Andy's smile exploded into laughter. She was not laughing at the outfit, but enjoying it. Part of her wanted to revolt against the angsty villain look, though she had leaned into that look long before she had met her mother. She couldn't help but love it. "I love this." She spun around. She had watched some anime before Northwood school and some edgier stuff with the Drummonds (though usually with them she went for the B-movie stuff, but Ashe had been a fan). So she had some pop culture knowledge from her time. She didn't know the specific show that this outfit was from. But she could tell it was drawn from the genre of Magical Girl.

Andy took the lightbulb. She nodded as Lady Nimue gave her announcement that they had ten minutes left. "I've never done any sort of precision control like this." She admitted. Most of what Andy had ever done was punch and electrify that punch. It was only on and after Genosha that she tried to do anything more creative. She couldn't blame the students here for not having done anything crazy with their powers either. Though, it seemed like the school setting was built for them to experiment with their powers. Mary Sue was a Freshman, and April had had a point. Why risk something that probably wouldn't work when real medical attention was right there?

She relaxed, letting her body find its natural position. Andy held the lightbulb delicately. She had to be careful with how much she sent into it. She also would have to try to prolong the electricity. Normally she only did bursts, but she had done extended attacks. Her tryout had shown she was capable of that, as well as her mock fight with Magneto. So a low-level amount of electricity for a longer period of time was her goal here.

As Andy concentrated on it, the filament heated up and produced light. She smiled, holding it a little longer before letting go of the energy.

"Concept proved. I can power a lightbulb."

Ed flinched at the explosion. For a moment he remembered Iris in her last moments. Seeing Mary on fire was not helping with that mental image. But Mary had it under control. It wasn't killing her. He took three slow long deep breaths centering himself.

"Same name." Ed focused on something ridiculous. One of Perry's ghosts had the same name as him. He waved at the mall cop-looking guy. That helped. It pulled him from the moment.

"If we leave will the ghosts fade?" He asked Perry. "They seem rather incompetent at least."

Rose Buckner

Location: Rapunzel's Tower

"I did sleep well thank you." She told Red. As Cassie got ready for the day she was there for her if she needed a hand, but did her best to not be overbearing. Only near at hand if asked for help. Otherwise, she let Cassie be as independent as she wanted. Rose knew she'd get mad if someone was mother hen-ing over her.

When they were both ready to head downstairs Rose led the way. She had been relieved that Robin Hood had said the wound was healing nicely. Medicine here was not great. That might have been the only part of her that didn't want to stay here, well not only part, but it was a loud part. She'd focus on that later. Time for a meeting, time for plans and decisions. Soon they'd face down Malificent and they'd help protect this world and their own for a bit longer.

"I was enjoying watching you sleep. You looked peaceful. I didn't want to ruin that." Colby says and leans in to kiss Maddie. Then there is a knock on their door. Colby pulls back quickly and smiles at his dad. "Morning, we'll be down shortly." Colby answers. His smile crooked.

"Best get dressed. I'm starving so hopefully there is breakfast." Colby backs up so that Maddie can stand up. He doesn't mind the ribbing from their dads. There is something so familial about it. If it had been any of their 'orphan' friends he probably would have been pissed. But from their dads, it felt...right.

Andy was thankful the others, and especially her aunt, were with her. She followed Damon's directions. She wanted to suggest that they partially split up so the monsters wouldn't know who to follow, but there were probably so many monsters it wouldn't have mattered.

She clutched the sword, and smiled at her aunt, tears still pricking at the corners of her eyes. "We have to lose them. We need some way to disguise our scent or confuse them." She said, and as soon as she did she remembered she could do magic. She smiles a little sheepishly and then pulls and pushes at the Mist. Flawless copies of them appear and start running down a different path.

"Let's keep going." Her sheepish smile has turned happy. She's proud of herself.

The three days on the train had been surprisingly quiet. After their first day, Niah had been worried they would never make it to California. But here they were. She took a deep breath and looked toward New Rome. They could have walked there from here. She longed for the secluded little town and the coffee shop and the comforting hills. She longed for her home. After a moment she looked the other direction, west, toward San Francisco.

"Alright, to get to Mount Tam we're going to have to take a couple of busses or a taxi. We have to cross the bay and go a bit north." She points in the general direction of the Mountain that is their destination. "Taxi would be fastest, but also over a hundred to get there. The bus will take like four hours, but would only be about ten dollars each." Considering they had eaten on the train the whole way across the country Niah wasn't sure how their purse was looking. They had been lucky to get the money from the rich Cyclopse but she had no idea how much was left at this point.

