It's probably best debated now for those of us that are unfamiliar with those teleportation methods.

I would assume this to be important for later to make sure teleportation doesn't become the end-all-be-all to getting around any defenses.

So, the conclusion is that shields stop teleportation?
I'm wondering if it might be best to hand over GMing duties to one of you guys. As previously mentioned, I'm going to have less free time than I initially thought when I started this interest check three weeks ago because since then I've been offered a much higher paying position. It's a financial services role for a multinational bank and there are a lot of systems and terms and policies to learn (six weeks of training), and I feel like my posting rate would be too slow to keep up with both this and my Teen Titans RP. Does anyone want to take over as GM?

Congratulations on the promotion!

I wouldn't worry about your posting speed too much, but I get where you're coming from. I'm generally not one for a GM role, but I'm game to throw ideas around. If I recall, you mentioned you hoped for this to be a collaborative story, so maybe we can get a little more literal about that if necessary. I don't know too much about what you got planned as far as world-building, but it could be interesting if players could suggest/create their own "quests" for the party to take if there's any sort of mercenary/adventurer gathering place they find themselves. Could also otherwise suggest problems the party could solve. But before all that, we'd need to do some broader-scale world-building to make sure any smaller elements fit in.
Rationalizing how different weapon and defense systems from various realities is one thing that makes my brain hurt.

Everyone wants their vessel to stand a chance in a fight.

Personally, I’m not worrying about it too much. I’ve discussed what the Malevolence could do with Sep, and firepower or not, basically all it has going for it in the capacity of a warship against this enemy is the Ion Cannon, and even then, that won’t directly work on the Replicators until it’s properly attuned/modified with help from people that know what actually hurts these things, like the Hammond.

The real big guns of the Malevolence are its commanders. Grievous is operating on Legends/2003 feats, and Sinnali is a top-tier Force user, again operating on Legends Force abilities more than Clone Wars/the movies.

So, as far as a role for this ship, I expect the Malevolence will spend a lot of time doing little but preparing to strike at a critical moment, collaborating with other ships to make sure it can do so effectively. Grievous will probably manage that. Meanwhile, Sinnali will probably join the ground teams in investigating that way, perhaps playing body-guard to the more tech savvy. Or those roles might be switched; depends on how I’m feeling when a moment to choose arrives.
WIP posted just to have a place to hold this.

@Lewascan2 can I just assume that I can drop my peeps on the Malevolence?

Yeah, feel free.
Well I had claim to the start off the first page

The almighty power of GM privilege.
It seems the honor of claiming the final post of the first IC page is mine. :)

A transmission from the Covenant delegation was quickly processed and responded to in a rapid-fire murmur of orders to the droids, as Sinnali stepped out of the lift.

>TO FIRES OF ANTIQUITY
>RESPONDING TO REQUEST: TRANSFER OF DELEGATION FOR BATTLE PLANNING
>DELEGATION MEMBERSHIP: APPROVED
>TRANSFER VECTOR: APPROVED
>DOCKING LOCATION ATTACHED
>AWAITING ARRIVAL

Sinnali nodded at the alert of the arrival of another friendly IFF, the Thoth, and finally turned her attention from her holocommunicator to properly greet her guests aboard the Malevolence. Tucking the device into a belt sleeve, she quickened her pace to make up for lost time, approaching the Republic and Hammond delegations. Her black cloak trailed behind her lightly, a lightsaber hilt swaying on each hip.

Habitually, her presence was both closed and contradictingly open, the eddies of her open curiosity swirling in the Force, as she raised a brow behind her blindfold at the black armor the Jedi and Clone Troopers were sporting. Special forces? Local preferences? Perhaps. This was another universe, after all.

But what almost brought her up short -even though it really shouldn't have, in hindsight- was the sight of a dead man walking among them. Fascination overtook trepidation alongside a concoction of glee, as she made a show of eyeing the Jedi up and down with a brief tilt of her head, wetting her lips. If he was alive... from what she knew of how that had happened... Well, it wasn't like she kept tabs on every Jedi there was, but when someone was involved in the death of a fellow Apprentice? That deserved attention. It was a shame he hadn't lived to tell the tale. Well, hers didn't, but this one had, which meant... something was very different in this galaxy far far away.

"Master Qui-Gon Jinn," she grinned widely in genuine amiability. "The pleasure is all mine," she returned his greetings, sketching a bow of her own. "It's not every day Jedi and Sith can unite under a common banner, and I, for one, am quite elated at the novelty." She hummed cheerily at the Jedi's luminous presence, her ever-present tendrils in the Force resisting the urge to poke at him or his mind. It had been... a long time since she'd last met this Jedi, and the hunger to find out how much this local version differed to her own was not small.

Addressing the group of delegates as a whole in turn, she said, "I am Darth Sinnali, Commander of the Malevolence. Though, in practice, 'General Sinnali' is my rank and most practical address." For the benefit of the non-Jedi, she added, "'Darth' is something of a... 'religious title' is the best comparison. Feel free not to acknowledge it at your leisure. But I digress..." She bowed again. "I speak on behalf of the Sith Order and my galaxy's Confederation of Independent Systems to aid in whatever way we can to snuff the Replicator threat before it can spread across the rest of this galaxy and the wider multiverse."

"Speaking of which," she returned her attention to Master Jinn and nodded. "We have heard much of these 'Replicators' in a broad sense, been lectured on their threat, but as you say, we have yet to hear how this all began and how it has devolved to this point."
Hmmm I could be something like a Berserker/Human/Axe-Wielder at least. 🤔

That could work.

Berserker is a sub-class of Barbarian, which you could choose at level 3, and a greataxe is a very common choice for a barbarian weapon. Though, Barbarian abilities mean they don't really wear armor. But since we're not staying 100% true to official D&D rules, the GM may allow it.
Hmmm, isn't that a turn based game?

I'm not familiar with American turn based game. I only did play some asian turn based game such as Mana Khemia and Honkai:Star Rail.

Video games are a poor comparison.

Dungeons and Dragons is traditionally a pen and paper RPG. It's designed to use dice, but we're translating the abilities to pure narrative assets that don't use dice, since that will flow better in a RPGuild roleplay. So, yes, you're at least correct that it will perhaps be turn-based... in the sense that all text RPs are technically turn-based.
