gave up. I was pretty sure it was broken." She laughed, the sound echoing around the mostly empty space.

The kitchen was mostly white with specks of black and gray in the marble counter tops. The only splashes of color in the room were the plants you seemed to be able to find everywhere in this house. On the other side of the sink, next to the fridge, was a basket of wild flowers that seemed to brighten the room all on their own. That was enough to at least make the room tolerable for Eva.

"Mind pouring me a pot, Josh? Don't worry about putting anything in it, I like it black." she told him. She turned her attention to Alyx who she, in a joking way, looked up and down. "Wow, so even you don't wake up that way. I'm impressed." She joked, winking at Alyx. She laughed a bit at her own bad joke before continuing, "How was last night? I didn't get in until late so I just stayed up."

And it was true, Eva actually didn't get much sleep last night, even if she'd wanted to. She kept thinking about her grandmother, and that woman and her husband, trying to steal her away. The poor girl that was with them, Ana? Eva would have hated to be her, essentially thrown away by what you've thought all your life to be your parents. How could they even begin to do that to her? Needless to say Eva had had a long day and an even longer night, not that she'd admit that to anyone.

...I posted. o-o;

I could see a way to post for Jason, otherwise I would have posted for Lily and Criston. But I still need a Ryuu post of some sort before I can have Criston and Ayane react and then react to Kathy and Crash. I don't want to skip over Ryuu's reaction.

Jason

At the sound of his son's voice and the tab on his shoulder, Jason wheeled around, which was probably a bad move on his part because now he was losing his balance and the room was spinning. He steadied himself on a nearby table after teetering for a few seconds.

"Edric!" He shouted, a half smile on his face now, the lady's sunglasses now irrelevant to him. As Edric spoke, Jason's manners changed. His smile faded and he stopped moving around so much and he had to fight the urge to fall to the ground in a giant man-heap. "Lily? But... April wouldn't need to change her name, would she? Why would she change her name, Edric?" He completely glossed over the 'amnesia' bit, more concerned over the fact that it seemed his wife really was trying to hide from him.

Part of him was just glad she was alive, but another part of him, the selfish part of him, felt betrayed. It felt like his heart was ready to stop beating at any moment, as if everything was slowing down around him. But at the tip of all of those emotions, was the relief that at least she was alive.

Suddenly, Jason remembered the sunglasses girl. He turned to her, his heart still hurting but the pain had seemed to sober him up quite a bit. "I'm terribly sorry about this, Miss. We'll... We'll just be on our way." He told her, suddenly grabbing Edric and walking out. "You have to help me find her, Edric. Even if it's just seeing her, I'll know." He explained, speaking to his son as they walked down the hall.

@HylianRose miss you too boo </3 would you like one of us to post to get the ball rolling then? I'd be happy to do it.

That would be lovely. Feel free to create or move previously established NPCs too. I trust you all. I'll try to slip in posts when I can.
I've spent the past 2 hours in the library and have only gotten about 3/4 of the way through day one of my three day lesson plan.

This is torture.

I miss you guys. >.>

@mnkee Please do. I'm pretty freaking swamped. Life has decided to hit me from all directions this semester testing me in ways I would have never considered possible. So... stress levels are high on this end. But know that it's not just you. I haven't been able to make a post for literally anything. I haven't pulled out my laptop in like... months.
