It's summer and you and your friends are ready to relax and play some games at the Sumpter Estate, a summer home owned by one of the groups more wealthy members. Elizabeth Sumpter has invited all of the group to the estate for the entire 100 days of summer before college or real life begins. Many of the group are splitting up so this get together will be the last hoorah before the group splits for their own paths in life.

The home itself sits on the coast of North Carolina in a small city called Elizabeth City (Not named for Elizabeth Sumpter). It sits on open country side with the Pasquotank River (Called Passie River by the group) nearby.

It's day one and Elizabeth waits for her friends to arrive!

Above is the Sumpter Summer Estate, owned an operated by the Sumpter family. The only adults in the entire estate for the summer will be the maids and cooks, with the head of the house being Madam Kleine, an old woman who seems to be rather relaxed for her position.

On the first floor is the lobby plus a lounge area, the dining hall, and a kitchen. Below, in the basement, is the cellar as well as the housing for the help (some of them live here, others live in small houses around the estate). On the second floor are all of the rooms, an assortment of different guest rooms. On the left side of the house (left as pictured) are two rooms for pairs to live and on the right is the greenhouse room where a plethora of plants are kept.

At the back of the house is a pool with slide and diving board, as well as ladders. Around the pool are an assortment of outdoor, poolside seating with a blue stone fire-pit in the center.

Beyond the pool is the estate's larger garden where tomatoes, corn, squash, green beans, peas, and apples are grown.

Hello and Welcome to 100 Days of Summer!

It's fine. I went to dinner and have been playing Harvest Moon in the meantime, so ye. My horse finally matured. .-.
@Raddum Small but ye. .-.
Christopher honestly wanted very badly to speak on his friend's account, but couldn't for the life of him trust himself enough not to make an utter fool of himself. Eliza didn't dare speak because she felt, even though she knew him very well, she didn't know him deeply enough to say anything more than, I had picnics on his farm?.

As the others pondered what they might say, Allen Turner raised his hand, his expression somber as he stood and walked up to the front.

"I'm not sure about the rest of you, but Mr. Rustler, I still can't bring myself to call him Marcus though he told me several times to do so, was as much a father to me as my father was." He began, garnering a few chuckles here and there. "Mr. Rustler was everything I aspired to be, though if you told him that he might smack you for it. He always was a very modest man. I remember once having a talk with him, after I sort of... uhh.. let all of his cows out of their pen as a joke." Allen paused for chuckling, "If you want to talk about a come to God moment, that was it. Mr. Rustler didn't yell. He didn't swing his fist. The look of disappointment in his eyes was all I needed to whip my rear end into shape. He was someone I looked up to and I think that I could have handled it had he gotten angry. He didn't. He just..." Allen paused, getting his emotions together as tears threatened his resolve to keep speaking, "smiled and gave me the bell to ring them all together, grabbing another to help."

Sighing, Allen continued, "Just a few days ago, he came into the Inn and asked me something. I should have known in that moment that he knew he didn't have too much longer left. I'm sure others have similar stories to this one. He was a father and grandfather to us all. He asked me, 'Allen... Are you the man you want to be right now?' I... I didn't have an answer then and I still really don't know. But I'm thankful for this man who was willing to ask questions like this, to really make us evaluate our lives in a way that mattered." He scratched at the back of his head, feeling nervous now. "I'll stop there. I'm sure others wish to speak..." He finished, going to sit with Christopher again.

A few others spoke for Marcus, telling funny stories, moments they shared with him days before, and the value he had in their lives.
@Raddum Dere go. :)
Eliza, with a somber expression on her face, pulled at the black ribbon tied around her hair, securing it in place. She wasn't one for wearing make-up, but if she were, she probably wouldn't wear much of it today. Everyone on the island loved Marcus, and she was no exception. She only had good memories of playing in his fields, picking flowers, laying with the animals, watching the sky. Picnics with her parents... That farm was as much a part of her home as any home she stayed in and Marcus had always been a part of that. It just felt... weird with him gone. And she knew it was affecting her father as well. He looked even more tired than usual today and she could smell the scent of alcohol on him. He was taking this harder than she was, much harder. For him, it was just a reminder of all he'd lost already.

A stronger man would have had his resolve strengthened, determination setting in to keep what he had left safe, but Christopher could not claim to be such a man. He was tired and it was evident on his face as he walked down the stairs of their home. As they left, Eliza made a quick u-turn and grabbed a sucker from the candy jar down stairs and was back outside to walk to the church with her father.

A few minutes later, they were nearing the church. Eliza had the sucker tucked away in a pocket fold of her black dress which hung loosely off of her hips to her ankles, hitting lightly against her brown boots, muddied from the rain and dirt. The two followed along behind the crowd, Eliza slipping in behind the twins. As she passed by David, she passed him the sucker without a word and walked on to find herself a seat, which she took next to Sophie, who smiled sheepishly at her.

Realizing she'd lost her father, Eliza turned her body to look around the church to find him, noticing that even Maggie stood at the back of the church, her head hung low, her body tucked in as if to say "Please, stay away from me." After a few moments of looking, Eliza spotted her father talking to Allen, probably just small talk. Satisfied, she turned back to Sophie.

"Mornin'." She greeted her, her voice low, sad.

