Andy laughed. She couldn't help it. Zari was adorable playing in the rain that way. She shrugged and joined her. Why not? She was already wet. Growing up, she hadn't had many chances to play in puddles, so this was nice. Hopefully, she wouldn't have to fight anyone soaked the way she was. And she'd have to make sure her jacket to didn't shrink. Those things nagged at the back of her mind, but she pushed them back, trying not to focus on them and just enjoy the sensation of playing.

"I want to talk to you about something." She said after a few minutes. The other thing that was on her mind. "I do like you, Zari. And I don't know if you understand what I mean by that, and it is okay if you don't. But I want you to know that if you like me back, that'd be great. But if you don't, that's okay too. I'm happy just being your friend. I don't understand completely what you're dealing with. It sounds like a lot, and it is a mess. What I do understand kind of scares me. Especially the part where it means you've time traveled, and it sounds like you aren't even born yet. This is just weird to think about because that means I'm seventeen years older than you, at least. Even though it doesn't feel like it because you're here looking the same age as me. It's all confusing. But I don't have any ties. I don't have anyone. Or I didn't till I met you and the others. I want to help you, though. As I've said before. So I'm here for you, okay."

She felt like she had said too much. Mostly just word vomit, and she doubted her point had really gotten across, but at least she had told Zari what she felt.

"Well, Air Niah will be open for business again after some food and a nice comfy bed. I don't care where the bed is, as long as it is soft and has pillows and a blanket. Also, preferably doesn't have bed bugs." She really didn't care. As long as it was something resembling safe. She realized now that the fight was over she was bone tired.

Though a part of her was nervous about trusting the armor for that long of a distance. It didn't seem to be cursed. She had been able to remove it and still sort of control it. So maybe it would be fine. But she also didn't want to become too dependent on it.

"Thank you for the ride, Argus." Andy said before she climbed out of the van. She didn't want to leave Arthur's side, but it seemed it was time. They were going separate ways. When Arthur got out of the van, she gave him a hug. Hoping it wouldn't be their last.

She looked up at her aunt. "Which direction are we going?" Where they needed to go was a little less straightforward. She looked around the city. It was weird being back in a city. She had done so much travel on her own for so long that part of her wanted to disappear into the crowd and forget it all. But she knew she'd never leave Arthur behind. So she had to do the quest so they could be back together again.

She nodded as Jason explained. She wasn't surprised. His experience in California was the same as a layover while flying. "I figured we'd see about taking the Amtrak. Worked well enough for me before. They could also fly since none of them were children of Neptune.

Well, Mortals aren't supposed to know about New Rome."[/color] Niah said; she smiled sadly. California was her home too now. Those hills were where she wanted to be more than anything. "We are going to Mount Tamalpais. I've been there once before." She was proud that she didn't look at Mads as she said that.

"As for the island. I'm not sure what you mean." She tried to think of what Stella could be talking about. "When did this happen?" If it had happened before Niah had come to California, that might explain why she didn't know about it, at least. Though Stella seemed a little young, she was old enough that Niah hadn't been there for most of her life. She had only lived at Camp Jupiter for five years, and those had been fast-tracked.

Niah took her turn, getting out of the van as soon as she could. She collected her group's money from Argus. Niah wasn't used to being the one in direct control of a group, as both Nancy and Mads had stronger personalities than her, but she knew her way around the ticket counter. And wasn't certain Jason or Stella, especially Stella, could get away with ordering tickets from the Amtrak station.

Ed wondered briefly if there was any way he could help Stark but doubted his magic was the correct type. As he was thinking, a memory flickered to the surface. One he knew wasn't his. He hadn't trusted his counterpart here. Now he had even more reason not to. Torture. He shivered. Then tried to focus back on the conversation at hand.

He wanted to talk to the group without Klara present. If he went with the other team to the tower while Klara went to the ship, that would give him the chance. But that would also put her out of his sight and he wasn't certain he wanted to trust her. Could he bring it up with Runa and see if she could tell? She was a goddess of lies. She might be able to tell if Klara was the real one. Damn, he wished he had gotten a hair from the Klara with Frost.

"I'm fine with going with either group. However, if we think we might find something useful for helping Danger at Stark tower, I think we should go to Stark Tower and then to the Mansion. Rather than splitting up." That made the most sense to him. And maybe he'd get a chance to speak to someone without Klara in earshot and not lose her.

Niah paced. She didn't know how long she'd have to wait until her and Oliver could be reunited. She did know that a good portion of her irritation at being separated from him was not totally her own feelings. It was this version. At least for her if her or Oliver's memories got fiddled with as much s Flynn and Amelia had she'd remember Oliver. Maybe not the others. But she'd remember him. She clung to that like a life raft. That and the fact that her alternate lives were still there intact. She'd remember everything up to the re-write of history and also the House of M stuff. Now that would be really messy. Why did her brain have to be so messy?

She listened to the conversation of the others. Not joining. Though she wasn't totally excited about Charles Xavier showing up. And who knew which part of her was upset about that. She had spent so much time dissecting her memories and putting the pieces into place and now it was jumbled again. She looked to Raynor, waiting for his answer to Cass' question. She wasn't certain what to think of the fact that Xavier and Magneto apparently were buddy-buddy here.

