Rose Buckner

Location: Rapunzel's Tower
Skills:

Rose rolled her eyes a bit. She didn't like either Rosalia or Colby. They both seemed to think they were in the right all the time. But this place was different than back home. There were some things you couldn't avoid. But she remembered the fight the two of them had had, and at the time she had sided with Rosalia. Colby was an idiot.

Rose still hadn't determined which team she wanted to go with. She could do either. She wouldn't consider herself 'stealthy' but she was a hunter. She was better at it than most, but specifically in the wilderness. Traipsing around a castle was not what she considered an environment that she'd be skilled at. She was leaning more toward the assault group.

Colby Jackson

Location: Rapunzel's Tower
Skills:

Colby was about to snap, but Willow stood up for him. He gave her a small smile. "I actually don't care which team I go with. I've got something up my sleeve for either. Sowing some chaos for distraction, or getting in somewhere I'm not supposed to be. I'm good at both." Colby didn't even think he was bragging there. He had done plenty of petty sneaking about, and yeah, he could cause a good distraction if called for.

He looked at Merlin. "I can go with team distraction." He felt he was being unjustly blamed for the skeleton thing. That was ages ago (like two days), and no one had gotten seriously hurt in the long run. He also just didn't care what Rosalia thought. He could forget her as soon as she was out of sight and be a happier person for it.

Ed Penior

Location: Asteroid (Group: Mary, Flynn, and Perry)
Skills:

The group was able to move on. They got into the room Mary said they were supposed to meet the others. They weren't there. With the explosion that had happened, he was concerned that maybe they had lost some of their group. That was concerning. Who knew how many might have been lost and they wouldn't know for a while.

Ed looked around the room they were in. Perry had hacked...socially engineered her way into the main computer. Was this the room Guin had said to meet them in? "Can you get the cameras pulled up? If there are any. And find the others? And a map of the place. That would be useful." Ed was tired of wandering around uncertain of what hallway would lead to what. Splitting up might have been a bad idea. Mostly because finding each other was so difficult.

Ed Penior

Max had arrived and he hadn't caused total chaos. He had been helpful. The fight was over, for now. He frowned, Max knew Runa, but not him? When had he met Runa? The memory of the first time he had met Max in the kitchen at the mansion filled his mind, along with the tombstone Max had summoned in the fight. His name had been on that tombstone.

His jaw tightened. Max didn't know who he was. He glanced at Runa. She'd know. He could ask and would know. But did he want to really know?

His daughter...his daughters would grow up without him if it was true. Ed had always figured he'd be young when this happened since Max had known him instantly. Hell, this sucked.

He would do his best to protect the world. That's what mattered now. He'd go down to his very last breath to keep the world safe. That was the world with his daughters. He didn't care that Madalyne wasn't biologically his. He loved her as if she was. That was enough for him. The second worst part was his stupid cousin would become the family patriarch. The family would fall apart under his command. He couldn't dwell on that.

"Sorry. I guess we haven't met yet." He says the words carefully. "Or rather you haven't met me. I'm Ed." And you are a portent of my death. He carefully didn't add. The clock to his death had started ticking. So much for Max not causing chaos.

Ed cleared his throat. "Anyone want any healing?" He changed the subject.

Location: Dorm Room
Skills: Enhanced Reflexes (Passive)

Andy was tired. She wanted coffee. The school coffee was okay. But she wanted a good cup. Something hot that warmed her bones and reminded her of early mornings at the Drummonds. The problem was school rules when it came to having things in the dorm. She might have gotten away with it, especially since she didn't have a roommate right now. But she didn't want to push her luck. She also wanted to just have the coffee ready whenever she wanted it. She looked up from her notes and stared for a moment into space. Finally, she sighs and looks at the doll containing her mother.

"Weird question but would you know how to make an ever-fill mug? Follow-up question, could you make one that was full of coffee?" Selene would sometimes be willing to treat Andy. She wasn't sure what combination of personality bits of Selene made that happen. She also was never sure if she could trust it. After having your mom almost destroy the world it was hard to trust her.

