Rose smirked at Cassi's question. Then shook her head. She had no idea. However, the whole setup was strange. Or rather, it sort of made sense to her too. She frowned, thinking. Maleficent had proved herself capable of making her way around town. There was no reason she hadn't been doing it for ages. And ignoring her own daughter. What had happened to that girl?

It was also possible that Maleficent had just kidnapped some IT guy. "You know...This all has to be powered somehow. It might be powering something else too." If they could find and destroy the power source. Even if they couldn't get into the systems, that would probably slow Maleficient's plan down. Whatever it was. "Maybe we can just take the computer with us back to Merlin. Someone in the group probably knows something about computers, right?" Rose's computer skills were definitely not hack-level. She knew how to use a word processor and Google. There wasn't much need for anything else in her normal life.

"Hey, it is okay. I am here." Colby took Maddie's shoulders and held them gently. "I totally understand. I was happy when it was Willow and us. She's cool. I'm not excited about everyone being here too. But we can make it work. Long enough to get through this. After that, we can go to Wonderland and won't have to deal with any of them anymore."

Colby smiled gently. A rare smile that drove both corners of his mouth up. This wasn't his normal silly, playful smile that probably meant he was up to something. This was his smile when he was happy. The one that played at the corners of his mouth when he laughed or was playing with a cat.

"We don't have to go inside. And when she does come back, we'll do our best to stay out of the same room as her. And if need be, I'll light something on fire. She seems to hate that and would probably leave real quick." The smile shifted and became his playful one.

Well, that gave them direction. That felt good, even if Andy didn't like Damon. "Thanks." She said. There was also the implication that they could spend the night there. In the cabin. In relative safety. Andy was used to sleeping in dangerous places. But since she had gotten to camp the previous summer, she hadn't had much need for that. She didn't like the idea of sleeping out in the open now.

She finished her food. It filled her stomach. Another thing she was thankful for. Coming to camp had made her softer. It had given her some meat back on her bones and given her security. She loved that security. But she also knew what living at the bare minimum was like. She knew she could survive, but would she want to? Not without alone. Not without Arthur.

"You did well to survive. Maybe we can help you get home." No one, not even someone Andy didn't like for personal reasons, deserved to live here like that.

Niah let Jason take the lead. She watched their backs. Making sure they weren't being followed. It seemed to be clear. That was good. Niah's mind was on high alert. She wondered if she'd be able to sleep through the first watch even at this point. Maybe she could read some of the book. Reading sometimes helped. That or journalling.

She smiled at the receptionist. Handing him one of the vouchers. She expected the hotel had been inundated with people from the train, so hopefully, they hadn't dallied too long, and there was still one room left. "We only need one room. Oh, and are service animals okay? We have one with us." Thank god it was actually illegal to ask to see the paperwork for service dogs. That was working in their favor here. If he asked, they could say medical reasons.

Ed Penior

Location: Outside
Skills:

Ed couldn't help but wince as Max was slammed into the ground. That was going to be nasty. There was no way Ed could heal all of that, at least not in one try. But the fight seemed to have died down. It was clear who had won their fights and who had lost. Of the X-Men, only Max and OfAll lost. Both of them had been slammed really hard into the ground. Ed was concerned for both of them. And, of course, he didn't have a strand of hair from either of them.

Ed started to make his way toward them, aiming first for Max as Ed had a feeling Max wouldn't be getting up on his own before he could get to him though the strange pod had arrived next to him. The robotic arm grabbed him. Ed didn't even get out a good yell before the pod closed. A few seconds later, the pod was filling with gas. He tried to call magic to protect him but the spell failed as he fell asleep.

Andy was a bit overwhelmed. Zari had defended her, but one of the girls, Beanie, according to one of the guys, kept being rude about Andy's clothing like Andy had much control over it.

"Honestly, I don't care what any of you think about my clothing. My jacket was given to me by someone very dear to me. And the rest is stuff I got when I could." She heard her mom laugh but ignored it. Andy had no desire to get into it all with them.

