Niah slept well. She woke up surprised about that. She had expected strange dreams, but it had been quiet in her head. Sage gave them the information they needed. London. She frowned. That was awfully close to her counterpart here. And Oliver's. They may have sorted out their mental nonsense. But encountering their counterparts would not be good. There was a shift in her emotions before they settled, and she stared at the two villains on the projection.

These were her villains. People she had dealt with and would need to deal with again. All of her focused on the memories of them. She couldn't let Luminous run rampant. Though, the promise to Doom flitted around. He was still a danger to society. Any society. Niah stood. "I'm ready." She glanced at Oliver and smiled. If they ran into their counterparts, they could deal with them.

Matt arched an eyebrow at the image. Of course, they were going to London. He knew exactly what that meant. From what Matt had gathered, his counterpart was hunting down Oliver. If they came across Matt's counterpart, Oliver was at risk. He had to warn him.

"Well, I suppose it is good they are apparently still traveling together. And that there is trouble in paradise. We might be able to use that." Matt thought they might be able to convince Luminous that Doom had betrayed her. He doubted they could do the reverse.

"One thing, Oliver." He joined the other man. "Don't trust my counterpart." Niah frowned but didn't say anything.

"I would much rather spend time in a room with you at this point in my life. I do have many questions for my mom, but I'd rather cuddle with you." She winked at Cassi. Rose was a flirt. Even in a relationship, she liked to flirt with the person. Remind them what they meant to her.

"You can cuddle too if you want, Layla." Rose said, giving her a playful smile. Though she doubted Layla would. It was likely there was a clear divide. Rose was poly, but she would not tread on their sisterly bond. Joking about it was one thing.

Colby could feel Willow's fear in her grip on his arm. He was determined to protect her. But with the arrival of Rumple his normal easy-going manner left him. The man had been disfigured, an event for which he had not been present. It was grotesque. However, he didn't have the lamp. If he could distract Rumple and the guards of Jafar long enough, maybe whoever had it would be able to get out with it.

After taking a slow breath of air, Colby smiled. It was the grin of a cat about to play with its prey. "We were discussing the wonderful food spread. And the fantastic music." It wasn't the best lie. Rumple would probably easily be able to see through it. But if Colby could keep his attention, that was good enough. "I find a soiree like this is best spent near the food table. Colby had no idea how a soiree would normally go. He had never been to one before. But if historical dramas had any facts, the food table was where the evening drama was discussed. The equivalent to the office water cooler.

Niah chewed on her food and the idea that Doom might have opened the portal. She thought it might be possible he was smart enough. However, Ryanor brought up the Phoenix. She frowned. Was this possible? Was it involved? She didn't like that idea at all. If that was true. Something was uncomfortable about that possibility.

She focused on her food. Choosing instead to eat and drink. She was ready for bed. This day had been entirely too long. She closed her eyes slightly as she paused in her eating. Had it only been one day? Everything seemed to have taken months. She sighed.

Matt smiled. The group had said they hadn't wanted to talk about it, yet here they were talking. Matt was thought part of the conversation was odd. He frowned. "Wait, was I supposed to know that Doom and Luminous were behind the portal? Or is that a theory I just didn't pick up on?" He honestly had no idea when that had been mentioned. Or if it was a theory the smarter, more scientific members of the group had come up with and hadn't voiced it up to this point.

Bonnie seemed to think it was a possibility they hadn't caused it. That made him feel a bit better. If she disagreed with the theory, then he didn't feel he should have figured that out.

While the conversation continued, Matt finished eating his food. He drained the beer he had. "I'm going to turn in now. Unless some other surprising reveal needs to be made?"

Andy watched the map shifting. It put a marker in a room and then gave them an indication of which way to go. That was cool. She couldn't help but think that. Sure, Aunt Mads was right. They lived in a world aware of the gods and magic. But sometimes, seeing it was still wild.

Her stomach twisted as they heard the growling and voice from the left hallway. She knew at some point during their time here in the Labyrinth, her aunt would be taken from her. She also knew that should be after they got the sword. But that didn't make that knowledge any easier to bear. She hated and feared it.

She started down the right hallway slowly until both Mary and Mads were walking. Then she picked up her pace.

Niah let out a low whistle. That was not an insignificant amount of money. The cards would probably be quickly useless. But maybe they could use them to withdraw cash somewhere. She considered her feelings about stealing and using the cards. Decided it was from a monster, and they would be unlikely to be able to keep up with the train. In the long run, it had been a prize for defeating the monster. So it was fair game.

She picked one of the cabins when they could finally board the train. They were going to want the bed-like seats and privacy. She figured they should still have a sleep watch, even on the train. And with the privacy of the room, they would be able to talk without worrying about being overheard. Though Niah knew couching their language into game terms, no one really double took on kids talking about mystical things.

There was still tension related to Selene. Andy could tell. But no one seemed too bothered by Selene being her mother. Some of the group left, but they had a good reason. She hadn't ordered a drink, it would be a good excuse later to step away alone, or with maybe just Zari.