The doll that housed the spirit of the immortal sorceress SELENE! remained silent. Eerily still too. Had it not been a doll, someone might have been forgiven for assuming that the creature was playing dead - or pointedly ignoring her daughter's questions. This still could be the case. SELENE! was very petty. And not above making her daughter grovel to get an answer out of her.

Andy let the silence hang for a while. She knew sometimes her mother would do this. If Andy wasn't prepared to ask she wouldn't have started to ask in the first place. Finally, as if a rubber band snapped she sighed and said. "Please? This is something I could really use and I need your help." She relented and tried to keep her voice light. Andy didn't want her mom to hear the defeat or annoyance in her tone.

SELENE! smiled sweetly, the lids of her doll eyes blinking. "I know how to do many things, my child," SELENE! said. "I have walked this land since time immemorial. And I will continue to do so when you are long forgotten. I can teach you to enchant your flask, but you'll need to do something for ME. I want a virgin. A juicy one, please. I'm sooo hungry..."

Andy was hopeful for a moment. That had been shattered as soon as Selene asked for a virgin. "I am not getting you a virgin." The school was full of them but that didn't mean Andy was going to grab a freshman or something at random and feed them to her mother. That was just...evil.

The doll shut her eyes. "Then I suppose I can't help you, poppet," SELENE! lamented. "I'm too dreadfully hungry to begin to even think about your silly little coffee problem. It's such a tragedy. Just one little human soul and I could help you..."

"You ate like three months ago. You ate a whole lot then too." Andy said crossing her arms and staring down the doll. A thought crossed her mind and a popular T.V. show character followed behind that thought. She smiled. That was not something she'd follow through any time soon. Also, that'd take a lot of prep work.

SELENE! gasped. "Are you shaming me?!" she shrieked. "How about this then - I need a new outfit. This one is dreadfully outdated. Do we have a deal? New clothing for a spell?"

"Outfit we can do." Andy nodded. "I'm sure there are some good ones we can find online." Andy smiled. Maybe she could learn to sew and make doll clothing for Selene too. She chose to ignore the shaming comment. If Build-a-bear was still around that might be a good place to look. Maybe she could ask Mads to go to the mall with her and Zari. That could be fun.

Somehow, a smile plastered itself on the porcelain doll's frozen face. "Excellent!" SELENE! cheered. "Now, listen closely, my child..." And she began to teach. It was a fairly straightforward series of incantations, all done in SELENE!'s native Greek. Of course, the pronunciation was probably something that Andy might find difficult, having not learned ancient Greek. "Got it? Good. Now do it," SELENE! ordered.

Andy listened closely to her mother, trying the words carefully mentally. Then she tried them out loud, watching the doll to see if she approved of the pronunciation. She didn't put any power into it yet.

The doll cackled. "Oh my, that's going to need a bit of tidying up!" SELENE! teased. "Unless, you wanted to make a never ending goblet of donkey shit, then you're doing it perfectly." She repeated the incantation again, a bit faster this time, as if that would be at all helpful for Andy to follow.

Andy resisted a heavy sigh and tired again. She did not want a never-ending goblet of donkey shit. She wasn't sure what the difference of what she said and what Selene had said was, but she wanted to make sure it was right.

"Yeesh, you're making my ears bleed," SELENE! complained. "Do they not teach you ancient Greek at this silly school? Maybe I need to go have a chat with your teachers. When do the parents get to come and yell at them for being cunt fuckers?" SELENE! asked. She then hemmed and hawed for a moment, before offering Andy some concrete advice on the part of the incantation she was messing up. "Try it again - this time, don't do it piss poorly," she then added.

Andy bore the scolding. Andy wasn't certain if Selene meant that she had called her a cunt. Andy was honestly surprised there was a word for cunt if that was so. She was thankful that Selene gave her more advice on how to produce the phrase properly. She tried again. Learning from her mom would be stressful if it was ever for something she didn't care about.

"Finally! Now do it like that, but with some real POWER behind it!" SELENE! praised.

