"Are you okay?" Rose looked between both of the sisters. She may be dating Cassie, but she did like Layla too. She was thankful Robin Hood had been able to catch her.

Down under the castle, they went. "Which direction?" Rose's voice was quiet. She looked around hoping for a door. It took her a moment. Eventually, she found a set of stairs heading up.

"I found stairs." She said returning to them.

Colby shoulder-bumped Maddie. "Yeah, you did. That's cool though." Colby wanted to try his hand at the lighting too. He wasn't upset about being upstaged by Maddie. Especially in practice.

He grinned when Maddie told the story about the heist, clearly missing some important pieces of information. But whatever. He looked at Jack, the human one, and nodded. "You got magic too?" Colby tried to remember who Jack's parents were but honestly, he only remembered who Willow's mom was at this point and only because he had spent so much time with her.

It had been been a traumatizing few days. And he had spent so little time with the group as a whole. And disliked a good portion of them.

Andy's eyes went a bit wide when the kid explained what had happened to his group. They had had the book they now had. Andy glanced at Mary to see if she wanted to tell the boy they had it. If the Labyrinth were predictable in any sort of way they could tell him how to get out. But if he was alone...

Could they take him with them? Andy did know that quests were done in numbers of three but she didn't understand why. She ate some of the soup. It wasn't the best food in the world, but it certainly wasn't the worst. She ate it slowly thinking. She didn't like the idea of having a kid whose first reaction had been to hold a knife to her throat with them. There was a certain level of trust she just could never have with him. However, since he was from camp she felt bad for thinking it best to just leave him behind. So Andy kept her thoughts to herself. Let the older kids decide.

Niah nodded. It was as good as any plan. Their food was all ordered and paid for with their vouchers. Niah looked for a table. She found one near the bathroom and sat down.

"Yes, a watch will be a good idea. We need to make sure we are all awake and back here in time for the train too." Niah said, her stomach growling. She could tell she hadn't been on a quest in a long time. She thought of a truck and wind and her friends. She hoped Mads was alright. Was Nancy getting along with the large group she was with? Or had she screamed their heads off yet?

Niah sipped her drink. "Anyway. I prefer the first watch, but I'll take the middle since it is the roughest. If you're not good at falling right back asleep you'll not get enough sleep at all."

Once their food was brought to them she went quiet to focus on eating. Also, the cafe had gotten quiet and she didn't like the idea of talking about stuff in a quiet room. Loud rooms were better for talking about stuff people didn't think was real. That or you pretended it was about dungeons and dragons. No one paid attention if you were talking about that (unless they were also nerds).

Andy saved the guy's 'superlink', whatever that was, for later. She'd have to ask Mai...or maybe Leah would be cool enough to explain it to her. The last major social media app Andy used had been TicTok. She wondered if her account was still active. Or if TicTok was even still a thing.

"Thanks, I do want to try it. I loved Mario Kart." She told him before heading out of the Gym. As they walked Andy slowed a bit and turned to Leah, "Uh can I ask you a really weird question?" She wasn't certain what Leah would think about it, but so far Leah had been cool. She really hoped Leah wouldn't ask why she didn't know what the heck superlink was.

"Basically, I just moved here, right, and I have no idea what SuperLink is. I'm guessing a social media of some sort?" Before Leah could answer Andy looked around realizing she a) had no idea who Agatha was and b) no idea where Agatha was. She saw a trio of people, one older and two freshman-looking.

"Uh, hey, sorry to bother you guys, but where is..." Andy trailed off trying to remember the name, she pulled out her phone and glanced at the email from Victoria. "Agatha's? She realized after she asked that Leah had said she had already been there and probably could have led the way.

"It's not too far, just a few feet to the left there's a line there and a tent with a bunch of occult stuff on it, not too hard to miss." The blonde, older-looking one of the trio said.

"Cool thank you"

"Yep no problem at all." Andy started in the direction she had indicated, paused after a few feet, and looked at Leah again.

"Sorry, right after I asked them I remembered you said you had already been and I should have just asked you."

Ed had barely healed OfAll a tiny bit and she was being tossed around again. He really needed to get hair from her and Max. But now was not the time to be thinking about that. Because Toad had decided to rip him away from the rest of the party and slam him into the ground.

Ed saw stars. He blinked a few times, sure he had gotten a concussion. He needed to get back to the others since now he was a significant distance away and he could swear he heard a loud crack of someone breaking a bone. Shit. But Toad was too focused on him. Fine so be it. If Toad wanted to remove Ed from the rest of the team he'd remove him from the fight too.

With a flick of his wrist, a sad orange light flickered and faded, telling Ed his head really was a little too messed up. He took a deep breath and focused this time a bubble formed around Toad. Ed sent it flying off toward the woods, it didn't go as far as he would have liked, but it gave him some room to move. And move Ed did, back towards the others. To see who had broken a bone.

"I'll go first." Rose said. She wasn't afraid of heights. Not in the knee-knocking sense. But she also knew a fall like that would kill her. She didn't want to die. So she crossed slowly enough to know that her steps were secure ones, but quickly enough that she was safe on the other side fast. She was not lingering.

Then Cassi went next. Rose wasn't sure if she had known how much Cassi was scared of heights. It isn't like they talked about their fears while playing rivals. Maybe it would be a good thing to talk about. How she was afraid of forest fires, now she understood why.