"I'd like to come to the movie. I love movies. I don't want to be picked on. I'm wearing what I have. I was never into fashion. These clothes are just comfortable." Andy said, irritation heavy in her voice. She had put up with quite a bit. Ignoring all the comments about the fight with Leah. They could ask Leah or her again if they really wanted to know.

"I'm going to go see this Agatha everyone has been talking about." Andy entered the tent.

MZ-33, Protocol Droid
29 pts (Light-Side)

"I am MZ-33. I work for the Jedi. I was working for General Mozh." That wasn't entirely true. The truth would have been to say they work for the Republic. That was their true mistress. But now was not the time to get into semantics.

"Follow me." Emzie led the way further into the facility. Could they leave with the Commander? They didn't tire as humans did. They could carry him forever. Emzie had no moral compunctions about leaving the clone. Emzie's morals didn't work like that. Besides, he had ordered them. That was enough not to argue the matter.

Emzie walked for a ways, following the path their map gave them. Until they found the central control room. There were droids here, but none of them were battle droids; they barely even noticed their presence.

"I assume the battle droids have already all been taken out of commission." They turned to the Commander. "The desk there is where we can start the sequence for self-destruct." Emzie said and pulled up a screen on their holo-projector for the Commander to see. It had two code series. The first was to get the system ready. The second was to start the countdown.

Niah returned the gold to her pocket with a shrug. If he didn't want some of the gold they had, that was his choice. It wasn't all Roman coins, but if that had been the issue, she probably could have found some in the bags heavy with the gold they had gathered.

Niah didn't mind the middle seat. She took it without complaint. Just happy to be in a relatively safe position. A part of her brain screamed it was a trap. But if the guy answered Nancy's questions, she would feel better about it. Her bag was clunky, but she kept it on her lap.

She felt like the questions they were asking were the ones she wanted to know, so she didn't have anything to add. But because of the small part of her that was freaking out, watched him carefully. She wore a smile, so it didn't seem creepy.

Rose Buckner

Location: The Moors

Rose beamed a bit at the comment from Cassie about her being an excellent knight. It wasn't something she had ever really thought about doing. Except in that 'go to the ren fair sort of way. But hey, this was a fantasy world, so why not? That'd be a cool future here.

As they made their way farther up they found Flynn and Rosalia. They had escaped on their own, which Rose found equal parts impressive and hilarious. What a shitty prison if they could escape within ten minutes of getting put into it. Thankfully Cassie remembered where they could go next from there.

Colby Jackson

Colby shrugged since Jack went in without responding. He was now torn between going inside and seeing what the others had learned and continuing the practice. Both were valuable in their own way. But he was strongly leaning toward practice. He remembered how much he hated being in the big group. There were too many personality clashes.

"Want to go in and listen?" Colby asked Maddie, opting to let him decide. He did glance at their fathers' to see if the pair of them had any interest in going inside. As it stood, they could practice more. Magic was complicated, and just because they were good at a spell now in this calm, safe place didn't mean they would be in the heat of a fight. Colby refused to put all his eggs in one basket.

Andy's little untrusting heart didn't like that Mary told Damon they had the book, but it was too late now. He at least seemed excited rather than mad. Andy leaned into her aunt's embrace. It was comforting. Something she had had precious little of for too long. Especially without Arthur around. Arthur was a comforting presence. Even if Andy felt like she had to protect him all the time. She missed him and hoped he was doing well.

She ate her food quietly and looked at the map the boy had produced. She was not a great judge of maps. She couldn't guess much of the meanings of the marks on it, except simple things like trees and walls. The book map was much more helpful since it was an active map and helped them. It had led them here in a way.

"Whichever you prefer." Niah shrugged. She ate her food quickly, which was a good thing. She huffed a little when she noticed the men entering. "Time to go. If you aren't done eating you are now." Of course it always happened when they were eating.

"This way." She said, leaving the remains of her food on the table. No time for being nice when men with clubs were following you. And Niah had a nice fear of random groups like this since the incident that had turned Mads into a werewolf. That hadn't been their first group of werewolves. And without Nancy and her fantastic ability to just pop their heads...well Niah didn't like close combat with them.

