Ay, if you see me lurking on your profile, it's because there was drama on the status bar which I missed and I'm being nosey AF. Don't mind me.

There must be hundreds, if not thousands, of incredible RP ideas that are wasted every year, due simply to a poorly formatted Interest Check. Shit's gotta pop off the screen and punch you in the face!

Yo, I'm Kalas!

I'm actually less gone now than I have been for years. I've even joined a new RP, hoping it lasts!

Ladies & Gentlemen, the IC is up! :D

//: Monthly Crisis Meeting

Kalas Alseif

"Ladies & Gentleman!" A voice rang out, quietening the anxious crowd. Kalas looked up toward the stage where the heads of every division now stood, just behind a man to whom the voice belonged. He was impeccably well dressed, despite the tragic events that had led them to this meeting. A monthly occurrence to assess the city's current situation. The man was a representative from the Advanced Section Leadership, the effective Councilmen of the city during this state of emergency. Obviously it would be unwise for them to leave the safety of the Advanced Section, which is why they sent him. There were many, however, who disagreed with the way that the leadership had hidden themselves away while the rest of the surviving population had to face the atrocities that had overthrown their beloved city.

Kalas was one of those. Being a Battle Squad Commander, he found himself in a catch 22 between the security of the leadership and his loyalty to those who followed him. This came before his supposed hero status, something he had never quite accepted to be a thing. The man on stage waited for complete silence before continuing. "Our most recent reports show a definitive reduction in the amount of casualties to our people. Your efforts to prevent further loss of life after these terrible tragedies have been duly noted and applauded by our Leadership." His voice echoed out across the central square of the High-Casual Section. Amongst everyone who had attended, the representative's face was the only one to cast a smile. An eerie silence held over the gathered crowd of commanders and middlemen. In the distance, however, the sounds of those affected by the N-008 virus carried on the soft wind. The well-dressed man took a deep breath before pressing on.

"The Leadership have decided that more focus needs to be aimed toward the Free Section. They believe that the sooner we can liberate that area from the monsters that reside there, the sooner we can provide more comfortable living conditions for the rest of you." Whispers soon began to spread after that last statement. Kalas could see looks of disgust in the faces of some of his peers. The Leadership had long foregone any hope of trying to save those who were badly mutated by the N-008 Virus. Now it was merely a matter of survival. Kalas could understand it in a certain way, but it still hurt to have some of his former friends disregarded to callously. Other felt the same way but no one spoke up. They all knew what had to be done, whether they liked it or not.

//: High-Casual Section Checkpoint, RPG City

The meeting had dragged on for an entire hour, talking about various points of interest. The main problem seemed to be the lack of space and food supplies within the Casual Section. Although there was ample farmland within that area, it had previously only had to provide for people from one section. Now they had to cater for thousands of people from all other sections too. Not to mention the fact that the earthquakes had torn up the land quite considerably. It was no wonder the Leadership were pushing for the N-008 threat to be eradicated. The sooner the Free Section was clear and cleansed, the quicker they'd be able to provide more space and food for the survivors. Kalas strolled toward the checkpoint that lead back to the Casual Section, there were a queue of people waiting to be let through but having Level 3 High-Casual access had its' perks. He was motioned towards a fast track lane by one of the Q-Guards stationed there who nodded as he walked passed. "Commander." He spoke softly.

Kalas had grown used to this special treatment by now. After his actions on the Day of Emergence, or E-Day as it was often shortened to, that saved the lived of nearly a thousand people, the Advanced Section Leadership had saw it fit to bestow upon him the the highest level of Hi-Cas Clearance they could, without granting him access to the Advanced Section. Some had taken that as a slight against him, but Kalas was grateful for their generosity. He had just been doing his job after all but now the surviving population saw him as somewhat of a hero. From the checkpoint it was only a short walk to his quaint apartment. As he traveled there, he was constantly greeted with smiles and nods of respect, he made sure to return each one. It would do to let a little bit of fame go to his head.

After climbing a flight of stairs to the fifth floor and reaching the door of his apartment, he noticed that it was slightly open. Someone had broken in. His reactions forced his right hand to his staff, which remained strapped to his back. Then, pushing himself against the wall next to his door, his slowly pushed it open. There was nothing. Not even a light had been turned on. He peeked around the corner before stepping a cautious foot inside the flat.

"I'm in the living room!" Came a sudden voice. The voice of a woman, a familiar voice. He dropped his guard and straightened his shoulders before closing the door behind him and walking in to the room at the end of the hall. Sat there, on a small couch, was the woman who had called out to him. Raven hair, green eyes and seductively red lips. She remained relaxed as he entered the room.

"What have I told you about breaking into my apartment, Isabelle?" He said, a slight annoyance in his tone.

"Something about not doing it, I'm sure. And please, it's Izzy." She replied nonchalantly, raising a leg to lay it upon the rest of the couch. "Besides, I thought you would have been glad to see me?" She pouted.

Kalas sighed. "Not right now, Iz. I'm not in the mood." He breathed before moving to sit on the couch beside her and pressing the palms of his hands into his eyes. An act that helped him to relax. Kalas had been under tremendous stress recently to put together a Special Ops team. It was a task that required shed-loads of paperwork and countless hours of searching through files of the currently enlisted men and women.

Isabelle moved behind him, placing each leg around his waist as she now sat on her feet that she folded beneath her. "Well, unfortunately for you, I have some information that you might be interested in." She began, slowly massaging both of his shoulders as she spoke. "And I'm afraid you can't have it until you give me something first." She whispered into his ear then giggled softly.

