Jason "Phoenix" Diabolus | Doom Squad Officer | Troas
Yelling out in pain as the massive mech slammed into the ground, Jason felt as if somebody were bending the bones in his ankles. Like he personally had been the one to hit the ground, not the frame.
Like machine and man are one... the boy mused just before the sniper decided to move. Feeling a strong pain in his mind as his reflexes were put to test, the boy managed to fire upon the sniper and completely obliterate it. Along with the rest of a city block, no doubt plenty of innocents fell alongside the cruxi sniper. Wide-eyed for a brief moment at the destruction that X-7 had caused, the boy looked towards his console briefly. Staring blankly at the console, the boy zoned out as he thought about the lives lost, and remembered home. Remembering the last words his parents had said to him, calling him to say goodbyes as they burned at the hands of the monsters.
"We will always love you, sweetheart. No matter what, please, don't forget us." She said, the woman who had taken care of Jason throughout his whole life. Having just told their son that they had elected to stay behind and do what they could to ensure that a ship got free of the surface.
"Remember son, the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. We chose to save the next generation at the cost of our own. We lo-" then a blinding light followed by static. The last remainder of his life ripped away in a blinding light.
Suddenly the boy was back inside X-7, staring hollowly towards the ruined neighborhood. While regrettable all those who had died,the boy spoke a single line to the ruins.
"The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. I'm sorry. Your sacrifice will not be in vain, please forgive me." he spoke to the ruins of the neighborhood before tearing his vision away from the ruins. Like father and mother, these people's lives had been sacrificed in a battle to protect more than just them. However; they died because of a massive mistake on his part. So Jason would not allow their sacrifice to be in vain, nor would he ever write it off. Their lost lives had been his fault, so he would have to forever bear the weight of that. He would use it to only make him stronger.
Moving X-7 forward, the boy took a moment to shake his head and clear his thoughts. Time to focus back on the battle at hand, as they still had a job to do. Immdiately, the boy noticed the withering and wounded tentacled beast. Raising an eyebrow he looked towards the wounded mech beyond the wounded creature. Rapidly hitting commands, he tried to open a direct comm link towards the other mech.
"My weapons systems are still down, I'll try to keep this thing distracted in case it gets up until i get do soemthing. Unsure what damage you've sustained, I'll try to keep it off you." he said before moving a bit closer, aiming to seem more like a threat to the injured thing.
"Bring it, you piece of shit." he said to himself.
* X-7 Moves to H1
* Attempted contact with Yeager
* Aiming to get the wounded beast focused on him if it gets up.
