Bio

Hello Everyone. Welcome to my page. Feel free to call me Ms. Winters Or Major Winters. Most people do. I have been with the guild over three years now. I have many RPs and 1x1s. Feel free to take a look. I am 45 (Yes I know I am older than most). I have been happily married for 24 years. I have two gremlins. I love to read. We started a YouTube channel to share our randomness.

"It isn't an older siblings responsibility to look after their siblings? " Reginald challenged. Older siblings were often expected to take care of their younger siblings. It was one of the key roles older children played in a family. "I didn't know that asking Roxanne to care about her brother's future was asking too much. I thought family took care of family." There was the guilt trip again he wasn't asking for the world.

"It isn't like we're asking her to do anything illegal or immortal. We simply want to know if the men here tonight are lying or not. If they're lying they can't have the boys beat interest in mind." Maxwell explained. Again it was a perfectly reasonable. Someone on the outside looking in might be able to see the benefits of doing what they asked.

The problem was that it wasn't that simple and Roxy knew that. This was only the tip of the iceberg. The part that looked safe. But there was so much more under the surface. Things that would come out to haunt them at a later date. Once they went down this road it would be hard to turn back but she wasn't sure that she could avoid it. She might have to give in to protect Jess and Drake.
"Sorry. I'll get control of my emotions." Roxy assured the other woman. She wasn't used to being aware of her emotions. She usually just shoved them aside until they disappear. Now she had to deal with them so that Devika wouldn't have to. She had no idea how she would do that but she would figure it. It wasn't fair to Devika that she couldn't keep them to herself.

"Kindness isn't something that I'm very familiar with." Roxy commented. She didn't understand Devika. It wasn't that she was opposed to the woman doing things for her. She just didn't understand why the empath would do something for her. Every time Devika did something she felt like she was expected to do something in return. Unfortunately she had no idea what she could offer the empath. She also didn't want to get used to it. It wouldn't last forever.
I will thanks.
@LuckyBlackCat scraps, goose egg, concussion, and a black eye. I'm hurting but otherwise I'm ok.

"This is the empath that my daughter has been matched with. She's able to feel all emotions. She will be helping us work out a business deal. She going to keep us all honest." Reginald gave Jess a pointed look as explained. It was clear he expected her to give him information without giving away information. Served the food. Each plate had a large serving of eggs, sausage, and bacon on it.

"I told you I didn't want to be involved in the business." Roxy growled. She had once wanted to but when Drake had been born she had been replaced. Her father had been happy to forget her until he learned about Jess. He still didn't care about her. She was just a means to an end. He wanted the empath. She wasn't going to simply play along. She was a fighter. She wasn't going to give in just because he want to make hard.

"You have a way to secure your brother's future and you wish to keep it to yourself. I knew you were selfish Roxanne but I had hoped being around an empath would teach you how your actions affect other people. It isn't like I'm asking that much of you." Her father stated calmly.

Frustration and guilt flashed through Roxy. She knew she wasn't responsible for what her father did but he always made her feel like she was.
I was wondering if that would come across the way I wanted but I wasn't sure how to word it. Roxy is basically saying it wasn't a guest that Devika heard. She was trying to tell Devika who their visitor was without saying Stewart's name.
"We did have a guest." Roxy snapped as she grabbed an apple off the plate. She had never been much of a fruit eater. Not that she didn't like it. It had just tended to go bad before she finished it. She didn't like to waste things so she rarely bought it. "A guest is someone you want to see." She didn't want to see Stewart ever. The further away he was the happier she was.

"Why the hell do people have peanut butter with apples? I've never understand that." She wasn't fond of peanut butter. There was something about the texture that turned her off. "You know you don't have to make me snacks. I'm a big girl. I've been taking care of myself a long time." She told Devika. She didn't want the empath thinking she needed someone to take care of her. She didn't. She had been independent most of her life.

Roxy stepped out of her room once she was dressed. She waited for Jess. She nodded. "It should be just about ready." She headed down the hall. The sooner that they eat the sooner this day would be over.

As they walked towards the kitchen they would hear multiple voices. It appeared that it was no longer just Maxwell and Reginald. Frustration flashed through her. It had to be the board members. Business was the last she want to deal with but at least it would get their attention on her sex life or lack there of.

Roxy headed to the formal dinning room. Her father and Maxwell sat at the table with four other man. They were all her father's age. They all stood when they arrived. "There they are. Please be seated girls so we can begin. After breakfast we have a lot to discuss." Reginald indicated to the two empty seats. Unfortunately the seats weren't next to each other. They were on opposite side of the table.
