Aurélie sat in silence, somehow appearing ramrod straight yet relaxed at the same time. She was almost preternaturally still, only her eyes flicking back and forth as one or another of her new squadron mates spoke - she would not think of them as comrades yet, not until they had proven themselves. But oh, these Americans! Almost like Italians, so many words and gestures when they spoke, and always saying the same thing over and over again....

Meanwhile, she had been taking notes on all that was happening. Copious notes, not just on the mission.
A rapid clacking announced the arrival of another member of the new squadron, a strawberry blonde so petite that even in heels she was by some distance the shortest person in the room. She made up for it by being impeccably chic - she wore the blouse and pencil skirt of Shattered Steel's dress uniform, sharply tailored and subtly personalised. Nothing to draw undue attention, just the slightest of tweaks - the lapels a little narrower and higher to frame the chin better, hidden darts to give room for the chest without bagging the shoulders... the untrained eye would notice nothing except that somehow she made the uniform look like a couture outfit.

And over that, she had thrown with studied insouciance a battered bomber jacket covered in patches from a dozen commands - most from the Armée de l'Air, a few from other PMCS, one or two of them defunct.

The clacking stopped and Aurélie stood before her new commander, snapping off a crisp salute. "Bouchard, callsign Chevy. Enchanté."
Name: Aurélie Bouchard
Callsign/Nickname: Chevy (from Chevalier du Ciel, "Knight of the sky")
Age: is but a number, non? (32)
Gender: Female
Appearance:

Aurélie is a petite strawberry blonde with pale blue eyes and an innocent-seeming demeanour.

Nationality: French
Personality: "Look like the flower, but be the serpent under't." Aurélie has the face of an angel and a heart of blackest pitch. She's charming, quirky, vivacious - and she'll put a heat-seeker up your tailpipe without a qualm if the mission calls for it.

History: Aurélie is a bit of a mystery. She doesn't talk much about her past, and deflects all questions about it with a fetching giggle. However, it's a matter of record that she learned to fly young, receiving her PPL at the age of 14, and that she served with the Armée de l'Air for some years. There's then a gap in her service record, but there are rumours that she was seen in parts of Africa and the Middle East - traditional stomping grounds for French forces - flying for various mercenary groups. At some point she was shot down and captured by forces of Shattered Steel, who offered her amnesty in return for joining them. She turned coat without batting an eyelid and has been flying and fighting for Shattered Steel since.

Personal Gear: "Don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner"
Personal Aircraft: "Papillon" Dassault Rafale https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dassault_Rafale
Aircraft modifications: None

Call it Area 88 and I'm in.
This is a reworked Ravager, with more of a focus on her Asian heritage. Don't anyone say the words "Diversity hire" around her.

Warship Name: Yukikaze - Kagero-class destroyer

Mental Model:

Personality: Clumsy, sweet, and earnest - whenever Yuki's around, something always seems to go wrong, whether through her own mistakes or just sheer bad luck. But by that same token, she always seems to sail through it untouched and somewhat bewildered by all the fuss.

Memories: All of Yuki's old memories are muddled and confused... they seem to involve being surrounded by shells, torpedoes, and bombs, with comrades battered, on fire, or sinking. And she's always trying valiantly to help, but everyone just dies. Maybe that's why she can't seem to recall it all. It's just too painful....

Extra: Yuki loves sweets of any description, especially the traditional Japanese desserts known as wagashi.
Yes.
Sounds interesting, aye.
Someone is actually running an Arpeggio of Blue Steel RP? I'm willing to make the time for this if you're willing to have me

Dang, it's going to get confusing when people talk about Yukikaze.