Kalas raised his head slightly at that. "What kind of information?" He inquired.

"Nu-uh." Izzy quickly interjected, "You first." Kalas sighed again and began dropping his head but Isabelle spoke out before he could fully ignore her advances.

"There might be a cure." She stated, a coy smirk on her face.

I was going to wait until @RomanAria posted a CS but I guess I'm going to have to start the RP without her. The IC will be up by the end of today.

@DJAtomika@ClocktowerEchos@Ghost Queen@Hekazu@Cynder@Amelian Draco@LeiaHair
@Ghost Queen A very well thought out CS. He is very much good to go. Just be sure to put your sheet in a hider when you post it in the CS Thread.

@Hekazu I might just be in love with this character a little bit. I was also going to make my own Research character, so they might just get along. Accepted.

@ClocktowerEchos I was wondering when I was going to see the happy-go-lucky girl. Her sheet is wonderful. Accepted.

@DJAtomika Yeah apologies for that, but it was the easiest way for it to fit into the city. :P I've read your pm and you just need to make one change which I've sent in my reply. Glad to have you join us.

@Regendorf@antman0623@pyroman@RomanAria

Please join us here if you're interested. :D
This looks super cool, color me interested.

I'm glad you think so. Do you have any questions? Otherwise, you're welcome to start on your Character Sheet. The link to it is in the first post. :D
@KalasThanks for the compliment!

The changes have been made, its a radius spell now.

Excellent. You can go ahead and post your sheet in the CS Thread. Please make sure to use Hider tags when you do so.

NOTICE:

I'm going to try and spend today working on writing up missions and stuff as well as finishing up the OOC. If all runs smoothly, I may even be able to start writing up a post for the IC. In any case, I won't be starting the RP until Friday evening (gmt) at the earliest.
@ClocktowerEchos

Firstly, I'm very impressed by your CS, it's brilliant. He has sort of this 'Time waits for no man' type of feel about him, which is great. I'm happy with the NPC permission because I've seen Aria's interest in the IC.

The only thing I want to pick up on is the Zero Requiem spell. While I distinctly said no Time Abilities, I need to know whether this spell actually affects time or is it just an illusion. Because, I'm sorry, I meant what I said about there not being any Time Abilities.

Edit:
A more acceptable way to have this spell would be that he slows people's perceptions and reactions in a radius around him, giving off the illusion of him slowing time to those affected. He would then move normally but it would seem as if he's moving faster than time at that moment.
Awesome, I'm glad you guys are interested. Just follow the link at the top of the page for the OOC.

Imagine if RolePlayerGuild was a large mega-city.

Picture the different sections of the site as sections within that city. Each with their own purpose and social standing, separated by checkpoints and guarded accordingly. The population making up these sections each vastly different from the rest and do not usually interact with each other, with a few exceptions. Life within the city is normally very easy going. Industry and economy thrives whilst the combative strength of its' military continues to grow.

Now imagine that the Guildfall event, over a year ago, was a series of disasters that has left the prosperous city crippled and on the brink of annihilation. A sudden virus outbreak, ground-shattering earthquakes, a sky-smothering black fog and the appearance of a unknown, sentient ooze. All of these things have caused untold amounts of chaos and destruction within the once-thriving city of RolePlayerGuild.

On top of all this, however, Mahz, the esteemed and revered leader of the city, has gone missing without a trace.

Now, trapped within the place that they used to call home, the survivors have been forced to defend themselves by fortifying the Casual & Advanced Sections of the city. Most of the other sections are either blocked off or uninhabitable, whilst the remaining few are too dangerous to survive in. What could have caused these sudden destructive happenings? Who could be behind it? And what is the reason for this attack on a city many have come to love?

Play As Yourself!
That's right. In this RP, you can decide whether you want to role play with yourself as the character.
RPG Welcomes All!
RolePlayerGuild is home to many people all over the globe of all colours, shapes and sizes. With that in mind, your character can be from any race you'd like. Be it a Demon, Fairy, Anthro, Vampire or any other race you can think of! (Gods/Demi-Gods excluded)
Play As Your Friends!
Providing you gain their permission first, feel free to create a character sheet based on any of your friends who have joined the site or even introduce them as NPCs. Who knows, maybe they'll even join up themselves?
Freeform/Sandbox-Style Play!
Take charge of your own actions within the city. March forth into the Free Section to fight the infected hordes. Prove yourself as a fighter by entering the Arena Section and take part in the eternal battle that rages on between members. Attempt to discover the secrets behind the Sentient Ooze or the cause of the Black Fog. Or you could even venture down into one of the many vast chasms caused by the earthquakes, who knows what you'll find down there?
Missions & Quests!
Missions and Quests will be handed out by myself for you to complete in order to advance the story. Only once a number of missions have been completed will the story then progress, helping to make sure that nobody gets left behind. (Creation of your own side-missions is possible, provided they are accepted by a GM first)
PvE & PvP!
Within the remaining sections of the city, you will find many opportunities to do battle against the NPCs that threaten your continued survival or amongst yourselves. The Arena Section of the city is specifically PvP-based with the only way out being death. (PvE missions set within the Arena Section are the only exclusion to the No Exit Rule)
Always Open!
If all goes well, then new players should be able to join at any time and easily pick up the plot at the same point as everyone else. It is my wish that always being Open will encourage a healthy amount of players to take part in this harrowing tale, based on the Guild's real life experience.