"Of course." Ed says, letting Runa step away. He drops his arm and steps closer to the new woman. He places his hand gently on her shoulder and orange light emanates from his hand. The light is weak, probably because he is distracted courtesy of the fireballs raining down on them. Thankfully none hit anyone. He does heal the woman some, but not as much as he would have liked.

Ed then holds up his hand above his head. Even though thus far the fireballs had missed the group he did not want to risk getting hit by any of those. He calls up his shield to cover and protect the four of them. This one has some unique properties though. Their magic should still be able to exit and go up at the demons. He can tell it seems weak.

"They are afraid of heights even though they have some way of flying? Interesting." He doesn't doubt the woman, he only finds it confusing.

Andy took the rope from Mary Sue. She first tested that her electricity would pass through it. When it did she smiled brightly. "I've never really used a rope. But I'll give it a try." Andy had seen enough bad movies to have an idea of what to do with the rope. She tested it, and at first, she was pretty bad with it.

After a moment of trying though she got the rope going and was able to do something resembling the things she had seen in movies. "It'll take some time to get used to, but I think I could learn how to do this. Smart!" She wished there was a way to help Mary Sue with her powers. But since the girl barely even knew what she could do she wasn't sure how to help her.

"I agree." Ed said in response to Perry's comment about consent, even for healing. He had taken liberties in the heat of battle, which was also why he had blanket permission from the group. It was necessary.

However, with Perry's powers doing something...bizarre, Ed was stunned for a moment. There were two human ghosts, one of them looked like a mall cop, the other some very old-fashioned guy. Of course, there were also the Greys around them. Ed didn't know what to make of the aliens...especially ghost aliens. The quick answer was to deal with Cortez, and now that Perry had punched him it did open options.

Rose snapped awake from the pillow. After getting her bearings though she only smiled. "I've been woken up worse ways." She said to Layla. "Thanks again for letting us share the bed." Both of them had been too tired for anything other than the shower. That was fine with Rose. She was letting Cassi set the pace for that anyway. Rose was more liberal when it came to relationships than most of her peers.

"Suppose we'll have to get up and do more things today." Her stomach rumbled and the craving for coffee reminded her that she had lived in a world where such luxuries were easy to get. If they stayed here she'd have to get used to cowboy coffee, no more Kurieg. She got up and got dressed quickly. "Need a hand?" She asked Cassi.

Colby Jackson

Colby woke in a tangle of blankets and his own body parts. This was normal. He never could tuck in his sheets as he moved too much. He always seemed to be in a slightly awkward position that didn't look comfortable to the outside observer.

His own shower the night before had been nice. It had washed away the sand of Agrabah. He had liked the area well enough and would be happy to return there sometime, but to him, it wasn't home. The forests they had been in weren't home either. He wondered if only Wonderland would feel right, or if he had been too young when they had left there that even it wouldn't feel right. That he would never feel quite in place here. He wouldn't say he missed Kansas. He wondered if any of the others felt that weird sensation of things not being exactly right.

He got up and dressed, and waited for Maddie to stir. His mind darted from thought to thought. There was a lot to think about. And soon they'd be dealing with Maleficent. What that would even entail they didn't know yet. How many goons did she have? What sort of forces were they? They had gotten a laptop, maybe they had guns too. There were some big questions Colby only nominally paid attention to.

Andy was relieved letting Mads take the sword. They were able to move. But they were being followed. Mads handed the sword back to her. She reluctantly took it, mouthing 'I'll find you.' She turned and started to run.

Her eyes burned as she did. But she didn't let herself cry. Now wasn't the time. She couldn't afford to. Andy made sure that Chocolate was near her. She hated herself for running knowing what would happen. Stupid prophecies.

Niah sunk into the seat of their reserved cabin. She was thankful for the room. Part of her didn't want to dare to eat, but she had been trained to eat when the chance was given while on a mission. You didn't turn down (non-cursed) food.

There wasn't anything to say. But she had warmed up to the other two. There was something about doing quests with people that made that happen. You trusted them with your whole self while on a quest. You couldn't but learn to like them at least a little. And Niah was still rather impressed with how Jason had talked them out of trouble at the hotel.

"Interesting." There were more. And this new member did not know Dr. Strange. She was from long before his era too. "I'm Ed. I have some healing ability if that may help what ails you?" He undersold himself some.

Prudence then caught his attention. He nodded at her statement. Whatever strange thing that had happened to her had not seemed to change her much.

"We should keep moving. This place is...uncomfortable." Ed said. He still kept one hand with Runa, but held one out to Annika if she would allow him to heal her.
