Marathon training started today, and it's just as painful as I expected. Wahh. But I do feel a bit better than I do on my normal run. Pain - Bad. Runners high from a long run? Great.

I twisted my ankle on my run because of a damn pecan and now I think pecan trees in parks should be illegal T_T Good news, it's not broken. Bad news, I have to rest it for a day or two.

Bio

Hi!
You can call me Anna!
I'm a veteran of the old Guild, before the shutdown.
I love Supernatural, and currently, all of my RPs are Supernatural related. Feel free to message me with ideas!

Dean Winchester is me. I am Dean Winchester.

A mom. A wife. A very protective best friend. Pathological People Pleaser. Intimidating due to my patience and general ability to be unbothered.

I'm addicted to working out, running, and generally having an endorphin high. I also tend to be very annoying talking about it, but I'm way more annoying when I'm depressed.

I'm a hopeless Swiftie. So, if you hate her, I wouldn't RP with me, if you like OOC banter. 90% of songs I use as fuel are Taylor Swift deep cuts. Not really any exceptions.

If I currently RP with you, you're basically my best friend and I will protect you with my life. <3

And also, also, because I have super severe ADHD, I tend to ghost on accident. Never be shy to send me a reminder message. I don't get offended!

@FuriePhoenix owns my soul.

Dean quickly shot a look at Mika when she ordered something so simple, but a warm smile washed over his face, considering that this was definitely her style. Never cause anyone worry, or inconvenience. She could sit back, and people would forget she existed. That’s the way she wanted it.

He didn’t comment on her choice of food, as the waitress smiled and turned to the kitchen to give her order to the cooks. He turned back to Mika and stared at her, as she placed her bag on the floor. He found himself doing this a lot, since the day they had met.

He watched her do the most mundane things, like eating, drinking, or writing in a notebook. He watched her eyelashes move, when she blinked, and every line on her face when she smiled. He hadn’t even noticed how he was looking at her, leaning his cheek against his hand, with his elbow on the counter.

However, the bell behind him rang again as someone walked in, and he snapped out of his thoughts, almost disappointed as he read her face.

“Of all the things to order, you order cheese fries?”, he asked her, his eyes still a bit moony, “Like…who are you and where is my best friend? Any other day, you would take full advantage.”

He gave a small laugh, biting his lip as he tried to get her to open up even more, maybe even skip the rest of the day and just hash these feelings out together.

Dean held her a bit tighter than he probably intended, against his body as they walked. It was almost instinctual, with her giving him permission to care a little deeper. It was a step for them that he had never seen. He had almost deposited her into his usual ‘sister’ category in his mind, due to the fact that her dad didn’t care for him, and Bobby had made it clear he didn’t want a Winchester near her, in that way. Lucky for Dean, he was good at sneaking, and she only saw Bobby when she had the odd chance.

He smirked at his thoughts and her words in unison. Feeling almost high, he barely noticed how big of a change this could possibly be, closing the gap between friendship and a potential relationship. He was even oblivious to the fact that things could go badly, and there was a point of no return. He leaned forward with a bright and toothy smile, coming dangerously close to her lips as he simply quipped the word, “Good.”

They had approached the restaurant, and he opened the door for her, quickly greeted by his favorite middle-aged waitress. She came up to them both, smiling brightly at them, and then specifically at Dean, “You’re here early! And on a date?”

Dean nodded proudly, which caused the woman to smile even brighter. She seemed legitimately happy to see him mingling with kids his age, and even more happy to see him with a girl, and looking happy. She waved them in, gesturing toward the soda bar.

“I know your order, Dean Winchester. But what would you like, sweetheart?”, she asked Mika, as Dean released her to take a seat at the bar.

Dean nodded his head at Mika, squeezing his lips together as she put the pieces together about Anna. This was going to devastate Sam. He had seen his brother’s face, when she left the first time. The kid had figured out what he wanted, with her. To Sam, she was his ticket out, and the first person Dean had really ever seen him connect with romantically.