Andy picked up the to-go reusable mug that she had at hand. It would work perfectly for this. She held it tightly in her hands as she repeated the words she had practiced. She pushed with her awareness of the spirit energy she contained. Pushing that into the mug with her words.

SELENE! watched with hungry eyes, watching the power flow out of her daughter and into the mug. She was excited, thrilled beyond belief. She had insisted that Andy sign up for magic courses at this academy, but truthfully, Andy had always seemed to have the magical potential of a slug. "Aww, my little one, that was so good!!" SELENE! praised. "Now taste it - does it taste like the blood of virgins? Err, so sorry, coffee?"

Andy drinks from the mug a little nervously. The coffee is hot, but not scalding. The flavor was a wonderful blend. It was a little nutty with a light citrus flavor dancing in the background. It was rich and perfectly sweet with just the right amount of coffee. It was literally the best cup of coffee Andy had ever had. She sighed deeply soaking in the flavors. "It's perfect." She replies. "Can't say it tastes like virgins. But I like it." She did consider that if Mads was a virgin she'd know what they tasted like...and they were delicious.

The doll tilted her head to the side, looking at her daughter with some affection. One day, she was certain, her child would be drinking blood instead of coffee. But if she had to lead her slowly down the road to damnation, then so be it. SELENE! could guide her to destruction. One enchanted cup of coffee at a time. "Good, mummy knows best," SELENE! said.

Andy didn't see the look. Her eyes were closed. "Thank you for your help. I'll make sure to find you something extra goth." Andy says smiling and opening her eyes. She really hoped Build-A-Bear or some other doll outfitter was an option.

Ed Penior

Location: Asteroid (Group: Mary, Flynn, and Perry)
Skills: Healing

Ed held his hands up to his face and covered his nose. He snapped it back into place and orange light emanated from his hands healing him. He grunted then nodded. "I'm good, thank you, Mary." He stood up.

It was as good idea as any to just walk away from this. Hopefully, by getting Perry away from the ghost aliens they'd disappear. This whole thing was frustrating and annoying. He was ready to go as soon as the group moved.

The fight was getting more and more intense. Things were heating up literally and figuratively. Many of the fiends had fallen, but there were still more. Ed's shield only helped once. He was thankful for it again. It had probably just saved his life. Annika was stabbed. Ed didn't have a hair from her so couldn't heal her right away, but that didn't matter as Max appeared. He was able to beat back more of the fiends and heal Annika, though something odd happened with the healing. Max also wore Strange's cloak and necklace. Annika had mentioned two others, which made seven so far. He didn't like those numbers. What had Strange done to make so many Sorcerers?

Ed gathered a bunch of the demons together into a bubble. It was three demons. That wasn't a lot, especially considering there were probably around fifty of them left. He pulled more into a different bubble, both close to each other. It was only another four, but that would be seven that they could get rid of. "Max!" Ed yelled. "Portal the fiends away!" He pointed to the bubbles. Ed threw his shield hand back up producing another one. He wasn't about to stop when they had proved so effective so far.

She was proud of her magic. It had been a good idea and was working well. It felt a little weird to be so proud of herself. She normally felt so behind the others at camp. Mostly because she was so much younger than most of them. Arthur was the only one really in her age range. Well, there was that new girl but she had only been at camp a day before all the quests happened.

"Thank you." Andy said blushing a little at the compliments. They had a ways to go still so they couldn't sit around. Andy looked up at Mary waiting for her directions. She clutched the sword close to her.

"Yeah we would have to transfer busses." Niah had gotten better at understanding Jason's accent over the last few days. She nodded and looked at the two options. "If we've got the money for the Taxi that's the better option in the long run I feel like. But we're talking almost $200."

Niah led the way over to the taxi stand. When a taxi was free she leaned over through the passenger window. The driver didn't give her any weird vibes. He seemed to be human.

"Willing to go to Mount Tam?" It was a long ride if the driver was near the end of their shift he might be reluctant to go that far. He nodded. And Niah climbed in.

Rose Buckner

Location: Rapunzel's Tower

Rose got some food onto a plate for herself and Cassi to split. She listened to the plan. The use of the genie was an interesting add."Maybe we should have a plan for what to ask would be a good idea. God knows asking for something under stress would be a bad idea. We could ask for something that wouldn't be helpful or make things worse." Rose suggested.

