Andy scrunched her nose thinking. There hadn't been anyone since she had joined that had gone missing. But then she remembered that a while back some kids went to map the Labyrinth. Her eyes opened wide and she gasped.

[color=b71d5d]"I think I know of them. I don't know them personally but there was mention of some kids a while back going into the Labyrinth to map it out. They never came back. Maybe it is them."[color] She hoped in a way that it would be. Maybe they could help each other.

Niah was also bored but she had had the book to keep her interest for the hours between New York and Harrisburg. She had read a good chunk of the book she had found. It had been interesting. Other than that she had periodically looked out the window or into the rest of the train. She had napped a little too. Knowing that sleep wouldn't always be so easy to get.

"Thank you. We appreciate it. The medical supplies helped too. We should be good otherwise." With the train delayed they had a lot of time to go eat now. Of course, Niah expected they'd get embroiled in some sort of trouble too. Quiet for a demi-god on a quest was a blessing.

She stood up and stretched. "Let's go get something to eat. I'm starved."

Andy did in fact want to box. She didn't expect Leah would right at that moment run off to the school gym to do it. Leah had won technically she could fight again in the sword thing. But Leah apparently was a lot like Andy and didn't care too much for the sword fighting. Andy wanted to learn because Zari knows how to do it and it would be nice to be able to spar.

"Uh..." She looked at what was going on with Zari and Victoria. The two seemed to be doing more talking than fighting. Andy went over and picked up her backpack and jacket. Neither would she dare leave behind. She shifted from foot to foot trying to decide if she should interrupt the conversation or just send Zari a text. She certainly didn't trust the king to tell her. And Madalyn was busy being badass in her fight with the girl that Andy still wanted to punch in the face. Why was she so punchable?

Finally deciding Andy went for the "both approach". "Zari, I'm going to meet Leah in the gym. We're gonna box." She said it loud enough that Mr. Eyeball probably heard her and might relay it. She also texted the same thing. She backed away keeping an eye on Zari until Zari gave her a nod. Andy didn't feel bad about ditching her now. Well, she still did. But at least Zari knew where to find her.

Andy made her way to the gym. She didn't super know her way around the campus yet. But she found the gym and Leah inside. She smiled seeing that Leah's hair had been pulled up and out of the danger zone.

"I know MMA too. So let's just stick with it. In real fighting situations, I tend to mix it up. But this is just for fun." Andy put her backpack on the bench, her jacket next to it. She took her starting stance and nodded. This time she'd let Leah go first since she had been a bit unfair with the sword fight.

"Mums the word." Ed agreed. He considered asking why she wasn't in class but figured everyone deserved the right to play hooky occasionally. Jaclyn explained that someone new had joined the Mansion and made a scene about it. Ed wasn't totally surprised. The mansion was never truly quiet. It was eerie when it was. He imagined the abandoned mansion from the other world.

A distraction came in at that point someone Ed had never seen before, but clearly thought they knew Ed. Edus' arms were pinned by the hug, something he wasn't ecstatic about even with people he knew. Ed was confused. He tried to pull out of the hug.

"Uh, I'm sorry I don't know what you're talking about. We haven't met." There was nothing familiar about the young man. He was well dressed. Maybe they did know each other? But if someone reacted like that to seeing him again they either had attachment issues or thought he had died in the attack on Cardiff.

"Were you a friend of the family? There are a few other survivors. I wasn't in Cardiff." For anyone who knew where the family compound was and knew what happened to Cardiff, that'd be enough information. Maybe this guy was a friend of a cousin and thought the whole family was wiped out. "I'm afraid most of the family perished, but maybe your friend survived."

Rose couldn't help but be impressed by the castle in front of them. On Earth, castles didn't look like this. They had been cramped things. Then modernization changed the building material and you got ones like Windsor. "Are castles like this built with magic?" She asked as she sat down next to Cassi.

Rose had seen pictures of the castles that existed in the medieval era and they really weren't all that grand. The building of them had been a technological marvel. Most of the time castles were multiple buildings and a battlement wall. She leaned slightly into Cassi, relishing in the warmth of her girlfriend's body next to hers.

"Yeah, let's get something to eat." Colby said agreeing with Maddie. It felt almost useless to be brainstorming ideas without everyone there, but he knew that once everyone did get there he'd hate it all again. With just them, he felt comfortable.

"Sleep well, Willow. Want us to save you any food?" She might want a sandwich or something when she woke up. Then he stood up to look for food. Colby offered his hand for Maddie to take it. Then headed upstairs.

Andy was impressed with Zari's skills. Andy knew she was well-trained so she wasn't surprised, but it was exciting to watch. Too bad the sword hadn't hit the girl with braids. Madalyne was doing good against the dark-haired girl too. But now she was being dragged into a fight with someone she didn't know. Stupid Selene.

"I don't know how to use a sword, that isn't who I wanted to curse, and making you proud really isn't a life goal of mine." Andy hissed under her breath at the possessed doll in her bag. Andy took off her jacket, it was too hot to wear it and fight, and placed it next to the bag. With a heavy sigh, she stood up from the squat she had taken and entered the arena, grabbing a long sword. It was the first one she found.

"Uh, yeah. I have a power I can't turn off too. I won't intentionally shock you. Uh, by the way, I'm Andy." She introduced herself. It seemed weird to get into a fake-sword fight without properly introducing herself, even if the fight was apparently to the death, which Andy was ready to accept if it meant she didn't have to deal with high school again.

As she looked at the girl, Andy picked up on the stance. She tilted her head. She'd much rather box than do sword fighting. The whole reason she had wanted to come here was so Zari could maybe show her some tips.