"We aren't just new to the island. We're new to this world. We are actually from a completely different reality. Whatever is happening to Flynn and Ameilia is some weird mental thing where the memories of themselves from this world write over their memories from our world. We have to fix it." Matt tried to explain. Not that he totally understood what was going on well enough to give a good explanation. Maybe Oliver could explain it better.

"We came through some sort of... uh portal. I guess. We were investigating two missing prisoners. And it opened and brought us here. We've confirmed that they are in this world, but we need to find them. One of them is a different version of Luminous, but Niah confirmed that the one who was among the group earlier isn't the one we're looking for." He trusted that Niah could do that. She could tell if someone was a Skrull after all.

Rose Buckner

Rose nodded. Made sense. Merlin may be able to identify the man as Lancelot, but he could be under Maleficent's control for a variety of reasons and ways. She didn't know if he could be trusted. But he was who he said he was. And that was a step in the right direction.

She followed Merlin back to the caravan. The wolves were gone. A part of her was sad about that. But it probably was for the best. The wolves had been starving. Though, feeding wild animals was not a good idea. At least they hadn't fed them with their own flesh. That would have been worse. Between being dead and now the wolves having tasted human. Rose couldn't help but smile at the thought despite how horrific it was. She was the daughter of little red riding hood, and here she was thinking about the downsides of getting eaten by wolves. She decided next time she got a chance, she'd ask her mom how much of the fairy tale was true.

Colby Jackson

Colby couldn't help it. He was excited. Even with what happened with Willow, which was unsettling. But they made it through. Then their papers were rechecked. These guys believed in security, that was for certain. After that, though, they entered the palace. An actual honest-to-god palace. So who could blame him for being excited?

However, all that excitement drained away as soon as he saw Rumple. "Doesn't matter if you know him. He knows us." They had fought him. Colby didn't know how he got burned, but it probably was from another fight. But he and Maddie had been attacked by birds controlled by Rumple. There was no way he didn't know who they were. "Keep people between him and us. Try to keep him in your side-eye vision, but don't let him get a good look at your faces." He said quickly to Willow and Maddie.

Emzie thought they were very funny, actually. It wasn't their fault the Jedi didn't understand their sense of humor. However, now was not the time to try to get into a comedic battle. There were droids in the way of their goal. Something Emzie was getting rather desperate to get to. Therefore, they chose not to continue the conversation but instead focus on the fight.

Their first shot missed by a mile. Their second shot grazed their target. But the third destroyed the droid. That was two down out of seven. There were still five more that needed to be taken out for them to be able to move on. Those five droids fired off their own shots. Most went wide. But two shots hit home. One barely grazing Raynor, singeing off some hair, the other hitting Emzie doing damage to their chassis. But not penetrating through their specialized plate. If a second blast hit the same spot before it cooled, Emzie would be at risk of significant damage.

Rejoining the others Ed was glad everyone had made it back rather unscathed. Lucky Cassandra and Jade had little to deal with. "We ran into a few groups. Mostly avoided issues, except with Sabretooth. I fear they'll be expecting something from us. We should enact our plan at a weird time." He wished he knew when the changing of the guard happened, if at all. It may be that the people they found would camp out too. They didn't have enough information and would be doing this half blind.

He looked to Pietro. "I can heal that if you'd like." He offered. He wasn't certain what had happened to break both of Pietro's arms, but that couldn't be fun. They also couldn't afford to be down anyone, especially someone with a power as useful as the speedsters. If Pietro consented he would heal him.

"That makes sense." Andy nodded. She understood Zari's perspective. She wondered if the Holocaust happened in Zari's world. But because she knew the history of it, she sort of understood Magneto. However, part of her couldn't forgive him for yelling. It too often had been a sign of other problems in her life.

It started raining. She smiled at first, but as the rain started becoming more intense, she frowned. "Uh, how about we get out of the rain." She would have been fine if it had stayed light, but this was too much rain. She didn't know where they could go. Maybe they could go to the school and find a place to be out of the rain there.

Niah did not want to leave Oliver's side. And he didn't want her to leave either. But with the threat of Wolverine dragging her out of the room hanging over her head. And with Cass telling her to leave. She sighed. Niah placed her hand gently on Oliver. "I'll come if you call." She said seriously.

Leaving the grove to the waiting grove, Niah joined the others. She paced. Unhappy about parting with Oliver. But she didn't particularly want to be the cause of an incident. As she paced, she thought about what needed to be done. They needed to figure out how to help their friends that had their brains re-written. They needed to find Luminos and Doom. Then get home. It would be ideal to do it in that order.

Matt smiled as Cass kissed his cheek. He nodded. If something weird happened, he'd call. Though, being injected with Wolverine blood might be something weird. It was necessary, though. Considering how badly injured Oliver and Flynn were.

The goop did sting, but it was cool. He hadn't been given the order to stay put like the others. He looked over at Oliver and Flynn. Not entirely wanting to leave them alone. Would they keep Niah from Oliver for an hour? She had not been pleased about parting with him. He doubted she'd put up with it for too long. There was also that part of Matt that knew Oliver was guilty of crimes. Could he trust him without someone supervising?

As such, he decided to stick around and, if needed, would help out. But it was mostly to keep an eye on Oliver, and he supposed the discombobulated Flynn.
