Dean Winchester
Dean flexed his hands, knowing that he probably shouldn’t, but he needed to make sure they still had feeling after all the numbing picking Mika had done to them. He smiled briefly at Mika as she spoke to Esme, approving of her working with her, even briefly.
“I’m not gonna lie, I’m a little worried about this…”, he spoke up, looking down at his bloodied hands, “I mean…I’m top side. I don’t remember a thing. When has that ever gone well for us, trading a good for anything other than a bad?”
Annabeth
Gasping, Annabeth rolled onto her stomach and sat up, giving a few coughs from the blow to her throat as she moved. She heard Sam’s voice from near her, and turned her face to him, her eyes still white as she did so.
“Sam! I’m okay…It’s okay…”, she spoke hoarsely, standing finally, and running toward him, planning to help him with his ropes. As she started running, a force lifted her off her feet, flinging her into the floor. She groaned, attempting to analyze her injuries as she lay there and rolled around. Realizing that she was mostly just winded, and scared, she persevered. Standing to her feet once more, her stubbornness showing through like a beacon, she ran over to Sam, reaching him this time, “They only want me, for some reason. You can get out of here…”
As if it was a reflex, she leaned forward, brushing his hair behind his ear, slowly. Her fingers lingered against his skin as she did so, “It’s okay, Sam…”
She kept her eyes on him for a few seconds, trying to calm him if he was upset at her. But there was work that needed to be done, if she was going to try and save him.
She was saving him. The thought made her almost laugh internally. Shaking herself, she began untying his hands.
The demon stepped into the room, still smiling from ear to ear at his capture of them both. Annabeth had just finished with one of Sam’s hands, loosening the knot around his wrist with a sneer. She wanted him out of here, even if she had to stay behind.
The demon was going off script in not hurting the girl, because screw the angels, that’s why. She was flung once more, only this time, brought to her feet, where she skidded to a stop after a few seconds, feeling partially in control. She held both her hands out, a low scream starting in her throat as she pulled at the demon inside the vessel in front of her. Coughing black smoke, the demon stared at her with fire in his eyes, “You have GOT to be kidding me…”
As the demon taunted her, he walked toward her, closing the gap between them in just a few steps. There, he clapped a hand around her throat, lifting her over his head with a laugh as she struggled, finding no relief in the grip of her captor. What happened next was unexpected and so fast, as if done out of pure rage. The hand around her throat began to tighten as she fought against the hands.
“Sam…”, she choked out. Before a deafening crack filled the room, and her arms fell limp.
"That...was...easier than expected.", the demon laughed, throwing her limp body to Sam's feet without mercy. He then stepped toward the younger Winchester, "Now...what about you?"