She glanced at Zari, thankful that Echo could explain the game further. She didn't know why it existed, just what it was. She looked back to Selene, unsure what she meant by leman. But at least she agreed with Zari about French Toast. She didn't like the texture of it.

Selene skillfully avoided answering Andy's unasked question. Claiming the story of how Andy had been 'orphaned' wasn't interesting. She didn't quite agree. But maybe it was boring. How though? Selene was clearly taking an interest in her now. What was different between fourteen years ago and now?

"I agree with you, Zari." Andy said, shrugging slightly. "I don't like the texture of French Toast much. Soggy bread isn't appealing to me." That was completely true, as she sometimes liked to dip muffins into coffee, but that seemed different. She supposed this weird small talk conversation was what was going to happen. Though Casper and Selene's conversation was...unsettling. Andy couldn't tell if Selene was hitting on Casper or just meant in general.

If there was a chance Runa could connect to the shard, it raised their chances. That was reassuring to Ed. He didn't like the idea of walking around with a mini-nuke in their pockets.

As for keeping track of who was who, it would be difficult. They would have to mark the people of the group somehow. Mary would be exempt. But the others would need some way to differentiate them. Especially if there was a chance of more of them losing themself as Lance had. Ed didn't understand what had happened to Lance and didn't know if there was a way to fix it.

"If anyone has a permanent marker or something, we can place a mark on the back of our hand, somewhere we can easily see, to keep track of each other. I also suggest a second mark, hidden somewhere." He hoped the meaning of why he wanted that was clear to the group.

Being back on the mansion property so quickly was a little nerve-wracking. But it saved them a lot of travel time. And who knew what other issues might arise while they had been crossing from the tower to the mansion. However, Strange was ever the bearer of bad news. They were going to have to fight their counterparts. Those with counterparts they had encountered so far were in one of those two groups. But this did mean they might be able to interact with Klara again. And maybe he could try to do what he had done with Lance and fix some of the connections wrong with him. They had to find a way to get Lance fixed too. One thing at a time.

"How long do you think until they find it? Do you have a good idea of where it is?" He wondered if Strange could just do the portal thing, grab the shard, and pop right away from it. "How unstable would a shard of this be? If the whole thing can destroy the whole of the multiverse?" Ed did not want to be responsible for destroying not just a universe but many of them.

Ed followed Jade up the stairs. His heart was pounding. He pushed aside his fears. None of them mattered. They'd either live or die. He could only do his best at the moment. He tensed as the door started to open. But Thalia did some of her time magic, and the three were frozen.

His hands shaking a little, he created a bubble. At first, it appeared outside his target. He took a deep breath centering himself. Reminding himself that if they failed here, the world would likely fall into ruin. That put a weight on his shoulders that he didn't necessarily want, but it focused him. The bubble disappeared, and another appeared, but this one was not visible to the others.

Ed had created this one inside one of the men. Around their heart. It was essentially an insta-kill. There was no fighting it. Not that there would be any way for this man frozen in time. It also meant he had once again broken the family laws. This was forbidden. But Ed doubted it would ever matter.

Andy's stomach twisted when Selene started to approach them. She didn't know how to act around her mother. When she lived in foster homes, she had been a bit on the antagonistic side with her foster parents. Most of the time, it was self-defense. However, here on Genosha, her 'parents' (Magneto and Selene) could easily kill her. She didn't want to die. Not with Zari in her life now. It might have been different months before she met the Mutant Underground group.

She stood up. Pulling at her dress a bit. "Uh, hi mom." Her face turned bright red, but she didn't kiss her. She glanced at Callie; she shrugged and nodded at the same time. "It is complicated. I don't know the whole story yet, but it turns out Selene is my mother." She looked back at Selene. Andy wanted to know the story, wanted to know the truth.

No one was talking about their psychic surgeries. And that was okay with Niah. She didn't like the idea of leaving Doom and Luminous to their own devices in this world. Both were nasty enemies. She had her past with each of them. Doom might even hold some of it against her to this day. She didn't know for sure if he would be aware of the promise she had made...and failed to keep. She had tried. But she had failed. If she hadn't failed, he wouldn't be here.

She wasn't going to blame herself for that. Luminous would still have been here; that was a whole other set of issues. Somehow with the trauma she had associated with the speedster, she had ended up with a speedster. She snorted at the thought.

Niah dug into the food some more. Her body needed it. She leaned lightly against Oliver. Finding comfort in his warmth. Sleep sounded great. She was ready for that. After food. After the beer.

"That's all fair." Matt said, smiling. He was perfectly happy, just relaxing the rest of the night. They had no idea where Doom might be, as Cass had pointed out. They would have to find them first. He didn't agree that leaving them here was the right choice, even if it wasn't part of their original mission. As much as he disliked this reality, Doom and Luminous weren't their problems.

He turned to listen to Raynor. If he thought he had a way to get them home, that'd be good to know. He had no desire to stay here longer than necessary. And the Asgardians probably were their best bet for getting home. They probably had some weird tech magic stuff to traverse the realities. Banner might know how to send them back too. Matt put a free arm around Cass.
