In all seriousness, i LOVE House of Mouse and am pissed that Disney won't upload it to Disney+. Especially at this time of year, because Snowed In At The House of Mouse is one of the most underrated christmas specials. Plus, so long as we get that kick-ass musical number.

Disney stays making terrible decisions when it comes to what should be on that app, but doesn't. And it's Disney. They're definitely the musical number.

If we go this route you could have Am being an Agent of Maleficent and fudging Xehanort and Ansem's research so he goes through with his plan of opening the door so the Darkness can seep out of it like she wants.
@mattmanganon

I read the other day that they wanted to have Leon and the others in BBS, but once they got to Radiant Garden they realized they already had too many characters there for the rest to be shown without it being too clunky of a world and story. But I disagree about the original characters. The game was always about the original characters. The Disney and Final Fantasy aspect was really just to help expand the world of Kingdom Hearts and give us fun places and fun characters to interact with. But I do agree that it's pointless when your actions and presence have no effect on the story.
But on that note, how would you all feel about Mickey Mouse's House of Villains being how the full story ends here? The Disney Worlds are on a time loop. Every time they're close to victory the heroic light shines through and they're defeated and their story starts over ready to be retold without their knowledge.(VHS Rewind/DVD starts over)

Maleficent discovers the truth on one of her rewinds and decides the only way to change her fate is to flood the universe with darkness. Her evil alone isn't enough and so she travels the worlds to find other villains and a true source of darkness, which leads to her discovering the Doors to Darkness, but she's not able to open them. So while Xehanort believes he's the one pulling the strings it's really Maleficent and the movie villains.

So KH4 is the House of Villains. We travel to worlds we've already been to as well as new ones to fix their stories and liberate them from the darkness. Each movie will have a distinct change. An example would be Ursula becoming Ariel's sister and seeing Prince Eric first while Triton is the Sea Warlock whose own dark feelings towards the surface world and the royal family created an almost dystopia Atlantica. No joy. No singing. Just despair. Kinda like Scar's Pride Rock.
I sympathize with Nomura. It's hard creating compelling villains and antagonists in a game. Especially one where people need or want more to the story like with Kingdom Hearts. So it's easier to reuse Xehanort, who's been a staple in the series since the beginning, rather than introducing someone else down the line as the true puppetmaster, especially without clear and obvious hints before. People would've hated that even more. To this day people still complain about how Kaguya and Zetsu usurped Madara as the villain at the end of Naruto.
@mattmanganon

Maybe it's DDD that did that for you, because 2 came out first so that was always meant to be played before 358 and I played both when they came out and honestly 358 was what made me care about Axel at all. Cause I loved Roxas. (I played 2 before 1) And what 358 really did was just build the characters more and gave us a reason to care about these Nobodies or who they might have been before they became one.
@Bacon Yeah, that is the one thing about Kingdom Hearts. Even the Mobile Games are important to the story. I personally haven't played them yet, but have seen and learned a little about them.
@mattmanganon

Now look here. I've accepted a lot, but what we will not stand for is the slander of 358/2. That gave brought us Xion and a beautiful friendship between her, Roxas, and Axel. We actually have some plans for that game here.
@King Kindred I have no idea what a Hiruzen is. So, what is Xehanort's motives in this? Is it one of his various, incomprehensible plans from the games (Creating his own Kingdom Hearts with Blackjack and Hookers, Starting a new Keyblade war for shits and giggles, ETC.) or is it something more straight forward?

A Naruto reference. The Third Hokage who let the village's biggest villains get away with whatever because he cared for them like a child and brother. Same original flawed plan of the first game. That's where his story will end here.
@King Kindred So, i do have to ask what is the exact story we've got going on with the origin of Keyblades and the whole Ansem and Nobodies thing. Primarily because i kinda want to start doing some set up for tying Leon's story into the wider narrative, but i also don't want to contradict anything later on down the line.

Pretty much, i kinda want to do the thing Nomura categorically refused to. Make sure there's consistency in the story being told.

I'm not sure what Dragon's original plans were, but I'm sure the origin of Keyblades stays the same with the X-Blade and Keyblade War, with each character having their own differing reasons for being able to wield one in the current timeline. As far as Ansem and the Nobodies go, most of the game's original Nobodies are being replaced with our own. But the events of Xehanort's betrayal happens years earlier and slower to match up with the ages of the cast. Essentially Ansem the Wise will be like our Hiruzen. Aware of things, but unsure of how to handle/stop it besides putting a band-aid on the problem.(Alias)
@Sadu I agree. I still haven't finished KH3 but I do want to feel like our characters were there and part of the story.

I heard the Frozen story happened the way it did because they didn't want to turn Elsa into the antagonist.