She took a bite of her food. It wasn't a lot and wasn't great, but considering everything it was good. "Even if it is a general request." She shrugs.

Colby Jackson

"As much as I'd love to hide away all day up here, we should get down there. They are making plans on how to deal with Maleficent. We need to be part of that." Colby said. He also was super curious what the plan was with the genie. That was a big ace in the hole for them. Though he suspected by now Maleficent would be aware of the item being stolen.

"Let's go." Colby stood up and headed for the door, waiting for Maddie to join him before heading down. He heard the group talking, catching only a bit of the conversation. Something from Hood about a secret door. Damn they had missed something already. All well. Maybe Willow would fill them in.

Mary Sue Sullivan

Location: TRAINING ROOM A
Skills: Enhanced Reflexes (Passive), Electrokinesis
Skills: Friendship

Andy stares at the pieces that Mary Sue has summoned. "I'm going to be completely honest here. I have no idea what a rail gun is let alone how to put it together." She stares a bit dumbfounded at the pieces and picks up the length of the railroad. It is heavy, but she could probably hit someone with it while channeling her power, which would be efficient.

Mary Sue gave Andy a wicked grin. "Here. Let me try again and I'll explain." She gave a careful look at the pieces in front of her, and grabbed at thin air, before her contraption was deftly held in front of Andy. "I don't know much, but electricity induces magnetic current. People use that, at scale, to accelerate objects and fire them." Mary Sue heaved the railroad spike out of Andy's hand, and place it on the track between the rails. "This is usually really inefficient though, since you need a lot of power to fire it. But that's not a problem. You're the battery." She said, placing it on the floor across from Andy. "Just... Please don't aim it at anything living. "

"I have some experience with messing with magnetism with my power." She thought of the spar with Magneto. She hadn't had much chance since then to fiddle with her ideas. It hadn't been very long, from her perspective, since the Summer on Genosha. Andy picked up the completed railgun from the ground.

"Lady Nimue, I believe we are ready." She glanced at Mary Sue, nodded once, and pointed the gun away from any people. She hoped the wall could contain the railroad bit. Andy, if asked where her power came from, would never have been able to quite explain it. She pulled and pushed at something within her as she normally would. The hair on her arm raised a little. The gun did its part. It took all that energy she was creating. This time she wasn't slow and gentle as she had been with the lightbulb.

As Andy ran her power through the gun, it was very shortly after that what was once in between the rails no longer was. You could blink and miss it, as the heavy piece of track raced out at roughly the speed of a car, and firmly embedded itself in the wall of the training room. Mary Sue's jaw dropped at the staggering result; feeling the strangest juxtaposition of giddy excitement and horror at the fact that they just destroyed school property. She frantically looked between Andy and Nimue, with a half muttered "Sorry." That was drenched in hope that this would be met with satisfaction and not repudiation.

Andy was smiling. She couldn't help it. That had been cool. Here she was dressed up like some anime villain with probably the most destructive piece of equipment she had ever seen. This was cooler than the rope, and a lot easier to use. "This will be useful." She told Mary Sue. Andy didn't super care about the tournament, that wasn't why she was going to school, but heck if she had to do it she might as well have fun with it. Andy looked to Lady Nimue, waiting for her verdict.

As expected it didn't take much to destroy his shield, but it had done its job. It had protected them. They were now having more fire reign down on them, and locusts. Thankfully it seemed the cloaks didn't like the bugs and were playing defense against them. He did have some of the infernal devils attacking him directly, something needed to be done about those. He flicked his hands out, orange energy pushed the two demons off of him.

Ed tended to be a defensive magic user. He could protect those who would do the damage needed. He held his hand above his head again, summoning a shield to cover their heads from the fire. This time the shield felt stronger. He couldn't be certain that it would hold better, but he hoped it would. Ed did wish he had his staff on him, he could fight with it. It had never been the first thing he did, but it would have at least given him a melee weapon in this chaos.