"I will. I promise." Rose said. There wasn't her normal hint of levity. And when Cassi made it across she held her tightly for a moment. "You're safe. You did great."

Colby cheered and hugged Maddie back. It was pretty cool that he had done that. The whole thing was exciting! The blissful time that Colby had been having with Maddie was shattered. Of the others, some of this group were fine. It was Rosalia he didn't like and she wasn't there.

Colby did roll his eyes at the weird goth girl's comment. "I think he is inside." Maybe she didn't remember how Merlin's castle had protected them. Though Colby had to wonder if this place had the same sort of protections in place.

"My turn." He said grinning and turning to the glass targets set up. Since Maddie had gone for lighting he tried the fire spell, something vaguely irresponsible considering they were in a forest, but Colby didn't think that through. His dad seemed to think it was safe enough. His movements were smooth as he drew out the fire and then blasted the glass targets, taking out seven. Only half as many as Maddie had, and that was okay for him. He grinned at Maddie and then flicked his hand sending out more fire and destroying two more of the targets.

"Yeah, I'm okay." Andy nodded at her aunt's question. She resisted saying something snarky to the boy. Andy was irritated at him and while she didn't say anything mean to him she was frowning.

"Apology accepted." Andy couldn't blame him, not really. But she could hold a grudge. She decided she didn't like the boy. Arthur would never have done that to someone. Not after a million years in the Labyrinth.

She didn't sit down. Andy just wanted to leave. Even if this was a good place for them to rest. They really could use something relatively safe to sleep in. Andy wasn't certain how long they had been traveling, but her feet hurt. She didn't want to complain, but they had done a whole lot of walking.

"So we're in agreement, food then find somewhere reasonably comfortable to sleep at." A hotel would be nice because those tend to be safe. There were of course exceptions. There always were. She shuddered and got a little angry knowing Nancy was heading to the worst of them all. She missed her friends. She wished they could have stayed together.

"I'll have a chicken sandwich, no mayo, please. And a large drink." Niah ordered, holding out her coupon for the person tending the till. She stepped aside so Stella and Jason could order too. She would fill the drink with soda for the meal and then switch to water after that. Water was always good and important to drink while on a quest.

"Maybe we can ask around for a hotel after we eat." Niah had a feeling a lot of the hotels nearby might get filled quickly with people who all had vouchers too. She hoped that there would be at least one room they could share.

Emzie mourned the loss of another Jedi. They paused at the breathing body of one of the clones. Someone was alive. Emzie gently placed Ryanor on the ground again and moved to Commander Firtick's side. They checked and found a few wounds, and one on his head explaining why he was unconscious. It took a bit of work but Emzie was able to bring the Commander to consciousness.

"Be gentle Commander, but I need your assistance. Commander Raynor has lost consciousness due to some gas. We are unable to complete the original mission. The secondary option of the self-destruct is the best option we have." What had already been almost a suicide attack was now likely to be the only option. But the Republic needed them.

Commander Firtick seemed to be concussed but at least he could stand. They must hurry. Emzie lifted Raynor back up and continued following the path. Expecting Firtick to follow.

Well, that was serendipitous. Niah smiled at the guy hoping he would take pity on them. She wondered what he was doing out here in what was nearly the middle of nowhere except for some defaced rocks. Maybe he had seen the dragon.

She pulled out one of the gold coins from her pocket and held it out to him. It wasn't camp money and he'd know that. But he could exchange it for cash at any of those cash-for-gold places. If it was a special coin it might even be more than its weight in gold too.

Priorities, Ed had to get Toad off of his face again. His face was starting to hurt enough that he wanted to heal it. Ed gave a good force blast at Toad, who flew back several feet. Orange light then surrounded his face, healing the acid damage that Toad had done to it so far.

"Pyro said something about securing his spot in paradise. Not sure what the heck he is talking about." Ed answered Neil's question as best as he could with the information he had.

Ed had yet to get a strand of hair from the newbies so he would have to get into touch range to heal them. Since OfAll had been tossed into a wall, Ed moved over to where she was.

"Have some healing." He said reaching out and touching her hand. The same orange light that had just covered his face now spread over her healing some of her wounds.

"Sorry we haven't had the conversation about this yet, but uh...Later can I have a hair from you so if I need to heal you from farther away I can?" Ed asked quickly, watching Toad.

Andy smiled at Leah's comment about her kick. She could just imagine the pride in her ...well the pride in the voice of the Drummonds. It felt like ages since she had had a proper fight like that, and even though it had been so short it was nice. She knew it had been both ages since she lived in the gym and also only a few months.

"Hi. I'm Andy. Yeah, I'm new. But not like a Freshman. Or a Senior. I mean I'm a transfer so yeah I'm new." Andy stumbled a bit trying to figure out exactly how to put it. Explaining she had time traveled was off the table. Hopefully, Ed would accept 'transfer' as a good enough excuse.

"No, I haven't been here yet. What is this place?" She asked. It looked alien and futuristic to her, which if she was honest a lot of things did. Her phone buzzed. She pulled it out, half expecting it to be a text from her mom. Even though Selene was with her, she had been oddly quiet since she had basically forced Andy into getting into a fake swordfight. However, it was an email from Victoria.

"Maybe another time. My girlfriend and her roommate are going to the fortune teller's tent right now and I wanted to go too." Andy says, shoving her phone back into her pocket. "Leah?"