He furrowed his brow at the thought, glancing toward the door of the panic room. He wiped a hand over his mouth, dreading what was coming. However, Mika turning down his offer with a joke caused him to raise his eyebrows and stare at her with a smirk, “Old habits, darlin’. Old habits. After this is all over…”

He waggled his eyebrows again, before standing reluctantly and peeking around the corner at his brother and Annabeth hugging. He sighed, even more reluctant to step inside, but he did so.

“Sorry to interrupt, but I wanted to drop this off.”, he muttered, laying the blankets near the door and turning to grab Mika’s pile. He added them to the pile, stopping to give Sam an understanding and sad look, at the same time that he noticed Anna’s face fall flat, recognizing that look from his time with Sam, “Um. Anna, you okay?”

Bobby and Cason

“Oh you’ve seen that?”, Bobby asked, his face a bit excited as Natalia explained how the sigil worked. He quickly looked back at Cason, and snapped his fingers at him, “Come here…”

Cason was lost in thought, staring at the front door after watching Esme leave. He was paranoid, and worried about her, and Bobby calling him over made him jump a bit. He turned to the old man, taking a few steps toward him. Bobby simply pointed at the sigil.

“You can make this?”, Bobby asked, giving leniency to the demon. Cason nodded his head, a frown on his face, “So, hop to it. I figure we can put a couple on some doors.”

“You want me to bleed for you? I don’t even know you.”, Cason laughed, but Bobby’s face didn’t change as he leaned a hand against his desk, almost shielding Natalia from Cason.

“But you know that girl out there. You know that the dogs you’ve brought onto my property…yes I can feel them, won’t be much good against Angels. So, if you want her to make it out of here, with you alive…get cuttin’.”, Bobby demanded, pulling his long hunting knife from his belt and slamming it on the table in front of Cason.

Cason picked the knife up with a sigh, realizing he was right, and stepped away to make sigils.

Annabeth

Annabeth relished his words, so happy to just be back near him. As he pulled her in for a hug, she wrapped her arms around his waist, holding on for dear life. Listening to his heartbeat caused her own to slow, as she nuzzled into him. As with most things, the good couldn’t last.

Just as Dean stepped into the room, Anna’s eyes clouded over and a voice appeared in her mind, a voice she didn’t want to hear, ever again.

“I thought I was explicitly clear what I wanted from you, from the moment I gave you back those baby blues.
What made you think that you could use your merry band of idiots to break your promise to me?
Should I…snap Sammy’s shins? He’s awfully heavy. He might kill you in the fall.
No. The 24 hours is cancelled. Pack your bags and meet me.
Easy way. Or hard way, my princess.
Make a choice.

She gasped out of the call, and instantly began feeling up Sam’s chest, pulling away from him. She ran her hands all across his chest, and then down to his legs, making sure he was real. She brought her hands up to her hair, and tangled her fingers there, racking her brain for any answer for what was about to happen.

“Anna!”, Dean called, still waiting for an answer to his question.

“No. I’m not okay…They’re…”, she started as a Hellhound howled loudly in the distance, sounding the alarm that trouble had arrived.

“They’re already here… Dammit! Mika! Guys!”, Dean yelled in realization, sprinting out of the panic room and out to Mika, “They’re here!”

Dean kept glancing around them as they exited the doors, knowing that the teachers would likely call Bobby, like every other week, to tell him that Dean was skipping school. It was nothing new, and Bobby rarely said much, except that the school at called him. Bobby knew him too well to think he would change. Taking Mika, however…that would be a fun conversation.

He stopped dead in his tracks, just outside the door and turned to her as she said his name. She had said his name many times in the past, but it never ceased to make his heart jump into his throat.

“Um…Well, it’s not. I um…”, he stammered at her permission to ask her out on a date. As he washed over her words with his mind, he realized she had admitted to having feelings for him, which he wasn’t even sure he knew how to take. He scanned her face, looking down at their hands. He smirked, bringing his free hand to brush a thumb against her blushing cheek and swallowed heavily.

“Yeah. I think I would like that.”, he whispered, as a teacher began yelling things out the window above them. He didn’t even make out the words, before linking their fingers tightly and yanking her into a run away from the school. As they hit the sidewalk and rounded a corner, he pulled her to him and stopped running. His hands were shaking as he processed his excitement, throwing an arm around her shoulder to walk with her.