Niah led the way out of the building through the secondary exit and headed for the hotel on their slips. They'd check-in, hopefully, get a room that was semi-defensible, and get some much-needed sleep.

Andy wasn't certain about approaching the tent. For much the same reason that Leah had said. There were a lot of people there. And she knew exactly zero of them, well that wasn't totally true cause Madalyne was with them. Andy had met her. But Leah started talking to them and complimenting her through it, so Andy could only smile and feel the heat of a blush warming her cheeks.

However, that blush deepened quickly. The guy's accent was a bit hard to understand, and Andy sucked with fashion. It was clear that he was giving her fashion advice. She hadn't really had a chance to shop for new clothing. She had like three outfits; all thrifted from before time traveling. Though she supposed she did have one outfit that that guy Max had summoned for her. She didn't know what to say.

Thankfully Zari appeared. She had Mai with her. How they had crossed paths Andy didn't know. But Mai was asking for more of the chips she had shared earlier. Andy nodded. "Yeah, I'll ask my mom. As long as she didn't summon them into existence, they're probably on Amazon or wherever." Andy thought there was a non-insignificant chance her mom had just summoned the snacks into existence.

Andy hugged Zari tightly. "We just went to the gym. We didn't even get to fight long cause I got the perfect kick in on Leah and laid her out. Then we met some senior that was messing with these machines. You'll want to see them later." Shortly after that, Zari was going a mile a minute again, asking the group who had been around the tent who they were.

Victoria hadn't really said anything, but Andy gave her a wave as she left. Neither Victoria nor Zari looked all the worse for the wear. So, however, their fight panned out, and it seemed okay. It seemed at least that she didn't have to introduce herself. Zari had basically done it for her. She smiled.

Andy still didn't know what SuperLink was, but hopefully, she'd figure that out soon enough. There was something one of the guys with a French (?) accent said that had her attention. They were doing a movie night. Andy loved movies. She was super out of date on what movies had happened too. So much media to catch up on! She wanted to ask about it but had already been embarrassed quite a bit. She didn't think she wanted to hang out with what were clearly "cool kids."

"Oh, uh, no. Not a Freshman. Just a transfer." Please for the love of literally anything, don't ask where they had transferred from.

Ed Penior

Location: Outside
Skills: Magic

Ed was annoyed with Toad. He was frustrated with this fight. There was way too much going on for Ed to be able to keep track of everyone and everything, and he knew that healing a broken bone mid-fight would be basically impossible. Max was putting on a wild display, which included summoning corpses. Now beside Ed, a tombstone bearing his own name had appeared. He really didn't want to think about it. He was going to have to ask Max about his premonition, though.

"Look, I don't get what this is about, but I need you just to take a break or something." Ed said to Toad, and he flicked his arm, and a blast of orange light hit Toad. Despite having just stood up, Toad crumpled to the ground. To be certain, Ed knelt down and checked for a pulse. Reassured that he hadn't just broken a family law Ed stood back up. He had to address the "EDUS" tombstone in the room. Ed made his way back toward the center of the fray.

"Max...about this tombstone...I think you have something to tell me that I'm not going to like hearing. Also, I can't heal that break during the battle. I need to set it before I can." The fight at least seemed to have ended for Mary. Pyro was down, he had definitely picked the wrong person to try to fight. That left OfAll's fight, Max, Neil, and Bethany. Bethany had Black Tom and was stabbing him with his own shadows; talk about 'stop hitting yourself.' Neil had the zombies under his control and pelted his opponent with rocks, which was vaguely hilarious.

He needed to heal the residual damage Toad had done to him. His orange light flickered from his hands, healing only the barest superficial damage. His head was still ringing. He slowed down his breathing and concentrated, the light grew steadier and the aches from the fight went away. His head cleared up.

"OfAll, are you doing okay? If you can get to me I'll heal you again." With her flying around and her own opponent Ed wasn't certain if he could risk diving into the fight again. However, it did seem this fight was intentionally one v one, which made him even more nervous about interfering with another fight. He glanced at Mary to see what she planned on doing now that she had proven not to fuck with the person currently hosting the Pheonix.