"Not to distract from the whole sword part of this, but do you box?" There was a bit of hope in her voice. Maybe after they got past this they could spar. Andy missed boxing. Missed that time of her life. Missed how easy it was to be in the ring. How the other's fights had started was not what Andy was used to. Put her in a ring and she'd be a happy camper. She took a prepared stance, that much like her opponent, was from boxing. But closer to an MMA orthodox stance. Her left foot is in front of her right. The sword in her right hand, it looked awkward.

"Oh, suppose I'm ready." Then she was moving. The stance hadn't helped. Andy stumbled a bit, but she swung the sword and was able to tap her opponent. What had been meant as a feint, was almost a trip, but it worked out since she got the hit in.

Andy paced a little. She was nervous. The birds sort of freaked her out. "Are you okay? It seemed like the bird got you pretty good there." She asked, petting Chocolate to calm herself down. She noticed the book, tilting her head slightly. Andy had a whole lot of questions about this place, but no idea how they could find out the answers. And if the answers were even important. She could appreciate the small space of sanctuary. As long as it seemed they wouldn't get in trouble for using it.

"Think this book might have some answers about this place?" She pointed the book out, not knowing Mary had seen it too. She flipped open the cover of the book, it took a few pages, to find writing but when she did the journal mentioned Camp Half-Blood. "Uh...This seems important."

In their compartment, Niah turned on the TV. There was nothing of interest on the T.V. "Let's leave the door open so they know we are injured too." Niah says, but then adds in a whisper. "Means we should be careful about what we say. I also sort of want to eavesdrop."

The mist did tend to twist what people heard enough so no one thought too much of it. And adults tended to discount what kids were saying most of the time anyway. But there was something strangely suspicious about the attack. That was why she wanted to listen to the conversations going on in the car.

Niah sat near the entrance of the cabin and opened the book she had found. She half listened to the conversations going on outside their cabin, and half read the book.

Rejoining the group at the swords, Andy felt a swell of anger. She was irritated at her mom. This was supposed to be a fun relaxing day, but here she was babysitting her. She was irritated at the looks she was getting. And was her mom seriously whispering virgin at half the student body as Andy crossed their paths? But something about the girl Madalyne was facing just put Andy's teeth on edge. She put the bag with the doll of her mom down so Selene could watch the fights.

There was a really tall girl there too now, that Andy didn't know. Obviously. Since she only really knew Zari in the whole school. And she supposed she could say she knew Mai, but only barely. They had said like three sentences to each other since arriving at school. Mai seemed fine. A lot of personality in a small package. But Andy figured they could get along well enough.

Andy squatted next to the bag, "I've never felt the urge to curse someone before now." She said shaking her head slightly but staring at the dark-haired girl. Zari and Victoria were squaring off and that was what Andy wanted to watch, but she also just really hoped the dark-haired girl would trip. She frowned. Where was this coming from?

"Is this your fault?" She asked the doll. "Did those chips have hate spices on them or something?" She really hoped not. She had shared them with Mai.

"Hello, Tatl. Yes, I would like a cookie, thank you." Ed smiled at the young girl and took the offered cookie. He bit it into munching while proceeding to work on the charcuterie board. It seemed it might be used by more than just him as Jaclyn entered the room. He hadn't had much chance to speak with the new member of the X-men, but he was aware she had a younger sibling that went to the school.

"Hello, Jaclyn." He nodded and put the finishing touches on the charcuterie board. "Were you looking for something to eat? If so please feel free to have some from this."

"I heard voices coming from the hall, is everything alright?" Ed assumed it all probably was okay if Jaclyn was in here, or whatever was happening was outside her prevue. That happened at the mansion often enough. He didn't get involved with any of the school's things. He wasn't a teacher. But it was nice to have kids around. It reminded him of home when it was busy. Those were always interesting times.

Rose kept still. When the men finally left, she let out a small puff of air. Guests, over the next day or so. That could mean any number of people arriving between now and who knew when. They didn't know how many or why. And the why seemed like a suddenly really important reason.

"I suppose we can make some guesses as to who. But I want to know what they are planning. And obviously, thwart them." She was in a thwart the villain kind of mood. But that was probably the storybook world talking. An image of curling up near a fireplace and reading a book next to Cassi filled her mind. To get there, there was work to do.

Colby pressed his leg against Maddie's. The touch was a comfort. "Lock her in her own tower? I'd be worried someone like Rumple would show up and free her. But I suppose if we impose some super rules on it, that'd be fine. Do we throw Rumple, Jafar, and Maleficent all into the same jar?"

Colby was getting a little antsy. He hadn't had time to sit still for days. But now that he was, part of his brain sent signals that everything was going to very wrong soon. That or he'd fall asleep. Then his stomach growled.

Ed had gone for a drive early that morning. It was nice to be away from the mansion. He was, other than the teachers, one of the older people in it and sometimes that could get suffocating. It was one thing back home where everyone was family in one way or another. And he had thought way too much about home. He had to do something about the situation there. His grandfather, the eldest surviving member, wasn't doing great. He was going to turn over the family to Ed soon and that would be a whole different mess. So the morning had been quiet contemplation.

Back at the Mansion, he found himself in the kitchen. He wasn't a great cook, but there had to be something he could throw together for a meal. Most of the actual X-men seemed to be gone. He could hear voices in the hall talking. He recognized a few of them. He couldn't quite make out what was being discussed. Ed considered sticking his head out of the kitchen and finding the source of the talking. That or focus on the snack he was trying to make.
