Current @ColdAtlas PM me the headphone model? I doubt it’s a proprietary cable solution, so you can probably replace it for cheap.

Yeah, we should. I’ll need to jump through some hoops to defeat bypasses, but that sort of thing is doable.

Okay, my biggest opinion regarding a seniority system is that we should never limit the number of posts per x amount of seconds. I know for at least my RP, we rapidly post, because that's just the style, and how it works. Limiting the posts per time would be a huge detriment to us, and many others who post in that style. Are there really so many spammers to sacrifice the convenience of loyal members, even if they just so happened to recently come across the Guild? In fact, I believe this is one of the features that is very unique about the Guild, that it doesn't restrict you or think you are a spammer because you post often.

<Snipped quote by TheMaster99> Mine too. Maybe the trouble only happens for exact-size animated gifs? <Snipped quote by LegendBegins> You mean like a 'Mark as Read' button? <Snipped quote by Mahz> That sounds like a very interesting idea. It would definitely make the Guild stand out. I would support such a feature. Of course, I can't imagine that the implementation would be simple, especially since balancing it properly would be important, but that doesn't stop it from being a good idea.
Essentially, yes.

<Snipped quote by BBeast> This is something that bothers me about forum pagination in general. I think the unread-post tracking system will help out. For one, you'll be able to jump to "latest unread post" and I may be able to expose how many unread posts you have on previous pages to let you know you may want to click "Prev Page".
I believe the "Last Unread" feature should appear on the subscriptions screen. If it's on the topic itself, it would need to be rather small. I also believe it should come with an "ignore" option.

<Snipped quote by LegendBegins> My bad. I appear to have missed page 45 until just now. I came in at page 44 from a notification and once I reached the end I failed to notice that there was another page, so I just replied to page 44.
It's fine. But I do believe that we should integrate it prior to pushing any major updates.

<Snipped quote by LegendBegins> I was meaning something more like how Mahz announced things to us before the creation of this thread- a text-box on the main page, not in a thread, up the top, containing important news. Such measures would only be used for important announcements, of course, such as letting everyone know why their avatars have all disappeared. Then again, I'm not sure how people who haven't been following this thread have reacted to the disappearance of their avatars, or if more people are following this thread than I realise.
<Snipped quote by TheMaster99> I'm in favor of putting updates on the home page like we used to. Though, I would also make the box able to be X'd out of, so it won't clutter the space if already read.
Which is why I wrote this. ^

People don't typically read the news section and in the end this very thread is where the listing of updates goes. I know when I notice a difference in something on the guild one of the first places I head is here and typically my question is answered within a page or two of scrolling.
Yes, but people don't generally read this thread, as evidenced by those who ask why certain thing have changed without reading the context.

Or you can stop worrying about whether to use one topic or two, and just use an announcement on the home page itself like was initially suggested. A lot of people aren't going to pay attention to if there is a new post in the news section (especially when this thread is almost definitely going to hide the actual update thread as latest post). They will pay attention to a big announcement box in their face (such as when it said "guild is having difficulties etc" before the rewrite).
I'm in favor of putting updates on the home page like we used to. Though, I would also make the box able to be X'd out of, so it won't clutter the space if already read.

<Snipped quote by LegendBegins> I think you're overthinking it. It may seem like needless clutter, but a single topic for every newsworthy feature is probably going to be more effective than some complex system to ensure the same topic can be reused.
Though, it wouldn't be complex. When the Guild updates, place a description as the latest post, and retitle the thread with the current Guild version and the date.

<Snipped quote by LegendBegins> Probably more like a new post for every major feature. Otherwise people will ignore the thread as simply being further comments, and not new news.
Not if we lock it and retitle it every time the next "version" of the Guild occurs.

<Snipped quote by ZayZe> What we really need is an announcement on the front page letting users know when something major happens that needs their action (such as, say, avatars and signatures needing to be reuploaded/modified). People won't miss that.
Such as a sticky topic in news that is updated when announcements are made.