“Feel like a rebel, yet?”
Dean Winchester

Dean couldn’t help the laugh that escaped as she understood the joke and retorted with her own. He couldn’t help scanning her face as he looked at her in the neon lights of the bar. It was nice. He could already see how relaxed she seemed, just being out of the chaos that was their life, even if just for a little while.

“Me too.”, he quipped back, waggling his eyebrows. He drank his triple in one shot, tapping the glass on the bar to ask for another, turning back to her, “You see…I seem to remember we had some good times. Like, crazy ‘come back soon’ kind of good times.”

He smiled briefly at the bartender as she brought him the bottle.

“And Sam knows nothing about any of it. I don’t figure he expects you to stay around long. But I do…”, he started again, raising his eyebrows at her to make sure she knew he was being honest, “I think you should roll with us, even after tonight…even after all this is over. You have nowhere else to be.”

He leaned in close, clinking his glass against hers, with a smile. He could be manipulative if he wanted to be, and right now, he was torn. On one hand, he wanted to manipulate her into staying, for the company if nothing else. On the other hand, he wanted her as far away as she could get, to keep her safe.

“But I want you safe. What are you thinking right now?”, he asked randomly, scanning her eyes.

As she stood, and played back on his joke, he laughed. He was happy to see her smile, despite everything that had happened that day. He couldn’t help but stare at the way his jacket fit around her body, something about it feeling possessive, making him want to show her off to the entire school to dispel any doubt that everyone should leave her alone.

At the thought, he had an idea to just let her keep the jacket, while they were around others. Anything to stake claim. He shook himself from his thoughts once again and smiled brightly, wrapping her arm up and taking her hand. It was a small gesture that always seemed to be there, as if they couldn’t truly separate, when they were close.

“Meh. Don’t thank me. I would be a crappy friend if I didn’t come to the rescue every now and then.”, he explained, leading her around to the stairwell, and down the stairs carefully. He made sure to stay close enough to catch her if she tripped. As they made it to the bottom of the stairs, and to the emergency doors, he pulled the wire he had rigged to keep the alarm from going off (and placed back onto itself when they were on the roof, in case someone came in). He carefully opened the door, and peered around the hall, pulling her with him.

“I was thinking we could walk into town. I could take you to that little diner there, grab a burger…s-share a milkshake.”, he explained excitedly as they walked through the halls, “But it’s not a d-date…I mean unless you want it to be and then, well. We could talk about that, and…oh my god Dean shut up…”

He sighed heavily as the word vomit left his mouth, closing his eyes with a furrowed brow. His face turned a bright shade of red. He had said his thoughts out loud, which was against his brains rules.

Dean pursed his lips and shrugged a bit when she mentioned Sam not being all that bad. He almost made a comment about her not living with him, but decided to not talk about his brother, and his worries about him, for once.

As she nuzzled further into him, he couldn’t help but smile, but was thankful that she didn’t pick up on his slip up, at least outwardly. Admitting to her that he felt…things just felt like it would be Hell. What if she didn’t feel the same way? What if she ran away from him, and caused a whole new set of problems for him, with her family?

But he wanted to. He wanted to tell her that he had been terrified of her from the day they met. Knowing her, and not feeling the need to hit on her, or pick her up was one of the scariest things he had ever done, scarier than any monster he had hunted. It was odd, and the only thing John could say about it was, “Don’t get too wrapped up. I need you sharp.”

He was turned from his thoughts by a mixture of her words and her stomach growling loudly, which caused him to raise his eyebrows and look down at her, “I would say that’s a bit of a message. Don’t feel bad, being a delinquent makes me hungry too. What do you say we go grab something greasy? My treat?”

He shrugged his shoulder a bit to get her to look at him, giving her a sheepish but almost pleading look as he did so. There was a fly away hair, as he smiled at her, that was begging to be brushed aside. He fought the urge as long as he could, before finally brushing it behind her ear, “C’mon. What good is saving the damsel if I let her starve?”

A bit embarrassed, he just gave a bright grin to diffuse tension, and pulled away from her, offering his hand as he straightened.

Dean was happy to see a smile on her face, even if it made his throat swell a bit with nerves. He would never let her see them, though. In her state, and her situation, he would never want to take advantage. His own thoughts caused him to flinch a bit, frowning after she turned away from him to lay her head on his shoulder. He slowly leaned his face against the top of her head as she spoke.