"Good morning, Eliza." Sophie responded in kind. Both Sophie and Eliza could sympathize with David, and pretty much anyone on the island. There were very few people that hadn't lost someone recently and the weather wasn't doing anything to lighten the villagers' moods.

"Is he sleeping, Daddy?" Ryuu could be heard asking as the two passed by the coffin, causing a panicking Gook to hush him and push him along. Eliza smiled at the sight. How lovely it would be to have a child's innocence once again...
Don't let the name fool you. I don't have a lot of this ironed out, just wanted a catchy title to pull people in. :P

Before I get into talking about basic ideas, I want to explain just a bit about me.

Hi. I'm Rose. I'm a senior college education major currently teaching full time while doing edTPA. I'm on break this week and will need another 1x1 to use as a small break while writing and planning. So... there's that.

I also do some mature themes, but I prefer fade-to-black. Basically, try to keep it PG-13. Cussing, evil villians, and violence are fine. Just as long as they don't go overboard.

I also generally don't like characters that have terrible out looks of life due to literally the worst childhood you could possibly imagine. It's Harvest Moon. No one's life sucks in HM too badly. Yanno?

So, my basic idea for "Celestial Paradise" is that the over-arching plot is about saving the Harvest Goddess's twin sister, the Moon Goddess. (Yes, I'm fully aware that the Harvest Goddess is more than likely closely tied to the moon, but roll with me here.) The basic idea would be to gain entry to the Paradise Land. Not sure how we plan for our character to do so, but it's a thought.

I would want to play as an OC, but you're more than welcome to take up a canon character. I am also not opposed to homosexual relationships or no romance at all. So play the character you WANT to play. I will, so why shouldn't you?

Some basic things I want from this RP are;

- Cutesy relationships, be they romantic or platonic
- Simple drama such a major storms, drama between NPC characters such as divorce, cheating, pregnancy, etc.
- Major drama such as possible death of the Moon Goddess.
- Possible battle to save the Moon Goddess?
- Other slice of life things such as jobs, growing up, and play.

Not sure what, if anything, will come of this but I've been playing Tree of Tranquility and well.. now I'm itching to write about it. Let me know. ~
The Presentation of the Butterfly Princess

The Imperial Palace Celebration Hall

It was nearing the end of the celebration and Chokan was smiling and laughing with a young woman from another kingdom who had come to visit him. As a bachelor, he had many unwed princesses pinning for his proposal. Cho sat nearby, her head low, staring at the floor.

Have we really sunk so low? Cho thought sourly as she brought her head up and looked around the room. Just an hour ago, she'd been brought out and pushed into the middle of the room where the Emperor waited with a smile on his face. He'd introduced her with a smile to those in the hall and then...

She shivered at the thought of his hand at the low of her back pushing her towards the balcony. With a loud booming voice, he announced to those citizens waiting outside of his capture of the Butterfly Princess. The crowd roared back in applause. She could still hear the sounds of the people chanting his title.

She swallowed as she watched the people danced and turned to look up at Chokan who currently had more than 5 princess surrounding him all dressed to kill. A quick sigh escaped her lips as she rolled her eyes.

"My, My... Such a sigh from one as beautiful as you? You'll age yourself by 10 years!" He shouted, a grin on his face as he looked past the girls before him at Cho.

"You and I know very well that I do not age, Chokan." She returned, her words holding a certain bite to them. He let out a small chuckle before motioning with his hand for several maids to come to him. They came quietly, afterall, they'd long since had their tongues cut out, not that it was Chokan's doing.

"Please take our lovely Princess to her room. It seems the celebrations bore her. Perhaps some isolation will cure her of that." He told them and turned his head back to the women in front of him with a smile.

Cho sighed once again and rolled her eyes as she raised herself from the floor herself, shooing the hands of the maids away. With her head held high and her hands placed delicately at her front waist, she walked on, motioning for the girls to take lead, and they did. She stared on despite the glances given to her, both the jealous ones from the females and some males and the lewd ones from the men and women that fancied her type. Still, her dress, unlike the other women, was not as promiscuous. In fact, it was what she'd been wearing when he found her and the dress itself identified who she was. It was laid with magic from the spirits and protected her in most cases though it had failed her in her attempt to escape the Emperor. It just showed how arrogant she had become. She'd let herself get too close because of her many years of successful evasion.

She reached the room with more speed than she'd meant and the maids bowed as the door was opened for her to enter. A nasty look grew on her face as she looked at the room. It had open windows that showed the other side of the palace and the mountain in the distance. It reminded her of a birdcage and only managed to fans the flames of her anger. She sighed and stepped inside, having realized her own situation. This... wasn't bad. She was okay. She shouldn't let her temper get the better of her again. This was probably that person's test for her. She chuckled as the maids closed the door and left. She walked over to the seat by the window and sat down to stare out at the evening sky. It was still a beautiful purple as the sun was finishing it's decent.

Yes, it was definitely a test from that person. She needed to stay calm and focus on her work. There was probably plenty she could do from the palace. Plenty power she held here... She sighed again. This wouldn't be easy. She needed to gain his confidence and stay by his side. She needed to be able to work for the palace and heal as many people as she could manage. That was the easiest way...

"Give me strength, my love." She spoke, her voice barely a whisper as she looked up at the stars as they slowly appeared in the night sky.