Her smarts and her love for art was one of the endearing things, to him. It was a relief to see someone be so passionate about things that he considered mundane, and with the job he was wrapped up with, with John, a waste of his time. But watching her read was one of his odd pastimes, a welcome quiet break from his life.

“Hey…don’t beat yourself up over that, alright? I mean, things could be worse. You could be Sam.”, he quipped as he hugged his arm. He placed his free hand on top of hers, brushing his thumb back and forth across her knuckles. He almost didn’t hear her question, as he zoned out to the smell of her hair, but he pulled himself out of the thousand yard stare and shrugged.

“Um…I might have been waiting for you, outside your last class. After what happened in the yard, I was gonna walk you to lunch. When you didn’t come out, I figured you were here. Turns out, my stalking led me straight to you.”, he said with a laugh. The wind caught her hair, blowing it onto his face, and he took a deep breath.

“And I don’t think you should change, by the way. All those things? The things they hit you for, and make fun of you for? That’s why I lo-…Those things are what make you, you. I don’t climb stairs for just anyone.”, he muttered, instinctively kissing the top of her head.
1995

Dean furrowed his brow a bit at how much the bullying had affected her, to the point that she was missing class, simply from losing track of time. It worried him, and honestly made him want to be violent, if not just to keep her from hardening up, like Sam. He slowly lowered himself to the gravel, beside her, staying leaned forward a bit, to remove his jacket as she sighed.

The air on the roof was a bit colder than the crisp air on the ground. If he was cold, he knew she was probably cold. He wrapped his jacket loosely around her shoulders, before leaning his back against the wall, “Mika…”

He let her name roll of his tongue in the middle of a sigh, trying to find the words to make her feel better about the situation, one that he helped cause. He wasn’t the best at handling flirting or telling girls ‘no’ when they flirted with him. That’s how all the problems started.

Since he had lost interest in making out with the more popular girls in school, or hiding out behind the bleachers with them, it had become an obsession for most of them. Not that he wasn’t flattered, but it was honestly pathetic. But Mika. Mika was exciting. She had been exciting to him since the day he had met her, six or so months prior.

In fact, just his hand brushing the back of her neck as he pulled away from giving her his jacket caused a jolt to hit his heart, taking his breath for a second. He decided to speak up, to hopefully reassure, as best he could.

“I could take care of that.”, he said plainly, turning his face to hers briefly to smile, “But seriously, stand up to them. A lot of them are only doing this crap because you’re friends with me, and they’re boring. Hell, if I hadn’t gotten under their skin out the gate, here, they would probably be beating me up, too.”

He knew it was vague advice, and every part of him wanted to just tell her to kick their asses, or bust their skulls. But he knew that wasn’t Mika’s way, either. She was more gentle than he was, and it was part of what made his heart jump out of his chest, when she looked at him.
“But I’m here now. Your knight in shining armor…”, he finished with a laugh, glancing down at her lips briefly.
Dean smirked as she toyed with the baby hairs on his neck, one of his favorite habits of hers, when shew as feeling loving. It caused goosebumps to run down his arms and neck, with a small shudder, “I’m not that special…”

As he uttered the words, she kissed him, and he couldn’t help kissing her back, his eyes fluttering closed and his heart beating fast in his neck against her arm. He could hear her words of encouragement echoing in the background of his mind, as his mind went to the past again with a sigh through his nose.

October 21, 1995 - William McKinley High School - Buffalo Ride, South Dakota

Dean opened the heavy door to the school roof. He had a feeling that she was here, after what had happened in the yard. True, he had diffused the situation, but he couldn’t help but feel to blame for the torment she had gone through, earlier in the morning.

It also wasn’t like her to skip class, which had him a little more than concerned that he had messed up, by not looking for her sooner. His feet hit the gravel, and he attempted to tiptoe, but found it no use as he stepped around the stairwell dome and found her parked against its side. With a sigh, and a sad look, he stepped up beside her and smirked.

“You know skipping school is my thing, right?”, he quipped. He nudged her leg gently with his boot, “You okay?”
